There's plenty of seating at the back of the train. Grab a compartment with your friends, it's time to head back to school!

It would be very difficult not to notice them unless you were blind to parchment or couldn't read.
He stuck one last parchment onto the last remaining empty pane of glass, satisfied with his distribution. Reaching into his backpack, he removed another bundle of fliers, this time they were different from the ones he had been splattering about the back of the train. Instead of sticking these new ones up, he moved himself into the middle carriages of the train.
Lizzie's eyes searched the compartments, trying to find some people she could spend the trip back to Hogwarts with. She waved at some girls she recognised, but continued. Suddenly hearing her own name she looked up and spotted at open compartment door a few doors ahead of her. Raising her eyesbrows curiously she walked closer and heard that it was Jenn talking. Smiling widely as she saw the girl she said Hi Jenn! Haven't seen you all summer, how's it going? She gave the girl a hug. They had never been best friends, but Jenn was a lovely girl and Lizzie instinctivly felt that this was the compartment she wanted to spend the trip in. Taking one more step forward she saw Chris, and hesitating for less than a sec she gave him a quick hug with one arm and said Hi there Chris. Everything ok with you? With a smile she entered the compartment.

Virgi entered the train with her trunk. Her father did come with her and kissed goodbye and everything but he was just gazing over her older brothers prefect badge. She walked and walked on the train and finally found a compartment with one person in it. She had her twin bro but he was to busy gazing over girls than to sit with his best friend. When she entered she realized the boy was a first year like her and how cute he was. She sat down and looked out the window. It looked so cold and dreary even inside the station.
She sighed.
She had never lived anywhere away from her parents for more than three weeks. She thought it would be hard. Well she didn't know what to do next so she turned to the boy, nervously she said, "Hi."
Jenn gasped. He fought the merpeople? Lucky!!! "You fought them! Oh you have to tell me all about it! Oh....I wish I had been able to fight." She sniffed, looking down at the ground. Lucky duck. She could of probably gotten ride of some of the merpeople tood. Sigh.
She laughed. "Oh yeah. Maybe I will....not. I mean, winning this cup two terms in a row is pretty fun, and I plan on winning it again."she grinned. "You'll just have to win it some other way. And yes, I did grow."she informed happily.
Oh. "You did? How come?" They had seemed really close...but apparently looks could be disceving. Were things better at home? "Um.....kinda."she said, shrugging. It actually wasn't, but she wasn't going to say that. Not then. She brightened up though at the new topic. "Oh yes! I can't wait for the classes and the excitement! You?"
And then the compartment opened again. Looking up she smiled as she was given a hug by Lizzie. "Hey Liz! I'm doing...good. You?" she hugged the girl back, a big smile on her face. She hadn't seen Lizzie in ages! Yet, here the girl was. Today, was going pretty good so far.

Brant saw Sarah walk in his department and he waited for her to sit down to say hello but she didnt even look at him, she just read her book. He had to be clever and gain her love again, he muttered a spell and he put his hands behind his back and instantly a single rose filled his empty hands and he leaned over towards Sarah and he said "I'm sorry what happend at the end of last term, I've missed you so much and I've tried to write but I didn't want to make you more angry." he handed her the rose and said again "Will you forgive me?" as he said that he leaned back in his seat waiting for his reply.
Chris smiled brightly as Lizzie had enterned the compartment and he hugged her back. "It's good to see you Lizzie. I'm great, you? How was your summer?" he asked sitting back down to talk to his friends.
Chris smiled as Jenn asked about the merpeople war that he had been part of last term. "Well there were merpeople with spears everywhere attacking us and the Professors. And to make it worse they kept sicking their Grinylows on us! I was bit in the ankle pretty badly, but I healed up ok." he grinned. It hurt like crap though when it happened. "I also was the first person to stun and knock out the King Merperson when we rushed the room he was in!" he said a bit proud of himself.

Penelope got on to the train. This was her first year at Hogwarts and was nervous. She looked around for an empty compartment. As soon as she found one she sat down and opened her book.
While running, Issy often felt as though she was flying or soaring through the air and she had briefly contemplated leaping into the air at Samson, but she decided against it and instead threw her arms around Samson and held herself to him tightly. Her arms wrapped around him and locked for a moment and even as he let go of her, she held on for a moment longer. Just a moment.
Her heart may have squealed when he called her Little Flower. Just a bit. Heeheehee.
And then her hand was in his and she was being lead to a compartment. Happily, she complied and followed him at an almost trot and as a result, once Samson stopped to show her the poster, she nearly bumped into him. Fluffing her skirt, Issy took the poster from Samson and quickly glanced over it. Her eyebrows rose into her fringe.
"Where did you get this?" she asked. "Do you know who was passing these out?"
Her eyes scanned the poster once more and then she looked back at Samson, her face set firmly.
