Shana smiled.He He,lets hope not.she couldn't imagine Miles with wrinkles and stuff,eww it would be creepy.He'd end up looking like a raisin and Raisins were creepy.Eww.She shrugged and smiled.Umm 12...Im not that old,yet. Shana couldn't imagine herself being all old and wrinkley.Eww that would be even weirder than Miles being wrinkley.Why do people have wrinkles ? she rolled her eyes.Okaay,so mabye it was a weird question to ask but oh well.

Umm No I just came down here and it was weell..here.she smiled.Obviously they did.I can't believe your leaving this year.she frowned and placed her hands around Miles's waist and hugged him.

Jude smiled, "Tha's so grea'..." he said, happy she'd stay for the whole term this time. He giggled as she wiped the sand off, and shrugged, "Oi 'unno... Oi'm jus' tha' good Oi guess..." he said, removing her hand from his nose and just holding it for a moment before giggling again and starting to blush, at which time he let her hand drop and turned toward his ex-lighthouse tower thing.

"Umm... I' was a loight'ouse... bu' i' ain' no more..." he said with a little grin and picked up a hand full of sand, dropping it in her lap.

"Oh well I'm seventeen, I hail from Washington D.C in America, I currently live in Sussex, I'm around 6'2 and am currently single." Reid told her tongue in cheek, knowing that that wasn't what she wanted him to tell her. "Seriously though what do you want to know?" he asked Ruby while looking over to Via and hoping that she didn't mind that their trip to Professor Morgan's Hut was being slightly delayed.

Ruby gave him a sarcastic look and replied "i guess how you came to know my cousins?" she noticed he kept looking at the other girl and continued "if i am keeping you from something please forgive me"

Smirking at Ruby Reid shook his head slightly. "You aren't interrupting really." Now that that was done he started to think about her first question. He knew how he met them but he wasn't sure if he should tell Ruby that. It was private really, for both him and Sakura. "I met them in the hospital. Both Sakura and I were patients there at the same time and for some reason we shared a room. I was eleven at the time and missed out on my first year of school because of it. Sakura was six at the time. We both had issues and were in and out of the hospital for about a year and a half. We got to know each other relatively well. Through that I met Mei Lin and Sasuke as well as Minako and Mamoru."

Ruby turned away Sakura had always been a proper lady and Ruby had a feeling that it was to do with Aunt Minako and Uncle Mamoru, "i am sorry Reid" she replied and she was she didn't mean to pry into something like that she thought that they had met on holiday or something "i have to admit Sakura is a remarkable witch"

"It's fine. You didn't know, I'm just hesitant to talk about it as I am unsure how much Sakura would be willing to have revealed about her youth. I know she told you some things but I don't know everything that she told you. I think the way in which we met was really the reason we became so close. I was the one that looked out for her when her family couldn't be around and she was the one that reminded me what it was like to be in a place where things were actually alive. Even in hospital she was so vibrant, of course she was still the proper little miss like she was taught to be but she was also a lot more open than she became after that point." Smiling slightly ruefully he continued on to say, "Although I'm sure you know a bit about that, having only met each other last year."

Miles' eyes widened. "13 is not THAT old!" What was she trying to make out? That in the next year she would immedietely turn into a small, wrinkly old woman? Surely she couldn't be that ill educated. "I'm nearly 18! And I'm not old an wrinkly." Just in case, Miles quickly looked down himself, and athis arms. "... am I?" He looked back at Shana, for reassurance.

WHAT?! What was he doing?! He wasn't old!

Miles shook his head, to rid of his silliness. "I know. I don't wanna leave." He sniffled. It had only been the beginning of the year and already people were talking about it. "Sylvia's so lucky that she gets to start next year, I don't think she realizes how lucky she is."

Selena wandered around the lake and finally set her eyes on the big sandbox. Settling at the farthest, remotest corner possible, she noticed a few people engrossed in conversation but did not want to join. After all, she was nowhere near a girl of words. Her little, delicate hands began constructing up a little sand wolf howling at an unseen moon.

Shana rolled her eyes.I didn't say it was.She shrugged.Miles was Miles,So He had a excuse.She smiled and let go on his waist.Shana burst out laughing as Miles panicked.No No.Your still as...'Pretty' as ever,Miles. she rolled her eyes and wrinkled her nose.She loved Miles he was like a older brother.Aww and sometimes he acted soo cuute.

Shana siighed.Mabye if she made friends with Sylvia she'd get to see Miles in the summer or something.Or mabye he'd get married to Vannie and they'd invite her and mabye then she'd get to see him AND Vannie.Ooo Bonus.She'd get to see them both.I'm sure she will when shes here.she smiled And shook her head mimicking Miles.

Selena looked at her little sand sculpture and sighed. It was beautiful, but she still had her Transfiguration homework to be completed. So, the girl pulled out her wand and gave it a wave, "Evanesco." Unfortunately, only the lower part of the wolf vanished, the other part still stared mockingly at her while hovering in the air. "Oh well," she tried to remember Professor Swensson's movement and casted the spell again. This time, the dismembered wolf went out of sight. Pulling out her notebook, she recorded down the event.

