Raven headed up to the 7th floor and to the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy, she was looking around to see if there was anyone around so that she could talk about what she needed to say regarding what was happening with having to return to her old school. She leaned against the wall and waited for Torin to arrive so that she could set up her precautions then to ensure that if there was anywhere around, they wouldn't hear.

Torin headed towards the place where he had arranged to meet Raven. He was just on time as far as he could tell. A good thing seeing as in the girl's current state of mind she might get annoyed with him if he was late.

And there she was leaning against the wall. He hadn't noticed her at first 'cause she was in the shadows. "Okay, let's get started here." He took out his wand so that he could help her get this place set up.

Raven took out her wand then remembered the one spell that she wanted to cast, normally it was a 6th year spell but she took it upon herself to learn it when she was at Galway in her 3rd year. "Muffliato" she muttered then moved her wand, if this worked, no one would be able to hear what was being said.

He smiled as she performed the muffling charm. That was a good move by her. Moving his wand after her, he circles the area with his wand out and created a shield to keep others from coming near them. "Okay, I think that's good enough, no?"

"Yeah that should be good, I think its safe enough for me to tell you what's really going on." Raven said as she put her wand back in her robes so that she could easily reach it if their security became breached. She looked around one more time before she cleared her throat.

"Alright, apparently Galway Academy got a hold of some records from my past that aren't exactly great and they're blackmailing me with them so I have to return to the school, I took the liberty of accessing my own records with a little help from some of my old friends." she said, then removed a file folder and handed it to Torin.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Did she just say what he thought she jut said?

Taking a seat on the floor, he shook his head at her. "But I don't get it. Why would they do that to you? What's the point?" Why would a school ever blackmail an old student?

He took the folder that she handed him and opened it, looking at what it contained. "Geeze, Raven. Your record there is worse than mine was at my old school."

Raven sighed slightly and leaned her head back against the wall, she wasn't exactly proud of her past and that was the one thing that she kept hidden from everyone.

"I was the reason the school was considered to be one of the most prestigous schools in the country, once I left they lost that recognition. My guess is that they want me back only to retain that honour." she said then shrugged slightly and slid down the wall so that she was sitting down on the floor.

She looked down at the floor when he made a comment about her record, well for a 15 year old she had caused quite the amount of trouble. "I'm not exactly proud of what I did, if people knew then I wouldn't be in school anymore."

Miles laughed at Fia's words "Don't remember what you were going to say about ivan? That has to be a first..." he teased. Looking around he wandered down the hallway enjoying Fia's company like always but on a different level because she was his. The thought made him chuckle with a grin on his face.

As they walked and spoke of Christmas he laughed, "Well yeah but she made a special point in telling me that so I'm telling you. I just assumed you'd come over." Hmm....maybe he should ask her.... "Hey Fi umm...you remember when you were telling me how Theo hadn't asked you out so you weren't actually together?" Yeah.....no lack of subtlty there...smooooth. "Well..." Stopping he scratched the back of his head, "Fia will you go out with me?" There now they'd be official. She was HIS hands off.

"Yeah well, Ivan wasn't as important as...other things were at that very moment." Yeah! That was it! His kiss was more important than anything. WOW! Miles was like...made of awesome! And speaking of awesome...

She nodded her head about Christmas and giggled lightly under her breath. He was so cute with his laughter...cute? Yeah! Cute! She could think it! It was allowed, especially now! She turned her head towards Miles as he spoke her nickname that only HE called her but this time he seemed to be fumbling for words. Another nod came from her as she was answering his question about the reasoning behind why her and Theo were never truly together. He never had the chance nor the time to ask her but...

Her eyes widened with excitement and her smile grew with every word he spoke until he got to the very end. On the inside, she was giggling, laughing, jumping up and down, squealing, squirming and just....becoming a girl! Soooo unlike her in so many ways but soooo deserving to come out at this very moment.

She stopped walking but kept a hold of his hand. "Yes! I would love too." There! That meant they were official right? YAYYYYYYYY!! She began swinging their joining hands as she was just so giddy it was just...happy Fi!

"Okay that makes no sense . They want a troublemaker back for recognition... Wouldn't you make it bad recognition?" This school must be crazy or something 'cause Raven had been out of control from what he was reading.

"It's okay, Raven. We all make mistakes. I've done a lot of bad things too."

"Well no one else in the education world knew about my past, they only knew about how brilliant I was, that's where the recognition came from." Raven said then ended up hitting her head off the wall and winced slightly, that wasn't a bright idea.

"I suppose that's true, even though my mistakes seem to constantly haunt me."

"Oh, I didn't know that you were such a good student." Hopefully that wouldn't sound like an insult. He didn't mean to insult her intelligence, he just didn't know she was that smart seeing as he had never seen her really study or anything.

"Well, they do me too. My sister never lets me forget the time that I set the potions room at my old school on fire. Or when I spray painted the Headmaster's office."

WOOHOOO!!! His kiss was more important than her smart remark about Ivan. Well of course dur but..well it still felt good to hear her say it. And he liked it that was just...wow...he wouldn't mind doing it again but...well they were in the open and Fia didn't want to get in trouble so...yeah...baby steps....

