He blinked at her a couple of times and sat back down in the chair. "Oh you did huh?" Marcus, kicked his feet up onto the table and eyed Alessia with interest. "And?" He was wearing a slight smirk on his face and wondered just how much she had been told.

"And... what?" she said and giggled. "I approve... little jealous you had a great summer and mine was... well we won't go there."

He couldn't help but grin at her. "Thanks." What else could he say? Marcus, chewed on his bottom lip for a moment and then sighed. "I'm sorry I didn't come and see you at the hospital. Hell, I'm sorry the whole thing happened."

He hadn't known what had happened till hours after the event after waking up on the floor of his office and then hearing the rumors. He remembered speaking to Ethan, afterwards but even that was a little fuzzy and he couldn't remember the whole conversation.

"Yes... about that. Where did you go? You weren't there..." She said thinking of the assembly...

Now he really was embarrassed and he definitely did not embarrass easily. Marcus, took a deep breath and offered her a small smile. "While Valon was giving his boring speech, I had to go to the bathroom." he paused for a moment before continuing, "And well on the way back I had an urge for some chocolate, so I quickly went up to my office and well I quickly stuffed a couple into my mouth." He sighed deeply and rubbed the back of his head, "I was in such a hurry that I didn't take notice of the funny smell...I woke up on my office floor quite a few hours later. They had been laced with a sleeping draught...according to head Auror at the Ministry anyway."

Marcus, gazed and Less and gave her an apologetic look. "I'm really sorry Less."

"Someone analyzed the chocolate?" Alessia asked not really looking at him. Was he telling the truth? She hoped he was. She would hate for her friend to be a bad person.

"Well the Auror...er what his name again? Oh yeah Forrester Hufflepuff. he said that it smelt like a sleeping draught and I have to agree with him. I just wish I had of recognised it before I ate the chocolate but like I said I was in a hurry." Marcus, gave her an imploring look willing her to believe him. "Less, I wouldn't do anything to hurt you...you know that. We're friends...really good friends."

She nodded and smiled at him. "How was the cake?" she asked. "It's from a muggle store you know... I think it's just as good as the ones you get in Diagon Alley, don't you?"

"It was absolutely delicious" he replied and his cocky grin returning. "Not as good as my pie but we never did get to eat that...did we?" Marcus, gave her a wink and chuckled softly. Oh yeah he was a terrible flirt and he knew it but he couldn't help himself, especially when there was a gorgeous looking woman in front of him.

She laughed. "I bet it was a tasty pie. Silly mad..." She said and cleaned up their empty plates. "Well... I think it's time for me to retire to my quarters. But thank you for coming to visit."

Marcus stood up from the chair and walked around the desk so that he was standing in front of her. "No problems." He lent forward and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight Alessia" he murmured before walking over to the door and opening it. He looked over his shoulder at her and gave her one last wink and then stepped into the corridor and closing the door quietly behind him.

Alessia smiled and shook her head. That man was incorrigible. She left the classroom, locking it behind her.