Sinking his hands deep, deep deeeeeeeep into the lovely, yellow sand, Terry wriggled his fingers experimentally before scooping out a huge heap. He tossed it high into the air, watching it stream through the air prettily. A slow beam spread across his features, and his blue eyes narrowed against the glare of the sun overhead. And then his eyes were widening suddenly, and he squeezed them tightly shut.

TOO LATE. He broke out into violent coughing as thousands of itty bitty grains of sand whooshed down past him, only to fly up into his face, and clothes and NOSE!

AKHHHHHH. He couldn't breathe.

He was going to DIE!

He spluttered. And he coughed.

...okay. Maybe not. Forcing his breathing to slow, Terry twitched his nose cautiously, then slapped at his shirt, trying to rid himself of them evil little sand particles. This was going to take him eons! Could things get any more miserable? Not likely.

Ah, crikey. How embarassing.

"Evanesco!"

A moment later, all the tiny particles of sand covering Terry had simply vanished. Grinning, Issy blew on the tip of her wand, before tucking it in the little sheath in her cloak, placing her hands on her hips as she regarded her friend. He looked awfully silly, standing there in the sand, cheeks pink from coughing (or possibly from slight embarrassment, either or) and his hair all mussed about.

Good thing she'd been practicing that spell for so long now!

"I believe... at least as my mum taught me," Issy greeted Terry, "that sand belongs in the sand box, not all about your hair and clothing. Have you any idea how long it would have taken you to get all those little particles out?"

Tutting lightly, she wandered over towards the sandbox and paused before it to unclasp her shoes and lay them neatly off to the side. Next came her socks and those were lain with the shoes, before Issy stepped inside the box, surprised that the sand could feel both warm and cool as it filled around her feet and between her toes.

"Fancy seeing you here," she teased the boy, bending at the knees to scoop a handful of sand in both her hands. "Mind you, it's hardly a surprise, really, when one thinks about it long enough. Though, you'd expect that you'd at least be wise not to toss it into your hair." A chuckle tumbled from the girl's lips as she let the sand slowly trickle through the crevices between her fingers. "What brings you here, anyway?"

Staring in wide-eyed disbelief as the sand particles suddenly were vapourised from his clothes and face, the fact that someone had actually uttered the spell seemed to sink in several belated seconds later. One hard jerked instinctively to his hair, and the boy sank in obvious relief. His precious hair was free!

Glancing up slowly towards the petite girl in front of him, Terry's eyes brightened and a crooked grin edged over his lips, 'Do you even know how much I love that little head of yours right now, Isabella?' He waved his hand once in the air in greeting, then snorted in self-exasperation. 'Gracias, honestly. It didn't even occur to me to use a spell to clear up this mess,'

Scooching over, Terry dug his fingers into the sand beside him again, simply content with kneaded his small hill over and over. At Issy's words, his cheeks flushed a vivid pink, and he ducked his head, gaze fixed at the hems of his shorts. 'I ...got a little carried away, heh. Besides,' Terry levelled Issy with a teasing look, 'It's not as if you haven't ever flung sand into the air, just because? Or splashed around in a puddle on a rainy day, heck with the consequences?'

Terry scrunched his nose in distaste. 'I've no idea what I'm even doing here, of all places.' He shrugged his shoulders helplessly, 'It's just, I was tired of seeing the same old faces inside, y'know? And nor did I even have an inkling what house you were in. So soughting you out was a moot point.' A sigh escaped his lips, and he worried his lower lip, 'Issy, do you not feel like everyone's just ...leaving?'

Leaning back on his arms, he raised an eyebrow at her in challenge, his words carrying a teasing lilt, 'So we've figured why immature old me might be found playing around in a sandbox. What however, could possibly bring oh-so-mature Isabelle Cortella to the same ground though, pray tell?'

Issy beamed proudly as Terry praised her; even Ravenclaws liked to hear their intelligence praised, after all. Besides, this was the utmost of important praises, because learning to use one's skills was one of those life lessons they were to be learning while here at Hogwarts. Plus, it was nice to know that she'd mastered the spell with such ease. Mind, vanishing objects wasn't hard as long as one could concentrate well and Issy was not one of those with such short attention spans.

"I hardly remember to use spells myself when I need them, but when I see others, it always occurs to me then. I could so easily scourgify my room at home, but it rarely occurs to me until after I've completed the sordid task."

The pink flush of Terry's cheeks called for a giggle from Issy, her lips turned up in a coy grin. One shoulder nudged the boy and her mind pulled upon the sort of memories that Terry's words tugged at. "Now and then, I'd play in the sand, but Mum was always utterly strict about it. Mattio, Fredreich and I loved to play in the rain, but she rarely let us - was too muddy, you know? There was this one time, though, a couple terms back, in Hogsmeade? The sky just opened up and rain came down in sheets. That was first year..." Her voice trailed off as a smile tugged her lips upward; that was the first time she'd ever gotten Samson to play along.

