Miles could see it a mile away, and it felt like his eyes had stretched out of his face to see that amazement that was a fort. "OH MY GAWWD." He felt the need to walk quickly down to the sand box, (not run, as he'd look silly) and congratualte whoever had made such a beautiful monument. It was Torin's, which would make him look less odd, as it was someone he already knew.

"Did you got the sand castle making school or something?" He grinned at Torin and sat at the other side of the fort. "It's amazing." Miles stared at it for about 10 more seconds befoe looking up at Torin, his grin faded when he saw he didn't look so happy. "You not proud of it, mate?"

He looked up from the tower he was in the middle of making when he heard Miles' voice. He chuckled at the first comment. "You like?" Seemed like the older boy's eyes were practically popping out of his skull.

"Well... actually.. I'm totally preoccupied by something else." He got back to work again. "Reese told Bunbury about my crush on her to get revenge on me for telling the boy she likes how she feels.. But that was only to help her. And now I feel angry but I also miss her."

He hoped Miles wouldn't like run away from him for unloading issues on him out of nowhere.

"YAH!" Was that cheering charm that Professor Lups cast still washing over him? Surely not. Miles began to attempt to make a little village next to this magnificant fort. Whoever thought of the sandbox was a star in Miles' eyes. He patted on the sides of the little houses and made windows, and then he began making a little village hall for all the villagers to have meetings and parties in. Wheee!

"Oh?" Miles had never talked properly to a boy before, apart from Terry and Hugo, so ... this could be quite exciting! Maybe. Miles calmed down with village crafting and genuinely acted interested. He gasped with what he next said. "Seriously?!" Miles would probably wear a paperbag if Professor Morgan found out about his tiny crush, also if Vannie found out! "Dude. Thazz mean. I mean, if you were telling her crush that she fancied him to help her, then ... how's that bad?"

Watching Miles work, he nodded at the boy's shock. "I was there at the time she told him too. And she said that I'm obsessed with Bunbury... So she new things I'm a stalker or something." He sighed and felt a brief deside to knock down Miles' village. But he refrained. "I'm not as paranoid about it as I was a few weeks ago, but... dude. I'm as lost about that as you are. Apparently it's some weird girl thing relating to secrets and the desire to get revenge. I call it insanity." He almost laughed as he imagined Karma hitting him for that comment; good thing she wasn't around.

"Woah." Miles was quite suprised at the fact that Reese, a loving, caring Slytherin (bit of an oxymoron), would do such a thing to porr Torin who really liked a teacher! Which, wasn't always the best person to have a crush on. Why would Reese do that? Just because he was helping her? Odd. "She did it whilst you were there? How rude." Miles frowned, this was a different Reese, not the one he had known for more than 2 years.

"Ah." Miles closed his eyes and nodded. He ... kind of understood the whole girls telling each other everything thing. "It's like a secret girl code. Like, don't date your friend's ex-boyfriend." Thing is, what happens if your friend was friend's with everyone? The ex-boyfriend would never be in another relationship ever again! "Well, girls are quite catty towards each other, I do know that."

"Mmhmm. She didn't know I was there. But it doesn't matter. She still shouldn't have." And while he shouldn't have told Jack, at least he did it for Reese. Not revenge. He never would have done that to Reese.

"I'm new on the whole girl code thing. The one I was with back at home was like.. not insane." heehee. There was a girl that was just like him. He still missed her now. "I really don't get girls.."

Miles nodded in agreement. If anyone told Professor Morgan about how he felt, he would drown in a puddle of embarrassment. "Well, think of it this way, atleast you don't have a girlfriend." It was much worse for him, because Vannie would find out also, and then he would be in HUGE trouble. "Vannie would kill me. What's worse, she has prefect powers, she could expell me!" Miles would doubt she'd do anything like that, he'd just get Clifford on her, he was afterall, head boy. Mwahaha.

"Neither do I." Miles remembered the time when he first arrived, and quite a few girls wanted to be his friend. "I know one of them is, don't hang out with loads of girls when you're dating someone. I don't get that really." It may have sounded a bit clueless, but Miles didn't see the wrong in hanging out with loads of girls, he was just being friendly. "Really? That's very rare." He laughed. Most girls were insane in their own way.

With not much to do right now, Jule walked down to the sandbox. Oh the playful sand box. She sat on the edge on it and wondered what to build this time.

Is there really any good thing to build of out sand for a 11 yr old? Guess not.

She began making a small sand castle. The typical normal sand tower with a flag on it. Too bad she wasn't really creative at the moment right now. Besides the flooding and the giant squid, everything as "normal". If there is such thing as normal.

"Touche," he said biting his lip. He kept working on one pf the fortifications as he listened to Miles. "Well, I don't think she would expel you. I think she would throw you from the Astronomy Tower." That would be sad. He would really miss Miles, and Vannie would be sent to Azkaban.

