He snuggled her, trying not to be awkward about it because she needed snuggles, after all...
"I... I guess at some level I knew that," he mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck. "She figured out before I did that... I had a crush on her. I thought I was allergic... to girls..." He blushed. "I'm not that smart, apparently, if I can believe things like that."
His fingers twisted in the hem of his tee-shirt; he stared resolutely at them, too embarrassed to look at Miss Kayla. There was possibly already another girl, but he wasn't ready to admit that just yet. He wasn't sure if it was really... like like or just friends. It was... vexing. He shifted slightly when she smooched him on the forehead, face burning.

These were probably the only two boys who could make her soft like she was, they seem to just bring out her protective and caring side. Who knew she had one? "Just be her friend Raiden, I think that is the best you can do for her at the moment. Everyone needs their friends at times like these."

Yay, hug back! Woooooot! "Yes I do," Jake replied, nodding and yawning juuuuuust a little. Right at that minute... riiiiiiight then... something compelled Jake to just... say.
"Kayla," he said quietly, looking up at her. "Kayla... I... It's... I want them to hate me," he admitted, wild eyes staring up. "I want them to be angry at me... I don't know why, but I NEED them to be angry at me."
And then, as if nothing had happened, Jake bowed his head again and continued with the hugging.