Terry's teasing tugged a smile upon Issy's lips, but it wasn't long before it vaporized, giving way to a sort of downward tug. Her eyes shifted away, and soon her whole face was looking of in a distance, away from Terry. Of course she felt like everyone was leaving - it was as if Terry had read the very thoughts and memories she kept locked away with such care. Gavin and Juni... Samson and Willow were a year her senior and would soon be gone, too. A thick lump was swallowed and Issy merely nodded, blinking back the attempted tears.

She was quite fortunate for the teasing direction the conversation took and glanced back at Terry, batting her lashes and blinking back the last of her tears.

"The need to save your bum," Issy teased. "Had it not been for me, how long would you have stayed her, shaking sand from yourself as a dog?" In a more serious tone, she added, "I was just... taking a walk. There's few nice days left before the chill sets in."

Divad decided to build a heart. He was feeling rather down, but building things used to always cheer him up and calm him down. The Sandbox was getting full, so he left.

She had heard there was a sandbox out on the grounds, but she hadn't really believed it. So today dressed in her jeans and ribbed tee with her house crest on it. It was a bit cold outside, but with the addition of a river in the middle of the school it had risen the temperature of the castle so it actually felt good to be outside with nothing covering her arms.

She stood at the edge of the sandbox actually smiling. It would be nice if there was a swing set too. Hmm, maybe she should but that in the suggestion box. She still wanted to bring up the uniform changes to Professor Vindictus, he seemed to be a man that kept up with fashion.

She took her shoes off before she walked into the sandbox. She saw a discarded pail and shovel and she scooped them up and found herself a patch of sand and started digging. She had have made a sand castle before so this should be fun.

Walking out of the stuffy castle his high tops slapping the pavement William stopped, closing his eyes and taking a breath of fresh air. Ah it felt good to be out of there for awhile he thought to himself as he opened his eyes and looked around, wondering where he could go. The lake was practically boring for him now, secretly he was afraid he'd fasll in and be victim to the giant squid, even though he knew he'd never hurt a student.

Squinting off into the distance a slow grin crept on his face as he spotted what appeared to be a sandbox. "No way." He murmured, his blue eyes rising and twinkling as he began walking towards the apparation. As he got closer he couldn't help but grin wider. Stopping at the edge of the box he glanced down at the sand, his feet tingling with excitement. Sitting down he took off his blue sneakers and socks, before standing again and walking in the sand. "Ah." he murmured before spotting someone he knew.

"Hey, you building a castle?" He asked happily as he sat next to Paris burying his feet into the sandy crystals. It felt weird acting like a little kid but he needed the distraction from the oddness.

She had already built up a nice base and was adding a turret when a shadow fell across her castle. She looked up at William before he sat down next to her. She smiled at him. "Yeah I've never built one before." she told him. "Wanna help me?" She asked scooping up some sand in the bucket and handing it to him.

William nodded, "Sure I love building sand castles; I used to do it all the time back home." He replied, glancing around for an extra pail and shovel. He spotted one near the far corner and stood up, walking over to pick them up before returning to his spot beside her. "It's really relaxing you know. Once you get started you won't be able to stop." he joked filling his bucket before patting it down making sure it looked even before flipping it over and adding his bit to the castle. He grinned when the pail came away clean and began making rivets on the top.

She was glad for someone to talk to and glad for the distractions of all the foggy thoughts swirling in her head. She took her packed sand and dumped it onto the second layer of sand. She wanted to make a tall castle. She took her shove and carved out some windows. "Yeah this is very relaxing," she agreed. After the loss of her wardrobe she needed a hug and a spa treatment. She took her wand and dug a perfect circle around the castle and added water to the moot. "You know the ancient Babylonians had a moot almost a mile wide around the entire city," She told him. "They said it was impregnable, but of course the Persians conquered Babylon." She didn't know if he knew any of this or if he wanted to.

He watched as she added to the second layer and nodded. Filing his own pail up again he added it to the second layer as well smoothing out any bumps as he listened. "Really? I didn't know that. Couldn't they have just used magic to make a solid wall or something?" He asked, not knowing a lot about the Babylonians. He loved learning new things though. Glancing at her he frowned a bit before taking out his small stash of chocolate. "You can have some of you want. I heard about your common room. Tough break." he said, smiling slightly at her.

Hmm... Why was Natasha here, again? Sandboxes weren't usually the type of places Natasha usually went, but hey, nothing wrong with doing something different. Right? She took off her shoes and socks and walked into the sandbox. After looking around, Natasha saw two people building a sandcastle. "Hey, do you guys mind if I join you?" She asked politely. She had this odd urge to build a sandcastle, for some reason, and it would probably be more fun if she did it with someone else.
