Chris shook his head in agreement about the flooding. "It really is terrible that two houses are now without a Common room." he truned to Reese quickly to add. 'Im sorry that you have lost your's but you get to stay with us." he said gesturing to Anna and himself.

"Oh sure, we can catch up later. I can see now that you guys are talking about something private and I wouldn't want to bother you two. Sure Anna we can talk in the Common Room later." he said with a wave to the two of them.

Reese nodded as Anna told her to hold that thought. She crossed her arms as she looked between Anna and Chris. She would have loved to talk to Chris, but right now wasn't a good time. She really needed Anna's advice on what she should should do since liked Jack and, honestly, she had no idea what to do. Whitney told her to tell him she liked him, but that was out of the question. Then Lima told her to just wait and see where things go. Lima's advice was the best so far, but maybe Anna had much better advice for her.

Then...Just then...Chris said it was a shame that two houses were without a common room. That must mean the Hufflepuff lost their common. Oh my- "Does anyone know if Jake is okay?" She asked. She turned to Chris and smiled. "Yeah, at least I get to stay in the Gryffindor common room," she told him. "It's very different from our common room, but I like it." She waved at Chris and then she turned back to Anna.

"Yeah, this flood's a mess," Anna agreed, making a face at the very thought of the flood that had quickly destroyed parts of the school. "I just hope the pattern doesn't continue and have the flood take over the ground floor, too. I think at that point, it'd be safe to say we should vacate the school. I hope we can solve the issue by that point, though. This is my senior year! I want to stay at the school as long as I can! More importantly, though, I don't want anyone or anything to be destroyed.

She nodded when Chris agreed to catch up with her later on. He'd always been an understanding guy and easy to get along with. She was grateful to have him as a friend. "Yup, I'll see you around. Come find in the Common Room later on," she said. With a final wave and a smile, Anna patted Reese on the back and led her down the corridor a little.

"Jake is fine," Anna answered. "I wasn't near the kitchens when the flood happened, but I heard talk of it in the corridors earlier. They were able to get everyone, including the house elves, out." Anna was happy to hear that the house elves had been saved, too. They were so little and so cute and always ready to lend a helping hand around the school. It'd be a shame for such an innocent creature to be taken away by the terrible flooding. When she and Reese were out of the earshots of anyone in the vicinity, Anna began her little 'girl talk' with Reese.

"Alright, so this guy...," Anna began, suddenly remembering how Jack had randomly asked her for advice on a girl a few days ago. Weird... "I don't think you have anything to worry about as far as not having liked a guy in a long time. We're teenagers...we have this built in radar that helps us know just what to do around that special someone," she said with a laugh. "Anyway, my advice to you is to just continue being yourself around him and talk with him as often as possible. Most of the time, if you just continue to hang out together, things will process naturally...on their own, you know. You'll also be able to pick up on whether or not he likes you as more than a friend." She paused and then added, "So, do I know him? Come on...tell me his name!"

Reese looked at Anna when she patted her on the back. She took one last look at the place where Chris was at a little bit ago, then she started walking down the corridor with Anna. Her face brightened up when Anna said Jake was fine. "Okay, that's good," she said, you can even tell the relief in her voice to know her stepbrother was okay. "It's also good they got the house elves out, too." So, everyone got out safely. That was REALLY good to hear! But, that flood was still rising. Will it ever stop?

She listened to Anna say that we had this built in radar that helps us know what to do around a guy. She smiled slightly and nodded at Anna. "Okay, so, I just do what the radar tells me to do? Is that what your saying," she asked. She knew she had a conscience, but she never knew she also had a radar. That was so cool. Oh, yeah. Anna's advice was the best. "Okaaaaay, I can do that. Just be myself and talk with him as much as possible," she told her. "That sounds easy enough." Anna wanted to know his name? She should have known that. Since Anna had given her advice, the best she could do is tell her the name of the guy she liked. "It's Jack Fritzera," she answered.

Anna stopped dead in her tracks and turned to look at Reese was a thoroughly disgusted look. Had she been drinking a nice glass of pumpkin juice right now, this would have been the point in the conversation where she'd have spewed it all out of her mouth in pure shock. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa," Anna said, blinking her eyes a few times to make sure she was truly focused on the conversation. This was one topic she wanted to be completely at her wits for. "Reese...? Jack Fritzera? I mean, are you sure?" Anna wrinkled her eyebrows at Reese, thoroughly confused as to how a nice, pretty girl like Reese could fall for the geek-next-door.

