The desks in the transfiguration classroom are arranged in neatly paired rows, all facing the front of the classroom. In front is a wide desk made of several student desks pushed together. A closed box sits on this desk, and a chalkboard behind states that class will begin shortly and you should sit down and wait for Professor Svensson, who is not yet present.

Once again, Anna raised her hand. She wasn't sure what the correct answer was at all. "In your hands...or, like I said earlier, perhaps it's just simply existing within a given dimension," she said. There. That sounded...acceptable, maybe. She couldn't wait to hear what the correct answer was.

Willow raised her hand at this one. She actually knew it. "The cage is in the nonbeing, which is everywhere, yes? As in, I think that suggests that it stopped existing until you re-conjure it again?"

"Umm,The cage was disappeared appeared sir,but I think that is only temporary because its not the spell Reducto that can vanished things then turned it to powder."Cedric answered with his hand raised.

Oh, wow. Things were going and coming so quickly...the cage was actually gone now. Anna raised her hand once again, confusion still all over her face. "Well, it's no longer in your hands, sir, but it's still existing within a given dimension...only, one that isn't so easily accessible to us," she said.

"Oooh! Ooooooh!" Jake raised his hand. He knew this one, he remembered discussing it once, something to do with the Ravenclaw common room entry, which asked people questions. "Sir, it's that question, Where do vanished objects go? To which the answer is, into non-being, which is actually everything... so it's everywhere."

Nancy grinned at the professor, the confusion still present on her face though as she glanced at the other students who looked just as confused as she was. What was Professor Svensson trying to prove?! Huh?!
He then pointed his wand at the cage and with a swift movement of his hand and a muttered Evanesco let it vanish into thin air, leaving the little bird with nowhere to go but the professor's outstretched hand. Well, it could have gone somewhere else as well, out of the window for example but whatever. It apparently was a well-trained bird. Now, another one of these weird questions. Slowly raising her hand Nancy muttered her answer more a question than a statement, "Uhm...gone?"

"Not quite. Reducto doesn't exactly vanish things, but it more of explodes them into powder. "But you're correct that it is temporary. As you see, I can still conjure it back into being."

Herminny was a bit intrigued by this question cause she knew it must have an intresting answer and she was right that was quite the intriguing answer and no questions were on her mind so she sat back and waited to see what her classmates could come up with.

Anna glanced cautiously around the room, half-expecting an invisible cage to come whooshing past here at any moment. Or worse...what if it flew around and around the room until it eventually smacked someone in the head or something? Whooaaa. This was some deep stuff. The non-being was a little on the freaky side. What was non-being, exactly, and where would that cage be once it was summoned into existence once again?

"I have a question sir, well if the subject is in non-being as for better words, how far will we know it has gone, say if the subject blows out the window and we dont re-congure it right away, and it goes really far will the spell take time to work or instantly? brant hoped that it wasn't a stupid question and he started to blush hopeing the other student didn't think it was.

Laura raised her hand. "Laura, sir." she said. "So, sir, if the cage doen't exsit when it is vanished, how can you make it come back?" Laura blushed. Then question sounded so awkward, so stupid, that she lowered her eyes to the desk as she put her hand down.

Yup, yup. Clifford had a question. "Professor, can you make people disappear?" He asked, one hand in the air and one hand moving to his yummy pastry. Forgetting about the whole canary thing, the Head Boy took a HUUUUGE bite and swiftly transformed into a giant canary. EEEEEK! Just moments later though, he was Clifford Carden again. "Woooooooow," he murmured, eyeing the pastry before looking back at the Professor. "And uh - where can I get me some more of these pastries?"

The cage is in nonbeing. It is everywhere, in everything. At this Nancy's mouth dropped open slightly, without her noticing of course, so she just remained sitting there, with her mouth hanging open, and stared at Professor Svensson. Did that mean that cage had just been in the room? Like everywhere in the room? Like everywhere? Maybe parts of it had even been to Romania until it was reconjured. How cool was that?!

Just as she was about to raise her hand to ask something she was stopped by Clifford's voice who asked exactly the thing she had wanted to know. Can you make people disappear like that? Maybe she could go to Romania as well. Slightly startled by a loud Woosh! from behind her Nancy jerked her head around only to see Clifford just turning right back into himself from being a canary. With a small roll of her eyes Nancy chuckled slightly as she turned around and waited for the professor to answer the questions.

Oooooooooohhh! Making people dissappear ~~sounded like a good idea~~ was an interesting topic to discuss. And Willow had to admit that she was a bit surprised that it had been Clifford Carden the one to suggest it. It really had been a smart question.

Eating that pastry, however, had not been nearly as smart, though. The opposite of smart, as a matter of fact, but the boy didn't seem to mind.

Of course he didn't. He was Clifford, after all.

Ryder listened to what everyone around him was saying. He was having a hard time taking this all in as he took in everything that was being said. He didn't understand most of this, though, he did recall learning about some of it once. But it was with such a rush of information that he had, that not much of this made sense to him.

Ryder raised his hand, "Ryder Montgomery, sir. But if things that vanished were in a non-being, wouldn't that mean that technically they couldn't go anywhere?" He wasn't quite sure how it worked, but that seemed to make sense to him.

Raiden raised his hand, forehead creasing in a slight frown. Something the professor had said didn't quite... feel right in his head, and he'd just figured out why.

"Sir... does magic circumvent the idea that matter cannot be created or destroyed? I never actually thought about it before, but when you said it didn't exist it made me wonder... Do we create matter? Or is there some shop or house in the world that's missing a birdcage now?"

Most things in muggle science didn't apply to wizarding kind, but that rule was one that he'd never actually heard talked about...

"Vanishing something does not make it invisible. It makes it nonexistant, basically. When I vanished this birdcage, it was everywhere. I was not just holding an invisible bird cage. I was holding a bird, because the bird cage was gone." That made sense, didn't it? Lars thought so, anyway. "To reiterate: vanishing does not make something invisible."

Lars scratched his chin as he pondered the boy's question. "Well, we are using magic, after all, so some of it would be out of the window, some would be in here... time doesn't really affect where the vanished object goes." Make people disappear. Make people disappear. You could make anything disappear, but Lars did not want to say so. He feared that someone would ask for a demonstration. "Technically you can, but why would you do that, Mister Carden?" Professor Svensson raised a hand to cover his mouth as he grinned at Clifford the Canary. With a delighted wink for Clifford the Boy, he told him, "Canary creams. By Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes."

Lars Svensson turned to what he hoped was the last question-asker. Oh, lovely. A complicated question. Best to answer it in parts, Lars decided. "No, there is no shop or house that is missing a birdcage right now. This is the same birdcage that my dear bird Yellow has always lived in. Well, always since I've owned him." Lars waved a hand as if to dismiss the importance of how long Yellow had lived in the bird cage. The important part was that it was the same birdcage as before. "We don't really create or destroy matter. It's more of the idea that, when we vanish something, we scatter all the atoms and molecules and particles that comprise it. And, contrarywise, when we conjure something, we gather all the particles we need from around us, and they become whatever it is we've conjured."

Right. Enough with the philosophical mumblejumble. "If there are no more questions, I think we're ready to try out this spell for ourselves. Could Miss Griffin, the boy who asked about the creation and destruction of matter whose name I do not know, aaaand.... Miss Corbette please come help me pass some of this out?" Professor Svensson motioned to the box and peered inside it to make sure that the miscellaneous objects were still in there.
