"I try not to look at you at all Denton." Evolette replied, glaring at the Hufflepuff. So what if he was a Prefect? So what if he was taller than her? So what if he had kissable lips? She still didn't like him....and she could NOT for the life of her, remember why.

So why was he talking to her? Couldn't he just be nice and let her suffer in silence? Bah. She should really leave.... but she remained rooted to the spot.

Flipping her hair off of her shoulder, she looked away from his general direction.

Cassadee frowned at the retreating figure, hands on her hips. She had stopped squishing the sand castle, and stood, letting her knee-high black Dr. Martens sink into the soft sand. This was not good. Mum had always said that if you started something, you were supposed to finish it yourself, but this boy wasn't listening to the rules! Very bad. She stared, squinting almost at the boy... Before taking action.

Leaping from the scattered remains of her pitiful castle, she leaped onto the boy's back, clinging on piggy-back style just barely with her fingers. Wrestling out his hand from his impeccably blonde hair, she bared her vicious fangs - and bit his index finger.

Hard.

As he was walking away from the crazy midget girl as slow as he possibly could without her noticing, Seth knew that he had this whole escape plan in the bag. There was no way that a mere eleven year old girl could put two and two together to get four. In this case, notice that he was slowly inching away from her and the now destroyed sandcastle. Well the girl could notice that he was leaving, but what could she do about that? Absolutely nothing! That just had to be a fact simply because when he was younger Seth was practically helpless when it came to getting what he wanted … when it came to his father, anyway.

Then he noticed when he had his back turned to the girl something that Seth wished he would never have to see again. Ever since the whole incident with some acorn pelting, the current sixth year that was staring right at him like some idiot was one thing that the blonde had never wanted to see ever again. Dominic Denton. If that kid had any brains in him at all, he’d look away right now. Just because Denton was jealous that he didn’t have the perfect hair that Seth had, didn’t give him the right to stare at it whenever he wanted. Perhaps an acorn to the head would remind him of a thing or two?

“AAAH!!”

Before he could do anything to solve the whole issue with Denton staring at him, Seth had been attacked from behind by … that midget girl! Falling down into the sand beneath him headfirst, Seth tried to get the girl off him with a struggle (which had caused some sand to get in his mouth). He had totally underestimated what the girl could actually do and the fact that she had just bit his finger made matters even worse. “OUCH!” he shouted as quite a bit of sand flew right out of his mouth. “What was that for, you twerp?”

Cassadee spit out his finger - gross! It tasted just like her mom's hair gel, only in a stronger concentrate, since she had only licked the bottle quickly for a dare. She got up on her feet, and crossed her arms again. "You're supposed to help me with smooshing my castle. Then making another one." She replied, very s-l-o-w-l-y, as if it should have been obvious. And well, it should have! When you destroyed a sand castle, it was tradition that you smooshed it flat and then made a new one, then smooshed it flat and then - well, you got the idea.

"Well? If you don't help me, I'll bite your hair off." Cassadee threatened, looking over the boy who was sprawled on the sand, spitting out sand from his mouth. He had perfect hair like her mum's, blonde that was styled with too many hair sprays, gels, and so on.

Gasp! Was he a girl?!

From a distance, Constantine was leaning against a tree watching the wonderful scene unveil before his eyes. He watched in amazement as the first year girl managed to take the older boy down. And then she bit him. Hm.

Cue.

"Oi!" he called out, walking up towards the sandbox. Sweet merlin, did he really have to teach children how to play nice? In a sandbox? Really!? "What in the world are you doing?"

Looking at his index finger while keeping another eye on the girl just to make sure she didn’t decide to bite his other again, Seth was tempted to run off to the hospital wing. Just like with the acorn-pelting incident of 2066. For all he knew, this girl had rabies and he could be seriously harmed and, most important, he could lose all the hair on his head because of the bite. However, he continued to sit in the sandbox. If the girl was going to end up attacking him when he got up, then there was no point in even trying to leave. The little devil had figured him out and she did not even know his own name, which was both bad and good.

Staring at the girl with a blank expression on his face, the Hufflepuff counted help but shake his head at what the girl was saying to him. He had to help her make a sandcastle, destroy it, and repeat the whole process all over again. What did she think he was? A little girl like herself? Crossing his arms (while having the small hope that his finger wouldn’t fall off), the male shook his head some more. There was no way that a mere girl was going to get him to help her build a sandcastle and all that other jazz. In fact, there was no way she was going to succeed in getting her way.

That was until she threatened to bite his perfect hair off, which he was sure she could actually do.

Rolling his eyes with a rather loud grunt, Seth replied, “Fine! I help you build a bloody sandcastle. Okay? … Just keep your filthy, little hands away from my hair. Got it … whoever you are?” A girl that was extremely tiny had threatened Seth Paton, and she had succeeded almost instantly. It looks like some little kiddies need to stop watching crime shows that had plenty of interrogations in them, especially the little girl that was sitting right in front of him. Then Masterson came along. Oh, just greeeat. “Erm … we were just going to … uhh … build a sandcastle, sir.”

