For whatever reason she had, the small first year held onto the end of her braid, tugging lightly at it every now and then as she went, her thoughts were clearly elsewhere. Katie wasn't one to day dream, though like any other child she didn't lack an imagination. Her train of thought was always on home, though. And what was going on here. That was the worst time her imagination could get away without her, putting horrifying ideas inside her head that scared her terribly. In Katie's mind, it was much better to think about home. Footsteps coming from the distance made her stop where she was and slowly closed the gap between her and the wall, peeking around the corner to see who or what it was.

Oh, good The faint trace of a smile appeared on her lips, relieved to see it was a certain second year boy. He was always good at making her feel better, or atleast momentarily forget about her problems. Her smile brightened a little, taking small steps forward, towards him. She giggled at his growling, quite amused to say the least. "Mimicking a crup, Willie?" The little girl teased, playfully.

She giggled at his growling, quite amused to say the least. "Mimicking a crup, Willie?" The little girl teased, playfully.

Kicking a loose stone out of his way he stopped and shuffled his feet, ducking his head sheepishly before lifting his head up, frowning a bit. Had he just heard a noise? Nah it couldn't be he thought before shuffling his left foot once more and looking on the ground. A voice made him stop short though and he turned, his face lighting up as he saw Katie.

He chuckled at her comment, his face beaming as he shrugged. "I've been spending too much time with ziella." he replied cooly, smirking as he nodded in her direction. "Are you sure you're not psychic? I was just thinking of heading to the owlery to send you an owl." he explained before she could say anything. Lifting his hand he ruffled his hair up nervously chuckling. "Anyway, how are you Katie?" he asked smiling as he leaned against the wall figuring a break was needed.

D.A Forever 06-04-2009 03:04 AM

Katie giggled at his response, tsking in mock-disapproval as she shook her head. Saying sing-songishly, "That's what happens to the best of 'em when they spend too much time a creature and not enough time with their friends," as she closed most of the space between her and William, stopping some feet infront of where he stood, leaning against the cold, stone wall.

Her eyebrows rose, lips pursed until a half-smile fell into place, dark eyes sparkled with mischief. "What would you say if I was psychic?" Would he believe it? Probably not, but that wasn't going to stop her from having abit of harmless fun. Really, she was rather curious to see what he would think if she was abit different, weird even, for a witch. Would he finally react towards her the way the other boys did? The whole girls are gross and have cooties thing, but for an entirely different reason - a real reason? She sincerely hoped not, but kept her lips pressed tightly together, waiting for him to speak.

And anyway, she was glad they had run into each other this way rather than her having to deal with a bird trying to get her to untie the letter attached to it's leg. She shuddered at the thought, refraining from saying this outloud. Katie took a few more tiny steps closer so she was directly infront of Will, and reached up on her tippy toes to try smoothing his blonde hair. "You're making a mess of your hair," she informed him, plopping back down to her normal height and took a fair few small paces back, enough to where she was no longer within his personal bubble space. Katie leaned against the wall as well, folding her hands behind her back and her head resting against the cold stone, "I'm.. well," she shrugged, her smile remaining still. It wasn't so bad here, she wasn't upset as much and as often as before. "Better yet, what about you?"

Golden Monkey 06-04-2009 03:27 AM

He couldn't help but chuckle at her response and shook his head. While it was true he did spend a lot of time with his pet crup he did spend time with what little friends he had. Which admittedly weren't a lot. He wasn't very vocal, something the other guys liked it seemed, always staying to himself or in the library where he could safely think about his worries. he was trying though; but it seemed that he liked only having a few close friends, Katie among them. While he couldn't tell her everything he did talk to her when they could.

Getting back in the moment he tiled his head at her, his eyes searching her face for something. "Have I ever told you about my cousin?" he asked instead, not sure if she knew about Ari's weird ability. He wouldn't care if she was psychic, it would make her unique. As far as he knew there weren't any pyschics at Hogwarts though of course he didn't really pay much attention, he was too busy staying away from Krazy-Kazi. That though gave him the chills which he hid. Just the thought of that man and the things he had William do last term was enough for him to grab some chocolate and eat it.

She took a few steps up to him and fixed his hair for him. He stood perfectly still, not sure what to do. If he was anyone else, it would be an awkward moment but not this. "Thanks." he muttered looking up as if he could actually see his hair. Tilting his head back down to her level he smiled a bit and nodded. "Good." he replied before frowning again. he was doing that a lot lately it seemed, frowning every two minutes as he tried to remember something. "Me? I'm good; I'm actually looking for my hat. Still haven't found it." he grumbled, his eyes going mellow. He loved that hat.