"That makes no sense. I mean, they think you are going to cheat on them or something." He shook his head. Girls needed to get over these silly insecurities. "Yeah, I was very lucky. I didn't know how lucky until now." He laughed.

Miles' eyes widened. Would Vannie really do that? He would rather be expelled than be thrown off of the Astronomy Tower. He leaned in a little. "Are women really that violent?" Miles whispered, hoping a girl wouldn't here and get all offended or something. He knew what they were like.

"I know! And it's most likely your not. But they still throw things at you." Miles laughed. He'd never had hands-on experience, but he had heard of the occasional crockery and kitchen utensil throwing contest. "Mmm. Sounds alright. Though, Vanz is pretty sane, just the occasional paranoia here and there."

Kel was in a good mood today. He was humming, something he only did when he was happy, tunelessly as he wandered out to the sandbox. He kicked off his shoes, socks, and his Hogwarts robes, setting them down outside the box. Today he was wearing a t-shirt, instead of a long sleeve shirt, because it was finally warm again.

He sat down on the side of the box, setting his bare feet in the sand, and stopped humming.

Jenn couldn't believe how happy she was today. She was singing and skipping as she...well....skipped down to the sand box. It was a nice warm day today, and she was starting to feel the heat warm up her black Hogwarts robes, her black closed in shoes, and the quarter length white botton shirt. Her skirt wasn't really helping either, but at least she was baking in it. Reaching the outside of the box, she stopped singing and started taking the robes, shoes and socks, and even the botton shirt off, revealing a light blue tank top. Sighing in realif, she looked around.

Just a little ways down from were she was sitting was Kel. She started fiddling with her hair, trying to get it into a nice up-ponytail. Satisfied with it, she looked back over at Kel, a slight smile on her face. Even if they weren't boyfriend and girlfriend...the were friends. And Jenn was very happy right then to even care if he didn't want to talk to her.

Standing up, she walked over to were he was sitting, a wide smile on her face, warming up her brown eyes. Reaching him she sat down, smile still on her face. "Hey Kel!"she said, hugging him quickly before looking back at him.

A large smile spread across Kel's face when he saw Jenn. He returned the hug, then leaned back on his hands as she sat down next to him. That hug made him even more happier than he had been - Jenn had forgiven him for calling off the whole boyfriend-girlfriend thing, and she was still his friend. Clearly.

"Jenn!" he greeted cheerfully, taking in her attire. "You look...relaxed." he commented, his eyes going from her bare feet to her tanktop. He smiled lightly before reaching up to his neck to loosen his tie. "How have you been?"

When he hugged her back, it felt like she had a warm blanket over her, while drinking hot chocolate infront of the common room fire. It made her feel happy that he still cared about her.....and that they were friends.

Jenn giggled. "I guess you could say that. It's a nice day, and I just had to soak it in."she said, nodding, a grin on her face. She looked at him, going from his green eyes that were sparkling with happiness, to his bare toes. Looking back up at him, she shrugged. "Good I guess. Been reading a lot lately. This one book I hadn't read before was pretty interesting, and then I read some of my school books again."she said, grinning. "Today though, I had descided I should come out and enjoy the warm day. So glad it's warming up. I love the warmth."she told him, her brown eyes sparkling. "So what about you?"she asked, poking him lightly and eyeing him playfully. "What have you been up to? And how are things on the boy side of Ravenclaw?"she asked, smirking slightly, crossing her legs, and grabing her wand, leavitating little groups of sand clumps with her wand.

Kel nodded knowingly. "Yeah, I love this kinda weather. I had to come out here and enjoy it." he agreed, leaning his head back and closing his eyes. A faint smile came onto his face again when he saw the imprint the sun left on his closed eyelids.

"School books are good." he murmured. He'd never read any muggle books - so he didn't know what to say about the book Jenn was reading. "What book?" he decided on asking. He chuckled when she asked about 'the boy side of Ravenclaw,' and looked back at her. "Well, I don't know." he shrugged. "I don't have many Ravenclaw friends that are boys, ya know?" Well, he didn't have many guy friends at all...come to think of it, the only guy friends he had were in Ravenclaw. And there was only two of them. How saddening.

He watched as she levitated sand clumps, and reached for his own wand. "But guess what! I recently found out that I'm ambidextrous!" he laughed as he gripped his wand with his left hand and also started levitating sand for the heck of it.

She turned to smile at him, then turned back to her levitating funness. "So glad this term is....almost over. Can't wait to get away from school work and see my brothers."she smirked slightly. Oh yes. It would be fun to see her brothers....and wreak havoic in their house again. "But....I'm also going to miss Hogwarts though. It's like my home." If it doesn't flood. she added in her head, frowning slightly. "We still have awhile left though, so I shall enjoy reading, being with my friends, and school work."she winked.

