Ashton's hands were set deep into the pockets of the incredibly unfashionable trousers that his legs found themselves in. He was... Tired, yes. His room-mate found his American accent hilarious, and got him to stay up almost all night talking in it. Pfft. As if he could talk in any other accent. Most people could alternate between them, but he seemed to be stuck in his own little New York drawl.

Continuing his wander, he caught sight of a lone girl. Now, usually he was over there in a flash, but after a moments look, she appeared to be much younger than him. Thank GOD! He'd got a little tired of flirting. Walking over, he spread a grin across his face, and went up to her. "Dude, it's not exactly impressive is it?" He muttered, more to himself than to her, but all the same it was loud enough for her to hear.

Feet.Eww.Feet.And More Feet.Goodness Me! Couldn't a girl sit on the floor without so many Feet around her.It was like feet galore! She shrugged nad continued to play with her shoes.She began to tilt her head from side to side acting her usual weird self then someone spoke to her.She looked up to see a boy.What was it with people disturbing her sit on the floor time ? She shrugged and lifted her hand up,she paused and waved looking quite mellow and then putting her hand down again.She stared at the boy mellowly and blinked.You. Have a funny voice. she finally said giggling.Do you come from australia ? Ive always wanted to go to australia.Wooow you must've come a loong way from australia.Is australia warm ? Aust... AUSTRALIA?! His left eye twitching, Ashton almost stormed away in that moment. She actually thought his accent was Australian? Oh my god. "No." He replied simply. Not bothering to even answer with "I don't knows" to the rest of her questions. She actually though he was Australian. This was going to get to him for some time still. He didn't sound like he was from there, did he? Muttering a bit to himself, just to listen to the accent, he frowned again. He sounded like a regular, yet slightly quieter, New Yorker. God, what was wrong with her.

"No, I'm not from Australia. I'm from New York." He added as calmly as he could. AUSTRALIAN?! In New York, they didn't know what a desert was. Sure, they had plenty of ghosts, he'd seen a few mischievous ones, and of course they had water. To the best of his knowledge, they had water in Australia too. God.

Oh.You dont seem like a very happy bunny. she shook her head and frowned,Have you ever been to australia ? Do they have chinchillas and koala bears there ? I want a chinchilla,Have you got any pets ?! What year are you in ? Whats your name ? What house are you in ? Yaaay! For questions,She got up and brushed off the dirt from her trousers,Duude stoopid feet had interuppeted her "sit on the floor time".She shrugged and waved at the boy standing infront of her looking sort of destressed.Are you Destressed Or depressed ? As I said you dont look like a "happy bunny". she beamed and blinked.

Uhh. Wow. She darn well could talk alright, that's for sure. Tilting his head on one side and giving her his "charmer" smile, Ashton began to answer her questions, waaaaay slower than she'd asked them. "No. Yes. Two cats. Fifth. Ashton. Slytherin." Or at least, with a lot less words. If anyone had been charting their conversations, it would of seemed really weird, her with all these words that NEVER STOPPED! And him freaking out slowly. Now this was why he usually didn't talk to people when he was feeling quiet.

"Oh, don't worry, I'm not depressed, just a little country proud. I'm from America, not Australia, and I get a little irritated when people get it wrong." He spoke to her in a rather patronizing voice, you know, the type of voice people use when they're talking to babies... or dogs.

Why on earth was his smiling at her like that ? O______o She shrugged and decided to ask.Why in the name of Merlins Spotty underpants are you smiling at me like that ? she shrugged her shoulders and smiled.Hi Ashton,Is that like a New yorkian Name ? Im Shana. she smiled again and scratched her itchy nose.What're you cats called ? Oh noes.She was running out of questions to act it was his turn obliviously.Oh right still obviously not a happy bunny.

"Because I can. Is there some law about not being allowed to smile like I do?" He asked, a genuine smile creeping over his features slowly, taking the ridiculously flirty look out of him. "Hey, uhumm," Was it a whaat? Were all English girls this odd? "Not... That I'm aware of..." Cats, now what were his cats called..? Ugh. See if he spent more time with them, they might actually become part of his memory... "Uhh, one's called..." Quick, think fast!! "Jerry, and the other one's called.. Ben." He finished weakly, realising what he'd just christened his cats.

She scoffed and shrugged her shoulders.No theres not but I can make one,Annd You were smiling all weird like...weird. she smiled normally.You must know what type of name your name is,Duuuh. Small Cliff? Hmm.

Reese traveled down to the cliff she has seen many times while she was at the lake, but has never actually visited it. She was running her fingers through her hair as she walked and her brown eyes were scanning to area to see if there was anybody near she could talk to. Preferably, someone with chocolate frogs. She needed some chocolate right now and, unfortunately, she didn't bring any with her when she left the common room.