D.A Forever 06-04-2009 04:03 AM

His cousin? She knew of two, both of whom she had met. Joani and then Ariana, who also happened to be a very close good friend of Savannah's; the reason she and William had met before either of them started school. But that was besides the point. Even though she knew of them, she had no idea what he was talking about. Will had never told her anything about either, and she hardly knew anything else unless she happened to hear it from Savannah or a similar reason. Katie shook her head in response, her non-verbal way of saying 'no.' "Which cousin?"

Of course, being a girl.. or maybe better yet, being Katie, she noticed the little things. Little differences in way Will acted around her to the way any other boys behaved in her presences and such, because she was beginning to pick up on how each were a bit different from the next. Will was perfectly normal around her, nothing seemed to change. Jae was the same way, but with Mat and or Cy they were just boys. Weird, anti-cootie, anti-girl boys. The only difference between them and Legend was, unlike the other two, he knew her better. Which was more often than not a bad thing, to be frank. She appreciated the fact Will could be normal around her, more than he would ever know. "No problem," She murmured back, grinning as he attempted to look up and magically see the top of his head.

A slight pout took over her smiling as his smile faded away, lips being pulled downward. Once he explained the problem, the corners of her mouth twitched, smiling slightly once more. "Well let's find it then, shall we?" She half-asked, already pushing off the wall and taking a few backward steps, waiting for William to join her. "Have you already searched this corridor?"

Too late he realized he didn't specify which cousin he meant. "Ariana. she has the ability to feel others emotions. that's why sometimes she shides away from everyone during the summer." he explained, remembering those long conversations he had with her at her place before he started school. her mentioning that there was nothing to fear with being different from everyone else. he was normal as far as he could tell. from what she had told him it wasn't hereditary so there wasn't anything to worrry about. "That's why I wouldn't care if you were psychic or not." he finished turning towards her a bit.

He watched her as she seemed to be thinking. He couldn't tell what she was thinking of but by the looks of her it must be something interesting. He was surprised he was acting so normal around her; if it were any other girl he'd be shying away and falling into himself, believing them to be the evilest of creatures. Girls were scary it was true, especially the older ones. All they seemed to think about was themselves, though there were a few exceptions to that rule. That's why he hung out with Katie and Paris, they were normal. At least Katie was as far as he could see. He didn't know Paris well enough yet to pass judgement, all he knew was she was good in a fight.

Blue eyes lit up and he nodded, "I just finished actually. I'm thinking we work our way down to the grounds, it might be on the pathway or somewhere close to that." He said moving away from the wall and stretching before following her with a soft chuckle. He led her towards the stairs, knowing she'd catch up quickly.

For Roti!! <3 <3

"...get back here now!" Nancy shouted angrily after her black and white cat as she stomped after the little hairball who apparently had no intensions whatsoever to obey her order. Well, no surprises there. Chis never did as he was told. The 14 year old didn't even mind that her screams could probably be heard throughout the entire castle judging by the way her voice was echoed off the walls. Sometimes she just hated her cat.

Ooh... He would so love the new crub she'd received from Professor Morgan the other day, though. Yes, she would so take him along to visit her crub. Hehe... Although...that might not end well for the crub as it was still a baby and Chistery could really behave like a fully grown dragon at times. Bites and hisses included. No fire, though. Thank Merlin for that. "Get back right now, Chis, or I'll lock you up in the dungeons." He would certainly love all that water down there.

Not.

Stormdancer 06-09-2009 08:19 PM

"Now, now Hudonson. Be nice." A voice said, from behind the angry blonde female. With a smirk on his face, the tall fourth-year Slytherin sauntered through the corridor towards his best friend. Steven Tamesis was in a good mood. Not only had he done the Defense homework, but he had enjoyed it and gotten eight points for it. Bonus.

"Chis..." He called out softly, as he moved to hover over the floor on his tiptoes with the fingertips of his left hand steadying him so that he didn't loose his balance. With the fingers of his right hand rubbing together and a weird coo-ing type sound coming out of his mouth, Steven grinned as Chis came sauntering back to the corridor. It was with a small cuckle that he scooped the black and white cat up into his arms. "There, Chis doesn't need to be locked up in the dungeon's now does he?" He said, as he petted the silky cat.

Nancy jumped slightly upon hearing a sudden voice behind her which she immediately recognized as Steven's, though. "Jeez, Tamesis!" She offered him a broad smirk for addressing him with his last name as well before she continued, "Did your mother not tell you to not sneak up on people like that. Especially on people like me." At that last sentence she glanced pointedly at the wand in her hand which had been vaguely directed at Chis. If you mixed clumsy and jumpy you hardly ever got any positive results.