She nodded. "They are good. I've been reading my potions book the most though. Trying to get past all the....yuck stuff in there."she said, wrinkling her nose. She blinked a few times, slightly surprised he wanted to know what book. "Well...."she blushed lightly,"it's a muggle book. It's called Sleeping Beauty."she shrugged. "It's not bad. Apparently it's a childrens book, cause it was beyond easy to read."she chuckled, the color in her cheeks slowly going back to her normal color. She giggled when he told her he didn't have that many guy friends. "Your such a ladies man Kel."she said, shaking her head in mock shame. "Of coarse....you sound kinda like me, only I don't have that many female friends. I have a few though. Like....four or something like that in Ravenclaw. Then I have a whole bunch of guy friends."she blushed again.

Ambidextrous? What did that mean again? Oh yeah! Jenn remembered now. "So you can do stuff with both of your hands? Cool! So you can write with your right, and your left? Lucky! Wish I could. It's just me and my little right hand right now."she giggled, waving her right hand, making sand clumps swing over the two of them.

He frowned. "I don't wanna go home." he muttered, his frown deepening when he heard his tone. Whining. Ugh. But...well, he didn't want to go home. He'd spent way too much time there in his life - and he didn't want to go back to his mother, father, and Deliliah. Ugh again. He'd much rather stay here at Hogwarts, even if it was flooding and stuff. But he'd come back next year, he was fairly sure.

"Sleeping Beauty?" he questioned, looking at Jenn while tucking his wand into his pocket and playing with the sand with his fingers. "What's it about?" For some reason, he wanted to know about this muggle children's book. He was sure it would be interesting...

"Ladies man." he scoffed, shaking his head. "I think not." he grimaced, ignoring her mock-shame-headshake. She was far from right on that front. He had just never talked to any guys except for Cope and Plymm. "Now you, Jenn, are a ... well, not a ladie's man." he shook his head. "But ... a man's lady." he nodded for emphasis. And that was exactly the reason he broke up with her. But no thinking about that right now.

"I can! I can't believe I never realized it...it seems kinda natural now to do stuff with my left hand." he looked at both of his hands as he said this, and shrugged.

She turned to look at him, an eyebrow slightly cocked. "You don't? Is it because of whats at home?"she asked, scooting over to be closer to him. "Cause, you can come over anytime to my place."she said, nodding. "We have plenty of room because my one sister isn't at home anymore cause she's married, and the other one is about to go in a year. And we have a guest house too."she added, smiling. "It would be fun. We could play Quidditch, or swim, or just relax." It would be fun, that was for sure.

He wanted to know what it was about? Well she could tell him. "It's, well, about a princess that gets gifts from some good fairies. But then a bad witch like fairie comes and puts a curse on the baby princess."she looked over at him, wondering if she should go on. He probably didn't want to know that much anyway, but she went on anyway. "The curse was that when she turned a certain age, she would prick her finger on a spindle, and die. The evil woman then leaves."she breathed in, looking at him to see if he wanted her to go on.

She snorted. "Sure your not."she said, giggling. She cocked an eyebrow. Man's....lady? She couldn't help but laugh. "No I'm not. I just have a lot of guy friends."she informed him, nodding. Man's lady her foot. Of coarse....maybe that was why he had broken up with her. She pushed that thought away. At that time he was just being stupid...asking her to date other guys. But right then she wouldn't think about it, she was going to have fun right then. She then concentrated on trying to get the frown that had appeared on her face back into a smile.

"Well your very, handy."she said, chuckling. "So are you going to be left handed, or right handed?"she asked, looking down at his hands, while arranging the sand apsentmindedly with her wand.

"Yes." Kel said shortly, then sighed. "I mean, I love my parents, of course. But...sometimes they reeeally get on my nerves." Or most of the time, but whatever. His eyes widened at her offer, and the smile came back to his face. "Really? Well, I'd love to!" It would be so much fun to spend time away from his house...and his parents had no reason to disapprove, because Jenn was a pureblood, too. So ha.

He nodded slowly as Jenn told him about Sleeping Beauty. "Sounds...dark." he frowned again. What kinda children's story talked about death? Well, of course there were the Tale of Beedle the Bard...but that was different, wasn't it? "What happens next?"

"Of course not. I don't see why I would be." he said shortly. Hopefully Jenn wouldn't respond to that. When she said something about not being a man's lady, he shook his head. "You are." he told her with a nod. So there.

He shook his head at her bad joke. Handy. Ha. "Clever." he teased with a laugh. "Hmm...I think I'll be left handed, today. Just for a bit of change." he said, looking at his left hand. "Sound good?"