"I want to find whoever is passing these out," she explained, "and my pledge my allegiance to them. Because I full heartedly agree with this. There is no reason we have werewolves on staff. Class XXXXX is dangerous and they kill and have NO human thoughts while transformed. That Hogwarts would even consider keeping Lupa on staff is absurd, and I bet Bontecou is returning. After surviving a werewolf attack like that, he's sure to be a werewolf.
"That just makes me angry! Two werewolves on staff? Are they insane? Do they want to attack? What is the meaning behind such a preposterous action?!"
Was it obvious that Issy was displeased? Tiny hands scrunched up in tiny fists and tremors shook her body. After Lupa's attack, she was fully prepared to never be near another werewolf again.
Samson opened the compartment door for Issy and allowed her to enter first. Then he sat back down in the seat he previously occupied. She looked so pretty in that get-up of hers. He half-smiled.
"Oh, some kid. I don't remember. Didn't pay attention." He waved his hand in dismissal as he said that. Now he had turned to the window, watching the scenery go by, wondering where they were by now, and where Sabrina must be. At the sound of the word 'pledge' however, Samson's attention was abruptly brought back to Issy, and he stared at her with wide eyes. Not like the wide-eyed look of excitement like he had given the boy who had given him the poster, but instead a look of utter disbelief. "What?" He blurted out, just a note higher than his normal voice. "I thought... I thought..." he stuttered for a bit, and then shook his head as though to clear his mind and believe that he just heard the wrong thing from Issy.
He'd never seen Issy so irritated, so displeased, maybe even violated. "You're kidding?" Was his tactless response. "You... don't like... werewolves...?" He leaned forward towards her and cocked an eyebrow.
"Why not? I personally think they'd be a good addition to the staff. Give a little life to the class... er, no pun intended." Life. Heh.
"Why not?" Issy repeated, her voice rising in pitch, a sound of disbelief coloring her words. "You are kidding. Right?"
Wide eyes stared at Samson, imploring. Surely he was joking or messing with her. Surely, Samson, a Ravenclaw, was smart enough to not have such foolish ideals about a werewolf. But he seemed to be looking at her with the same sort of surprise on his face, the same disbelief in his eyes. Even his voice had raised in pitch as hers had. He was! Samson was being absolutely honest about this.
Having not yet sat, Issy stood, poster in hand as she stared down at Samson before her. Was he batty?!
"Give a little life?" the small girl sputtered, face flushed pink with anger. "Perhaps, take away a little life! Do we not recall Lupa attacking and trying to kill the Headmaster?!" was her outburst. "And then she turned and rounded on my friend! And you think this is all jolly and good?!" Honestly, Issy hadn't meant for her voice to rise like this, but Samson was being ludicrous and foolish and absolutely preposterous.
"They are a danger, Samson. Lupa attacked Bontecou with a thirst for BLOOD. To spill and kill, not because oooh lala I'll have a nibble here. This is not an exchange student from Asia or something. This is a class XXXXX monster. Not a human, Samson. No longer is a werewolf a human, but a monster."
Folding her arms over her chest, Issy stared at Samson, wide-eyed, while her body trembled with anger and adrenline. This was... she could not believe... and...
Mostly, it was rather crushing, to realize that Samson could think such a foolish, idiotic idea. That he could find the endangerment of their lives to be so... interesting.
With her white fluffy cat in her arms, the short, blonde Ravenclaw girl peered into random compartments, trying to find her brother or her friend, but it seemed like they were nowhere to be found. Sigh. Where were the two love birds hiding? She took another bite of her chocolate frog, one of the many she had purchased when she was passing by the food trolly, and peered into another compartment.
FINALLY!
If it she hadn't found them in the next ten minutes, Sabrina would have given up and just stalked into a random compatment full of first years. Well, nice first years. Hopefully. Snowball purred in her arms as she slid the compartment door open and stepped in. "Where were the two of you? I looked everywhere!" Then throwing an accusing glare at Samson, she said, "You didn't wait for me! I told you to!" What if she was attacked by werewolves? They had TWO at their school. Not one, but TWO!
Okay, so they weren't exactly on the train. She hoped. Okay, she knew.
Dropping her fluffy white pet off on one of the seats, Sabrina turned around and shut the compartment door.
Samson continued to stare. There was no manifestation of a jest in Issy's eyes, as he saw. "I'm not kidding," he emphasized, trying hard to hide the irritation he felt towards Issy, an alien feeling that he hadn't felt in what seemed like such a long time.
Just like before, like all those years ago, here they were, fighting. Merlin. Why?!
