Ricco walked into the room called the training room and took a look around it, in one part of the room there were half eaten owl treats that students had used to give their owls as a form of bribery.

Looking round to the other side he noticed more.

There were a few stands were the owls sat on (or stood) while they waited on their owners giving them a treat for standing still.

"Ricco." Ethan leaned against the wall and eyed the boy. "Tell me why you are here."

At least it was quiet in here, and he'd chosen the least grotty room since he had other punishments in mind for the boy.

Ricco was tempted to say many things but as he wanted to go to one of the Quidditch Tryouts he decided that he was going to be good, "I am here as i was very selfish and i was getting in the way while people like yourself were trying to save people" he said as he stood up straight instead of leaning against a wall.

"Selfish, huh? interesting Any other reasons? Why do you think you were getting in the way?" Of course it was obvious to Ethan, but the point was for Ricco to acknowledge it.

Hearing voices outside Ethan held up one finger for Ricco and left the room. "I'll be back in just a moment."

"I am also here because i was stupid and childish because first i was swimming in the dungeons and second i did not listen to the professors that were down there" He said as his head dropped to the ground as he felt very disaponted with himself "I should have done what was told and got out of the water, then head up to the great hall so that you Professors could get everyone out before the water had risen too much"

... this wasn't... sooooo bad. Nahh, this was okay. Considering.

Still smelt kinda funky though. And not disco funky. Baaaaaaaad funky. Like, funky-funky. Not even funky-town.

It was... meh.

Stepping into the room, Jake immediately recognised Ricco Santos. "Perfect," he muttered again, not meaning it, of course.

Ethan returned a moment later and listened to what Ricco had to say.
"You really should have." he agreed.

"Jake." Completely perfect. Ha.

"What I want the two of you to do is to tell each other why you are here. Ricco, explain to Jake what you did and Jake you tell Ricco why what he did was wrong, then Jake you are to explain what you did that got you detention and Ricco is to tell you why what you did was wrong. I'll just be over here." Zan began whistling to himself and conjured a table, upon which he began to arrange various.... implements.

All Ricco could do was sigh when he seen the familiar face of Jake Upstead, 'Thats just great, im never getting out of here' he thought to himself.

Looking at Jake, Ricco knew that he wasnt getting out of here if he didnt take part, "Well firstly i went for a swim in the dungeons" He said taking a breath to make sure he didnt grin, nope a grin would not be good just now, "Then i did not follow Professor Truebridges, Miss Avalons, Headboy Cliffords or the prefects instructions when i was told to go away to the Great hall". Ricco shouldnt have done what he did but it was past news and he had too get over it, now all he had to do was hope Jake cooperated.

STOP with the infernal WHISTLING!

One of the most annoying sounds produced by man and bird-kind alike... unless Jake was whistling. That was always enjoyable. Anyway... wait, what was he doing?

"Erm..." Jake murmured as he glanced at Truebridge out of the corner of his eye. What. Was. He. Up to? "Why what you did was wrong..." he repeated. "You got caught and lost points."

Yep, that was it!

"Not enough. Keeeeeep going." Ethan held up something shiny and squinted at it for a moment before placing it on the table and resuming his whistling.

Blinking over at Truebridge, Jake gaped at thatever the shiny thing was that the man held. Oh dear. Oh deary, dear, dear. Biting his lip, Jake turned back to Ricco.

How had the kid SWAM in the dungeons anyway? There wasn't a pool down there, right? Of course, Jake was oblivious to the whole situation.

Meh.

"Swimming is fun," Jake continued, voice showing less nerves than before. That whistling... was annoyyyyiiiiiiing. "You're not allowed to have fun in this place," he added, just a leeeeettle hint of bitterness in his voice.

Ricco just stared at the boy , his temper was rising "Listen!" he said harshly to the boy "I want to get out of here and if you don't want to then thats your choice but why don't you just answer seriously and start thinking of others more often".

Thinking of others he thought

Turning to Professor Truebridge he said "Thats what i need to do sir, i need to think about others more and stop only thinking about myself"

"You are actually, as long as you don't confuse fun and stupid." Ethan pointed out.

Truebridge raised one eyebrow to the harsh tone that Ricco used towards Jake.

"Don't tell me, tell each other. Try it out, civilised conversation. On topic of course." Ethan carefully placed a bottle of super sticky glue on the table and continued whistling.

"You shut up!" Jake argued back. "I'm trying here. If you don't want to be here then you shouldn't have been an idiot!" he exclaimed, breathing harshly. "So don't blame me, just because I don't know some stuff."

Jeeeeez, talk about impatient. Oh, lookit. The boy was doing Jake's job, grrreeeeaaat.

Jake crossed his arms over his chest and glaaaaaared.

Then Truebridge spoke up... pfft. It seemed like every oppurtunity for fun was kind of RIPPED out of their reach. "I don't know why it was wrong, sir," Jake admitted, trying to keep a lid on his temper.

Ricco was a boiling point but since he wanted to get out he tried the breathing technique Lettie had told him to do. Taking a deep breath he held it in for a very short period of time before lettng it out again. "Ok so what did you do Jake" He said in a nicer tone.

How zen. It was like Jake was speaking into a mirror.

"That's why you are here, to learn about right and wrong. You two are going to help each other figure it out. Just me telling you isn't going to be enough. The yelling by the way, isn't the most constructive method. Talk to each other, figure it out; why are you both here? What did you do wrong? Why do you think you were given a detention in the first place? What do you think myself and Lawson were thinking? Talk about it. Figure it out."

Ethan placed his wand carefully on the table.

"It would probably be better to avoid tempting me into using my wand." His voice was mild, but it was definitely a warning.

"Better." Ethan paused for another moment before resuming his whistling.

Hmmmm...

Okay, I'll leave that for a second.

"Me?" Jake asked, frowning a Ricco. "I pushed a suit of armour on the head girl and wrecked the rest of suits of armour by trashing the corridor," he explained, bluntly. "I got angry."

Yep, yep. That was aaaaaaall he needed to know.

Nice was the first thing that came into his mind but he figured that it wasnt smart to share it with Professor Truebridge.

"Well di you lose any housepoints" He asked interested to hear if he lost as many as 20.

"Ten," Jake nodded. "Five from Anna, five from Lawson," he explained, glancing at his surroundings for the first time, really. The whole points thing never bothered Jake... it was more who would kill him first when certain people found out.

"Ok lets see" Ricco said as he began to think what he did wrong..."Well you shouldnt have pushed that Suit of Armour at Anna and if you had stopped doing what you did then maybe you would have not got detention or lost any points"

"Nuh-uh," Jake retorted. "That's not answering the question. Yer meant to say WHY it was wrong," he said, shrugging. If Jake wasn't getting out of answering the question that easily then neither was Ricco.

It was kind of obvious that he shouldn't have done what he did... buuuuut, Jake had already done it. And still, there was always the question of why.

Ricco was almost about done with this...kid. "Well isnt it obvious? you shouldnt throw Suits of armour around the place".

Ricco felt that now would be a good time to say sorry one more time "I am sorry for kicking you in the great hall Jake"

"Why shouldn't I?" Jake asked, curiously. That was the whole point of this, right? That was the big question... it could go ooooooon and ooooooon and make the detention drag oooooooon.

"Don't say that word," Jake muttered, shortly. He hated to hear it... sorry. Who knew why? Nobody.

What was going to happen to them?

Ricco found a clean bit of the wall, probably from were an unsuspecting student had lay back and.....YUCK. "Well lets use examples for this" he said as he began to think of who he listens to "Would you throw a suit of armour at Professor Morgan".
