There's plenty of seating at the back of the train. Grab a compartment with your friends, it's time to head back to school!

It would be very difficult not to notice them unless you were blind to parchment or couldn't read.
He stuck one last parchment onto the last remaining empty pane of glass, satisfied with his distribution. Reaching into his backpack, he removed another bundle of fliers, this time they were different from the ones he had been splattering about the back of the train. Instead of sticking these new ones up, he moved himself into the middle carriages of the train.
Bianca strolled onto the train, peering into comparments as she went. It had been a bust at Diagon Alley. She had met one person. And she wondered if he was on the train. Obviously, he would be, but where?
Continuing down the hall to the back of the train, she attempted to squeeze past a couple of people, blocking the way. Sucking in her next to no stomach, so there wasn't any point, she squeezed past. Then SMACK. Bianca got her foot caught on somebody elses, and fell flat to the ground, arms flailing. EEEEP. Embarrasment number, uh, fifty? Seeing her hand bag flown across the floor she moved towards it, picking up the contents, and placing them neatly in her bag, alphabetically.

Huh.
Thankful for the distraction that was Woodson Whitcomb kissing Celandine Toussaint's hand and Evolette introducing herself to the boys, Willow took a deep breath and stared out the window with a little smile.
Seconds before Evolette became upset for The Devil's lack of manners ...
... Five, four, three ...
Evolette's attention was now on Willow once again, and once again, she was pouting. "Oh Willow." She sighed, crossing her legs as she pouted some more. "If only it were that easy."

Sebastian Whitcomb was clearly not the best conversationalist in the world. Daphne Hopton wasn't about to judge him (too badly) in any case. She, herself, could be completely insufferable when she wanted to be.
"Home schooled?" repeated the blond looking away from Sebastian towards Woodson. "Where did you live? That's--"
Interesting, is what she wanted to say but a cry from outside the compartment made her stop mid-sentence. "Excuse me," she said quickly and stood up, opening the compartment door to see a hooded figure on the ground---with a purse attached to his arm...and a girl attached to the purse. "What's going on here?" she asked loudly, stepping out of the compartment and leaving the door open.
That purse--looked familiar. "Hey! That's Celly's!"

And she certainly didn't want the boy to get into trouble. Oh, darn. what could she say? But before Lucy could even think about what to say, the girl had already identified the owner of purse. Celly? " .. and you will call me Sebastian."
Cela straightened in her seat and then slowly leaned across Daphne to draw her little finger across Seb's cheek. "You should enunciate your words a little better." She told him with genuine sweetness, followed immediately by a wicked grin. "... Seb."
What?
It was totally fitting.
"So, Seb, what are your favourite subjects? I totally dig Divination and Charms and Transfiguration. Also I'm totally a quick draw with my wand and last term I totally won duels against the head boy and the head girl." And here Cela shot a plotting and planning look at Evolette.
"I am kind of good at everything though. A bit average at potions and astronomy. Phoebus said he'd tutor Daph and I in potions though. So are you any good at astronomy? OHMYMERLIN! you can totally join our study group! Awesome!" Celandine high fived herself for thinking of it.

Curious.
His attentions though, returned to Miss Celandine when he felt her tugging her hand away. And Sebastian... Oh goodness, Sebastian was offering him hand santizer? He could sense his twin was uncomfortable, but really, was this necessary? Miss Daphne had even been nice and offered him to sit despite his earlier words.
It was Miss Celandine's turn to get an apologetic smile this time, and teeth ground together, Woodson pointedly ignored his brother.
"We were previously home-tutored. It got a bit ... boring, you know. So here we are." That was a lie but oh well.
"Boring? Mmm you know, I totally narrowly escaped being kept home this term, on account of something a tiny bit scandalous, so you and Seb here are like, totally lucky! Because here I am!" Cela spread her arms wide and struck a pose.
Possibly expecting applause?
Or possibly showing that she'd spent far FAR too much time around Lyra and Evolette.