"Well, don't take it out on me. Take it out on the Headmaster. Do we not know who exactly allows the staff to teach? Hm? The Headmster, of course. The very same person attacked by said werewolf. The Headmaster, who considered re-hiring said werewolf who attacked him." He kept his voice as calm as possible, without getting into a tizzy like Issy was right now. He'd never seen her like this, frantically, angrily defending her side. They'd taken sides! Why?! Good grief, he'd never thought they'd ever, ever take sides again, even with something as (seemingly) petty as this. "I didn't say it was jolly and good. You don't see me jumping for joy at the sound of this, do you? But I can't believe... you're so against it. I mean, sure I understand that you may think this is a wrong move because werewolves are known to take lives and stuff like that, yadda yadda, but I for one trust the Headmaster on this. Don't you think he would've had Lupa sent to Azkaban or the Forbidden Forest or somewhere fitting, instead of inside Hogwarts? To teach?" He paused, and slumped back on his seat, glancing only for a second at the empty seat before him, wishing Issy would sit down.
"Surely, someone of higher office would've done something about this by now? Before now? Before we go to school? No, of course not! No one's removed the two werewolves destined to teach us Merlin-knows-what," he reasoned, not tearing his gaze from her, not looking out the window to view the scenery, not bothering to acknowledge the fact that Issy was still standing at the doorway of the compartment, allowing other passers-by to peek in their compartment and comment on the little fuss they were creating.
"Is there anything you can do about it, Issy? Join this silly boy's federation and boycott professors?" Tilting his head to the side, he watched Issy more intently, not more coldly, not more matter-of-factly; just... wondering.
Oh, they could stare forever, and he wouldn't change his mind.
...And Sabrina arrived. Her arrival, though, only caused Samson to break his stare a second longer, before he looked back at Issy.
"Busy," he mumbled simply to Sabrina, and pointed a finger to the seat across him to indicate that she step inside and take a seat.
The REAL Sorting Hat: "Ravenclaw!" This monkey is bananas.

Since Riley was still going to be there and all. But, even with the fun she'd had in Diagon Alley, she had wanted to get here. Just to make sure there was still going to be a Hogwarts.
She had decided against wearing house colors that day, even though she had to admit to herself she owned several blue items of clothing. But she wasn't actually at Hogwarts yet, so she had some leeway. Instead, she was wearing a black shirt over dark gray skinny jeans, tucked into her favorite pair of boots. The dark colors oddly blended with her hair, which was down and wavy, and contrasted with Rochester. Her snowy owl, simply because there was nowhere else for him to be, was perched on her shoulder, surveying the students milling around the corridors regally. As far as he was concerned, as long as nobody collided with his mistress, they could do whatever they liked. Of course, Adrienne wasn't about to let him do anything anyway, but she also knew her owl chose to ignore that fact for now.
She had seen quite a few of the flyers around her, choosing to ignore most of them until, about halfway down the corridor, she had simply needed to rest her arms. Dropping the trunk on the floor with a thump, she turned to scan one of the flyers, which conveniently was stuck to the wall nearby. Not that it wouldn't have been hard to find one anyway, seeing as they were practically covering every square inch of the corridor, including midair. As she reached the end of the message, Adrienne rolled her eyes. "Really? People are actually going to be like this?," she asked incredulously to nobody in particular. She knew the Ministry was aware of the headmaster and Professor Lupa's conditions. If she had heard right, practically all the professors had been called in for interviews about that assembly last term. So if they hadn't seen fit to close Hogwarts, or get rid of the two staff members, she didn't see any reason to be so up in arms. Granted, she was going to be more careful, especially around those two, but that was about it for her precautionary measures. She didn't see reason to be so dramatic.
Ok, so he hadn't exactly planned on sitting near the back, but in all honesty it was the safest place for him right now. all the caios that he knew would happen in the other areas were too distracting for him right now and he needed to concentrate. On what, well Will wasn't sure of as yet, but he could count on one thing; it would be epic. Well, not epic like building the worlds biggest chocolate frog that could tap dance on his whim, but it would be something that everyone would remember. The only problem was he wasn't sure if he should do anything on the Hogwarts Express since it was the only means of transportation into the school. Like seriously how would it be if he had accidentally done something to someone who had then gone to the food trolley lady who then decided to turn him into a flying dung beetle?
Dragging his trunk behind him he peeked into different compartments, seeing some full and others empty of students excited for their next term. He was more than excited, and a bit overwhelmed actually if he were to be honest with himself. He had heard rumors when he had been in Diagon Alley, even seeing some things for himself. Especially that one thing... no he couldn't think of that right now. He had already spent hours crying over that, feeling the loss more than if it were his own beloved toy. The events from the past term still haunted him, the necklace around his neck a constant reminder that he could have been seriously hurt.
But luckily for him; and for everyone the castle had become a somewhat semblance of normalcy and William was looking forward to a new exciting term. His eyes darted over a flyer he saw just lying on the ground. Frowning a bit he picked it up, his eyes scanning the page as his face contorted into one of utter confusion. "Come on..." he muttered, pocketing the flier and looking around for whoever had placed it there. There had been tons of them lying around, looking like stepping stones. If one were to step off them they'd fall onto the carpeted floor.
shrugging once more, William put the flier aside and went on the hunt, finally spotting a girl sitting by herself in a compartment. finally! he thought, a small slight smile appearing on his face as he slowly opened the door, his light blue eyes gentle as he said, "May I join you? Everywhere else is..." is what, too loud, too obnoxious, too rude? "full." he finished instead. As he stood in the threshold of the door and the compartment, he got a good look at the girl, noticing her before an indignant hoot reached his ears. Looking up, his large black owl Zima perched on his shoulder fluttered his wings, looking from her to the owl and back again. Digging into his pocket for an owl treat he fed it to him before smiling, "Sorry."

