Dani pointed her wand at Jakes head, hoping she wouldn't mess up. It was a good thing he had closed his eyes or he would have seen the not-so-confident look on her face. "Aguamenti!" She remembered it from a book she had read. A stream of water sprayed all over Jakes head. She did it a couple times but soon the Jame was gone.

She pulled him into a big hug. He was soaking wet, but she didn't care. "You're okay." She whispered to him.

Clark ran back through the hallway. "PDA police!" he shouted, then ran through the door at the other end of the hallway.

Of course, he managed to run through the hug. *evillaugh*

BRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! That was COLD! Like... freezing.

And THAT was an overreaction.

Jake stood still for a moment, looking at Dani, a sad look in his eyes. It wasn't until he became enveloped in a hug and Dani started whispering, that the floodgates opened. A single tear ran down his cheek, and then... he was sobbing. "Make them stop... make them go away..."

Dani was going to kill Clark Landers. But for now, Jake was crying. She patted his shoulder. "I'll make them stop, I promise." She wasn't sure what to do. She was supposed to take him to see the healer, but not yet. She just held him, hoping that it would help. "They won't get you. I won't let them." Clark was not helping the situation. She wished that there was someone there to help.

Lucas was feeling quite lonely so he thought of having a walk. He just had an urge to go to the 4th floor. He saw two people there , a girl and a boy. They were in a kind of hug. He walked towards them and when he came closer he then realised that it was Dani and she was not hugging the pink-haired-boy. She was holding him up.

"Hey what's happened Dani? Everyting alright?" He asked her.

"Th-th-thaankkk... y-you..." Jake stammered, squeezing the girl in a niiiiiiice big Jake hug (the best kind going around ). He kind of knew, in the back of his mind, that something was seriously UP in his mind, and that he wasn't making logical sense... but the back of his mind was not something he usually listened to.

And then... someone else was here.

It was one of them.

"NOOOOO!" Jake exclaimed, throwing himself backwards.

"Jake it's okay." She ran over to where he had thrown himself. "It's just Lucas. He's my older brother." She laughed a little. "He's not one of them." She whispered, trying to calm him down. She sat down next to him and hugged his shoulders.

Looking up at Lucas she said. "He isn't feeling good."

He didn't say anything, couldn't, not really. The best way to get out of this situation was to just shut up and calm down. And so, Jake nodded. He nodded, and he leaned back, grinding his palm against the side of his head. Snap out of it... Snap OUT of it.

Haha, not feeling good. That's an understatement. "I'm s-s-sorry, Dani," he muttered, looking down at his feet and leaning into the hug.

Dani just sat there with him for a little, running her fingers through his hair like he was a scared little kid, which he was. "It's okay Jake." Something was wrong. She didn't know who to go to though, so she just sat there with him. Maybe Lucas would know what to do. She looked up at him with a pleading expression in her eyes. Then she looked back at Jake, trying to catch his eye. "You're going to be fine. Ok?" At least he wasn't completely freaking out now. That made her happier.

The only possible thing Jake could think of saying, was sorry. But he'd already said that, right? Saying it twice would only take away its affect, make it seem less sincere. "I want to be normal," he said to the girl, looking straight up into her eyes. Sighing, he just sat back and let Dani play with his hair, shutting his eyes.

Dani smiled. "Well. We'll get you back to normal." She continued to play with his hair. "Would you like to go see Miss Avalon? She might be able to help." She said it softly and slowly, letting the words sink in. Maybe she should have just taken him without asking, looked like she was about to find out. Normally if she saw someone like this she'd give them chocolate, but after what had happened she didn't think that was a good idea.

Lucas was about to touch the pink haired boy when he yelled."Nooooo..."

"Hey! Chill mate." He said to him deciding better not to make physical contact.

Then he turned to Dani who said that the boy wasn't feeling well. "Oh! I can see he isn't feeling well. I just can't figure what's wrong with him and what's that red substace on his neck and clothes."

Lucas had promised Dani that he'd help her whenever she'd need him and he was beginnning to feel that this was one of those situations. Honestly he didn't know what to do. Well atleast not till he knew what was wrong with the boy. He didn't want to let Dani down on this one.

Dani looked back up at Lucas. "It's jam. Clark Landers ran by and threw a roll at him." Maybe she shouldn't have said that, Jake was bound to have overheard. Oops. SHe had been trying not to let it slip. "Jake will be fine. We'll just sit here for a few minutes and then go talk to the healer." She continued running her fingers through his hair. It generally calmed people down, and he had such pretty hair.

