Plymouth Morgan was entirely too confusing for her at the moment. Rolling her eyes, she let out a sigh as she kicked more pebbles in search of another smooth and flat rock to skip. "Three times might be pushing it. Let's try two again. I'm good at two." Picking up a rock, she stared at the lake defiantly before flicking her wrist and letting the stone go. One skip. Two skips. Twooo--Two and a half? |
"I can accept two. But next time, we'll try for three. You'll practice, I bet." Plymouth held his palm out for Daphne, offering her all his good stones. He let silence fall between them for a second and then took a deep breath. Plymouth let it out slowly, "The point was that I think you look REAL pretty, and that little flower in your hair is perfect, and I enjoy... your nuzzles. That was the point you missed. No big deal." Plymouth stared out at the lake, waiting for her next rock to skip skip. |
"Okay," she said with a playful roll of her eyes. She reached for the stones on Plymouth's hands, wrapping her fingers around them. Daphne hopped once, wondering if it would help if she stood closer to the edge of the cliff. She had managed to skip a stone before Plymouth spoke again. Slowly, she turned her head to meet his eyes. It took her a while for the words to sink in and make sense. He was complimenting her and...admitting things that made her nervous. "Oh, Plymouth," she whined, shaking the rock in her hand before she turned to face the lake. She flicked. One. Two. Sink. "What am I going to do with you?" Really. What was she going to do? He kept feeding her compliments and it made her ego expand. If she didn't know any better. Hehe. If she didn't know any better. "If I didn't know any better," she voiced loudly, swinging her arm back, last stone in hand. "I'd say you looooove me," finished the blond with a chuckle, flicked her wrist and let the stone soar. One. Twoooo. THREE. THREE! Giving out a triumphant shout, she bounced up and down, clapping and cheering herself on. Oh. She was good. Although, this was probably as good as she'd ever get. It wasn't like she was going to keep practicing stone skipping. It really wasn't her thing. At this thought she wrinkled her nose. |
Plymouth .... ... .. Cough. "Um... well. I.. Um..." Plymouth scratched the back of his head just to have something to do other than gape. His grin crept back on his face slowly. How could he not grin at happy clapping and her triumphant rock skipper Daphne Hopton? Even after she'd totally embarrassed him (not an easy feat) and made him RED from head to toe. "I suppose you do know best, Missy Hopton. But I do.... how would Copernicus say it.... enjoy your company... or take pleasure in your proximity," Plymouth mocked his Stepbrother. He handed her one more stone, his last one. "I'm impressed. First time skipper and you've got crazy natural talent." |
Bored. So bored. Practically bored to death. Thats how bored Demetri was. Walkin to the Cliff seemed to be the only thing that seemed to be an ok idea. Sitting with the Gryfindors and the other Slytherins in the comon room got into a bore. Especially when nothing ever happened. NO fights. No arguments. Not even a little encounter. They bored him. He needed some excitment. He needed some friends. Runnig a hand through his hair, he sat down on the edge of the small cliff and looked down. Even that was disappointing. The water was only inches from where his feet dangled. Wasnt there ever anything exciting that happened here in Hogwarts? |

Peeking over when he heard a voice, Demetri smiled. Well this could get interesting. He peered over the girl making sure she didnt notice. Checking a girl out while she noticed... never a good thing. But then again.. a bad thing could be a good thing. "Hey" he said cooly tilting his head up at her. 'Names Demetri." He said looking back down at the few inches until there was water. HE looked back up at her giving her another smile and running his hand through his hair. "Whats yours?" Polite at first... true colors later. Thats how you ended up keeping friends. |

A Seventh year? And wait.. pointed ears? Elf? WOw.. yah this might have just turned into an interesting afternoon. "Hey Destiny. So.. Seventh year... mRavvie? And..are you part elf?" he asked looking back up at her with slight inetest, Neve having met a elf before, this was quite interesting. "Im a fourth year. So not as experienced as you in Hogwarts." he said lightly. "But then again.. your almost done. Mind if I ask what your doing?" he asked. "Not about after Hogwarts but.. now. Why you come over to talk to me?" Yah.. what a simple question. |