As he fumbled over his words he grew redder and cleared his throat once he finished. Dang it. Why didn't things work out like they do in your head? Since when has he, the eloquent one, been at a loss for words. He could talk his way out of anything usually. He broke into laughter as she started swinging his hand and grinned. Now they were official. This was just...awesome. Pulling her close he wrapped his arm around her and headed toward the room of requirement. "Well...now that THAT'S settled," he said with a smirk, "I'll leave it to you whether we tell mum...but if we do be prepared for some jibes from Ivan." He laughed and looked down at her. Honestly...he could not have been happier now...well except... "And now...to go work on our mayhem...unless you want to do something else that is."

"Well, not many people know of my true intelligence. I don't study out in the open because it totally interferes with my image that I portray of being the devious troublemaker." Raven confessed, she wanted to keep the incredibly intelligent part of her hidden for that reason.

"Spray painted the Headmaster's office, that's pretty ingenious and amusing though I don't suppose he thought of it that way huh?"

YAY!!! She was OFFICIALLY Miles' girlfriend which meant...they were dating each other. "We tell mum," she spoke as that didn't take long to decide. She was rather fond of his mother, especially since she didn't have one of her own. "And as far as Ivan goes, I'll punch him in the gut if he says anything." And that was that! Anyone had a problem, they were going to eat her fists for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

"Imma owl father as well. He will be happy," she spoke out as they walked towards their special room. "And...I want to get into something...anything...even if we get detention, let's do it, together!" Okay! She always tried so hard to keep him OUT of trouble and now she was handing it to him on a silver platter. YUP! She was happy!

"Oh, so you sorta lead a double life then. Prankster by day, nerd by night." He wasn't teasing her now. No, he understood her. She had a reputation that she wanted to withhold and there was no real shame in that, even though there was no real shame in being smart either.

He snorted. "You can say that again. My parents? They missed the humor in it as well."

"Exactly, I mean I stay up till a good 2 to 3 in the morning studying in the dormitory with the blankets up over my head." She rolled her eyes slightly, she could tell that he wasn't teasing her, if he was, he was asking to be hexed into next week.

"Oh well, my parents really don't exactly know of what I've done."

Wow. That was insane. "You really shouldn't do that though. I mean... look at me. I'm a prankster and also a nerd. You should let people see how good you really are." She probably wouldn't agree with him, but he wanted to tell her what he thought.

"You're lucky. My sister keeps tabs on me. Or tries to."

"I guess I should, maybe that would be better for me in the end because I'm just exhausted all the time." She said then shrugged slightly and leaned her head back against the wall, resting her hands on the floor.

"Well, I'm an only child so I really don't have to worry about having a brother or sister attempting to keep tabs on me."

He nodded at her. "You definitely need to change your work schedule then." He could tell that she was tired just by looking at her.

"Wow, I can't imagine being an only child. I love my sisters."

"Yeah I do, I will be showing my genius side more often now so that I can actually get some sleep." She said then attempted to keep her eyes open so that she wouldn't fall asleep.

"It sucks sometimes, I mean I'd love to have a sibling to talk to and hang around but at the same time, being an old child does have its advantages."

He noticed that she seemed to be struggling to stay awake. Frowning, he said, "maybe you should head to bed soon. You look exhausted." They had done what they had planned to do and it was getting late.

"Well, you can have my sister," he joked. He would never seriously say he didn't want to be Dani's brother.

Bored didn't even cover it.

Nope. It couldn't even begin to convey the dullness, radiating from her very being. Not. One. Bit.

Trying to figure out something to do she'd started wandering and somehow she'd found herself here, in this hallway. The one with the tapestry with dancing trolls on it... Her cat had followed her.

Letting out a sigh, Melanie seated herself down on the ground riiiiight in front of the tapestry, and stretched out her legs, and just stared at it.

And she stared. And stared some more. OH SO BOREDLY.

This corridor was familiar.

That suit of armour was familiar.

That window was familiar.

That tapestry was familiar.

Heck, even that girl was fami-

"Muh-muh-melanie?" Jake asked, looking down and to the right, his foot poised right over the girl's legs. Another second and he'd have stapped on her. "Wuh-what's up with yuh-you?"

What, a girl couldn't sit in a corridor for 5 seconds without getting stepped on? Swiftly moving her legs away from the foot threatening to come down on top of them, she looked up, ready to give whoever the foot belonged to a piece of her mind, and then....

Well she recognized Jake. Plus...the foot clearly didn't have any intentions of stomping on her legs. It was a good foot.

"That would be me. Melanie Lockhart." she replied, popping up into a standing position from her spot across from the tapestry. "And your Jake." Yep. Just to clarify. "I'm perfectly good. Only, a little bored..."

Right, a little.

On to the more pressing topics though. "Why are you talking like that?" she asked curiously, titling her head to the side slightly. Maybe he'd picked up some funky accent or something... Perhaps it was a new trend and she should be talking like that too...

Or mayyyyybe her hearing was just going funny. They were all good possibility's in Melanie's opinion.