Finally arriving at the cliff, she spotted Shana talking to some guy she didn't know. She stopped running hr fingers through her hair and walked over to her friend and the guy. "Hello," she announced her presence. "Nice day, isn't it?"

"Uhhh..." He honestly had no clue how to return that one. He did just smile at people the way he did because he could. Nothing more complicated than that really. But she really was beginning to scare him slightly. Especially after she'd worked out that he was talking about ice cream when he told her the names of his cats.. "Uhh, enough about me... How old are you? What house? And fanta or coke?" Okay, the last one was just plain odd. Deal with it.

Yaay! He finally tagged on that she wanted him to start asking questions.She listened to him talk and then smiled.I'm 12,But Im nearly 13. she began to count on her fingers and tried to work out how long til her birthday.Umm my birthdays sometime soon over summer. she nodded.I'm in slytherin. she nodded.Annd Umm Fantoke. she nodded quite firmly
Suddenly she heard a voice that she knew waay to well.REESE! She screamed and hugged her best friend as she apporached them.I dont know. she said looking up at the wonderful pretty clouds.Yeah Tis pretty nice.

Eyes twitched from his newest acquaintance, to a newer one. Echoing the recently stopped movement of the girl, he ran his hand through his dark hair, and smiled at her. OMFGING! She was blonde! Ever since he reached the United Kingdom, he'd just met dark haired girls... Now it was awesome to finally meet a blonde one! "Hey." He eventually said, grinning at her as she approached.
"Fantoke, eh? That could be a band." He replied, another smile creasing up his lips and making the lines around his eyes crinkle. She was quite cute really, in her own, rather scary way, but then again, if she was twelve, then she was allowed to be like this, it was just, he wasn't used to people quite like her. Normally he mingled with people of his own age. Oh well, he'd get over it, and have a new friend to play with.

Yup.A band ? What ? she looked at Ashton as if he'd gone squirley,to be quite honest,he probably had acctually.She eye'd him as he looked at Reese and a smirk formed across her face and she giggled quietly to herself.Ashton Looves Reese! Ashton Loves Reese, she sang and skipped around immatureley.

Reese back up slightly when Shana yelled her name. Woah! She looked around the area to make sure they didn't attract any attention. "No need to make my presence known to everyone in the area," she said as she looked back at the girl. She returned the girl's hug and smiled. It seemed like ages since the last time she had seen her friend.

She glanced up at the sky at the clouds. "It's very pretty," she corrected Shana. "You know, it's sad the term is almost over. I feel like I'm getting old. I'm going to be 17 in like a few months." Yes, Reese Upstead was going to be of-age in just a few months. It was so good to have your birthday in September. She liked being older than most people in her year.

Looking back at the guy Shana was with, she finally noticed how cute that guy was. A little smile formed on her face as he finally talked to her. "Hello," she said. "I don't think we've met before. I'm Reese Upstead and I'm a fifth year Slytherin."

"Like, it'd be a good... Oh forget it." He trailed off, realising that there was probably no point trying to push his half thought through idea on to her. Annnnnnd, now she was singing like... Like only a twelve year old could. Rolling his eyes and giving the girl Reese a pained look, he ran a rather nervous hand through his hair. Was it possible for him to meet someone normal at this immensely weird school? Obviously not.

"ohh.." Okay, where had all his charm gone? Probably on the same trip as his sanity ever since he bgean talking to Shana. "I'm Ashton, Ashton McVeigh... And same really." A grin began to properly form on his face. Just turning away from the twelve year old had made him slightly more like... Himself.

Shana shrugged.Okay,EVERYONE THIS IS REESE UPSTEAD! she shouted pointing at Reese and smirking.Better ? she smirked and hugged Reese some more.She sniffled and pulled a sad dace.Dont say that! she snapped.That means your leaving soon. she sniffled more.Then Im stuck with Your brother,the "less favorite" Upstead. she beamed and hugged Reese some more.She looked at Reese,then Ashton,Then Reese Then Ashton and did the same about serveral times and then giggled.They were both Slythies,both fifth years,annd Ashton Upstead,that was a cool name she didn't know Ashtons last name so she couldn't compare names with his last name and Reese.She giggled again and clapped her hands together quietly.

Its called "wasting your breath" she nodded firmly and smirked.Oh looky that,Your both fifth years and both Slythiees.How ironic. she giggled and let go off Reese and began her song again.Ashton Loves Reese,Ashton Loves Reese. This time skipping round the pair of them in a circle.

"I assume nothing. Not anymore. Assuming got me in big trouble and made everyone unhappy and I'm just not going to do it anymore." No sir, no way, nuh uh, Plymouth shook his head a fair few more times than necessary. "From now on, I say what I mean and ask and tell and wait." Sure that all made sense.

