Kay walked into the curtain and saw more desks with another assignment on it. She went over to the desk and sat to start her work. The great tree spread. Kay knew this one. She put her bag on the table and pick up the quill. Kay started her work and the drawing that she would be needing. Kay pulled the first rune and wrote down the information that she needed. She went on until she had pulled all five of the runes she needed and wrote up her paper. Kay put the quill down and stood to walk to the next curtain. |
Marie had walked through the curtain not really sure what to expect. Finding a painting of a tree along with a note she was not happy when she realized what the next task of the final was. 'Oh rats, I have to draw something now?' Marie was not liking this test but she would do her best on it even though art was not on the top of her favorite things to do. Again finding a desk near the back she sat down to work on her tree spread. 'Oh Holy Merlin, I have to do a spread on Professor Lupa! What am I going to ask about her?' Sitting there for a few minutes she jots down a few things she could use for this assignment. After a few minutes she finally decided on her question. After writing down the question on her parchment she grabs her bag of runes and takes out five of the them. She then draws them on the parchment in the order she took them out of the bag. 'Well that was the easy part, now to actually interpret them. Looking at the parchment and thinking about the question and the professor Marie finally comes up with her interpretation. She quickly writes it down so she can hopefully get this test done with soon. Finally getting the whole tree spread finished Marie stands, stretches and heads for the next and hopefully final curtain. |
Michelle quickly thought up a question. She then began pulling out the five Runes. She wrote down the meaning and interpretation of each. Then she drew the picture and went through the next curtain. |
Upon getting to the other side and rading the next instruction he saw things had just got a bit more difficult. He had to wrack his brain to come up with something that would be good for his Great Tree spread of the professor. With each rune he flipped he was panicking more and more till he finally finished. He then went behind the next curtain. |
Nikki walked passed the curtain and looked up at the painting of a tree. Using the Futhark Runes, do a Great Tree Spread for me...what! I'm horrible at those stupid Tree Speards! It was true, she hadn't really paid much attention to the lesson. And now it was going to cost her. Sucking it up, Nikki did the Tree Speard, then drew it out. Okay, that hadn't been so bad had it? Yes it had! She hated it! But it was time to move on to the next curtain. She walked over to it and stepped passed it, ready for the next part. |
After walking through the curtain, the first thing she noticed was the painting of the tree. 'Interesting...' and then the note on the side. So they had to draw the tree? And do a Great Tree spread for... ugh, great. 'I better pull some pretty good runes then. Think of a question. Think think...' staring at the bag of runes, Evelyn finally thought of something that would be okay to ask, and set to working on the tree spread. After finished writing everything down, she stared up at the painting for a moment... just looking at the details, until she actually had to draw it. After she was finished, she went on through the next curtain... |
Celandine passed through the curtain and sat down. She read the instructions and shook her bag of runes. Hmmmm a reading for Professor Lupa? Celandine decided to keep the question simple and as she drew the runes and lay them out. Branch of the Heart, Branch of the Mind, Supporting Branches, Future Growth and the Trunk. She spent some time interpreting the runes and writing her interpretation up, then she got started on the fun stuff. Yay for drawings! As soon as she was done, Celandine placed her work face down on the table and got up. She walked through the next curtain. |
Shaking, Blake stepped through the curtain to perform the next task. He was bit less nervy as the first part went quite good. Much better than his expectations. However, a wave of fear rushed through him as he read what the next part was. Great Tree Spread?? NUUU! He fell asleep by the time he reached that topic last night - and with no revision at all, how will he ever complete this? Swallowing a lump, he plopped down on a seat and sighed. Everyone seemed busy...except him.. Shaking off his nerves, Blake decided to draw the tree first. Hopefully, he'll get some marks for the drawing. Cursing himself under his breath, Blake stood up and moved towards the next and possibly the last curtain. Please be a bit easy...please |
This was easy! Fyo had done a Great Tree Spread thrice, now - once in class, once with Cela - a bit of practice, so that he could attempt a good assignment - and once as part of his homework. He quickly dipped his quill in ink, and set to work. It took a while, of course - it was lengthy work! - but he was done sooner than he had expected. The fourth year stood up and, at long, long last, walked over to the last curtain. I hope the last step isn't too complicated ... |
So the first part of the final was easy. Destiny was a little scared to walk into the second part, but it had to be done. Walking behind the curtain with the bag of runes in hand, she noticed the tree. Okay weird.. Great, Destiny was a horrible artist and they had to draw that tree? And they had to do a Great Tree Spread on Professor Lupa!? Destiny did not like this part of the final. She drew the tree first, because it was easier, and then got to work on the Tree Spread. Done! She flipped her parchment over and walked to the other curtain. |
He had to do another Tree Spread? Well, at least he still remembered how to do them. He just needed to think of a question to ask the Runes relating to Professor Lupa. Then he got an idea. He bit his lip and pulled out he 5 Runes and laid them out in he spread. He then picked up his quill and did the drawing then started on his interpretation. |
Fallon walked through the curtain and entered the next room. She went and sat down then read over the instructions. The Great Tree Spread...I should've paid more attention. She thought about it as hard as she could. She started to draw, not one hundred percent sure if she was correct. When she was done, she flipped the parchment over and got up from her seat. She headed towards the next curtain. |
Matheu entered the curtain and read the directions. He then went to a desk and started his work. |