Willow had, undoubtedly, grown distracted; the absent expression that had crept on her pale face, as she stared out the window, could easily told anyone that much.
It was easy to tell that she was completely oblivious to her surroundings
Momentarily taken out of her reverie at the sound of Evolette's voice, the brunette tore her green eyes from the window and shifted them to her best friend. "It's not that complicated, you know," Pointed out the Ravenclaw captain, with a dainty shrug of her small shoulders, "You just have to make sure that when your hand connects with someone else, you do it with strength." She would know - Willow had practiced that with her siblings whenever they bothered her, for the last seventeen years. "I would gladly show you right now, but regrettably, there's no one here I'd like to hit."
This was, of course a lie, as Kovac would not mind one bit to hit Sebastian Whitcomb full in the face. However, even if Evolette was her best friend, she was still head girl and physically attacking someone could get her in trouble.
Ah, well.
She could always aim a bludger at the boy during Quidditch matches and claim it was an accident. Quidditch was full of those.

The girl was a nervous mess and Daphne watched her warily, one brow raised. Whoever she was, it was clear that both of them had worked together on--whatever it is they did to get a hold of Celandine's purse. "Look, Celandine had that purse a while ago so it was most likely she dropped it," informed the blond with a wrinkled brow more worried about the boy's well being and possibly the girl's nervous and emotional state than Celandine's purse. "It's fine since you're giving it back. You weren't planning on keeping it were you?"
Taking the purse from the girl's hand, Daphne looked over shoulder towards the inside of the compartment, where she could sort of overhear her best friend going on and on.

He didn't want that.
"No, we weren't going to keep it. Never. We um...yeah. No." Lucy said, quickly before anyone else could say anything. Whew. They were safe. No harm done. Lucy was sure they'd be dead meat and all because of this...this thief! Gawsh...she still wondered what motivated him to steal a purse. A GIRL'S PURSE. Really? Why? She looked over at him, glaring at him for only a second, and then moving back into her much more sympathetic expression. And then...she smack his arm.
"YOU IDIOT!! Why the heck did you steal that girl's purse? Do you realize you could have been in trouble? You could have gotten ME in trouble?" Lucy stopped to look at him, waiting for a response. But then, she decided she didn't want to hear one from him, and smacked him again on the arm. "If you're gonna steal, be careful. And...what am I saying? DON'T EVER STEAL!! It's bad, don't you know that?" she said. She barely even knew the kid and yet she was already looking out for him. It seemed as if every person she had met so far was one whom she felt worthy of looking out for. Must be a strange new characteristic of hers.
Chris nodded slowly as Lizzie told him of her troubles at home. He was sad for her that her parents had gotten divorced. He couldn't even imagine what she was going through. He smiled sadly and put his arm around her in a one armed hug and said, "It'll be aright Lizzie. We can cheer you up some. You will be away from all of that for awhile. Maybe the situation will get better after some time." he said encouragingly.
Yeah Lizzie said with a little smile. I'm kinda fine though. Not that upset about the whole divorce thing.. I mean, the hard thing was watching them fight all the time. She shook her head and hugged him back. It's a good thing I have all of you guys. Hogwarts is gonna be more of a home than ever before this year.

