Although it took her a little while, LouAnn finally managed to get her last name reduced to a single digit---seven. Oh, wasn't that supposed to be some sort of wickedly awesome number when it came to Arithmancy? Or maybe that was Runes? Or maybe it was Arithmancy? She flipped a few pages over in her book and read what the number seven Rune had to say.

On her paper, she wrote:

Abigail didn’t have a middle name so her spiritual plan was the same as her mental plane, but she rewrote the answer in her notes anyway.

Abby looks over the meanings for her last name. "Boy, I have a real passionate last name. I think I interpret it to mean I'm a strong-willed independant person with a passsion for love."

Raising his hand again, Jake winced a little, more for the fact that he was needing such assistance when he'd caused so much trouble. "I got a doubl' barrel surname 'n' all..." he said, fidgeting a little. "Do uh j'st... lump 't all uhgether?"

And now they had to work on their last name? Great.

Sighing Reid looked back down at his paper and began to write down his last name before working out the numbers that corresponded with the letters.

Was there a pattern here? All of his answers were multiples of three. Not looking forward to the reading he would get Reid slowly looked at his runes textbook, unsure if he really wanted to know what he got.

Reading over it Reid was slightly relieved. At least this reading wasn't as horrible as the other two, indeed this reading tended to suggest some happiness. Maybe, just maybe Ancient Runes wasn't as horrible as he thought.

"Professor if someone got a multiple of the same number when reducing in all their names would that have some kind of meaning or just be co-incidence?" Reid asked figuring that since it had to do with Arithmancy he could afford to speak again. Even though he was sure it was a stupid question.

And now they were supposed to do the calculations and everything for their last names. Which, if it continued on the path started with the rest of it all, meant the spiritual plane. Either way, Adrienne was curious on if the corresponding rune was going to make as little sense to her as the others, so she started scribbling calculations down.

She shrugged it off and started to calculate her other names.

_Interpretations_

Physical : With a Demiguise here it looks like i dont really reveal my true state physically, people cannot understand my mood by just lookin from there. Roughly I physically feel the Graphorn meanings but show nothing. 'Ha ha! That was something'

Mental : Not as bad as it looks. 'Doing too much at one time' that is exactly true. I generally do think about many things at the same time. And it is a guardian for me because i rely on my mind about most things. Though sometimes it makes me feel lonely but i cannot call this despair, sadness or terror.

Spiritual : Yeah! I'm a strong loving and protecting spirit! Determined to repel everything dark! Ha ha .At least i believe i am and believing is everything. I feel better when a part of a team, the kind of soul who is pretty annoyed when alone.

Alright, moving on again. Last name represents the spiritual transit. Since he didn't have a middle name and was using his last name for the mental transit, Edem only had to copy his previous notes. The results were, of course, the same. Wait, was it really how it was done? Hmm.. He'd ask Professor Shackleton when she finally came back.



He was too lazy to interpret, but--meh.

Edem pulled his first parchment and put it next to the one he was writing on. Interpretations, huh? Sooooo, start from the physical transit. He bit his lower lip and began to write.



Edem rolled his eyes and raised his eyebrows a lot as he was writing, but finally he got it all done. Sighing, he leaned himself to the back of the chair waiting for the next instructions.

Audio went through all three meanings in his head, looking over his notes and looking up the meanings again in his book. Some of these didn't make any sense whats so ever, but some of them did... a bit.

"Putting all three names together?" Evelyn repeated, not really sure what that meant. 'Sticking all the numbers together? But the numbers don't go that high...or interpreting all the numbers that our names produced, but didn't we do that already?' she thought, making herself even more confused than she already was. "What do you mean by that?" she asked quietly, not really wanting to be asking a professor a question, but having to anyways. "And why were we all talking about the zero rune before? Something about having a zero in our name...is it bad if we did have a zero in our numbers?"

Lorcan nodded, feeling slightly better about it. He looked down at his notes and saw that he had blotted out half of them. If I don't get the hang of quills soon I'll be breaking out a biro He started to very carefully make a new copy.



Do what? Does that mean more adding? he thought hopelessly. He scratched his nose and looked at the professor, waiting for more instructions

Whilst he waited for some answers to his questions, Jake went ahead and added notes to his parchment, writing out the rest of his name and the numbers with them, but going no further for now.

He hated hs double barrel name, but he'd since picked up just using his one last name, and it was going to stay that way. So he covered up his parchment with much secrecy.

And he was leaving it for now.

LouAnn wasn't entirely sure what to do next. The professor had said to put it all together, and together usually meant to add. Shrugging, LouAnn starting adding all her results together so she could get one reduced digit.

"Professor, do you want us to interpret how all the different numbers work together and what they mean about us, or are we suppose to add our numbers together to come up with just one number?" Right about now Marie was really confused and didn't even know if her question made any sense.

"The total of my full name is 3. Now what do I do?" Abby guesses they use the meaning to come up with a profile of themselves.

Professor Shackleton fielded this question, "It would most definitely have some meaning, mainly that the qualities of that number are particularly prominent in that person and that he or she might need to ensure that those qualities are kept in balance by broadening their approach to the physical, mental and spiritual planes."

"You should first interpret all the numbers separately in their respective planes, as we have done during the lesson. Then you need to consider how all three numbers interact in your life. Lastly, you should add all three numbers together and reduce. Convert that to rune and that gives you your most wholistic representation."

"Yeah, it's not like I asked a QUESTION or anything," Jake suddenly snapped, exceedingly miffed. He looked at his 'work' and fire blazed in his eyes. "I've been wasting my time in here," he muttered, something having triggered an angry little monster inside of him. "I have more important stuff I could be doing, you know?"

With that, he swept an arm across the desk, sending all his notes flying into the air and then tumbling to the floor, leaving his desk clear. "Pointless," he spat, the mean little not-Jake present again.
