Chris listened and took a drink of his butterbeer as Chalice talked about having a boyfriend or not. He then smiled at her. "It's ok Chalice you dont have to have one right now, you will mee tthe perfect guys omeday." he smiled brightly at his friend.

"Thanks Chris. I hope you're right." Chalice said with a huge smile for her friend. "Sorry, you shouldn't have had to listen to that. I get carried away when I [I]actually[I] have someone to talk to." she said. Chalice hadn't exactly told Chris about her time with her dad, or that she kicked him out, or that she had her aunt put a bunch of spells on the house to keep the bum out, or that she had discovered a new way to see those that you truely love.

"It's fine!" Chris said laughing a bit. "You know me I ramble sometimes when i talk and you are nothing compared to Lizzie the Queen of Ramblers." he laughed. He always teased Lizzie about rambling when she talked.

"Thanks, you know me. I hate to burden people." Chalice said with a weak smile. "You don't ramble very often." she told him. "Hey, I remember a time when you thought that Lala's rambling was cute. Mr. Chris." Chalice said laughing. She hoped that it wouldn't be wierd, now that Chris has dated two of her friends, and niether relationship worked out very long.

"You arent a burden." he smiled at her making sure she was ok. She was definatley thinking about something.

"I still do think its cute and funny. Even though me and Lizzie arent together I still love her like my friend. The same way I love you Chalice, you two are pretty much by best abd longest friends." he said smiling. Freya was too but she was no longer at school. He did miss her though.

"Thanks, means alot." Chalice said. She could tell that he knew she was thinking deeply about something. "Really? You still do?" she asked in disbelief. "I love you too Chris. You are my first friend here at Hogwarts, you and Lizzie were there for me from the beginning." she said, tears welling up in her eyes. "You're gonna make me cry!" Chalice said with a small laugh.

"Of course I still love Lizzie as a friend. Did you think that just becaue we broke up we wouldnt still be friends?" He laughed a bit as she got teary eyed as he said these things to her. "Im sorry I didnt want to make you cry. I am glad Im your friend Cha."

"Not exactly, but she's really quite broken up about it. I figured that it would be kinda awkward for a while." she said. "Don't laugh at me." Chalice said as sh wiped the tears out of her eyes. "No problem, it's just nice to know that I always have people I can turn to." she said shaking her head. "I'm glad that we are friends too Chris. Really, really glad."

Chris shook his head in agreement. "Well yeah it wil be a bit awkward but that is understandable. But I hope we can put back feelings of anger and sadness so we can spend as much time as we can as friends." he said hopefully.

"Oh well then we will always be there for you." he said giving her a hug.

"Yeah, understandable." Chalice agreed. "I hope you can too. I mean, I don't want two of my besties not getting along. I think you will stay good friends." she said. "Oh, I hope so." Chalice said as she hugged Chris back, a tear rolling down her cheek and on to his shirt. "Sorry, I think I got a tear on your shirt." she said wiping her eyes again.

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever."she said, in spite of herself though, she smiled happily. She had to admit....that even with his manners...she couldn't help but love him. She'd just have to get over it. Sigh.....but having him...made it a bit easier.

Lucky for her, she didn't look to bad....otherwise she probably wouldn't have been dancing infront of people.....well maybe since it was with Kel. When he twirled her, her hair spinned around, and she couldn't help but giggle with excitement as she did that. It was fun to dance. "I guess not....but it was just a twirl."she stated, winking at him.

She bristled as Bunbury turned with a slight wince. She was standing stock still in preparations of a Bunbury lashing, but she looked totally bewildered. "Yeah I ordered this for you and it just came this morning." she told her as she held up the box for her to read.

She nodded. "Sure thing Professor," she told her trying hard to not be sarcastic. She wasn't a saint but she was trying. And this was the first step. If there was one person in Hogwarts that loved fashion as much as Paris did it was Professor Bunbury and Paris had cried for days after the common flooded and she lost her wardrobe, so she could only guess how bad Professor Bunbury was feeling. Paris had the money and the means to replace her wardrobe in a manner of months. She didn't think that Bunbury had that sort of money.

She was afraid that Professor Bunbury would give her a smart remark and think she was trying to be funny by getting her something. Paris for once was actually just trying to be nice to her. She knew that she couldn't make up for the two years of disdain she had for the woman, and granted Professor Bunbury wasn't the warmest person, but Paris did want to try and be nice to ht woman. She walked in behind her tucking the box. under her arm. "For you Professor," she smiled holding out the box for her.

"Do you want more than a twirl?" Kel asked, swaying to the side as he smirked at Jenn. Without waiting for an answer, he pulled her into an elegant dip, then back upright. He had no clue where this sudden surge of confidence had come from, but he didn't want it to leave.

"I'm more than just twirls, you know." he told her, twirling her again. "I can do a lot of dances. Slow dances are the best, but I can also do the Salsa...the swing...tons." he winked at her before dipping her again.

Chalice saw Paris out of the corner of her eye. "Hey Paris!" she said. "Want to come join us?" she asked her jesturing to Chris. "Three butter beers please." she said to the bartender. Chalice handed a galleon and a sickel and took the drinks. She gave one to Chris, put one in front of herself and held the other up in the air, as if to say, "Come get it, it's yours."

She was about to say somthing when all of a sudden she was put in a dip. She giggled again, and a wide smile was on her face. "This is giggle fun."she said, smiling. It was really, really fun.