"Did I say anything about you leaving? No. I merely asked why you bothered to talk to me. My only interest was.. theres other people out here. I figured.. why me? But you can leave if you want. Im not one to stop people." O great.. Why did he always have to smart off? Giving a little smirk, Demetri looked quite smug with his little comback but.. she was more experienced and didnt bother to hide it. That was intriguing. "But I wouldnt mind if you stayed." he said lightly turning the smug look into a smile. |

Wait wait wait... Could she read minds? How did she know that he thought something about her was intriguing. Glancing back up at her, Demetris face went from surprised to normal. He had to smooth over his emotions. His father always taught him to hide them.. for what? He had no idea. Probably because they showed weaknesses. Weakeness wasnt allowed in the family. "How did you know? Mind reader? Let me guess.. power that comes with your elf thing??" he asked making sure he didnt think anymore |
Pyralis laughed her bell like laugh. "Yes, it comes with being and elf. SOmetimes it comes in handy." She looked over the cliff at the water her reflection looked back at her. "That and I'm faster." She said. "Sometimes it's good to have weaknesses. Everyone has weaknesses." Her weaknesses were those she loved. And that was it. "Try not to hurt yourself trying not to think." She told him. "I only read minds when I want to. And you can never tell when I am." Her brown eyes flashed light blue. |
Gah her reading his mind was going to get annoying.. although maybe it would make things easier sometimes. "Well .. if its alright with you. My mind is gonna be off limits." he didnt want her finding out some of the stuff that was in his mind. She didnt want to know either. Then he noticed the color change. "Wait.. whys your eyes change?" was there anything else about this girl that was going to intrigue him? |
"They change with my mood." Pyralis replied her face turning pink. She finally sat down next to him. She didn't feel like a Seventh year sitting beside of him, she felt small. That's how she felt standing with Joseph too. "OK, off limits." |
When she sat down, the feeling of her being more experienced seemed to vanish. HE felt older than her. Weird. IT must have been the height distance. "Ok good. Off limits. But you know you never answered my question. Other poeple are alone." he said with a smirk. HE didnt really care but conversation was key. |
Pyralis twisted her fingers in her hair. "If you want me to leave just tell me." She didn't look at him. "Others' are alone you're secluded." She untwisted her fingers and smoothed out her hair. She couldn't help the pain she felt as she thought he wanted her to leave. She didn't get into his mind again to see if he did or not, he didn't want it open. |
There she went again thinking that he wanted her to leave. Truth was... she was the most exciting thing that had happened to him since... well for a while. Since when had Hogwarts gotten so boring? Maybe they would have a friendship and things wouldnt be so boring. "ONce again, did I tell you that I wanted you to leave?" Demetri asked with a smirk. "I think not. I was merely curious. Making conversation." he said with a wink as he looked back down at the tiny cliff. Why couldnt they have larger ones? O yah cause they were scared we would fling ourselves off and hurt ourselves. I think they forgot we were wizards and witches. |

The ring that stayed on her left hand changed to pink. |

She possessed some common sense at least. Taking the last stone from him, she positioned it properly between her index finger and thumb before flinging it across the water. One skip. Two skips. Sink. "Aww," she whined briefly, crinkling her brows. "I suppose that three skips was just luck." |
Quote:
His eyes followed to her hand where her ring had turned pink. Weird. "So pink is.. embarrassed?" he guessed. She seemed embarrassed so maybe that was why the ring had turned pink, a mood ring. "But being a pessimist isnt that bad. Dont worry about it." he said twirling his wand in his hand as he sat there |

Demetri laughed "Embarrassed. I knew it. But why are you embarrassed?" he asked glancing around until he found a smooth rock and dusted the dirt off. "Everytime you talk about that boyfriend of yours, you blush. Im a little confused as to why." he admitted adn threw the rock it didnt skip onto the lake like he had wanted to. |