"I mean, don't get me wrong...," she continued, "but I just always sort of expected you to fall for a slightly different type of guy." You know, one more socially active and less likely to marry a constellation. She didn't say that last part out loud, though. She didn't want to upset Reese too much. Come to think of it, though, she wasn't being very nice to Reese---or Jack---at the moment. "Awww, I'm sorry, Reese. You came to me for advice, and I'm being rather rude. Jack's a nice kid," she said. "He even came to me for advice on a certain girl a few days ago. He didn't say who she was, though." Ah ha! So Reese and Jack liked one another. How...cute! This would be an interesting little relationship to watch blossom.

Reese raised her eyebrow. She was getting the idea that Anna didn't like Jack that much. "A different type of guy? Anna, I've gone out with 2 guys in my lifetime, not including Cam. One cheated on me the other I never saw. You know, Jack seems like the right guy for me. He's nice and..." Pretty. Nope. She wasn't going to finish that sentence. "Yeah, he just seems like the right guy. He seems like the guy I can trust and the guy that won't leave me nor cheat on me," she told her. "Still, he probably doesn't even like me back. So, I should just-you know-find someone that likes me and get over Jack. Jack's probably into girl's who like Astronomy as much as he does...someone not like me."

She frowned when Anna said Jack came to her for advice for a certain girl. She couldn't be that 'certain girl'. "So, he likes another girl?" She asked. She knew Anna said that Jack didn't tell her the girl's name. But, what were the chances of that girl being Reese? The chances were little. That was cool, though. She could just go on in life and find someone else, right? No she couldn't. She really did like Jack and finding someone else would be difficult.

"No, no. Nevermind what I said earlier. I was being rather stereotypical, and that wasn't fair for me to do," Anna admitted. While Jack was a little socially awkward and not exactly popular amongst his fellow students, he'd always been nice to Anna, and she owed him a good word or two...or three or four or a hundred. "Two guys? Do you realize you've dated more guys that me?" Anna asked, with a laugh. "Crazy as it sounds, Caleb was my first boyfriend, and now I'm engaged to him! Oh, oh! Speaking of that...before I forget, Reese, would you be one of my bridesmaid, please? You're one of my best friends, and I'd be honored if you would. That's what I've been meaning to ask you about."

"Anyway, though, I think playing cupid just might be in order. I don't think you have anything to worry about, Reese. I mean, Jack likes someone, and...really, who else could it be, but you?" Anna asked, a knowing smile on her face. "I wouldn't be surprised if you two don't like one another, and you're just too scared to admit it." She tugged Reese's arm a little and then added, "Come on! I bet he's in the Common Room now! Let's go find him!" Without another word, Anna tugged Reese further down the corridor, en route to go find Jack Fritzera.

Ryder laughed, almost ironically when Dominic mentioned being homeless. He had almost forgotten about how easy Dominic was to talk to. But about being homeless, he wasn't going to forget that.

"Everything's been pretty good," he told him. "The classes are...classes, but then, what else would you expect?" he said, rhetorically. "I heard you made it on to the house team," Ryder said to the other boy before he added, "congratulations!"

There was another boy standing with them, who looked to be about his age. Turning slightly to face him he said, "Hi, I don't think I've met you before. I'm Ryder," he said, holding out his hand.

Laura wandered into the corridor, pausing to lean against the wall and catch her breath. Her pasty face looked odd in the light and she really felt ill. But she needed that minute of rest before making those last few steps to the Hospital Wing. Looking around, she noticed that there were many conversations going on around her but she was oblivious to them and words seemed slurred to her ears.

Leaning against the wall, Laura closed her eyes for a moment and controled her breathing. Really, she hated being sick.

Bwaha. Reese dated more guys than Anna. She found that really funny. But, Cale was pretty much Anna's Prince Charming. She didn't have to look long to find him. Reese, on the other hand, didn't find her Prince Charming the first time around. So, yes, that's why she has dated 2 guys since she started school. "Anna, you can't tell Cale about me liking Jack, okay?" Wait, what was she saying? Cale was probably going to find out about this sooner or later. Might as well give Anna permission to tell him. "I mean, you can tell him, but- you know- don't give him too much information about what's going on," she quickly added to the last sentence.

Her jaw dropped open when Anna asked her to be her bridesmaid. Bridesmaid? She's never been a bridesmaid before. "Oh my- Of course I will be your bridesmaid," she answered. She wanted to cry tears of joy right now. This was such an honor for Anna to ask her to be a bridesmaid at her and Cale's wedding. Now, she was getting all excited about the wedding.

"Playing...cupid? What do you mean by that? No, Anna! You are NOT going to tell Jack I like him. Whitney wanted me to go off and tell him that, but what if that someone isn't me and then he finds out I like him- it would just ruin or friendship! Well, not exactly ruin it, but our friendship would become awkward and stuff," Reese explained. What Anna just said made her think a little bit. Who else could it be? Well, there are a lot of girls in this school that Jack could like. "There's a ton of girls that attend Hogwarts, Anna. There is a chance that he might like another girl. You never know," she told her. "Too scared to admit it? I'm not too scared to admit it." If Anna thought Jack liked her, then... Anna was pretty much ALWAYS right.

