Jake raised his hand after he had a quick review of the chapter in question. "Transit Cycles," he said, before giving an explanation in his own words. "Information they reveal? Along with one of the other cycles," Jake wasn't going to look down and check. "They give you information abut what might happen to you or maybe to do with you within the next year. Erm... maybe?"

Turning to the correct chapter of her textbook in front of her, Ainsley scanned through the words to find and answer and tried to put it into her own words before raising her hand. "They reveal the influences of your life by the letters of your name," she replied.

Sloane smiled as she picked up her quill and quickly wrote her name in easily readable print. She already liked this professor, very direct and straight to the point.

Lucille hurried to the chapter twenty eight. She dijested the information and put up her hand, saying as she did so: "Yes, he transit cycle uses the individual letters in your name to predict the events of your life."

Ella smiled at the finished product, then refocused her attention on the lesson.

Raising her hand Ella spoke, "Transit Cycles are events that are to take place in your future, I think."

"It basically tells you about your year ahead?" Sara said, timidly.

Timothy nodded at the answers being said around him so he took notes on everything that the teacher was saying, and the answers that his fellow classmates gave.

Fred looked inhis textbook and found Transit cycles and raised his hand ans said, " I think form what I've read it seems to predict the kind of person you'll be in the future."

Setting his little card thing on his desk, Raiden raised his hand.

"Miss Professor Shackleton, wouldn't that depend on whichever letter you were focused on? Each letter has a different type of information to reveal." He glanced back down at the book. "If you mean in general, then it's meant to roughly predict your upcoming year, I think?"

Kyle raised his hand And spoke,"

Herminny knew one of her fellow Gryffindors had just gotten it wron g responded to teachers question saying, "The transit cycle predicts what may happen to you in the future and how to handle you're life in accodance with it".

"Absolutely. I'm available to remain here for a bit after class and you can always visit me in my office any time you'd like to discuss something."


Turning her attention back to the class, Macadrian spoke clearly, "Very good. Everyone who said that the Transit Cycles convey information about the events to happen in the future is correct and will earn points for their houses. Please remember that these numbers are only slightly predictive in a very general way. Other numbers, like the Personal Time Numbers, Major Cycles, Pinnacles and Challenges are much more specific in their predictive nature.

"Now, how many Transits are there, what are they called?"

Evelyn raised her hand again. "There are three. The Physical, Mental, and Spiritual Transits." she said, her confidence rising just a bit but then plummeted. 'Oh my- I sound like a Ravenclaw!' she thought in horror.

Demetria raised her hand yet again. "There are three transits, Physical, Mental, and Spiritual."

Brain FREEZE!! ZZZ!

Looking around the packed classroom, Blake's eyes widened. "God, they have moved on from the name card thingy." He thought as he listened to students answering something about, ehh Transit Cycle?

Scratching his head with his quill, Blake thought for a moment.

Blake hastily grabbed his bag from the ground and grrr accidentally scattered all of its contents. Smiling sheepishly at the professor, he bent down and stuffed the textbooks, parchment and other silly things in his bag. Pheww, lets hope he pays attention to the lesson.

Chris raised his hand, "Umm... there are three different transits, I think, and they are called, The Physical Transit, the Mental Transit, and the Spiritual Transit?

Jake raised his hand. "Three Transits... Physical Transit, Mental Transit and Spiritual Transit," he said.

Short and sweet. Aye aye.

"Er... There are three Transits, Professor," said Kiri, raising her hand once more. "The... Physical, Mental and, um, Spiritual Transit. They correspond to your first name, last name and middle name respectively." She glanced at the book.

"No, sorry. First name, middle name, last name. The, er, Spiritual Transit is provided by the last name."