He asked, his eyes focusing once more on her. he had heard that name before, probably from his mother or from Lyra the previous term when she went off on one of her spiels about clothing. "I have a purple one but I haven't name him yet." he added putting his hand in his pocket that wasn't holding Goldie and taking out a purple fluff ball which moved slightly.
Zima hooted softly nodding his head a bit in her direction before casting a weary eye at the other owl. William knew Zima would never hurt another being, human or animal so he wasn't too worried. "That's okay, no harm done." he replied getting more comfortable on the seat, leaning against the window and looking out for a moment. The weather outside looked normal, the shun shining behind a few fluffy clouds. It was almost surreal looking in a way and he wondered for a moment how Hogwarts would look when they got there. It was than he heard her comment and he looked away from the window and nodded, "Yes, she won't bite though; wanna see her?" he asked.
Tapping his foot on the floor, Zima decided to curl his head under his wing and sleep, much to Will's bewilderment. normally he stood guard, watching over everything around him to make sure nothing happens. Perhaps the excitement of the past few weeks had finally overcome him and he needed rest. Either way Will didn't have to worry about him for awhile. He nodded, a look of sadness overcoming his face as he remembered, "I was in the leaky cauldron when it happened. I didn't see who it was though, ut I did see a bright burst of green light then heard a thump." he explained, shuddering. Just the thought that someone would so gregariously use the AK curse was enough to frighten him.
"I don't know who died if anyone though; I left right after it happened. The Aurors were swarming the place though after." he finished, looking away. It seemed like trouble usually followed William around. His hand closed around the phial necklace he held, now holding the potion that it held before. That was one adventure he'd soon forget. That, and the pink fairy.
Adrienne grinned. "You don't want to know how weird my experience getting them was," she said as William agreed that the pygmy puffs were cute. She still was quite entertained by the memory of that shopkeeper and his feigned interest in her shoes. Which was really one reason she wished she'd been able to really talk to Chloe, so she could tell her the story. But then, as she came back from her tiny mental tangent to hear his question, she blinked. "You're familiar with Dolce and Gabbana?," she asked, the faintest hint of incredulosity in her voice. "I mean, yes. It is. Actually, I gave her the name because I own a purple pair of Dolce and Gabbana heels," she explained, still a little bit shocked that the third year boy knew designers. Or, at least those two. But as he spoke about his own pygmy puff, she let her surprise fade a little as he withdrew another purple pygmy puff from his pocket. "Well, he needs a name," she said, feeling sympathy for the poor little nameless ball of fluff. "What comes to mind when you think about him?" Maybe she could help.
She smiled again as his owl actually seemed to react to her greeting in his own way, reaching into her purse for an owl treat to appease Rochester as she felt him shift on the back of her seat. "That's true," she said as William replied to her apology for her owl's mood. "I felt like I needed to say something anyway." Then he had lapsed into silence, and she started petting Dolce idly as she wondered if she had said something weird or something. She didn't think she had, but it wasn't like she was really well-versed in how to talk to younger boys. But at least her comment about his tarantula seemed to bring him back. "Sure," she said as he asked if she wanted to see the tarantula. Just because she hadn't ever seen one before, and she had the faint idea that most people would expect her to completely spaz out if confronted by a big furry spider, didn't mean she wasn't going to gain the experience. Besides, then she could taunt Riley since she was fairly certain her brother wasn't one to have seen too many tarantulas either. Ha.
As William's owl chose to go to sleep, and the tone of the conversation changed radically when Diagon Alley was brought up, Adrienne bit her lip before picking Dolce up again. "Someone died? That way?" Someone had used an Unforgiveable in the Leaky, and nobody had stopped all the students from running around? She was almost glad she hadn't known about that, since that would have made the last few days that much scarier if she had. Even though she knew she was nowhere near incapable when it came to magic, nobody could fight against that curse. And now she also had the curiosity about who had actually been hit. As William looked away uncomfortably, she felt her owl hop from the back of her set to her shoulder and took a hand away from the pygmy puff in her lap to stroke his feathers for a second. They needed to get onto a different topic, before the mood in the compartment got too depressed to stand.
Thinking fast, she spoke again. "So, what do you think is going to happen this term? Are you looking forward to anything?" Okay, and that was probably the lamest thing she could come up with, but at least she'd tried. No one else had shown up to help, so it was up to her.

Mina was still doing absolutely nothing when she spotted a very familiar face wander up the corridor in her direction. Sighing, she adjusted her grip on the backpack slung over her shoulder as she strode forward, wrapping her hand around Xylina's arm and tugging her gently into a random, empty compartment.
'Guess you did show in the end,' she muttered, mostly to herself, with one of her rare grins as she observed the younger girl. 'Haven't seen you for a while, Xylina.' She dropped into a seat, gesturing for her cousin to take the one opposite her (but when did Xylina ever do what she suggested?) And not only that, but right now, English was hard to string together.
Perfect match. 'How're the others?' she asked, sticking to the basics (and getting straight to the point - she did care about them, no matter how much she tried to pretend otherwise). Not only that, but this conversation, like most with either of the twins, would be short.
One hoped.
And there it was. Proof to her thoughts. Xy remained wisely silent as the same fourth year she'd tried to avoid managed to tug her into an empty compartment. But she was gentle, an improvement. She just prayed that more improvements (like losing the attitude) would follow.
'Hi,' she said bluntly, dropping into the corner and moving so her legs were swung up on the seats and her head resting against the window. 'How was your home? Better than mine?' Oh yes, bitterness laced her voice, a first for the overly hyper Ravenclaw.
'They're fine. Si's still constantly crying, but he's starting to learn, and us girls couldn't be better, really.'Unless you count what we heard. She stared at Mina, trying to see whether she could note any differences from the last time she'd seen the girl.
Not that she wanted to see any, even if there were.