As Evan got out of the curtain, his heart sank again: he wasn't there at the Futhark Classroom, and even though he studied, all of the information seemed to be lost somewhere in his brain. He should have read more carefully! He got to a desk, and began to write with a shaking hand. When he was finished with writing, he was at the edge of crying. He knew he didn't do a good job at all. He could as well give a blank sheet, even that would get more points. Nevertheless, with a pathetic little hope, he draw the tree, or more correctly, made that up too. He didn't know what to draw! When he was finished with the drawing too, he walked through the other curtain, cursing himself for not studying well on his way. |
Reading over the next task, Tibi sighed. What question would he ask? Grinning, with perhaps a little malice, he asked the runes a question, hoping the result would be poor. Placing out the spread, he frowned. It actually didn't look too bad. Oh well, he thought, considering the meanings of the runes spread before him. With a small bit of enjoyment, and allowing himself a small smile, Tibi proceeded to record the reading with a picture. Checking over his work yet again, Tiberius set the parchment down and continued on through the next curtain. |
Past the first curtain, LouAnn once again took a seat so that she could begin on the next part of her final exam. Oh, a Great Tree Spread! She felt really confident in this, as she'd recently done at least one of them on her homework assignment. She shook her bag of runes then began drawing out five to represent the Branch of the Heart, Branch of the Mind, The Supporting Branches, Future Growth, and The Trunk. Now all LouAnn had to do was interpret them and see how they'd answer the question she'd asked about Professor Lupa. When that was done, she was free to begin on the next part. LouAnn wasn't so great at drawing, but nevertheless, she set to work drawing the tree as she saw it. She then gathered her personal belongings and proceeded through the next curtain. |
Mina walked though the curtain and stopped in front of the painting. Tilting her head to the side slightly, she noticed the note. A Great Tree Spread..must think of a good question. She studied the painting for a moment before sitting down. She sat in thought for some time, but she shook the bag and pulled out the five runes for the spread. Placing them in their positions, she started her reading. Taking some extra time with the meanings, she smiled with a sense of accomplishment. The foreboding feeling was slowly leaving her. After checking her reading, she picked up the quill again and began to draw it out. Once she was satisfied with all her work, she flipped the parchment over and grabbed her things before moving for the next curtain. She gave the painting one last look, before leaving through the curtain. |
On the other side of the curtain some other instructions were waiting for Josh who groaned the first time he set his eyes upon it. The work did not look hard but that Tree Spread stuff was taking soo long time to do and he did not like writing that much. He even did not take notes in the classroom. Pffff. However he had to do this so he took out the little bag of runes and pulled out five runes. 'Nice' Now he had to get on the work. Once he was finished with interpreting, which was tiring, he started to draw a tree. He had no idea how he was supposed to draw it but on the other hand he had not any patience left for this second part. 'Finish it and just leave' Once the three was done ... 'There still was the third part' he walked to the next curtain. |
Wesley entered the room, jittery. But the tiny Hufflepuff's shoulders instantly relaxed as she saw the picture. She knew this. Sitting down at a desk, she thought hard about a question, and then, after finally decided, drew her runes out of the bag she'd picked up in the last chamber. Proceeding to write her interpretations, Wesley glanced at the chart frequently. It was a nice picture. The twelve-year-old decided that she liked trees, and when it came to drawing the actual poster, she took great time and care, her nose scrunched up in concentration. Holding it up in front of her, Wesley compared her picture to the poster. Though her tree hardly looked like the one in front of her, she thought it had a lot of heart in it. It made her want to go outside and sit under a tree. Finally done, the brunette set down her work reluctantly, and walked through the next curtain much happier then she had been going through the first one. Maybe they'd get to color some more. |
Next step. How fun. Livvy walked through the curtain and noticed that many students were already gathered there. She noticed the note on the painting of a tree and sighed. Great. A tree spread. In front of the scary lady of a professor. Just.... wonderful. She was going to fail. She just knew it. The Ravenclaw took a seat and after much contemplating and thoughtful interpreting and much... whateveritisthatyoudoinancientrunes... she finished. And she wasn't dead. Good for Livvy! She gathered up all her belongings and nodded cordially at the professor, before she went through the next room, crossing her fingers under bag for an easy assessment. |
Ken was surprised he had went on to the next one, test taking wasn't his thing, school wasn't all he thought it'd be. All those kids walking into the restaurant, laughing about what happened that day, school seemed like the place he'd want to go. If he'd known... Sighing deeply he pulled his pencil from his pocket and racketed his brain, drawing was technical, not much thinking needed. This was his forte, he wished he could build things then he'd pass his classes with flying colours. |
Raven frowned slightly when she noticed there was an entire new part to this final, but she took a deep breath then sat down at one of the desks and flipped over the parchment, she was immediately relieved that it was only a great tree spread since that was something she had spent a lot of time reviewing. She finished a short while later, then got up and headed through the next curtain. |
Copernicus was pleased that he was finally using the regular runes he was familiar with. Those Rowling Runes were insane... but he knew his Futhark runes. He pulled five from the bag, setting them out into the Great Tree Spread as indicated. Ah-ha. And now he was ready to start writing. Once finished, he returned the runes to his bag and headed through the next curtain. |
Eeep this would be tough. Shumeeta didn't really know how to do a great tree spread well. Plus she was terrible at drawing. The sixth year bit her lip then quickly arranged her stuff an' began the second part of the exam. When she was done, she stood up an' walked through the next curtain. In all hope, the next bit would be easier. |