"Oh! I so hope Cale had been here. He used to be a prefect. Was a very good friend of mine. That clark guy would have been in deep trouble. Oh but no worries I'm here. It's not that I can't take over a - what is he in?- 2nd year kid." He said to Dani.

"And this guy is not okay. You can't just sit here. Maybe you should get him to the healer right away. And do you mind telling me why a guy throw a roll at him." He added.

"He's a third year and I don't know why he did it." She frowned at the air. "Why don't you go get someone and I'll sit here with Jake? I don't really want to leave him alone." She leaned her head on Jake and looked up at Lucas with pleading eyes. She couldn't leave Jake, he'd freak and besides Lucas probably knew more professors than she did.

"But you know I have only been here two day's I don't know who to get." He gave Dani a sad look. He didn't want to let her down. " Okay tell me where to go. I'll go find someone for you." He added in a haste taking a deep breath. "Maybe I'll run into Clark and hit him with a jinx along the way."

What floor were they on? The fourth right? She hoped she was right. She pointed. "Go that way. The library. Get the Librarian." She didn't know the lady, but it was worth a shot. "Don't be sad." She said, when she saw the sad look. If it weren't for the fact that she was supporting Jake she would have stood up and hugged him.

Hugs.

Fixed.

Everything.

"Okay and what do I tell her once I find her? What about there's a kid going mad besides the tapestry. I don't think that sounds right." He said to her.

Why was he asking her? He was the older one. "Just tell her that there's a sick kid in the hall. You don't have to tell her what kind of sick." She really just wanted to focus on Jake. Not on the story to give people. She smiled slightly at Lucas. "And if you see a blue haired kidd running around, feel free to jinx him." She was sorely tempted to make his hair green. Ooo. Evil.

Lucas started to walk towards the library.e was laughing at what Dani ad said about jinxing Clark. "Oh don't worry about that." He said and started to run.

Breeeaaathe in. Aaaaaand breathe out.

Okay, so that was breathing sorted, now his head.

Hugging his knees, Jake began to rock backwards and forwards, occasionally mumbling things like "Gonna get me," and "Hafta hide, gotta get out." He probably seemed like a mental case.

... He probably was one.

Not really paying attention to the conversation, Jake just stared straight across from him and kept rocking back and forth, letting Dani play with his hair.

Twas.

Soothing.

Yo.

Lucas was gone, hopefully getting a professor. "Jake, when did 'they' start coming after you?" She was trying to get some information. The adults always wanted information. Besides, she kinda wanted to know too. He smelled like strawberry jam. Yummy. Okay, no getting side tracked by food.

"I always knew they was after me," Jake mumbled insanely, still rocking back and forth. "Like... I knew they was there... and... and now, and last year... they tried to get me. It was Jack... Jack was one of them... he tried to strangle me," he added, trying to forget that part last year. Dani didn't even know Jack, he died before she even came to hogwarts... Jake actually went to the funeral. "And... and now... they're watching me. Everyone... they look at me, and talk to someone, and they're plotting... They put things into my head. They want me out."

They were troublesome.

They didn't exist.

Dani hugged him tighter. Where was Lucas and an adult. "I'll protect you." She promised him, sort of hoping that he was out of it to the point that he wouldn't realize how dumb that sounded. But she had to take care of him, she still cared about him, even if he was insane. She needed the healer, but the healer didn't like him much. And she couldn't go to her Head of House, he was mean to Jake. So she just sat there rocking with him.

Elizabeth arrived at the tapestry on the fourth floor, a bit agitated. She knew the odds of Lyra not talking about what she figured out when they were out with the groundskeeper trying to summon the squid were slim to none, and she hadn't exactly told Mari yet. Mainly because she wasn't entirely sure how to tell her best friend she was now dating her ex-boyfriend and their mutual friend. It didn't help that she was still slightly paranoid that Cayden was somehow watching her to make sure she didn't misstep and do exactly what he thought she would. Which, technically, a lot of people would probably think she was doing. But she couldn't help it. And she still thought Mari at least suspected something was going on.

In any case, she had finally decided to get the whole thing over with and had sent Mari a message asking her to come to the tapestry. It seemed like a fairly neutral place, and she remembered it from earlier in the term when she had been fascinated by it. But now, she was starting to worry again, and started pacing a little bit, waiting for her best friend to arrive.