Anela walked to the back of the train after broading. She was happy that she was able to collect all the items that she needed for the school year. And at last minute too! But anyway, she searched for an empty compartment she could go into without disturbing the other students, especially one's who were with their friends. Smiling at a few people passing her, just as a friendly gesture. She finally found a compartment that was empty and was thankful. She went in quickly and sat down, making herself comfortable. She wouldn't mind if some other people would like to come in.
All Issy could do was stare incredulously at Samson, her eyes flat and deadpan. This was just... incredulous. She could not believe this. That Samson could think this way... she blinked furiously, trying to will the trembling of her body to cease, but anger's adrenaline was pumping strong; she felt it in the temples and rushing through her veins and arteries. He did feel that this was right to do. How could she... how could he...
"You're going to put your faith in the Headmaster who was fool enough to get himself attacked in the first place?" she had begun, before glancing to the door to see Sabrina. How did she always manage to interrupt like that and be so selfish? The reaction was purely part of her anger, but Issy found no initial guilt in thinking that. Sabrina never had been the most observant.
"We've been here," she said, her voice dry of void of any sort of emotion.
Then, annoyance flicking in her eyes, Issy glanced back at Samson, raising her chin defiantly.
"Yes," said her voice, an almost snippy tone coloring it. "Perhaps I will. I'll figure out who the boy is passing this out and I'll join his organization. Maybe I'll even boycott Lupa's classes. You may think this a fickle matter, but you try waking up every few nights from nightmares." Something about her voice had turned unusually cold and darker - a contradiction to her usual chirpy, sweet voice. "Go ahead and put all of your faith in a Headmaster who was stupid enough to get attacked for all of us to see. Have faith in the Professor who tore into our Headmaster in front of us and rounded on a firstie.
"In fact! While you're at it, Samson, why don't we go find a vampire to teach us, too. That's not dangerous at all, is it?" The sarcasm in Issy's voice was thick and scathing. How could he be so STUPID? "I can't believe you'd not be against it." She shook her head, unable to wrap her mind around this, unable to get passed the fact that he was being so stupid.
"They're not fluffy dogs, Samson. A dog who attacks is put down. I'm not saying they should be exiled to the world, but an institution of children who cannot even properly defend themselves is nowhere for a werewolf. You may think they are humans all you want, but they still lose control and give into a primitive, blood thirsty instinct each month. That is a monster, a creature. Rated by the ministry, they are one of the more dangerous creatures and therefore are incompetent to teach. I bet you anything the Ministry is in an uproar."
Right now, she had so much coursing through her; anger, adrenaline, the shaking, the pumping blood. She could run an hour at this rate. And right now, she kind of wanted to do that. To get away and run it all off until she was too weary to care, because the idea of she and Samson fighting once more made her want to cry just as much as the intense emotion that built within her did. How could she love someone who so clearly was blind to safety measures? The very idea made her stomach twist and churn.
Oh.

Ton's of homework, right.. she said and shook her head with a little smile. I'm actually, strangely, looking forward to homework. She seemed surprised by the words and shudded. Guess that means we have a chance at the cup this year...

Digging into his pocket for an owl treat he fed it to him before smiling, "Sorry."
After a few more minutes of standing there staring at the flier stuck to the wall incredulously, Adrienne finally realized she might be creating a bit of a traffic hazard standing ther with her trunk haphazardly lying in the corridor. So, picking up one of the handles again, and making sure she still had a good grip on the basket containing Christian, Tory and Dolce, not to mention that her owl was still perched on her shoulder, she continued down the corridor searching for a compartment. At least she could deposit everything, even if she didn't stay in the compartment for long since she still hadn't found Chloe yet.
After passing several full compartments, or at least they were full enough she wasn't about to bother to ask if she and her menagerie could join them, she finally found a compartment that was empty. That surprised her, since an empty compartment after the train had already started moving was usually few and far between, but she took the miracle at face value. It was there, so she was taking it. Dragging her trunk inside, she left it on the floor, although she tried to push it as much out of the way as she could. She wasn't crazy enough to try and lift it into the rack while wearing her boots. Adrienne and broken heels did not go together. Placing the basket carefully on one of the seats, she let Rochester fly off her shoulder to perch on the back of another seat as she then collapsed onto the seat next to her pygmy puffs. If that flier out there had anything to say about things, it seemed the term was going to be quite eventful. But then, it seemed Hogwarts terms never went by without some sort of drama.
