Still making an almight pain!face, Jake glanced up at Ashby and tried not to laugh. "Yeah... I figured that out," he said, a slight smile playing on his lips. Jake needed his knees... for like, kneeling and stuff.

As he focused again on clanking the stones in his pocket, Jake looked vaguely around the classroom, his eyes settling on Cela, whom Ashby was now addressing. What picture?

Casting a confused look at the Professor, Jake saw that he was now looking at the ceiling.

So... Jake looked up at the ceiling too. Makes sense, right?

Edem blushed, wanting nothing else to poke himself on the head for saying sorry while the professor thought nothing was wrong with what he did. Ugh. He was already starting to like this professor--at least he's got much better sense of humor than the other professors. A smile flashed across his face.

The ceiling?

He quickly looked up, following the professor's gaze. The ceiling, what? He narrowed his eyes trying to get a better view, but noticed nothing else than.. the ceiling. What has it got to do with the summoning charm which the professor claimed to 'might be used' in that day's lesson? Now staring at the professor with a frown on his face, he wondered what might be in store for them.

Chelle looked at Professor Ashby and then back at the ceiling and then at the other students who seemed to be doing the same. I guess Professor Ashby is just different. She shrugged and thought of another spell to practice.

Looking at Celandine, Chelle also thought practiced the Levitation Charm. What was it now, yeah! She took out her wand and muttered, Wingardium Leviosa!' Her parchment started floating in midair just as Edem's quill had done. Satisfied with her preparations, Chelle sat with a smile on her face.

I wish I'd have done the same with Edem's quill, and released it on top of his head!

Sabrina was sure she looked like a fool just staring at the ceiling above with Celandine and Professor Ashby. They weren't even doing anything in perticular ... except staring.

At the ceiling.

Maybe they were supposed to be tracing patterns or ... looking for some kind of hidden charm? Sabrina concentrated on watching the ceiling and when after about two minutes of ... staring, when the blonde found nothing, she gave up and turned back to the task Ashby had told her to do before he started mysteriously staring at the ceiling.

Pulling her bit of parchment towards her, Sabrina pointed her wand at it almost lazily and started changing it's colours.

Blue. Red. Pink. Blue. Bronze. Silver. Violet. Yellow. Blue again.

Hmm. Blue and bronze.

Adrienne took her attention away from her quill-summoning as Professor Ashby responded to what she had said earlier. And promptly laughed, as what he said registered. Especially since it sounded oddly like the professor was doing beat poetry or something.

"Hey, maybe you should think about a career change, Professor," she said with a grin, before going on to adress what he had actually said. "It was really more a matter of me knowing you were probably more likely to try and trick us, as opposed to innocently being late to class or something." As if professors were usually late to their own classes. And then it seemed everyone was curious about the ceiling, simply because Professor Ashby was looking at it. "Professor, are you expecting the sky to fall in or something?" She figured nobody else was actually asking. So why should she stay quiet?

Evelyn looked down when the Professor spoke. 'Hmm...i seem befuddled? Alright i guess...' she thought, but then really was confused when she saw the professor start to stare at the ceiling. 'And here i thought nothing else could get any weirder.' shaking her head, smiling, she lazily leaned her head back again and stared off into space.

Sooo. For some reason everyone was staring at the ceiling. Hoookai.

Samson looked from Professor Ashby to Sabrina, whom he was not sitting next to, and then glanced at the ceiling. Any... minute... now... He was half expecting something to pop out or blast it's way through, like confetti or party poppers or bird poo. Meh.

Maybe it would only work when everyone was staring?

When in Charms class, do as the professor does. Samson tilted his head lazily and allowed it to loll that way as he stared at the ceiling.

Now what?

Arianna balanced her legs on her chair, back and forward, like a little girl on a swing, which was sort of difficult for her, since she was rather tall. Her thick wavy hair was pulled back on a knot on the top of her head and her face had those thick black glasses she head to use.

She looked around the room, it seemed to be filling up just fine. The professor looked ... actually the professor was looking at the ceiling. Ari looked up too.

Was something supposed to happen?

Lyra looked around from the seat she was sitting on. Why were the students staring at the ceiling? it just didn't make sense. Lyra looked over to where the Professor was and noticed that he too was staring at it. Has everyone gone mental? But still, as curiousity was taking over like always, Lyra carefully looked up at the ceiling, actually if she just leaned back in her chair a bit and held her arms on the back of her head she was quiet comfortable with staring at the ceiling. She stared and stared wondering if it would fall down or something...now that would be creepy. "Uh..Professor Ashby why are we staring at the ...ceiling?" she asked.

Okay, that's it! Michelle was really bored as nothing was even happening in the class yet, except maybe a couple of students staring at the cleiling. But was that a part of Charms? I don't think so! Chelle was really looking forward to starting the class, but not this way! Of course she couldn't ask Professor Ashby, she was just a first year. Besides, the other students had made her job easier, they had already asked him!
Chelle looked around for a familiar face, but there were none. Professor didn't mind talking in the class, if only there was someone she could discuss the spells with, or practice the spells on. But no, there was nobody!

