Lucille follwed the teachers gaze to the ceiling.

Huh.

What was she looking for, exactly?

She glanced back at the proffesor, and back at the ceiling once more, brow furrowed.

Nope, still wasn't doing anything.

And now her neck was starting to cramp.

Oh, brilliant.

Evan watched the professor with an increasing interest every moment. The man had a style and class! He looked up to the ceiling too, unsure what they were waiting for. Then he remembered the professor was invisible at first... he quickly made the connection, or at least he thought he did. Better to ask, no? Raising his hand, he asked "Are we waiting for a ghost, professor?"

Brunhild closed her book and looked around. A niber of her class mates were staring up at the ceiling. She briefly glanced up, not wanting to miss anything important, and saw that there was nothing.
She turned back to her desk and thought. The professor was using a disillusionment charm when he came in. What if the thing we're looking for up there is invisible too?
Brunhild raised her hand. "Professor! Is the thing we're supposed to be looking for invisible, like you were earlier?" she asked.

Sara didn't know what to think... why was everyone looking at the ceiling...herself included! Deciding that it was probably a trick, like when the professor appeared out of no where earlier, Sara began looking around the classroom for anything unusual... but being a first year, Sara didn't really know what unusual was in a charms classroom!

Still, she kept looking...

WHAT THE.. Mebbe not.

What was up with the ceiling yeah? Everyone looked all weird following Ashbys eye direction to the ceiling. She sure wasnt doing it. Surely not. Nope. Nuh-uh.

Giving it a few minutes Tammy found her head inclining to see the ceiling.

Nothing!

"Professor, what are we looking at?"

Zoe was very excited to step into the Charms classroom for the first time. She hurried in and plopped down in a seat quickly so as not to draw attention to herself. There were already quite a few students present and she didn't want to interrupt if a lesson had started.

Once she got settled she looked around and realized that not many people were making any noise and there were some, including the professor, who were just staring up at the ceiling. Should she be doing this too?

She looked around and noticed another girl who looked confused as well.

"Umm, I'm sorry, my names Zoe. I just got here and I'm a little confused. Do you know what is going on? Has the lesson started? Are we supposed to be staring up at something?"

Iris walked into the Charms classroom to the oddest sight ever ... Why were they all looking up at the ceiling ... " ... Um ,... Hi professor ... What is everyone doing? ... " the lesson hadn't already started had it? ... There wasn't many people there yet ... so It couldn't have done.

Mina looked down realizing someone was talking to her. "Oh, I'm Mina." she replied as she blinked in confusion. "I'm a bit confused myself actually. I think we might be looking at something invisible?"

Looking back up at the ceiling, straining her eyes slightly trying to figure out what could be there. Looking back down she gave up. "I really don't see anything and now my head hurts." she pouted a little and set her head down.

Giving up on staring at the ceiling before she got a stiff neck, Zoe looked down when Mina answered her. “Oh, Hi Mina. Hopefully your head will stop hurting now that your not straining your neck. I guess we should just want until the professor says something. Did you go to the Astronomy lesson or Ancient Runes lesson recently?” When she finished she sat her chin delicately on top of her folded hands which were placed on her books on her desk.

Mina nodded slightly as she raised her head from its resting place on the desk. "It's getting a little better, yes." She looked over at Zoe and sighed. "Yes, just turned in my Astronomy homework but still working on the Ancient Runes at the moment." She glanced around watching the other students for a bit then returned her attention to the girl beside her. "How about you?"

Zoe's eyes lit up when Mina said that she had been to both classes. She hadn't gotten a chance to talk to anyone that had been there too.

"I was there for both and just couldn't believe what happened. That boy in Ancient Runes was so horribly rude and disrespectful. I felt so bad for Professor Lupa, she seems so nice."

"Lord Borr is something else all together. I have never met a 'man' quite like that before. Have you heard anything about him? Is he always like that? How did you do the homework for that class? I can't even think about how to start it. I think I still might be in shock after it all."

A little out of breath after her rant she reminded herself to slow down and not accost the girl with anymore verbal assaults. Well at least until they knew each other a little better maybe. Keep your tongue under control, she reminded herself.

Bella was sitting and was gazing up at the celing to see what Professor was looking at. unable to get what he was staring at she looked down and observed the Professor on what he was about to do.

Mina nodded in agreement. She really hadn't had a chance to talk to anyone what was at either class as well. "I like Professor Lupa very much as well. It's just a shame some people feel it necessary to be rude and disrespectful to those that they deem different." Ancient Runes was a favorite subject of hers and she wasn't going to let a bad experience on the first day dirty her view of the class or it's professor. 'Which reminds me, I still need to finish that homework..SOON,' she thought to herself.