Smirking, Blake studied Jake's face, hmm he's cute, "On second thought, that boy is more cute looking and surprisingly, he's not in Slytherin. I can't tell you the house but you don't care, do you?" He said, looking back and forth between Shana and Jake. If Jake didn't like Shana the way she did, so why was he curious to know about the boy. Blake had this strong urge to ask Jake to look in the mirror if he wanted the answer but he didn't want to die before setting his foot on Hogwart's grounds.
"Youcch, it hurts." He eyed her but couldn't suppress a grin, that's it, she just confirmed it that she liked Jake, no doubts whatsoever. Placing his legs on the seat in front of him, Blake patted Shana's shoulder, "I feel your agony. And yeah, lets just drop this topic." He stuck his tongue out at her, hoping Jake wouldn't ask anymore questions about himself.
Glancing quickly over at Shana again and feeling very confused, Jake ran a hand through his hair. "Is it possible to like a bajillion people at one time?" he asked, blinking quickly. His hair was now sticking out on one side and with his confused face he probably looked quite comical.
Bleh.
"Okayyyyy..." he nodded, kicking his feet back and forth. "So what we gonna talk about?"

Mariel gave Daisy a warm smile as she sat down and offered her a Lemondrop from the box she had again pulled from her pocket. Time for the nearly 15 year old to have another one as well and she helped herself to her favorite sweet. The Ravenclaw looked curiously back at Sarah as she then explained her previous, and unheard to Mariel, words. Oh, she had one of those posters that Mariel had seen earlier. Shaking her head sadly, she told both girls as they discussed the incident, "It may have been an accident, but that's too much of a risk to take. It's really dangerous to have werewolves around. I mean, I think that's pretty obvious now, seeing what happened last term." She looked over at Daisy when she said she hadn't been there. "I was there," she said softly. "It was really scary. And if Professor Bontecou hadn't stepped in..." she shuddered at the thought. "Professor Lupa had been dangerously close to attacking a group of first years. What if she had bitten one of them? Or one of us?" Mariel knew most of her friends had been in attendance. "I heard Professor Bontecou barely survived. Someone younger might have been killed."
Mariel suddenly stopped as she noticed Sarah's eyes continually darting out the window. She stared at her for a moment, then turned her head in the same direction to try to see what was so interesting. "Sarah, what are you--" she started, then Sarah excused herself and left. Staring after her for a moment, she looked at Daisy and shrugged. Maybe she saw her boyfriend. Which strangely reminded her of the canary creams stowed in her trunk that she had bought earlier that summer. Screwing up her face slightly as she wondered why that particular thought came into her mind, she shook her head slightly and pulled out her pink lip gloss.
She had just started to apply it to her lips in the small mirror she had pulled from her other pocket, when she heard the door open again. Quickly shoving both items in her pocket, she looked up fully expecting to see Sarah and Ryder - not that she knew what Ryder looked like. At first a little surprised as the newcomers entered - since when did Sarah and Nathaniel get along well enough to invite one over to the other's compartment? - Mariel resumed her cheerful smile as she greeted them. "Hi Nathaniel... and Sammi. Hello," she smiled back at the younger girl as she sat down next to her. So this was Nathaniel's little sister. "I hear you want to be in Ravenclaw... Good choice," she added with a grin. Who wouldn't want to be a Ravenclaw?
"Hi Mariel! Nice to meet you!" Sammi smiled brightly at the older girl. She hoped that people wouldn't think she was a strange child, because the constant smile that was plastered on her face. "I would love to be in Ravenclaw! Nate wants me to be a Gryffie. But blue is my favorite color!" Although smiling, she noticed the slight awkwardness of Nate and Mariel's conversation. Deciding to shutup, Sammi turned to the window and stuck her face to it, ready to watch the passing scenery.

