Reed held back the shocked look that he wanted to give when Natasha said that she was a second year. He knew that she had been younger but he hadn't expected her to be that much younger. "Wow I have to give you your credit" He told her, "I would have thought that you were older" He said with a small laugh. She was very mature for her age, but then again girls matured sooner. "I'm a fifth" He said to her with a nod. He still coudldn't get over the fact that she was only a second year though. |
"Give me credit?" Natasha asked Reed, seeming surprised. "Oh, would you? Why is that?" She asked, giving him a smile. Though she had been told that she was mature before. "So, your doing Owls, then?" She asked him. That would definitely mean quite a bit of work on his part. |
"Well you're extremely mature for a second year. Especially for a Slytherin" He said jokingly sticking his tounge out at her about the second part. "I'm just kidding. But seriously you are very mature." He said with a nod of his head. THen she asked about OWLS. He had been trying to avoid thinking about that. He had always hated doing school work especially things like that. "unfortunately" He mumbled. He was not looking forward to the OWLS, not in the least. |
"Well, I think someone has told me that before." She said with a nod. "Hey!" She said, rolling her eyes with a grin as he said for a Slytherin. "That's not very nice for a Hufflepuff." Natasha said somewhat childishly. "Yeah, I know. I was kidding, too." Reed really was rather nice. "Yeah, I'm not too looking forward to it." At least she had another three years before that, though. "Do you have any favorite classes, then?" |
"What can i say..." Reed said laughing as they were both talking about the houses. Natasha was fun. He reminded him alot of Colleen. Then she asked if he had a favorite class and couldn't help but let out a little chuckle. "you have got to be joking" he said with a smile. "I can't say that I have ever had a favorite anything that had to do with learning" He admitted to her. "what about you. I'm sure you have one that you really enjoy?" |
Natasha laughed lightly. She liked talking to Reed, he was friendly, and funny. "Ah, I thought that might be the case. You don't exactly seem to be fond of things like learning, do you?" A smile formed on her lips. "Is there one that isn't as bad as the rest? Or, perhaps, one that is worse than the others?" She asked him curiously. "Yes, well, three, mostly. I like Charms, Arithmancy and Transfiguration quite a bit." |
Reed had never really thought about that question. He had never picked out one that wasnt as bad as the rest because to him they all had an equal disgusting factor about them. "Well I'm best at Ancient Runes, if that answers your question." he knew it wasn't excactly what she asked but he didn't like any of them at all. "Arithmancy is by far the worst though" THat was an easy question to answer. He couldn't help but grin. He just hated education. |
"Oh, yeah." She said with a nod. "I sorta like that one too - but I kind of like a lot of classes." She said to Reed with a sheepish grin. She was just like that. Natasha smiled. "Do you like Quidditch?" She asked curiously. Some people considered that as a class, though it wasn't really... Well, it didn't have anything to do with education, at least. |
Quidditch.... now there was something that he could talk about. "Love it" He told her with a wide grin. It was true. He loved playing. Although he didn't want to play for Hogwarts. "Every year at the manor in France we always have some sort of tournament type deal" he told he her. This year they were all meeting at Jordan's house instead of his parents and Reed was hoping that they would keep that tradition going. It was one that he enjoyed very much. "And you?" He asked. |
She grinned, he seemed rather enthusiastic about Quidditch. "France?" She asked him with evident curiosity. She had, after all, never been out of England before. "That sounds really fun," said Natasha, looking at Reed. "Yeah, I love Quidditch, and flying." She said with a nod. |
It didn't surprise Reed when Natasha said that she like flying. She didn't really seem like one of those girls that stayed cooped up indoors all the time. He always liked it when girls weren't afraid to do sports. He heard her enthusiasm when he mentioned France. "Yes, I lived in Spain until I was twelve and my dad remarried. Then we moved to france with my step mom and her family. Actually right now I'm living with one of my older step sister when I'm not here at school" he told her. |
"That sounds... Really cool." She said with a grin. "What are Spain and France like? I've never been out of England, you see." She said to Reed. "I just live with my two parents and the woman who like, looks after everything in my house, and stuff. Until not that long ago, now my cousin lives there, too." She said. |

Natasha listened interestedly as he said about Spain, and seeing his mother. You never really knew what to say to that, so the best thing would probably just be nothing at all, right? "So, does your sister leave permanently in France, then? And do you go there in the summer?" She looked at Reed curiously, it seemed he was more comfortable talking about that. "I'm sure I will. It'd be amazing to go there, if I ever do, and I'd love to see what it's like." |
Reed gave her a smile as she seemed curious about Jordan. "Ok let me give you a brief family history" He said with a grin. It was pretty safe to say that Reed was talkative, especially when it came to the Paiges. "My dad and step mom now live in France. My oldest step sister Jordan also has her own place there, and works for the Prophet. She's nineteen and instead of living with my dad I live with her. Then there is Camryn who is 18. She works for the Australian ministry and has her own place there. Colleen is the last Paige girl and she's 17 and in her last year at Beauxbatons. She lives with Jordan too, until she gets her own place this summer. My twin sister Baylie lives with my parents but during the summer all of the kids congregate at Jordans" He explained to her. Wow that was really long but oh well. |
Natasha listened to Reed with a smile, that certainly was more then she ever had to tell about her own family, anyway... "That sounds fun - living there, I mean. And then getting together with your family, and stuff." She said. "So, did you just decide to go to Hogwarts, then?" She asked Reed curiously. |
"Well kind of..."Reed admitted to her. "I had been going to school in Spain until my fourth year" He said. "Then when I movedm to France, I couldn't go to Beauxbatons and since Jordan had come to Hogwarts she talked my father into it" He really did like it here, apart from the learning and all, but hey he only had two more years of that. |
"So you've just been here for two terms? Like me." Except for the fact that he was about three years older than her. It depended whether he was still fifteen or sixteen, though, as she was thirteen now. "Well, asides from the academic, which any school would have, I'm sure," she grinned at Reed at this. "Are you glad your at Hogwarts?" |
Sarah walked into the third floor corridor she had been realy busy lately, and hadn't seen anyone of her family for ages, she hoped that they were alright and she then decided that she would try and find one of them and ask them how they were, but she had no idea where they would be. She looked around the Third floor corridor to see if they were here but she couldn't found them so she decided that she would have to go look somewhere else. |

As she was now walking down the third floor corridor, making herself believe that she was only searching for Chis due to the above reason and not because she missed him, Nancy's blue eyes suddenly fell on somebody who was standing just a few feet away from her. Somebody she had actually hoped to never be forced to see again. Somebody who was related to Steven. Sarah. Should she just quickly turn around and go the other way? Maybe she had not yet heard her footsteps and she could get out of this without another confrontation with the Hufflepuff girl. Although...why should she run away from her. She had not done anything wrong after all. So...just continue walking like nothing was out of the ordinary. |

"Yea a few" Reed told her with a grin. He actually had a cretain one inpariticular on his mind but.... well that was not something he should think about right now. "What about you any family here?" He asked curiously. It seemed like just about everyone did. Stupid Jordan being four years older than him. |
"I've got one cousin, that's it." Natasha said. That was probably all there'd ever be, but she didn't mind all that much. "She's a sixth year, Hufflepuff; Tamzin Wood." She told Reed with a grin. |
