"I don't really know." Celandine answered thoughtfully, "I... would prefer to live for someone that I loved rather than die. And if you loved someone wouldn't you rather they lived than died too? I think... Romeo was selfish and too rash. Juliet seemed more willing to throw away everything she knew than what Romeo was. Maybe... she loved him and he was just infatuated? I... don't know. How do you tell the difference?"

Celandine looked at Copernicus expectantly. He had all the answers after all.

"Maybe infatuation is selfish and all about you and what the other person can do for you, but love is... unselfish?" With Cela all snuggled against him and turned to look up at him, Cope couldn't help but kiss the center of her forehead. Oh. EEK.

"Ahem. Anyway. My favorite color is blue. And I don't eat many sweets, but I do like apples. I suppose my favorite sweet thing..." Cope ran through his limited knowledge of sweets. Chocolate frogs? Jelly slugs? "Is you." Hehe.

"Infatuation is an idea and love is a reality?" Cela suggested, letting out a little sigh when Cope kissed her forehead and almost immediately looking around to see if there was anyone nearby. There were a few people but they all seemed to be in their own little worlds.

"Blue. Apples. Me... me?" Celandine stared for a moment and finally let out a little giggle, "I taste like candy pretty much all the time since I eat so much of it. Or... I used to. Not so much lately." Odd. But true.

Cassirin 06-30-2009 04:12 AM

Cope looked around toooooo. Would someone jump on him for kissing her forehead in public? Remove his lips from his face by force? Chastise him for stealing his brother's girl and then flaunting it? Copernicus hoped he wouldn't always be watching over his shoulder for someone to disapprove.

"You taste like water, as I recall. Or..." He gave her a speculative look and then immediately focused on the corridor in front of them. "Don't rightly know how you taste anymore. You were always a little bittersweet before... when kisses reminded me of who I was wronging."

Mood breaker.

"Mmm. Water. Right." Celandine thought about it for a moment and looked right back. "Don't you think you'd still be reminded?" Could anyone let that go? Cela wasn't sure.

"I loathe myself for what I did to Plymouth, for... making things hard between the two of us," Copernicus scuffed his feet at the tiles. "I miss him. But I can separate the two, what I did to Plymouth and what happens when I'm around you. And the regardless of how it happened, you aren't his anymore. You aren't anyone's."

"I'm my own." Celandine pointed out, lifting her chin, though her expression was softer than her tone.

She let the silence grow before asking, "What happens when you are around me?"

Rachel replied with a small wink and a giggle. It was good that the colour blue suited her... because if it didn't she would just simply have to switch houses due to the fact that she wore blue every single day. "Aww - your poor back. Perhaps I cou- WHAT?" the fifth year blinked in astonishment at his words and had a flashback to one of those rare evening when Jake and her had talked relationships.

'Girls always wear whatever makes them look thin - which really isn't fair for the guys, if you think about it. Sure they're nice to look at, but some of them even charm themselves to appear thinner too so that when you get together with one you can never know whether she's really hot or just pretending to be,' Jake had said and Rachel had intervened with a dry comment about how guys should attempt to use their little brains and try to get the girl who has the best personality. To which her uncle had replied with a smirk and shrug of his shoulders. 'I've found the easiest way to tell whether girls are faking it or not - catch them with a trip jinx and save them from the fall. If, when you lift them, they're heavier than you expected - you got yourself a poster.'

Jake could be an idiot sometimes - but to her sorrow and annoyance Rachel could not deny the logic behind his words.

Weakling huh? Rachel didn't add anything to his comment, wanting an explanation to his 'heavy' one first before she will begin hitting him with a book. Which she would have to summon, she suddenly realised, since she didn't have her bag with her. Eh well - I'll use my VERY STRONG fists.

"Erm, well," the fifth year thought about where to go, then realised that she didn't really have much time to spend with him anyway. All the moping she had been doing lately because of Reid had taken it's toll on her efficiency and now she was a bit behind (she calls it that - normal people call it insane dedication) on her homework.

"How about we head up to the seventh floor and sit on a bench there? Both our common rooms - or temporary ones, anyway - are on that floor," she said, not willing to tell him now that their meeting will be cut short. Maybe they could study together next time... Go to the library, find a quiet secluded spot, study and have fun at the same time... It sounded VERY nice.

Stepping back slightly in well hidden fear Reid looked at Rachel and rethought what he had said. So maybe joking that it was her weight that hurt him wasn't the best idea and he scrambled decided to apologise quickly. "I was just joking, it definitely isn't your weight, your actually lighter than I expected. I think I just hurt my back when we fell or something." he admitted honestly in a calm and collected voice.