Hearing Josh mention the food trolley, her stomach made a loud grumble in protest from not eating all day. Her eyes widened and hoped he didn't hear that. "Hmm, I'm not so hungry," she poorly lied, "But if you are than I'll tag along if you don't mind. Kinda boring sitting here by myself." she smiled sweetly at him. She didn't eat on long journeys.
Josh laughed at her react on being a Gryffindor. ''How can you tell 'definitely'? Its only an old hat. Maybe its skills weakens as it gets older just like humans and other creatures. Well...one thing in the world is true that i'm not a Ravenclaw!'' he laughed loudly ''I hope they wont hate me, though'' The only books he liked were the ones that he used as instruments for his jokes and comfort and he hated the kind of sophisticated language his mother used from time to time. Despite everything, he was going to miss her, not to mention his father who he admired. As Rose said that she was not hungry, Josh gave her a suspicious look but did not protest. He was going to make her eat anyway. ''Okay'' he said ''But you should put on some weight anyway. Otherwise those'' he indicated the werewolf pic grinning ''Can pick you up rather easily''
Lucille looked for someone to sit with; she couldnt find her friends anywhere. And as she was new, she didnt know anybody else. This was not a good way to start term...

Warren walked back from the food trolley, he noticed Lucille. They had met before briefly and became good friends. He could see that she looked lost. 'Hey Lucille wanna sit with me? '' he asked. ''Theres plenty of space'' he smiled. He knew Alex wouldn't mind. ''Come on, let me help you with your bags''

"Hey guys, how are you, can please sit here as I couldn’t find a good place for me to sit" said Lucy.

Lucille looked around and saw that Warren was talking to her. She sighed a breath of releif. She was greatful. "Warren!" she cried, and was so happy to see him that she flung her rms around him. She surprised even herself. She gained control and cleared her throat, looking away from him.
"I'd love to sit with you," she said. It really was good to see a friendly face. When he started to take her bags, she helped him.
"Here, lemme help," she said, grasping for the handle. "They're heavy...books ya know?"
She chuckled and followed Waren into a compartment. Her dad had told her that there was time when Slytherins and Hufflepuffs would never talk civally to one another. But every Snake she had met so far had been perfectly nice... She shrugged it off.

Warren turned around and saw Lucy. ''Sure why not'' he said. He opened the door where Alex and two other boys where sitting. ''Hey Alex, we have company, meet Lucille a good friend of mine, and this is Lucy she'd like to sit with us.'' Warren had always been brought up as a gentlemen, he knew it was important to be polite and kind, though he had some family problems just a few weeks ago. He tried to keep strong. ''Ladies first'' he said, giving one of his famous attractive smiles.

Warren was glad to put a happy smile on Lucilles face. ''Your not wrong about these bags'' he laughed. '' How much did you pack!? '' Warren introduced Lucille to Lucy, he had just met her and she wanted to sit with us.
Warren took Lucilles bag into the compartment and put them up high with the rest of the bags. ''Here let me take that one, i dont want you hurting yourself'' he smiled. He cared for his friends, he put them first before anything. Even his hair and the way he looked! which he was suprised about.
''Would you girls like a chocolate frog?'' he asked.

How much did she pack. Hmm, well, she had books on pretty much anything in there. But she didnt want to admitt taht yet. So she just chuckled.
Lucille watched as Warren lifted her bag into the top of the compartment. A girl was already sat down. When Warren introduced her, Lucille held out her hand, smiling. "Hi Lucy," she said, "Im Lucille. Close names, eh?" She giggled dlightly, jsut a little nervous giggle. But then she was distracted by chocolate.
"I'd love one," said Lucille, taking a frog. She unwrapped it and caught the frog before it made it's escape. Reaching for her wand, she imobalised it instantly, and took a bite. Next, she pulled out the card. It had a picture of a teenage boy with dark messy hair and bright green eyes. The text underneith said:

Feeling increasinly uncomfortable, Jake suddenly stood up, remembering about Lolcat sleeping on his lap just in time. He grabbed the cat and hitched up his large jeans, giving no explanation to where he was going other than a quick, "Bye."
Okay, now Blake and Shana could have some aloooooone time.
And Jake stepped out into the corridor... immediately realising that he did NOT want to be walking around. He wanted to sit somewhere, so his jeans weren't in danger of falling down.
Again.

Moving down the train and seeing a slight commotion up ahead, hearing the name 'Willie' mentioned, Jake went ahead and veered straight into another compartment, where he saw a girl staring out of the window.

"Hai!"