Twirling a strand of dark-blonde hair around her finger Nancy lazily leaned against a nearby wall as she watched Steven's attempts to make Chis approach him. Yeah, right... "You know what? Forget it...he can go whereev-" -er he wants to go. I don't care. Was what she had started to say but the rest of the sentence was replaced by a simple "Oh..." of surprise. How had he done that?!

A look of pure annoyance flashed across her face as Steven actually scooped up her cat and started stroking his fur. What the-?! Her blue eyes flickering up at Steven's face Nancy's lips twitched slightly as she tried to suppress the anger that washed through her at that site: Steven with her cat in his arms. "Well, if you think so. Go ahead then, you can keep him." And with that said Nancy turned on her heels and started walking down the corridor the way she'd originally come from. She gave up. Seriously. Chistery would never accept her, nor obey her. It was useless. First Jack then Steven, he apparently preferred boys anyway.

"WHAT IS GOING ON OUT HERE?"

Caroline marched out of the hospital wing, blue eyes flashing. She stopped with her left foot on top of a particular stray piece of parchment.

"Normally, Professor, I wouldn't yell in such close proximity to my hospital, but you've managed to disturb nearly every patient in my hospital wing. So damage done," she whipered harshly. "What are you trying to do?"

Daniel followed Professor Lawson out of the Waiting Area of the Hospital Wing. He should have brought the news gently. But he was too late. As he steps out of the doorway of the Waiting Area, the loud voice of the Professor came thundering across the Third Floor.

And then there was the Healer. Daniel moved aside to let Ms. Avalon move towards Professor Lawson. Ms. Avalon he thought. She was not bit of a Tobi to me.

Oh bloody hell! He had forgotten where he was for a moment. Marcus opened his eyes slowly to see a very angry Healer in the doorway of the waiting room.

"I apologise Miss Avalon. I...uh...bad news. I just received some bad news." Wasn't that the truth. And he had just noticed that Caroline was standing on the offending parchment and he groaned inwardly. Now wouldn't that just top his day off.

Gah...he can't leave until he got that parchment back without her seeing it first. "Do you need me to help settle the kids back down?"

"Just when I stopped believing in Karma," Caroline replied with a syrupy sweetness.

"And I'm quite capable of taking care of my patients, thank you," she snapped, resisting the urge to stomp her foot.

Looking down at said foot, she saw what was beneath it, "And you can't even take care of your belongings for a few moments, it seems." She knealt down to pick up the piece of parchment.

SPOILER!!: and it just gets worse

Curiousity was both a wonderful asset and a terrible fault. This time, coupled with the fact that as a bookworm, Caroline read extraordinarily fast, she read enough of it. She wouldn't betray any emotion. Refused. The part about Ethan was threatening to do her in though. Honestly, how much was she supposed to endure? Really?

"Boasting?" she asked dryly, "I shouldn't be surprised Professor."

Daniel watch in terrified face as he looked at the Professor. He had to have that parchment back. Or at least to prevent Ms. Nosy over there from seeing it.

But he was too late. She grabbed the thing now.

Okay he had had it. He had apologised to her more than once and still she was going to go on with it. Really, he owed the woman nothing. She wasn't anything to him, they were two colleagues who had just happened to have a couple of delightful little chats.

Right and he was totally kidding himself there but his ego wouldn't allow him to apologise again and it certainly was not about to let her talk to him that way regardless of whether he was in the wrong or not.

Marcus strode over to her and snatched the parchment out of her hand. "Not that I owe you any explanations but I had nothing to do with this. And..."he pointed a finger at her..."you should keep your nose out of other people's business." He held up the piece of parchment to her. Alright so it hadn't been addressed personally to him and it was probably all over the school by now but that was not the point...to him anyway.

"Now if you don't mind Miss Avalon, I have business to attend to." And a certain red head to throttle.

Caroline ignored the boy all together, as far as she was concerned, Daniel was probably just pretending to have given it to Marcus so he could pretend it wasn't all his doing. Yeah. Sure.

"I should keep my nose out of other people's business?" Caroline repeated incredulously. "Look who is talking! I'm not the one fabricating viscious rumours about people. And I'm certainly not the one who told Anastasia Bunbury that we had some relationship she should be jealous of. I'm not the kissing fool of us either. Despite what you would have your old flame believe."

She hissed at him like an angry cat, "Or perhaps the mistake is mine; Did you kiss me and I was so underwhelmed that I forgot the whole experience?"

Ha! So there! Caroline, One. Marcus, Zero.

"It's quite alright Daniel. No harm done really." That was really a big understatement right there but it wasn't the kid's fault.