Jack Fritzera actually liked her.

Reese felt Anna pulling on her arm and she followed her down the corridor, but then she heard Anna said they were going to go find him. "NO!" She exclaimed, but it was too late. Anna was pulling her to the common room, but HOPEFULLY Jack wouldn't be there.

Isabella hurried after Laura.
"oh dear she looks bad," she thought as she saw Laura catching her breath and holding herself against the wall for support.
"here Laura," said Bella as she hurried towards her friend. she put her hand on her waist and pulled her along slowly towards the Hospital Wing carefully so that they dont bump into anyone in the corridor.
"Honestly Laura you look too sick for just a cold." she said holding her firmly.

Laura opened her eyes as Bella grabbed her. Too sick for just a cold. She got that one right. Barely hearing the voices in the corridor, Laura let herself be helped towards the hospital wing.

Steven groaned a little, noting that Nancy seemed chewed off, and well... irritated and angry. He had no idea what he had done this time but knew that having to decide between his best friend and his cousin would be a hard decision... It wasn't like it was George... Shaking that thought out of his head, he paid attention to Sarah as Nancy seemed to recognise the girl infront of him. He gazed at Nancy slightly confused as Sarah started to act... weird.

He looked between the pair of girls as Sarah got frightened, and Nancy got even more angry (which hadn't seemed possible a few minutes before). Getting to his feet again, Steven stood between the fourteen- and the twelve-year old pair and looked at them both. “No one is going to be doing any jinxing!” He said, with another confused glance between them.

“Would someone mind filling me in?” He asked, as he continued to stare between two of his favourite girls in the whole of Hogwarts. He suddenly had a huge feeling that they hadn't realised that he knew them both, and he also had a huge feeling that they didn't like each other. Oh God, this day was simply getting worse.

Torin slowly made his was through the corridor. He wanted to find someone that he knew who he could talk to. He was bored and tired of school work. He wanted to see Karma or Vannie. Heck, even Reese. He sighed and wondered where everyone was.

Heading back up from her most recent trip outside, Elizabeth fully planned to drop off the books she had with her in her school bag and exchange them for what she was going to need for her next class. Even though she didn't actually have another class for a while, it would save her time so she didn't have to run back up to the dormitory right before. And then she could go find Robert, Mari, or anyone else she knew and could talk to, and hang out with them without having to worry.

But as she arrived on the third floor, she was distracted for a moment by the sight of a boy wandering down the corridor a little ways ahead of her. And when she noticed he was a Hufflepuff, she wondered if he was simply not sure what he was supposed to do, what with the flooding and everything. He certainly looked like something was wrong. "Are you okay?," she called out once she got closer. It wasn't like she knew anything she could do, in case there actually was something wrong, but she wasn't going to just ignore him either.

He looked up when he suddenly heard a voice talking to him. He stopped and turned to face her. "I'm just bored and can't find anyone to talk to."

"I'm Torin, by the way." He smiled at her. She was pretty.

Elizabeth smiled when the boy looked up as she caught up to him, and nodded slightly at his words. "I can see where that would be a problem," she replied, slipping one hand around the strap of her school bag as it slipped a little. The downside to being so little and yet always carrying so much around with her. Maybe I should see if Robert can carry my stuff around for me, was the errant thought that ran through her head, making her grin a little. I could always bribe him with more Bertie Botts. Not that she necessarily thought bribing her boyfriend was the best idea, but it certainly was entertaining. For all she knew, he'd be more apt to just pick her up entirely.

She stopped her tangent as she realized the Hufflepuff boy had spoken again, and she smiled back at him. "Elizabeth," she said. "It's nice to meet you, Torin." He definitely looked younger than her, but she couldn't quite figure out what year he was in. As far as she knew, though, she hadn't seen him the past couple terms. Not that she knew too many Hufflepuffs.

He saw her grinning about something but decided to ignore it. It wasn't any of his business.

"Nice name, Elizabeth. Pretty name for a pretty girl. And the pleasure is all mine." He smiled at her. "What House are you in?"

Elizabeth smiled again at the odd compliment about her name. Especially since, considering the names of half the other girls at Hogwarts, she always had thought hers was rather ordinary. And kind of boring, if she really wanted to think about it. But at Torin's next comment, she raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Thank you, I guess," she said awkwardly. Not something she exactly expected, and when she considered the fact she had known both Nicholai and Maddox, it was odd she was surprised. But then, she hadn't exactly been in the same position when she knew them as she was in now.