Jenn nodded, completly understanding what he was talking about. "I know. They can be so.....aggrivating at times. Especially my mum. She just...expects that I am something that I'm not, and it's so annoying."she said, sighing, looking down. Her head snapped up though, her face going into a wide happy smile. "You really want to come over?"she asked, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "Well then....great! Oh I can't wait!"she said, nodding excitedly. Oh it would be great. Since Kel was pureblood, and a gentleman at times, then her mother would love him! Yay!

She shrugged. "It's no darker than the Tale of Three Brothers, or that nasty Tale of Beedle the Bard story about the Warlock and his hairy heart."she said, wrinkling her nose. She blinked a few times when he wanted her to go on surprised. Okay then. "Well, one of the good fairies hadn't given her gift yet, and she gives that baby princess a gift that when she pricked the spindle, she would just go into a deep sleep. Not great, but it's better than dying...right?"she said, shrugging. "The king then send a order that all of the spindles be burned, and years go by. The princess grows up, and it's her birthday, and the year that the evil witch lady said she would prick her finger and die."she took a deep breath, then went on. "The princess goes on a little walk, and sees...a spindle." She paused, pretending to take a deep breath again, waiting to see what Kel would do.

She snorted again. "I could see why."she mumbled, smirking. The smirk disappeared when he said she was. "Whatever."she said, frowning, poking at the sand with her wand.

She grinned. "I thought so."she chuckled out. She raised her eyebrows, and giggled. "Sure. So your a lefty today? Then righty tomorrow. Sounds like a super hero or something like that."she giggling.

He shrugged. "They can be. If you get them mad enough." Though he really doubted that Vannie would ever do anything like that. And he was sorta exaggerating. Though girls could be pretty violent just like guys.

"Never had things thrown at me. Have you? And what paranoia?" What Vannie jealous of other girls?

Miles shuddered. He hoped to never have a violent girlfriend or ANY girl violent towards him. And if they were, they would have started it. "Naaaah. Thank Merlin. But me and Vannie both can get paranoid sometimes. Everyone's a teeny bit like that now and then." Miles shrugged, him more than Vannie, of course.

Kel made an angry sounding snort. "My parents force me to be someone I'm not. Therefor, making it someone I am." Hmm, that made sense in his head - not so much when he said it outloud. He was talking about him being such a gentleman. Sure, nothing was wrong with it...but he had a feeling a lot of people he had met thought that he was funny, or something, because he bowed to girls. Blame his mother for that. "Yeah I wanna come!" he said cheerfully. "That is, if you'll have me..."

He frowned. The Warlock's Hairy Heart. Yes, that was a bit dark. "The Tale of the Three Brothers is like, the best wizard story, I think." he said with a shrug. It wasn't that dark...not really. "So she touches the spindle?" he guessed, raising his eyebrows. "But what's the point in that? If she goes into a deep sleep she can't wake up from, is that better than death?" he frowned.

"What's that suppose to mean?" he asked, surprised. Sometimes Jenn made no sense. "A superhero?" he repeated, chuckling. "Sure, sure. The Amazing Dominant Hand Changer."

Jenn raised an eyebrow, trying to get what he was talking about. Then the light bulb came on. "I see. That's how I feel sometimes. Infact, when I was younger, I was kinda like that. I was terrified of my mum, and well.....I would do everything she told me to do. I was proper, and more like a machine than a person."she frowned, picking at a little piece of grass sticking out of the sand. "But, now I'm this. Much better, huh?"she asked, grinning. She wasn't going to put in that it was because of Jesse and another friend...that was a boy, had been the ones that had made her....cheerful and happy. She smiled happily. "Of coarse I'll have you! Silly Kel!"she chuckled, ruffling his hair.

"It's good. But the Fountain of Fair Fortune is the best of them all."she told him, nodding. That was her favorite of them all. She laughed. "In a way death is better, but, at the end a prince comes along and see the sleeping village, because when she touched it, the whole village fell into a deep sleep. He see's the beautiful princess, and loves her instantly, and he feels sorry for her so he kisses her, awakening her from the deep sleep. Isn't it lovely?"she said, getting a dazed look on her face.

She giggled. "Nothing."she told him simply, winking. She couldn't help but smile and laugh at his superhero name. "Nice. Very catchy."

Hayley sat down with a huff in the sandbox and began angrily throwing sand into a pile. "Stupid water," she grumbled, the pile slowly getting higher. Of all the things to fill the castle, it had to be water. Why couldn't it have been pudding, or jello...or something yummy? But nuuu, it had to be stupid dumb flavorless water.

The pile of sand was now a few feet tall..and...pile shaped. Hayley poked at it absentmindedly with her wand, Steve. While she thought about the flooding, the pile before her turned from purple, to green, to yellow, to red, to orange to magenta, to black, to gold, and then back to purple, repeating the process with every jab of Steve.
