Just a little ways away from the lake (about a 30 step walking distance), resides a rather LARGE sandbox for many children to play in. While it may seem like a childish pastime, there's nothing like building a sandcastle and then destroying it to let out any stress and anger; not to mention, a great way to free the mind.
So come on in and get building! There's many a waiting to be built! | |

Deciding to leave the lake, Jule made her way to the sandbox. It was pretty quiet and awkward. Putting her stuff down and taking off her stockings and shoes, Jule stepped into the sandbox.
"It feels like a fake beach." she laughed and knelt down. She began trying to build a sand castle.

Jule jumped when she heard her name. She looked at her castle and it was demolished.
"Oh well...," she turned to see none other then Divad standing there, "Where have you been?!" she felt her eyes turn red. He hasn't shown himself for weeks and here he is NOW.

"Dammit." she said and felt her headache come back. She sighed and sat on the edge of the sandbox, with her head on her hands.

Sabrina had walked up to the sandbox with great determination about a quarter of an hour ago. She was going to make a sandcastle, without magic. That was right. Ever since she had discovered this place, Sabrina had visited it whenever she could, and tried, with little success, to make a sandcastle without magic. This time, bored as she was, she had decided that she would not move until she had finished her castle, since she was sure she would finish it.
In fifteen minutes, she'd had no luck.
The tiny blonde sat in the middle of the 'box', her clothes covered in sand, with a pout on her face. Finfteen minutes, and all she had achieved was frustration. "Aaaaaaargh!" She growled at it, as though doing so would make the sand behave. If she had expected that it would, she was disappointed.
Impulsively, she punched the little castle she had managed to build, then horrified, she started again. | |

It was his turn to patrol the grounds. GRRR. Clifford hated it when he got the grounds. Those gnomes.. he could practically feel their little beady eyes boring into him from their various hiding places. One day they were going to attack.. and then Clifford Carden would be no more.
Sniffle.
It was only then he realised he'd been standing a little ways away from the sandbox thingymabob. That girl.. she REALLY failed when it came to sandcastle building. "Dude! You totally don't have the right technique," huffing a little, Clifford made his way to the sandbox and stood with his hands at his waist. "You ain't ever gonna get it right if THAT'S how you build sandcastles." Duh!

The Ravenclaw jumped. What was it with people and sneaking behind her? Everyone did that. There was Becca, who sneaked behind her in the common room and Sabrina had jumped and almost dropped her book, when she had suddenly greeted her.
Or was she really that clueless about her surroundings that she didn't even notice people when they stood right in front of her face?
Oh, it was Clifford.
"You tell me how to do it then, if you're such a genius!" She said, crossing her arms, trying to look like she knew what she was talking about. Actually, she had only crossed her arms because he stood with his hands on him hips. He was so tall that he was almost a freak anyways, and now he stood with his hands on his hips and looked even more mighty. Sabrina felt like a tiny rat with her five feet two inches. And she was sitting.
How unfair!

Had he made her jump? COOOL. Everyone was always making him jump like that.. it was nice not being on the recieving end for a change. Hehe. When the girl turned to address him, Clifford vaguely recognised her. Sabrina, right?
Wow.. Sabrina looked so short and tiny aaaaaalll the way down there. Odd.
What was it with all the girls being complete and utter MIDGETS?
"I am a genius actually," Clifford pulled a rather childish face as he stepped onto the stand and plopped himself down. Ahhh, patrolling was boring anyway.. and from what he'd seen, Sabrina was in need of some serious help. Heh. Most girls were. "You see, sandcastle building is a very fine art. Not everyone is blessed with the gift." He stated like the genius he was, using his hands to pile some of the sand up. She clearly didn't have the magic touch.

One eyebrow arched. Another one followed.
He was supposed to say he wasn't a genius and that it's not such a big deal and that anyone could do it. He had said the complete opposite. Sabrina uncrossed her arms, since Clifford had flopped down next to her in the sand and started to pile some of the sand.
Oh, what the heck? Playing in the sand alone was boring anyways.
But why did he have to be so ... so .... huge? Why were all boys so huge? There were barely any of normal height. He was sitting next to her, and she still had to look up to see his face.
Hmph.
"And you are?" She asked, watching as he piled the sand. She helped a little. "Blessed with the gift of sandcastle making? Fine. Let's see your skills then." | |

Yep, clearly she wasn't blessed. "I happen to be one of the lucky few." The world would be a boring place if EVERYONE had the gift, wouldn't it? He was a lucky young man.
Dark eyebrows knitting together, the Head Boy focused on the task at hand. He would show her. Show her how AWESOME he was. HAH. He didn't really know if he'd been blessed.. or if he had a gift but he DID live right next to a beach. That had to count for something, right?
"Patience is the key," he started, brown eyes on the castle which didn't quite look like a ... castle yet. YET. "These things musn't be rushed."

If it was possible, Sabrina would have arched her eyebrows even further up, but since it wasn't, she let them drop. She stuffed a giggle when he declared he was one of the lucky few blessed with the art of sandcastle making and when she noticed his face, set in concentration, Sabrina found it harder to contain it. A few soft giggles escaped her lips, but she managed to beat the rest of them back in.
Watching intently as though she was learning an important skill about how to tackle life, Sabrina edged closer to the pile of sand, just a little, and stopped helping him. He's going to have to do it all by himself, obviously. If she helped, it would be cheating.
"I won't interrupt." She reassured him.
It wasn't really going to be all that helpful, he was as hopeless as her. HAHAA!
Besides, if it looked like he was making too much progress, she could always thwart his plans. | |

He had to get this right. Absolutely perfect. Especially after all that nonsense about being blessed he'd so stupidly gone and spouted. Now he'd look like a big idiot when and if this went all wrong. BLEH.
That giggling he could hear was slightly distracting though.. why in the world was she giggling anyway!? Gah, girls were so strange. He could do this. He had practically grown up on the beach after all.
"It's fine," he murmured when she said she wouldn't interrupt. "Us gifted folk, we were made to work well under pressure." ... where was all this coming from? Stupid brain.
Head tilting to one side, Clifford eyed the ... mess he'd made. This really wasn't looking so good. Uhm.

And, gently leading Lissy by the hand, Fyo made his way away from the sandbox, feeling glad that he had his Butterfly by his side. And would have her forever, too, he really hoped.