Leaning her head back on the seat, she closed her eyes for a second as she tried to clear her mind of everything since it was usually when she was distracted that she slipped up with her ability, then reopened them as she decided to let the softly humming furballs out of their carrier for a while. She knew Rochester wouldn't do anything. Seconds after lifting them out to place them on the seat, she turned as the door to the compartment opened, blue eyes taking in the appearance of a younger boy with an owl. Smiling as he spoke, she gestured for him to come in. "Sure. I totally agree with you, anyway. Pretty much all the other compartments I saw were full too." And she certainly wasn't about to stay in the corridor with all the fliers. And then hi sowl hooted, and she glanced upward at it for a second. What was that about?, she wondered, hoping her new pets were still going to be okay. It wasn't like their bright colors blended in with the upholstery or anything. But then the boy simply gave his owl an owl treat, apologizing to her, and she returned her gaze to him. "It's fine. I mean, as long as your owl doesn't have a taste for pygmy puffs or anything," she said, laughing a little as she tried to relax again. "Adrienne Mercer, sixth year Ravenclaw," she said then, introducing herself. She thought she recognized him as a fellow Ravie, but it wasn't like she had gotten around a lot during previous terms. She probably knew more Hufflepuffs, through Chloe and otherwise, than she knew her housemates. Other than Mariel, and she hadn't really met the younger girl before this summer.

Sabrina glanced between Issy and Samson as they barely (and coldly) acknowledged her then continued on with their argument. Oops. It might have been pleasanter if she had just gone ahead and walked into a random compartment full of first years. She didn’t want to get caught between any couple fights here (were they even a couple?). It was safer to just walk away. Maybe it wasn’t too late? She could sneak off and find a – Oh. Samson wanted her to take a seat. Well, she didn’t have to listen to him. Besides, Issy was scaring her. She could just stalk out an-
Were they arguing over the werewolf condition at Hogwarts?
“But they are exiled to the world, Issy.” Sabrina said before she could stop herself. She knew her interruption would probably irritate Issy and Samson, but really, it came out before she would stop herself.
Boy, she really should have just found a first year compartment.
“… and the more we push them away, the more they’ll resent us.” She went on. It would be a very good idea if she just stopped talking right now. Seriously, it would. “And then they will attack us eventually. They are still humans, Issy.” Now that she had started talking, might as well make her point. “They think and feel like we do. They just have … a little condition. Like a genetic disorder.” Only, it’s not genetic, of course.
In the end, it probably would have been better to keep her mouth shut.
Samson could feel the anger and irritation well up inside of him, bubbling in his blood, threatening to overflow and spill out like lava. His breathing had most evidently become shallower as he listened to Issy's preposterous speech. He simply couldn't believe what he was hearing! He was narrowing his eyes and shaking his head in disbelief so much that it might have been a twitch, an involuntary action that was hard to control.
"What're you gonna do about it, Issy? Huh?!" He was on the edge of his seat now, ready to stand up, to tower over her like he usually did. But he didn't want to do that. He didn't want to scare or hurt her. At least he still had a good enough sense of mind to know that he did not want to blow his top on Issy. That would be risking too much. Still, he couldn't help but oppose her. "I know you don't like it, and I know it could be dangerous. If Sabrina or you were in a scuffle with a werewolf, I'd feel the worst kind of grief on the planet, I'd probably go mad of depression," and it was true. "But what are you going to do? Send the Ministry a letter? Oh, by all means. Join the probable hundred thousand parents still sending their kids to school despite their knowledge of werewolves around. Why didn't they do anything about it? Huh? Why are their children still here?
"In fact, Issy," he was seething now, and whatever restraint he had before this was slowly wearing thin. "Why are you still here? I'd think you'd have gone off with that boy by now, recruiting people to go up against the werewolves even when there's nothing we can do about it since they're already teaching anyway! Are the other staff complaining? Hmm? We'll see, when we get to Hogwarts, where the werewolves are already there. Is the Ministry doing anything about it? I don't see any action being taken, do you? And by golly, if you wanna skip their classes, by all means be my guest!"
Sam heaved a long, shuddering breath, and closed his eyes before slowly moving back on the seat. He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair. For a moment he didn't say anything, and allowed Sabrina to interrupt. He didn't like it, but he felt too drained to want to argue with her at the moment. Besides, some shallow part of him liked the fact that she was taking his side for once.
Opening his eyes, he looked back at Issy, his stare dark and angry, but at the same time it was imploring, apologetic, even. "I say deal with it."
Issy couldn't do this. She always became so angry at him. How was it so possible for him to fight so passionately with him when she otherwise felt so passionately right? Inside her chest, her heart felt to crumble a little and she tightened her arms around herself, whether to stop the shaking or keep the pieces together, she was uncertain. What she was certain of, though, was that Samson was a fool. And Sabrina was a fool, too. But Samson the biggest. He was always so mean when they fought and she could never bring herself to be terrible back, even though her chest swelled with anger and a terrible pain and a build up of words and names she refused to speak.