Reid really hoped that that explanation would pacify her somewhat as he was a little scared that she'd summon a book and hit him with it. Not a very pleasant experience as he knew from past times where one of his friends had hit him repeatedly with their Arithmancy Textbook. Apparently telling someone that their boyfriend was cheating on them wasn't the best idea... Redirecting his attention to Rachel he smiled at her in a sort of sad way.

"I suppose your suggesting the seventh floor means that our time is nearly up?" he asked in a slightly questioning tone, already knowing the answer to that question. She probably had to get back to the homework that she was uber fanatical about. Instead of complaining about that though Reid simply held out his hand hoping that she would take it.

"Riiiiiight..." Rachel replied, crossing her arms over her chest as she eyed Reid suspiciously. She wanted to say, 'Nice save, Mister' and it almost slipped out of her tongue but she swallowed it in quickly since it would be admitting that she believed him. Which she didn't. Yet.

Shrugging slightly, the fifth year finally decided that she would let him go this once and grinned up at him - then proceeded to burst out laughing as she caught sight of the expression on his face. Through her giggles she prided herself on the fact that she seemed intimidating enough to trigger such an expression out of a taller, older male. Girl power!

Her amusement soon died down though at Reid's next question. Sighing, she shuffled her feet a bit and looked down at her shoes as she tried to think of a nice way to reply to that. "Well... Yeah. But; I would not be lying if I said that I would be glad to walk extremely slowly up the stairs," Rachel said, smiling slightly as she noticed her bruised ankle. It still looked mighty impressive and useful for making up excuses as to why she would suddenly be walking at the speed of a particularly lethargic turtle.

"Dun laugh at me," Reid said in a childish tone while pouting and looking sad. The overall effect was that he looked about as adorable as a three year old and lost all maturity he may have gained as he aged. He also probably lost some of the respect Rachel had given him but that couldn't be helped.

"Well then I suppose we should get started. If we plan on walking slowly reaching the seventh floor may take a while." Reid said, glancing down at her ankle at the exact time that Rachel herself did. It would work as a great excuse for why their pace was so slow. I wonder if she'll let me put my arm around her and pretend to support her.

Please come to my office for tea Tuesday at 7 pm and we will discuss the matter further." Kazimeriz nodded to the girl. "I suspect that you would do well to return to your common room and study. "Thank you professor," Aislynn said rather giddy. "Thank you very much!" She did what she was told and was looking forward to her meeting on Tuesday.

As walked into the corridor carrying Piper - how would this look to an outsider that didn't know that the girl just smashed herself on the floor in front of him - he noticed the Hospital Wing was closed. What in the Merlin's name... he had absolutely no luck. On his day off he just happen to stumble across two crazy kids, one throws herself on his way, the other one chat's his brain to boredom.

He said things under his breath a lady was not supposed to hear, ever.

He walked near a column and placed Piper by it's feet. He looked at her for a few moments deciding what to do. I can leave her here, he thought. Well that's just cruel, he counter thought. After a few minutes he spoke.

"I can fix you that. Or at least I think I can. Do you want me to?"
he said simply. Looking at her. She has nice eyes, he though, uncommon colour. Yes and she's as old as my little sister.... This is what it happens when you grew bigger than the level you're supposed to be in. He waited for little Piper to say something

Piper was dead silent on the way to the hospital wing, she had even made her breathing quiet. Not an easy feat really, and she currently felt lightheaded. However much to her shock and surprise the Hospital wing was closed. She felt her heart drop to her feet, Dear Merlin why did this have to happen? She wondered to herself as she felt the boy stick her by a column..

She had heard his swearing and she had bitten her lip, she was attempting to not cry. This boy was so mean, that she didn't want to say anything else for fear of incurring his wrath. She waited perched on the column as he seemed to wonder what to do with her for a few minutes. She barely took a breath, really he could probably leave her, and she would be stuck... She was biting her lower lip as she waited.

However when he spoke, she gave a quiet sigh of relief and she nodded. She didn't dare speak, for the truth was, she was completely and utterly frightened of him. She stood super still not moving at all, just waiting..

Jojogali 07-13-2009 11:35 PM

Luke suddenly noticed that Piper was terrified of him Merlin, she didn't even dare to talk to him. I must really be a treat, he though.

He kneeled for the second time on that day and pushed the sleeves of his shirt up he took Piper ankle on his left hand.

"Hm... my name is Luke" he said, not looking at her. He wasn't quite sure he was trying to be nice to her but he was afraid she would start crying again now because of him. He touched her ankle with the tip of his wand very carefully and murmured the spell he had been taught to fix broken bones.