Cassadee frowned, crossing her arms as the old dude walked up in front of both of them. "He smooshed my sand castle! If you smoosh someone's sand castle," She said, whipping around to face the boy and give him a dirty look, "You're supposed to smoosh it to the ground, completely. Then you help build a new one." She said, staring down at the tall boy, while trying to explain the whole process of sand-castle creation to the old guy.

Funny, he looked like the guy sitting at the staff table during the big first dinner where she'd eaten practically all the mashed potatoes.

"And so he's supposed to help me. But then he tried escaping, so I had to chase him down." Cassadee finished defiantly, crossing her arms.

Okay, was it a bit too obvious that she'd watched too many action movies? Probably, yes.

"You," he pointed to the boy, "you stop talking before I take points away for being knocked down by an eleven year old. Seriously, that's not right," he shook his head and sighed. Man, these boys needed meat and lots of it.

He turned back to the girl and listened to her as she explained. "I think you're missing something in that sentence. He stepped on your sandcastle...you chased him down, took him down," he threw the boy another shameful look, "and then bit him. You forgot the biting part. Now, seeing as you're new here...I'll only take 5 from Ravenclaw. I catch you doing it again, you and I will have oodles of fun in detention and you'll lose even more points for your house. You can't just...bite people, it won't be allowed here. Now, let me here some apologies here and you can get on with your...sandcastle building."

Okay, granted it was a bit sad that a girl that was much younger than him had takled him. Yeah, Seth got the point of that, and he didn’t need Masterson telling him that. In addition, there was no way that the old mad could take away points away from Hufflepuff if he continued to talk after what had just happened before his own eyes. That just was not a good enough reason! Then again, since when did Seth Paton give a hoot about house points? Honestly, he never did. However, since Hufflepuff was already in the negatives (which seemed to be the case whenever the new term began), he kept his mouth shut. Ugh, this sucked big time! If he just would’ve crawled up to his dormitory like he had always done, this definitely wouldn’t be a living nightmare.

As the groundskeeper moved on to scolding the girl after explaining in a few simple worlds that it just wasn’t right for a girl to be successful in tackling a guy, Seth couldn’t help but think of one word. Failure. Taking practically being a ‘failure’ because of the whole tackling issue, the blonde just sat in the sand and waited for Masterson to rattle off his little speech and take away some house points. Maybe the girl would take down Masterson when his back was turned due to him taken points from her. She was naïve enough, especially after she had recently attacked him without a problem…

Then it was apology time.

Feeling like a little kid with having to be told to apologize to a girl that had pretty much done all the damage over the past few minutes, Seth quietly took in a deep of fresh air and slowly exhaled. Was he even allowed to speak? Taking the risk, Seth quickly glanced and Masterson and then looked at the girl. “Sorry for stepping on your sandcastle,” the seventeen year old said, fighting the great temptation of rolling his eyes at how silly this was. “Next time I’ll make sure to watch were I’m walking more carefully.”

Cassadee stared at her toes, a pout on her lips and her arms crossed. She had to apologize?! and there were points at this school?! What was this, a game?! This was... This was outrageous! It was like putting a cherry on top of a scoop of strawberry-flavored icecream! It was pointless! However, the word detention had a looming, big, fat, ugliness about it, so Cassadee pursed her lips, before muttering, "Sorry."

Plopping down on the sand, she doodled on it, frowning. Great. Another day ruined by something weird happening. First the whole incident with that boy and whether or not he threw a jelly bean at her, then this. Pooey.

Constantine watched as both of them apologized. "There. Happy ending. Now...build a sandcastle and play nice. And you," he pointed to the boy again, "don't worry about the whole tackling thing. I shouldn't be talking as I was tackled by my wife into the snow a couple years ago, so I retract my comment. There, now, I need to go take Roma for a walk. Have fun," he gave a small smile before walking towards his hut.

Witty remark. Dominic had to remind himself again why he didn't like her. Oh right - she was a conceited little bratty, cunning Slytherin who was way too full of herself. Granted he was majority of those things as well (minus the Slytherin bit), but there was no way Dominic would admit that.

Plus. She was a threat to him being most good-looking. Granted, her own delicate features were really not bad at all.

"Key word. Try." He reminded her, musingly, watching her toss her hair. Conceited. "But hardly succeeding, eh, McKenna?" He grinned wryly, before tousling his own hair and then looking smugly towards the scene between blondie and first year.

That was when he realized where he knew the boy from. Seth Paton. The kid was a prefect just before he was, when he was a fourth year. The kid also happened to levitate him and make him completely nauseous. To which he countered with some acorn pelting that resulted in a black eye. Ah... Yes, that was AMAZING!

Besides the fact that after that, he pretty much hadn't talked to Seth since. Too bad because Seth was a nice kid.

Who was also evidently a bit of a drama queen. Biting his lip to refrain from laughing as the younger girl took him down and bit him, he shook his head and looked away so as to pretend he was not eavesdropping. Especially with the Groundskeeper in the area...

Speaking of which... that girl was in Ravenclaw!? Neo Masterson - Best friend of Caleum Myers, aka Role Model number one, just docked five points from Ravenclaw for biting. Hallelujah!