But then he went on to ask about her house, and she relaxed a bit. "I'm in Ravenclaw," she responded. As long as they stayed on inane topics like that, she shouldn't have to worry. About anyone getting hurt or anything. Or needing to extract herself before he did anything he might regret.

Sarah stood up still with tears in her eyes and went to Steven she tugged on his sleeve so that he would look down at her. "C....o....u....s....i...n." She sobbed. "S....h....e p....u...s...h...e...d" She continued to sob, she decided she needed a hug so that she could actual speek clearly, she hugged him and hoped that he would stay with her, she was scared it was a big place and she had already gotten lost like 5 time in the short time that they had been there.

Suddenly Sarah found her voice. "That girl there Nancy pushed me over when I was minding my own business on the seventh floor." She said pointing to Nancy. "And now she's going to shout and deny everything." She clung to Steven. "Do you promise she won't jinx me?" She looked upto Steven. "She looks like she could." She was scared but she wouldn't let Nancy hurt Steven.

Sarah went from behind Steven to the front of him, if anyone was going to get hurt it wasn't going to be Steven. "Nancy, why are you here?" She asked. "I'm scared, your going to jinx me, and why do you hate me so much, it's not like I have done anything to you." She looked at Nancy and hoped she would tell her why she hated her so much.

He noticed her on edge and sighed. "I'm not trying to flirt with you. I mean... I'm sorry if I seem like I am. It's just that you are pretty and seem nice." He blushed slightly. He really couldn't help it if he seemed like he was trying to flirt. He had been with Karma and Evee, but not with her. He just thought that Elizabeth was really pretty. And what if she had a boyfriend like Alice?

His mind was starting to race. He was still on edge about the kissing thing; it was making him lose his confidence. He had to take a deep breath to get a hold of himself again.

"So I guess I'm going to be your new roomie," he said smiling weakly.

Elizabeth felt bad when Torin sighed. He obviously was a fairly observant boy, and she hadn't meant to seem so tense. So she gave him a friendly smile as he explained himself. "It's okay, and thank you," she said gently. "I was just worried you'd end up hurt or something, because you seem nice too." And she quite vividly remembered last term, when the whole thing with Robert, Mari and Cayden had started. So now she wasn't exactly sure how he'd react if someone flirted with her, since everything had changed between them. Although she wasn't about to do anything to hurt Robert. And Torin was definitely too young for her anyway.

She got concerned as Torin seemed to get even more worried, although she didn't have the faintest idea what it could be, and she laughed softly as he at least managed to say something. "It certainly looks that way, doesn't it?" Since the Slytherins had ended up with the Gryffies, and now the poor Huffies were homeless too.

Robert walked down the corridor wandering aimlessly really for no reason except for once he didn't really need to be alone. As he turned the corner he started humming to himself randomly various Beatles songs. He couldn't find his albums and it was starting to worry him really but he knew all the songs by heart since they were his favourite band. Pushing the strap of his bag up higher on his shoulder he looked up and saw Liz standing in the middle of the corridor. Smirking he walked over quietly careful not to make any noise and cleared his throat as he stood directly behind her, "Now, Ms. Andrews, don't you have anywhere to be?' he said sternly trying to put on his best professors voice. Seeing the young Huffie standing there he winked and raised a finger in front of his mouth hoping he wouldn't say anything.

He was relieved to hear that everything was cool with her. He was just way too nervous and tense about Alice still. He hated being on edge.

He was about to ask her something when suddenly he saw an older looking boy come up behind her. He was tempted to say something when the boy proceeded to pretend to be a Professor, but stopped when he saw that he was to stay quiet.

He decided to watch the show.

Elizabeth continued to be concerned for the young Huffie as he continued to look on edge. He didn't look old enough to deal with that much stress, and she didn't want him to implode or anything. But before she could say anything, it looked like he was about to speak again. And then she heard someone come up behind her, trying to be quiet but not quite as successful at it as she could occasionally. Plus, she had the advantage of being able to see Torin's reaction.

When he spoke, she saw right through the attempt at impersonating a professor, and a faint smirk appeared on her face before she spoke. "Why, Mr. Chambers . . . whatever would happen if a real professor found out you were attempting to act like them?," she drawled teasingly, turning to grin at him impishly. He should know better than try to trick her. She knew him way too well. "I could ask you the same question, by the way," she added in a more normal voice, before she realized Torin was probably still there.

"Oh," she said, slightly embarrassed for forgetting the younger boy at Robert's appearance. Turning back to him, she continued speaking, introducing the other two as she practically unconsciously stepped back slightly to lean against Robert and glanced up at him. "Torin, this is Robert Chambers. Robert, this is Torin. I found him wandering up here, bored. He's a Huffie." She trailed off slightly after that, realizing she didn't know much else about her new acquaintance, and looked back at Torin, in case he wanted to volunteer anything else.
