| | |  The Student Garden
 Your wonderful Professor Bunbury has been extremely careful and tedious in preserving this garden started by Professor Caraccio. She hasn't moved a single plant around nor made any other changes, with the exception of the puffapods and flutterbies the class planted in Term 21 in the southwestern corner of the garden. Oh, and don't overlook that bright, shiny, new pink shed in that contains tools, buckets and watering cans for the students to use.
Feel free to tend to a plant you or a friend may have created in class, or just admire the handiwork of your fellow Hogwartians. Lining the student gardens are the cherry trees which were grafted in Term 15 and the Northern Planters are occupied by the student hybrids created at the end of Term 16.
A pond borders the western edge of the garden and newly painted pink benches have been renovated so hardworking students may take a rest after pulling weeds.
North-Eastern Planter- Excelsior's White Lily x Tiger Lily (unnamed): a lily which looks much like the tiger lily, though a light yellow color
- Rapunzel's Honking Daffodil x Narcicuss (The Bright Badger): a petite narcicuss which squeak
Central North Planter- Jasmine's plumeria rubra acutifolia x catharanthus roseus (unnamed): a deep-blue colored Frangipani
- Sho's Silver Rose x Yellow Carnation (Sunrise Carnation): large-petaled carnations which look like a metallic yellow
- Ariana's Pink Rose x Blue Rose (unnamed): roses with red petals that fade to purple
North-Western Planter- Hermy's Sword Leaf Iris x Winter Love Lily (unnamed): slender spread petals, shimmering in purple, blue, and gold
- Ryan's Royal Iris x Easter Lily (Rowena's Knight): lily with frilled petals in blue and purple
- Bess's Dark Mauve Iris x Light Pink Lily (unnamed): dark pink lily with specks of deep violet adorning the center

Irial smiled. "Glad you're doing better, and like I said before, it's alright. Come get me if you ever need me, okay?" he proposed. When she splashed him, he let out a laugh. He hadn't laughed, actually laughed in a long time. He grinned at Rhea and splashed her back a little bit.
He was really glad he'd decided to come out to the bamboo forest and cheered up his friend. And he was being more social too. Ari would be proud. Ah..actually he'd probably just make fun of him. Oh whatever.

Rhea shrieked playfully when Iri wet her back.
"Ofcourse you know this means war," she threatened rolling up her sleeve.
"I'll show you a little spell a learnt all by myself,"she aid whipping out her wand. She dropped the watering can and pointed her wand at him.
"Aguamenta," she she said firmly and whisps of water shot out at Iri.
"Take that!,"she said laughing.

Irial's eyes widened when she pulled out her wand and doused him with water. "Hey!" he shouted, outright laughing now. He ran up to her and dumped the watering can over her head, completely soaking her. He laughed at her, and set the can on the path, making sure not to damage the flowers.
"Serves you right," he said, grinning at Rhea. He shook out his hair, which was wet, and it came out of his hair tie, falling in his face. "Looks like you're wetter than me!"

Rhea screamed when he dosed her with water. It was cold.
"Irial!" She glared playfully.
"I'm so going to get you back for soaking me." She repeated the charm again this time swishing her wand twice to produce an even bigger burst of water.
"Now, you're just as soaked as I am young man,"she joked. She took in his wet look and snickered.
"You could use a hair cut Iri,"she teased using her wand to flip his wet hair.

Irial stood there, his hair dripping, completely soaked now, looking like a drowned cat. "Young man?" he arched an eyebrow. "I'm older than you!" He shook his head, water droplets flying everywhere. "I'm freezing!" he muttered.
Looking at her, he shook his head. "My hair will not be cut," he said seriously. "Maybe you need a haircut?"

Irial nodded in agreement. "Where's the individuality then?" he asked seriously. "And if girls have long hair, why can't boys too?" He followed her suit though, and picked up his watering can.
Pulling his wand out, he copied the spell she'd done to get him soaked, and refilled the watering can. When he finished, he put the wand away, and went back to watering the flowers, thoroughly wet and soaked.

Rhea frowned as she watered the plants next to him.
"But what if you accidentally hit on a guy who you thought was a girl? Or what if one hit on you because he thought u were a girl hmmm? That would be very awkward I'm sure." She said in a matter-of-fact tone of voice.

"I'm not planning on hitting on any girls," Irial said matter-of-factly. "That's my brother. He's the flirt in our family. I'm more the mysterious, dark, brooding type." He shrugged. "As for if some guy hits on me and he thought I was a girl, I'd deck him. He should pay more attention before that happens."
Irial frowned, disregarding her Quidditch statement. "Are you getting sick?" he asked, wondering if their little water fight was a good idea. They were both soaked. It wasn't bothering Irial too much, but obviously it was making Rhea sneeze.

Irial laughed. "I'm glad you decided to, too, Rhea," he said sincerely. He was glad she was having fun, and he definitely was too. This was good for him, getting out and socializing and having fun. Actually having a life, instead of being holed up by himself, and occasionally his brother, and brooding over things that were better left up to chance.
"The flowers look like they've had their thirst quenched," he said, glancing down at them. They were shimmery and shiny with water droplets. It was pretty.

Irial shrugged as she set her watering can down. "I say we rest a bit," he suggested, maybe sit on one of those benches and watch the students." He smiled at her and took their watering cans back to the shed.
When he returned he agreed with her. "We should dry off a bit, I'm not fond of being damp for long." Grinning at her, he nodded to her. "Would you like to do the honors of drying us off? As it was you who got us wet in the first place?"

"Whatever you say Iri." She closed her eyes and enjoyed the cool breeze on her face. Being out on the grounds was always better than being inside the castle. She just always felt so...freeShe was also really enjoying Iri's company,even now when they weren't saying much, the silence was a comfortable one and for once she didn't feel pressured to make conversation.

Irial smiled. "Yeah...whatever I say." He laughed at this, then closed his eyes as well, just relaxing in the garden. He too was glad that he wasn't feeling pressured to make conversation with Rhea. Just the silence was enough. And it was nice when someone could sit with another someone and not have to say anything. The silence spoke volumes.
It meant that they were fast becoming good friends, which Irial appreciated.

I know it sounds crazy, but it really works. Now the wand movement. Right after you say the charm, your wand should vibrate a little and sort of turn into buzzing razor type thing." Professor Ashby sure has some strange explanations for his spells. "Then you start cutting. You uses a karate chop movement with your wand." Abby walks over to the flutterby bush. "It's okay. I'm just going to get rid of some of that dead growth, so you can grow better. Flipnsnipwitit!" Abby's wand starts vibrating. She places it next to the bush and starts cutting with a karate chop movement. "Hey, it's working. It's really working." Abby continues cutting around the bush. | |