He always pushed her away.
Even over a fight like this, he would push her away. Issy found herself tearing her eyes away so that Samson wouldn't see the tears building at her lash line. Just a few days ago... so right, so perfect. But whenever they fought, he did this. Every time, Samson pushed her away. Did he really prefer not to work at things?
He even acted as though they were nothing anyone could do about the werewolves. Narrowing her eyes at the passing scenery, Issy shook her head in a furious manner of force, sending locks of brown hair flying about. So passive... she always had been the one with initiative; few times did Samson take a lead. Heart and stomach heavy, Issy felt her insides curl. If he would never take action... to work through, to fix something, to try to make a difference... The tears were warm as they slid down her cheek.
Willow always believed it was a love potion. That Issy's feelings for Samson were absurd and unreal. And, maybe it wasn't a love potion, but maybe... maybe Willow was on to something. How could Issy love him? She did and she loved him deeply, but she couldn't understand it or explain it and looking at this... What good were they if Samson wanted to roll over and let lie, or push her away when he became angry?
Though she felt ashamed doing so, Issy sniffled and turned around. Without speaking, she picked up the bag that she'd brought in with her and hitched it over her shoulder.
"Fine, Samson," she said, speaking to the wall opposite them, hating herself for the crack in the voice. "You can continue to push me away, because clearly at school, we're different, and clearly, it must be your way or no way. If you want to be an irrational prat, have it your way. Are you happy, Samson? I'm leaving."
And with a cracking heart, Issy hurried out of the room, sliding the door shut loudly after her, before the first gasping sob came out. She would much prefer to do that in private, but seeing as privacy was limited, she would have to settle for her hands and knees on the floor where he could at least not hear her.
For Jess, Chris and Lisa! Gah! I've missed so much! XD
Song began to sink lower in her seat, her dark eyes observing the people before her, who obviously knew each other very well, otherwise they wouldn't be gabbering on like this. First there had been the Ravenclaw girl, one she'd met briefly in Diagon Alley when Quinto had taken a liking to her and disturbed her moping, which seemed to have disappeared, now replaced by a bubbly, slightly sarcastic, attitude. Her name was Jenn Blood, well, that's how she'd introduced herself, and she was a Ravenclaw in the same year as her.
Then there was the prefect, from the same house as herself, which she supposed was a plus point. And he seemed nice enough. Plus the fact that he shared the same last name as the famous Harry Potter which probably meant they were related somewhere down the line. She couldn't deny that she found that throroughly interesting. But before she could even say hello to these two students, another one walked in, this one from Gryffindor as well. She didn't know the name of this one; Song had stopped listening after a while and had taken to staring lazily out of the window as Quinto restrained himself from covering the two Gryffindors and Ravenclaw in a welcome full of sand-papery licks and ground-breaking purrs.
She smiled slightly as homework was mentioned. She couldn't wait for the homework too. Maybe this other female Gryffindor had more incommon with her than she thought. Or maybe she was just delirious. She heard travelling could do that to people.
Then, suddenly, as if a gunshot had been fired, Quinto leapt from his seat, scampering across the floor, his amber eyes full of a wish to play. Song should have remembered: he didn't like long journies. Embarassment crept into her already nervous stomach as the young, midnight black kitten pawed Chris' foot and then rubbed against Jenn's leg. She highly wished that she was anywhere but here right now, and felt the heat rising to her cheeks. "His name's Quinto," she said, surprising herself. "He's a little on the... excitable side," She smiled sheepishly, as her kitten continued to roll around on the floor. She couldn't help but think that maybe he was trying to impress the other cats, who were sat peacefully either side of Jenn.

Sometimes, Sabrina really could not believe Samson. And this was one of those times. To be perfectly honest, both of them were scaring her, but she couldn’t help but want to kick that boy. Really hard. He deserved it, for that last bit. Sabrina would have probably just retorted back (she lived with that guy after all), but she could see how it had hurt Issy.
The blonde watched as her friend walked out of the compartment and then stared at Samson for a few moments. At first she thought she should go after Issy, but she doubted her friend wanted to see her right then.
How did it turn out like this? This wasn’t how Sabrina had imagined her last trip to Hogwarts on the train would be. She had imagined they’d all sit in a compartment together and have fun. Laugh and chatter about pointless topics. Samson would probably tease her like he usually did. They’d recollect the fun times at Hogwarts. But here they were, arguing over werewolves.
“That was … not nice, Samson.” She finally said, taking a seat in front of him. She probably shouldn’t be talking, because he’d retort back and say something to hurt her too. “I think you should go after her.” That’s right. She wasn’t the one who needed to run after Issy. He did. He probably wouldn’t listen to Sabrina, please, he rarely ever did. “I don’t know what happened before I came in, but … that was not nice.”
Almost immediately, Samson could feel the remorse and regret bubbling up inside of him. He didn't look away from Issy immediately after he spoke, and how he wished he did. He hated seeing her so broken and seemingly so defeated. Did his words really have that big a significance to her? Was she so determined to defend her side, that she hated the fact that he was the one opposing her so passionately?