Marcus stood there calmly as she ranted at him. Really, she was very cute when she was all angry like. Her face all scrunched up and her eyes flashing daggers at him. It was simply adorable.

Oh now she really shouldn't have said that. Moving quickly because he didn't want any witnesses this time. He released his wand from his wrist holster and flicked it towards Daniel, casting a silent 'obscuro' on the boy.

With his free hand he grabbed Caroline and brought her close. "Honestly? If I kissed you Miss Avalon. You would not forget it." He was tempted, oh yes he was but he kind of cared about this one. So he let her go and turned on his heel and flicking his wand at Daniel again, to end the charm he made his way to see a certain red head or maybe he should go and see Zan. Yeah he could with a chat with his friend right now.

She might have gasped (just a tiny one) when Marcus grabbed her. Oh damn, he was quick. She was quick too, but she was too angry to focus. Her reflexes… were not awesome at the moment. She stiffened, glaring at him as he spoke. Oh try it, just try it… I hope it’s worth the pain you’ll feel.

Just as she was about to demand he put her down, he did so, and walked away. She felt lightheaded, and it infuriated her. Baiting him had been a terrible idea, as it turned out. Caroline, Zero. But Lawson didn’t get any points either. She would NOT award Marcus Lawson any points.

“You wouldn’t forget it either,” she snarled at his retreating back, but she highly doubted the lying coward actually heard her. And he wouldn’t forget it, because he’d have several broken limbs to remember her by.

Deciding she was not in a proper frame of mind to treat patients, and she needed to go take a walk, Caroline headed down the opposite end of the corridor, away from Marcus.

Daniel nodded at the Professor. This is why he admires this one. Or should he not have? Then darkness hit Daniel. He doesn't know why but a strange darkness in the middle of the day.

But in just a moments time, the darkness is gone. What he now saw is Professor Lawson going down the hallway and Healer Avalon going the other end.

She offered him a broad smirk for addressing him with his last name as well before she continued, "Did your mother not tell you to not sneak up on people like that.

Steven laughed as she jumped, but he simply smirked. "My Mother taught me nothing of the sort." He said with a laugh. "Although, I love getting a response out of you." He said, sending a playful wink her way. His eyes flitted over the wand, before deciding that there wasn't much to fear--although he might live to regret that if he voiced it allowed.

"Ha!" He said, with a large smirk as he craddled the cat lovingly in his arms and he laughed softly as Chis started to purr. "See, Chistery likes me." He said with yet another playful wink. "Awww. Come on now Love.... don't be like that." He said with a smile as he followed after her, Chis purring happily.

He followed her along the corridor with a smirk, and a slight hop in his step. "Hudonson!..." He called out, speeding up slightly, to catch her up. "Nancy!..." He called out again. "What has gotten you all riled up?!" He said, with a growl, as he stopped petting Chis for a few seconds, to latch onto her forearm. "Seriously! This can't be Chis' fault."

See, Chistery likes me. Nancy snorted barely audibly upon hearing Steven's rather smug statement. Yeah, you're awesome, I'm not, I get it. Somehow everyone and everything annoyed her lately. It was probably just her but somehow she was under the impression that the whole break-up between Paris and Steven only complicated things. Somehow. Why, she had absolutely no idea. Nancy had felt quite relieved at first, again she had no idea why as she really liked both Paris and Steven, but now it...well, complicated things. Meh...

Nancy actually stopped and whirled around as she heard Steven running and calling after her but, clumsy as she simply was, couldn't manage to do it without touching a nearby suit of armor which, fortunately, for once did not topple over. It only swayed slightly, regaining its balance. Thank Merlin...

Now, back to Steven. "You want to know what-" Nancy trailed off as all of a sudden she was distracted by something. Something which turned out to be a parchment. She quickly bent down to pick it up while muttering a "Wait...shut up for a minute, Steven!" Now, what the heck was that?! Upon scanning through the text on the parchment Nancy's eyes grew wider and wider until she'd read the last few sentences and burst out laughing. "Oh, you need to look at that!" She exclaimed between giggles as she handed the parchment to her best friend, all signs of her prior annoyance gone. "Playboy, eh?!"

Sarah had somehow lost Jake Upstead maybe it was because he was going so fast that her little legs couldn't keep up with him. She looked around wondering if she was anywhere near the Hufflepuff Common room but by the looks of things she was back to square one, which was right in the middle of nowhere. She was so sad she just slumbed against the wall and started to cry. She hated how big this place was and she realy wanted to see her parents again but knew she couldn't since they had died. She looked around the corridor and saw that it was empty with her head in her lap she started to cry.