Plymouth scooped up one more big rock and flung it across the lake - like the pro rock skipper he was. Skip Skip Skip Skip.

"Suppose we should go while I still have a little luck left?" Plymouth offered his hand.... pulled it back and then offered his arm. It's what Daphne had asked for, right? RIght.

Should Reese get into the conversation that the boy and Shana were having before she came? Probably not, but she was. "Fantoke? That's what you said would make a good band name, wasn't it? Hehe. That's a funny name," she told him. "Personally, I like the band name Lima and the Lemurs. You see, that's my band name." She frowned slightly when she said Lima's name. She still had to reply to Lima's letter.

Ignoring the singing and dancing Shana was doing, Reese continued to talking to Ashton. "Ohh?" she repeated. "Ashton, that's a nice name. Do you happen to go by Ash? Or is it just Ashton?" He was a Slytherin! That was cool. She hasn't met too many Slytherin, well, that was actually not true. She has met plenty of Slytherins, but she's never actually got into a conversation with them.

That singing was ANNOYING.

Reese turned to Shana, but the girl finally stopped singing and was now...announcing her presence to everyone? Could someone please get her friend to be quiet? "No. No. No. I said you there was NO need to announce my presence," she told the girl. She shook her head and then looked around the area to see if that attracted attention.

"Aww, Shana. You still have me for 2 more years," Reese said. "And, when I leave, you will still see me around. It's not goodbye forever." She hugged the girl and then smiled when she said Jake was the 'least favorite' Upstead. Bwaha. She did feel loved.

She let go of Shana and then turned her attention back to Ashton until...

"Stop the singing!" She exclaimed right when Shana started singing again. "Please?"

Shut up wasn't really mature for someone of his age to be yelling at someone of her age. It would seem mean... But if she did it to him it would be funny. Gah. He didn't get life occasionally. "Very ironic. But I think that there's a heck of a lot of Slytherin fifth years out there, what's that called? Birth control?" Guh, he was going to have an easy night's rest, because the moment his room mate said anything, Ashton was gonna kill him.
"You're in you're own band? That's pretty awesome." Personally, he couldn't even play the triangle, but he'd tried occasionally, which was all that counted. But he didn't really like lemurs either, they freaked him out, what with the big eyes, and the hyperness... His eyes suddenly dropped onto Shana. Lemur girl. That's what she reminded him of!!! Wow.

Ugh. "Please, not Ash, it makes me cringe." In that tone of voice, he sounded like he was from an American sitcom. Great.

Shana nodded.Yesss,So I did the excate Oppisite and told everyone. She beamed and giggled.Thats not long enouuugh,When will I see you ? If She said When you date Jake,Shana was so going to hurt her.She looked at Ashton,Naah she wouldn't not infront of people,Would she ? You neeed to stay Til I leave,Yup. she beamed and shrugged her shoulders.Bu-Buut Its my song. she said pulling the puppy dog face at Reese,You gotsa like my song. she sniffled a few times and looked to the ground.


Was this guy even from this universe ? Duuh.Seriously boys didn't get anything.It was time to be serious. Are you completely thick or stupid ? she rolled her eyes and sighed.Duuh,I said isn't that ironic cause I was saying you liked her,You muppet. she shrugged and skipped around again this time adding a new verse to her song.Ashton Loves Reese,and Reese Loves Ashton And Jack. she beamed and waved At Reese and Ashton as she passed them.

Plymouth seemed mildly intense for a moment and Daphne simply observed him with a mixture of amusement and curiosity. No matter what anyone said, Morgan was just an odd fellow; so hard to figure out. His brain--it certainly didn't work like hers. "Will you be putting your remaining luck to good use?" inquired the blond Gryffindor, taking his arm.

They were going somewhere else? Daphne tittered. It was like a tour!

Plymouth's eyebrows disappeared into his messy hair. It was always messy (who had TIME to fix their hair, really?), but the whipping wind around the cliff had really done him no favors. His hair was a mess. "I'm not entirely sure how to answer that. I know I'd like to use my luck on you, but I'm so afraid of your reaction that I know I just won't."

Again, this all made sense - if you were Plymouth. He covered her hand with his own and very slowly started walking them towards the little path again.

He was doing it again. Spilling out his thoughts that made no sense in Daphne's head no matter how much she mulled over them. Pursing her lips, she raised a pale brown in question. "Am I that frightening to you?" she pondered with a small chuckle.

That was a bit...unnerving. The last thing she wanted was for Plymouth to feel like he was stepping on eggshells around her. Perhaps this all had to do with what Celandine liked to call 'her stiffness.'

"We might have to quantify "that", Daphadil," Plymouth stopped walked to look down at Daphne. "But, I'll be honest. You ready for it?" Plymouth rolled his shoulders around and dipped his neck a few times - getting ready for "it".