Well, he couldn't help it! At least he didn't rile up on her and ask her to leave. She left on her own.
And when she did, when she slammed that door behind him and disappeared, Samson could no longer hold it in. He let out a muffled shout of frustration under his hands, which he now had used to cover his face. His hands curled up slightly, meaning to scratch his face, and then he slid them off slowly, in an utterly frustrated manner. Since when had he decided to hurt Issy like that again? Oh, right. He'd been doing in unmeaningly since... forever. But now, now! He was well aware of what he was doing (well, kind of, partly, sort of...), and it hurt. It hurt him more than it seemed to hurt Issy. He really had not expected this, especially since he always thought she was always on his side. Or was he the one who wanted to see that, and was it he who never took Issy's side? Merlin, this was hard.
On the other side of it all, however, Samson could almost feel that he was right and she was wrong. It was just like how he always felt all those years ago. He felt that right now. He knew in his mind that his stand was correct, and that Issy was being unreasonable, bratty, even. She was being immature and melodramatic and she always saw him as the bad guy even when he had intentions she'd never even known. Why did she always want to know everything? She always thought she new everything, but she never really knew. She never understood, because she always misinterpreted it. She always wanted things her way! Ugh... He shook his head and blinked several times. Those were BAD thoughts. He knew better. But he still felt he was right. And yet, where did that feeling get him? In the end, he was always wrong, anyway.
He groaned. "What just happened?" He asked, as he stared blankly at his hands. He was aware that Sabrina was there, for he had just heard her speak, but didn't really take in what she had just said. All he remembered was 'not nice'. Oh, he knew. He knew what he did was not nice, but what she did wasn't nice either! She never...
...Okay, Samson. Enough.
He heaved another heavy sigh, and looked up at Sabrina with tired, defeated, agonized eyes. He'd never looked at anyone that way. Heck, he'd never even seen himself that way for all he knew, but he felt it.
"I... think I'm going for a walk..."
And with that, he left the compartment, hands shoved deep in his pockets, and eyes to the floor. He didn't know where he was going. He was just going to walk...
Emma wanted to sit down. She was looking for an empty compartment so long time.. Almost all compartments were only half-full, but Emma didn´t want to go there. Because she was Muggle-born, she was afraid that other kids from wizard families would talk about Quiditch and other things, which she didn´t know.
Emma saw an empty one at last.. Wait, there was one girl. But it didn´t matter, the girl looked nicely. She took her suitcase and walked in.
"Hi, I´m Emma," she said, smiled and craned forward for a handshake with the stranger.
Some how Rhea sensed that the girl wasn't in the best of moods, or was there a strain between them, she couldn't put her finger on it, at leats not right away. She nodded slightly when the girl answered.
She took her eyes off the girl to stare outside the window..her breath fogging the glass slightly. The suddenly it hit her...Irial..the courtyard.....the girl....she whipped around to look at her eyebrows raised slightly.
Who would have guessed that one year later they would meet again under such circumstances. Rhea cleared her throat.
"I think I know where we met, though I must confess it was not the most pleasant of meetings. It was last year in the Courtyard.....I believe I might have walked in on a conversation between you and Irial and you didn't take well to that." She cleared her throat again and looked at the girl.
Rhea's gaze, shifted from the girl in the compartment to another girl who had walked in....
"I don't mind if you join us..come right in.." she looked at the girl sitting across from her wondering if she would mind an additional person in their compartment.

His name is Pharaoh." suddenly she realized that she was just talking away a bad nervous habit she had when she meet new people. Shut it! stop talking! she thought to herself. Quickly moving her cat to her lap she sat in the place her cat once occupied.

"I'm Rhea, fifth year HufflePuff." She extended her hand to the girl for a handshake. A bit formal but oh well.

Are the houses competitive amongst one another?" Suddenly Adelaide remembered reading in Hogwarts: A History that the houses Slytherin and Griffindor were most competitive. She hoped that the girl to her left , she was not certain that she said her name, was not a Griffindor as she may be insulted.
Nancy resumed to glance at the other girl out of the corner of her eyes, searching for some kind of recognizable feature on her which would help her rembember exactly where they had met before.Withut much success, however. As the girl - she still didn't know her name - turned her head slightly to move her gaze out of the window Nancy shifted slightly in her seat until she had reached a comfortable position which would help her think. Something about a courtyard...
Then all of a sudden she felt the girl's eyes resting on her again, and when she quickly jerked her head into her direction she found herself gazing right into the girl's eyes. The way her eyebrows were risen resulted in Nancy's forehead to crease into a slight frown. What was this about? Trying hard to search for answert to that question in the girl's eyes the 15 year old just stared intently into them as if somehow she could see letters and words forming sentences in them. Which, of course, she couldn't.