Tiberius had nearly jumped out of his skin when the professor appeared out of nowhere. He'd been distracted, thinking on the rune readings that he and Rayedem had done earlier. It was making it hard to concentrate.

He was sitting with his head down at his desk when he noticed that everyone was beginning to look at the ceiling. Giving his eyes a half turn in that direction, he didn't see anything and shrugged, waiting to find out what was going on.

Michelle entered the Charms classroom. She looked around and not seeing anyone she knew decided to take a seat right in the center of the room.

K entered the class room then took her seat she then jumped at the Proffessor staring at the ceiling it scared her he and come out of no where she never got scared for anything put stuff that poped out of nowhere. This was creepy what was going on this was going to be a very intresting class K thought. "Why are you staring at the ceiling?" K asked with a werid face to her.

Arianna chuckled, the professor was NOT on the ceiling, just staring at it, all mysteriously. These girls had an awfull creative imagination, if she just looked down she would see him there. She heard several people asking him what was going on, but kept quiet, looking for Rafe, she had a little revenge planed for him and she couldn't wait to tease him.

She pulled her glasses up with a finger, and her lips made a pout, without her command. When she noticed a boy,

... with his face on the desk, she tilted her own head to his level "Hey, is everything ok?" she asked him with a friendly smile and a wink behind her big thick glasses.

Chelle let out a smile when another girl asked Professor why he was on the ceiling. She wanted to tell the girl, but thought it would sound rude. Michelle was not usually rude, so she just kept quiet. Looking around the room, she noticed a first year boy who had his head down on the table. Must be bored just like me! I wonder what's up with Professor!

Satine hurried into the classroom and instantly noticed the Professor and many other students staring blankly up at the ceiling....hmmm...what an odd sight to walk in on.

She followed suit and put her hands in front of her as she walked with her head up towards the ceiling. She used her hands as feelers to make sure she didn't run into anyone or anything and finally took a seat while making sure to stare at the ceiling as the others were....

Mina looked up from her text to see several of her classmates looking at the ceiling. She averted her eyes upward and looked confused. 'It's going to be an interesting class,' she thought. She continues looking up at the ceiling and shrugged before looking back down at her text. She closed the textbook, setting it down and averted her eyes once again upward.

'I wonder what we are looking for?' she asked herself. Staring at nothingness was starting to give her the slightest headache.

Why was everyone staring at the ceiling again? It looked creepy. VERY creepy.
Well, at least there were some same people in the class.
Nataly waited for the class to start, looking weirdly at those who stared absent-mindedly at the ceiling.
Well, I'm good in charms.

Sylvia was too busy with her bag t notice that everyone was looking up, even the professor. Once she'd finally been able to pull her parchment out of her bag, she decided to copy everyone and look up.

Wha?

"What's so ... great about the ceiling?" Sylvia pondered to herself.

Nancy casually strolled into the Charms classroom with a small smile plastered across her face. She had always liked Charms. It was fun. Plus the professor was rather...well, crazy which made it even more fun. Upon taking a quick glance around the room her blue eyes almost immediately fell on said professor who was in fact staring intently at the ceiling. Which was a totally normal thing to do. Well, it would be, if there was anything to stare at. Which there wasn't. Nothing Nancy could see anyways.

Shaking her head in amusement Nancy took a few steps towards Professor Ashby to stand next to him, mimicking his actions and now also staring up at the ceiling. "Anything interesting to see up there, Professor?" She inquired without even glancing away from the above ceiling while tugging a strand of dark-blonde hair behind her ear.

Someone was.. talking to him? Looking sideways at the girl, he forced a small smile. "Not really. no... but" he sighed. "But I don't really want to talk about it."

He watched as more people turned to look at the ceiling. What was so interesting, up there?

Jack sure got a kick out of this Professor....but he couldn't figure out why they were all staring at the ceiling. The ceiling was boring, so Jack continued to play his invisible keyboard. Always practicing, Jack is...

Arianna shrugged at the boy's answer " oh well.. suit yourself " she said sticking her tongue out and burying her chin on her hands annoyed. She gazed up at the ceiling again. Is is going to start raining cauldron?! She sighed and looked around the room, almost everyone was peeking at the ceiling.

Virgi entered the room. Charms. Maybe I'll like it. Virgi didn't see anyone she knew so she just sat down at a desk, not knowing that it was the same desk that her great great uncle had sat in, years before.

Upon entering the classroom, the first thing to greet him happened to be the professor, as well as what looked like most of the class directly at the ceiling. And in confusion too. Blink blink. Maybe someone had jinxed all their necks to become bent at the horribly awkward angle?

Heaving a sigh, Terry craned his neck as well, managing to maneuver himself quite wonderfully to an available seat next to Sylvia while his head remained tilted, his eyes glued to the ceiling.

Maybe the power of all their gazes combined could make one sooper-dooper awesome powerful x-ray vision and they'd all burn holes into the ceiling?

...he failed to link the idea to Charms in any way though.