She couldn't help it. She was probably giggling more than she had in ages. But she was having a lot of fun with Kel. "Salsa huh? I agree though, slow dances are more fun."she said, nodding. "I've done the Salsa and the swing and the Cha-Cha and other dances too. You can thank my mum for that."

The redhead's hands were practically twitching with curiosity but she stuffed them inside her jacket's pockets instead. Gotta play it cool....and who knew, Captain Greenwood liked to experiment so maybe it was coated with poison or something. It would be smart to not touch it just yet.

"Why.....why would you order something for me?" Annie wondered quietly, staring at the box again. "I mean, you know, professors aren't to accept bribes....from students..." emphasis on students, since she had accepted that necklace from Ethan without hesitation.

"How did you know my birthday was coming up?" the redhead continued rambling to herself, not reaching out for the box yet. "Or does this have something to do with those tiger lilies you wanted to roar? Is there a dangerous and illegal breed of tiger lily in that box?" There had to be a reason for Paris Greenwood trying to give Anastasia Bunbury a box.

But what was in the box???!

She looked at her. "I would have to start coming to your class and doing the homework before I asked for a bribe Professor," she pointed out to her. There would be no point in trying to bribe her right now.

She held the box out for her. "I didn't know your birthday was coming up to be perfectly honest, and no it doesn't have anything to do with the tiger lilies." She giggled. Why was everyone to quick to believe the worst in her, but never the good. Professor Vindictus had thought she locked him in his office and then flooded it and now Professor Bunbury thought she was trying to kill her or something. She sighed. "I know when your office got flooded you lost most of your clothes, and you love fashion as much as I do so I thought maybe this jacket could be the start of your new wardrobe. Its hot off the runway in fact." She told her with a smile.

Torin listened to Bunbury and pretended to be genuinely sad for the shoes that would never be the same. "Professor, could I try with the shoes and see if I can get them good as new again?" And he would also get her new ones for Christmas. And her Birthday was coming up soon enough too.

Cutting across the girl who had interrupted his time with Bunbury, he added, "Professor, want me to order you a drink? What do you want?"

Alright, so maybe Paris had a point there. Or multiple points, as she answered every one of Bunbury's questions.

"I do love fashion." Probably more than you. Annie nodded and decided to take the box for once. She carefully took the lid off and then gasped happily. Oh Merlin, a coat. A real nice one....lovely color....gorgeous material, she could tell. She did tell, by reaching out a stroking a sleeve.

"Miss Greenwood...." Bunbury had to swallow her pride as she looked up from the jacket to the girl. Could she have been wrong in her first, second, and third impressions of the girl? "Thank you. It is hot off the runway." She'd been hoping for something similar - maybe a bit longer - for a birthday present actually. "This was very, very thoughtful of you. It's...well...are you sure there's no strings attached?"

The redhead carefully pulled the jacket out of the box and held it up, wanting to swish it around a little but hesitating. What if it still had some charm on it that would choke her when she tried to wear it?

Shoes, she would be needing shoes to go along with the coat now. "Hmm, Torin?" Anastasia tore her attention away from the jacket for a minute to blink at the boy. "Are you as good at charms as you are at Herbology?" She chuckled.

"And yes, a drink would be lovely," Bunbury went back to staring at the jacket. "Gillywater for me, please."

He grinned at Professor Bunbury and said, "Yes, I am. I'll have your shoes looking as good as new in no time." Secretly, he was thinking that he needed to cross all his fingers and toes to be able to even pull it off. But he wanted to impress her.

Then she said she wanted a Gillywatter. "Yes, Professor," he added as he quickly got up and ordered her drink.

When he came back a few minutes later he handed it to her and said, "I hope this warms you up." He didn't like to see Professor Bunbury cold.

She turned her head slightly and blinked at Torin for a few moments, not certain what the boy meant by a gillywater 'warming you up.' Was he dense? Gillywater was a cool drink, meant to be sipped and enjoyed slowly. It wasn't a frothy, bubbly, hot butterbeer. Merlin.

"Have you ever tried a gillywater, Mr. Kane?" the redhead inquired calmly, admiring the clarity of the beverage in her hand. "Or a firewhiskey, for that matter? Now that is a drink that will warm you up, silly boy, not a gillywater."

He turned slightly red as she started talking to him like she thought he was an idiot.

"Well, I'm new here, Professor. We don't have Firewhiskey where I'm from and I never tried gilly water, so I have no idea what they are like."

He bit his lip slightly, hoping that she wasn't going to think that he was a complete idiot now.

Bunbury wrinkled her nose slightly. Was the boy from Mars? Firewhiskey was found all over the world! All over! She would know! Preposterous.

"Ah, hmmm," was all the redhead responded. It wouldn't have been appropriate for her to offer him a sip of her beverage, would it? In the name of education?

Better not. "What are you drinking, Mr. Kane?" Anastasia asked instead, shifting slightly in her seat to better blink at the boy.

He sighed as she still thought he was nuts. But he would have to deal. Maybe he could make up for it during the next Herbology class.

"Butter beer, Professor," he added shrugging. At least he knew what that drink was.

"That's.....good..." Anastasia nodded slowly and had another sip of her gillywater. This was getting awkward now. She had her drink, she had that weird - but very beautiful - jacket from Paris, and she had shopping to do still.

But it was cold out there and warm in here. "How are your other classes going? Did your, uh, Arithmancy turn out alright?" Bunbury asked politely, recalling that Torin had needed her birth date for something.