Maybe she should inquire this Aparecium parchment for an answer as now she did have one again after her last one had gotten destroyed by the flood in the Common Room. Yay! She thought sarcastically, as somehow she would have chosen not to read the last few entries from last term. Although, then she would never have found out about it. Talking of which, where was Steven?!
The way the girl spoke up again pulled her out of that train of thought again, making her once again stare at the girl curiously. Irial?! Oh right, that Gryffindor boy. The one Steven had talked about. Right. It was then that the memory washed through her quite vividly. The Courtyard....her talking to Irial...then this girl - the one now sharing her compartment - rudely interrupting their conversation. Okay, she couldn't remember if the girl had rudely interrupted them but some part of her told her she had. Period.
"Riiight..." Was all she could and wanted to say at the moment because luckily for her right at that moment a girl who looked about their age entered their compartment asking if she could sit with them. "Of course." Nancy muttered barely audible with a small smile for the girl while gesturing towards one of the empty seats. "No, I don't mind Pharao. In fact I do have a cat as well. I...uhm...left him at home, though, this term." She didn't go into detail on that one on purpose, as she did not want to go over the whole thing again. Next term she would buy something else at Diagon Alley.
Trying to get her mind off things - like the whole Irial/Courtyard/Rhea incident and above all the Steven/Anna thingy - Nancy forced a smile onto her lips which she directed at the new girl, Adelaide. "Nice to meet you. I'm Nancy. I'm a Fifth year too." She simply gave her a half-hearted wave, though, no outstretched hand as she certainly did not feel like it at the moment. Her attention was then caught by the girl mentioning probably being sorted into Slytherin. "That would be nice, Adelaide. I'm in Slytherin as well." Maybe they would see each other in the Common Room again. "Oh, where was your former school?" She inquired while leaning back once again in her seat, her blue eyes resting on Adelaide curiously.
There was too much commotion in the middle of the train. Nathaniel decided to wander to the back of the train in the hopes of finding it some what quieter. He knew that Sammi would find him eventually. Maybe along the way she'd make some new friends. While making his way through the corridor he spotted Mariel. With her friends. He'd pass on that one. He wanted to give her the gifts he'd bought her when the firing squad wouldn't be around. The only compartment he could find was across from hers. Great. He slipped into the compartment hoping to not be seen by them. Well, at least it was not as noisy in this section of the train. He set his bag down on the floor near the window and sunk into the seat.
After watching her trunks being carefully loaded into the train, she turned to her mothers friend. Mr. Willows wasn't the warmest and friendly man, in fact he was quite cold towards children. Sammi thought she could fix that, with her bright smile and her friendly attitude, but alas it didn't work.
She gave him a leaping hug, to his surprise, and said a simple 'Thank you'.
Jumped down she ran to the train, excited to see Nate again.
The train was huge, in Sammi's eyes. She skipped down the hallways of the train, checking every compartment for Nate. Mr. Fluffypant's was in her arms, hooting slightly at her hyperactive movement.
As she approached the back of the train, she almost missed Nate's compartment. "NAAATE!" She squealed and lept into his lap. She made sure Mr. Fluffypants was put down before leaping. "HI HI HI HIIII!!! Ohh I cannot wait to get to Hogwarts! I wonder where the sweets trolly is?! Oh did you know Mr. Willows came with me to the train! He is a cold and mean man on the outside, but I think it just because he has never been loved! He is a nice guy inside! I know it! Maybe I can help him become nice! He even gave me a going away pressie! A giant bag of mouth changing lollipops! He said these would never run out until the end of the school year! He charmed it to be never ending, no matter how many I eat!"
Sammi showed Nate the small bag. She grinned and took a deep breath. "how are you!? did you miss me?! I missed you! Where is this Mariel lady!"
She dove into the bag and picked out two lollipops. Espresso for her and a blueberry for Nate.
Walking down the hallway of the train Reid's eyes quickly scanned around, trying to see if he could spot anyone that he knew and hoping that he didn't. He was exhausted and not in the mood to deal with people. He was also confused and letting his emotions spill into his eyes.
Sighing he finally found an empty compartment and slipped silently inside before closing the door. Slumping down onto a seat Reid's shoulders sagged and he let his head rest on his chest. He looked utterly defeated. He just hoped that Rachel would still want to be with him. He had a feeling that this summer hadn't been what she was expecting. To add to that she'd found out that he was unofficially engaged to another woman. He really wasn't sure how it would turn out.
Sighing his thoughts flew to the conversation he'd had with his father where he had been given the ultimatum that was tearing him apart. Break up with Rachel or never contact your mother and I again. He knew what he'd do, he'd stay with Rachel of course. Reid had enough money and fame to not need his parents but at the same time to know that according to his father he'd never be welcome at home again hurt his heart more than he thought possible. Of course this was all dependant on Rachel still wanting to be with him. If not then there would be no problem between his parents and him because they knew that if Rachel rejected him he'd go along with their plans and marry Sienna.