He let his body go back and sat on the floor with his legs crossed, in front of Piper, waiting for the spell to do it's charm.

Piper watched without talking as the boy knelt in front of her. She watched him as he pushed up his sleeves and prepared himself to work on her ankle. She was super nervous but she didn't say anything of course. She didn't want this Slytherin to hex her to china..

Luke?? His name was Luke? Why did that seem like a nice name, she had pictured something like Blade, or Steel.. some tough mean name like that, not Luke.. "Hello Luke.." She whispered softly, not wanting to break his concentration, and she was too scared of him to say anything else.

She closed her eyes tightly as he worked on her ankle, and she could feel something working in there, it hurt alot, but she just clamped her mouth and eyes shut, and though she turned a nice shade of white, she didn't pass out.

Finally the pain went away, and though her color wasn't back, she moved her ankle, there was no pain, and she put some weight on it, first a little than alot.. It was healed!

She turned her scared violet eyes toward him and smiled tightly. "Thanks very much.." Her voice was shaking. " I'm sorry to disturb your day.. I'll be on my way now.."

Jojogali 07-13-2009 11:55 PM

Luke wanted to roll his eyes at Piper. He knew the spell hurt when it worked but he was hoping she didn't almost pass out. She was as white as a sheet of paper.

"You should eat something"
he threw at her as she got up "it will help you restore your energies".

He nodded absently as she thanked him. He didn't do that so she was keen on him now, he just did it because it was the least he could do so she didn't had nightmares about him AND her ankle was hurt and there was no one to help her.

He stood up to his full 70 inches and unrolled his sleeves. " Cya " he simply said and turned his back on her, going downstairs to his dormitory.

Ooc: I'll be going ZZzzz now :D * maybe we'll bump into each other tomorrow ;D

Reed was walking down the third floor corridor. He was bored and needed something to do so why not walk around the school. Actually there were tons of better things that he could be doing, but what ever. Seeing as how he barely knew anyone at the school and had only been here two years (even though he was a fifth year) He still wasn't that familer yet.

He looked around to see if he saw anyone but the hall was deserted. Oh well he just kept walking thinking off into his own world.

Natasha walked sown the corridor, at a loss of where to go now. She sighed as she thought about Tammy, it felt like she hadn't seen her for a century. She'd just have to try and find her... Sometime. Natasha looked around thoughtfully, and saw a boy.

... Wait, was that someone she recognized? She looked at him for a moment or two, and remembered, months ago, when she had talked to him. She smiled. "Hey."

Reed heard footsteps in the corridor and turned to see where they were coming from. He saw a girl that was younger than himself. she looked fairly familer. He was trying to remember if he had ever seen her before. Then it hit him he had met her a few months ago.

He tried to remember her name. Natalie, Nicole??? No "Hey there" He told her with a friendly smile. "Natasha right?" He asked. he was pretty sure that was right. He sure hoped so. That would be awful if he got her name wrong.

"Mm-Hm," she nodded, confirming when he checked her name. It was slightly surprising he could remember it, after quite a few months, and having talked only once, but - Still. Wait... What was his name, again? Didn't it start with R? - Reed, that was it! Wasn't it? "You're Reed, right?" She checked, just in case.

getting off for the night but I will reply tomorrow

So he had been right! Well it looked like his memory was doing a whole lot better than it used to. Apparently hers wasn't all that bad either. "You got it" He said giving her a smile. It had been quite a while since he had seen her. "So how are you?" He asked her, making small talk. It wasn't something that Reed was particualarily good at, but hey he would give it his best shot.

She smiled, lad she had been right. It really would've been embarrassing if she'd called him Rider... Or something like that. "I'm good." Natasha said with a nod. Nothing exactly exciting had happened recently, or anything, but she was still good. "How about you? Adjusting alright to being with the Ravenclaws?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. She remembered that he was in Hufflepuff now. She had also had to move in with the Gryffindors, but she was fine with it, and rather liked being there.

DancingThroughLife 07-15-2009 12:08 PM

Reed gave her a smile. "Yes I'm good, I've been cooped up studying and such lately." He said with a shrug of his shoulders. Jordan had been right, the school was awesome but the studying wasn't. "So what year are you in again?" He asked her. His guess was like a second or third. But then again one could never be sure.

Winter Dreams 07-17-2009 02:02 AM

"Yeah, I know what you mean... Kinda." Natasha smiled. She had had a fair bit of work recently, but she assumed that Reed had been doing more, being a... Wait - she didn't know what year he was in, did she? "I'm a second year," she said. "How about you?" She asked Reed curiously.