She thought about Astronomy lecture and cringed slightly. "I think I'm still in shock over the whole class, let alone the professor," she voiced. "The homework was a challenge but I pulled something together. Lord Borr is a character, for sure." she added not wanting to say what she really thought. Her mother did teach her, if one doesn't have something nice to say about another, one shouldn't say anything at all. But then again, that never did stop anyone in her family.

Carter was surprised when the professor magically appeared. You think he'd be used to that by now, but no. And now what was he doing"?? Carter followed the professor's gaze... straight to the ceiling. What was going on??

Bella looked up at the ceiling. Okay...so what was supposed to happen? She looked around at all the other faces, and was glad to see that she was not the only one confused. She looked back up again, maybe there was something...but you had to look really hard...? She sighed, and thought about the other persons question. A ghost? Bella really wanted a ghost to come. She was fasinated by them! So she waited, and looked...up...

Lyra's head snapped away from the ceiling when she heard a familiar voice. She looked around for a few seconds and quickly found Evan staring up at the ceiling. She sighed heavily when she saw him but was NOT happy with the question. Lyra turned her head back again and stared at the ceiling. If Evan was right and they were waiting for...ghosts...Lyra would be in a huuuuuge trouble. Yes she has a fear for ghosts. Lucky for her she hadn't encounter one this nor last year so all was fine...hopefully.

Abigail sat drumming her fingers on her desk waiting for her first charms class to begin. She’d been away in her little dream world and when she finally came back to the real world she realised most of the class –including the professor- were looking at the ceiling. She wondered if she’ missed the start of class...was she meant to be looking at the ceiling?

When others started asking what the whole sealing thing was about she sighed in relief...she hadn’t missed a thing.

Iris looked around at the other people in the class, wondering when they wre going to be told about what they were doing this lesson. She tried to avoid Evan's gaze when ever it was possible, she really didn't want to talk to him.

She spotted Satines mass of purple hair and walked over and grinned at her, with a look that asked if it was alright for her to sit there next to her as she sat down - Of course Satine wouldn't say no to her ... if she did, Iris would use the puppy dog eyes.

"Do you think that you might have some time after class to work on the Ancient Runes assignment? I haven't found anyone to do a reading with yet. I understand if you're busy, though". Zoe didn't like putting herself out there, but she hadn't had a chance to talk to many people yet. 'Life is all about risks, right Zoe,' she said sarcastically to herself.

"I'll have to do a Rune reading on myself to see how I pull off the Astronomy assignment," she added at the last moment smirking.

"Sure, we could meet up in the library," Mina smiled. "I haven't had time to a reading and I thought everyone else had partnered up already." She was happy to find someone else that hadn't done a reading yet.

"I'm sure you'll pull off the Astronomy assignment," she laughed. "It's not like Lord Borr, really knows what he is talking about most of the time."

Bored with the ceiling now, Cela went back to practicing/playing around with various charms.

She glanced up at Professor Ashby occassionally but in general she was pretty content to entertain herself.

"I'M HEREEE!"

Well, that's what Ella wanted to yell. But she resisted.

So, Charms, eh? How'd she do in this class? It seemed okay. Not too hard, anyway. Just a bunch of spells. That's what her brother told her, anyway.

But how many times had Hunter been right?

"Morning, professor..." she said slowly as she saw him appear. "What are we all staring at?"

Bella then walked into the room, reading her book, waved to the teacher, and took a set near the middle section of desks. She then began to read people's thoughts, it was very interesting. Everyone was thinking about the celling? So bella than closed her book and began to look at the celling as well.

"Very interesting," she said with her light tone of voice.

Arrick stared at the ceiling for a long moment, lost interest and started staring at everyone in the room, including the professor. The collective staring was making him feel like the professor was leading them on, seeing if he could make them all foolish. Arrick wasn't a mindless fool, he certainly wasn't.

As time wore on, he wondered if perhaps there was something in the room that wasn'. Maybe that's what it was all about? Maybe the ceiling didn't exist. Maybe there was something invisible, or almost invisible, lurking about.

With that in mind, he peered upwards again, frowning, then back at the professor.

Marie sat there waiting for class to start. A few times she glanced at the ceiling trying to figure out what was so special about it that everyone was looking at it. Nope, she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, looked like another old ceiling to her. Looking around the room Marie didn't notice anyone she knew yet so she just sat quietly waiting for class to start.