And now. He was leaving. Bummer because Dominic was really itching to find out if the groundskeeper had heard from Caleum later. Poor sixth year missed his first role model ever.

Evolette rolled her eyes in disgust. "It's rather like a train wreck, you simply can not look away, no matter how disgusting it gets." Okay that was a little too mean, and she actually felt bad for saying it.

Really, if she had been looking at him, which, she hadn't. He should be taking it as a compliment. Hello?

"Need I remind you, Denton that YOU were the one to address me, not the other way around?" She didn't get this boy. Not one bit. "If you want me to leave you alone, try leaving me alone."

"Besides." she added, voicing her thoughts now, "If I was looking at you, as you claim that I was, I must have a reason." Bet he never thought of that. HMPF.

Dominic frowned at her analogy which he really didn't quite get. Was that supposed to be a compliment or an insult? Nonetheless, she was still talking to him. And it was friendly enough banter to allow for further talk on his side too.

"Perhaps I did speak to you first, but I certainly did not address you first, since you were the one to use my name before I used yours." He reminded her lightly. He would leave her alone, except he was slightly enjoying this.

"Obviously," he voiced, drawing out his words now, as he rolled his eyes for effect. "Your reason must be because you cannot keep your eyes from my awesome looks. And yes, if you're wondering, this hair gel is from that new beauty shop in Diagon Alley. Primpernelle's, I believe," He added on the last sentence, with more smugness.

What? Was that what he wanted? For her to boost his quite LARGE and rather fragile male ego? Did he REALLY want to go there with her? He had no idea what he was getting himself into.

Calling up a blush, Evolette looked as though she'd been caught. "You're right Dominic, I can deny it no longer. You're just too much for me to handle. I can't help but stare I am in such awe." she replied, breathlessly, blinking her eyelashes, and laying it on thick.

Gag.

Uh huh. Hair gel. Lovely. So his hair wasn't naturally perfect like hers? He just sculpted it to look as such. Gotcha.

Seeing the conceited Slytherin blush was not something he had expected at all! Especially when she played it so well, that his own gullible self was not sure whether she was serious or not. She certainly seemed to mean her words.

Except, the sarcasm. Yes. Dominic was almost sure of it. "Prove it." He replied, just gazing back into her deep blue eyes, as if daring her to put truth to her words. Truthfully though, he hoped not.

Especially when she didn't seem phased at ALL by the hair gel comment. And to think it was meant to impress her. She probably thought he needed the gel. Which he didn't, but it smelled good.

"Prove it?" Evolette asked, blinking at him, attempting, and succeeding to look crestfallen. "How shall I prove it?" she added, "After I stand here, and profess my true hidden feelings for you, you tell me to prove it?" she sniffed. Considering dropping a few tears, but deciding against it. Nahh. TOO thick.

But hey, she was doing good. For a few minutes there, it looked as if Denton didnt know whether she was telling the truth, or not. He had really made it too easy.

But how exactly was she meant to prove it? Picking up a handful of sand and dropping it into that perfectly yummy hair of his would suffice her, but as she had just been privy to the wrath of the Groundskeeper, she apt not to get into trouble.

"We could conjure some up." Vanessa smiled, that would be a good idea. And they could conjure up some pretty ones. She liked pretty things.
"Oooh...Demolishing it?" Vanessa giggled, grinning. That'd be fun. She'd never "demolished" anything before. Mainly because she wasn't that into the breaking things. "That'll be fun." She grinned, playing with the sand.

"I hope I don't get any in my hair though." She mused, frowning a little. That wouldn't be fun. "Eeep....we'll need spades as well." She rolled her eyes, but still smiled. This was going to be fun. Yeey

Reid was walking around the grounds of this strange new institution when he noticed quite a funny site. There was a sandbox. Hogwarts had a sandbox. He stared at it in disbelief, hardly aware that there was anyone else around. Oh he so had to inform Mei Lin, Sakura and his friends back home of this fact. And he'd have to take a few pictures as well so that he had proof. Torn between acting proper and getting down and building a sandcastle Reid eventually, cautiously approached the edge of the sandbox. He sat down on it and taking off his shoes and socks while rolling up his pants he placed his feet in the box and squished the sand between his toes. It was a great natural exfoliant.

Vivianne was on her way to Professor Morgan's hut when she passed by a very large sandbox. A what? Sandbox? She wasn't dreaming, there's one for real. Carrying her pet imp's cage on her right, she began walking towards the sand box. She wasn't going to play now. She noticed Reid removing his shoes and socks. The scene was funny, now it looked like a playhouse for children. "Reid," she called.

Cedric want to go to the lake to relax as he notice a enormous sandbox with students playing.Cedric noticed Via so he rushed to the girl."Hey Via?know what's going on here?"Cedric asked curiously.He was puzzled why a such large sandbox place here but he thinks that playing and creating sand castles was fun so maybe he can play too.

"Oh hi Via." Reid said while smiling brilliantly up at the girl and grabbing a pixie stick out of his pocket. He quickly opened the sherbert and ate it. Once that was done he pulled another one out and offered it to her. "Want one? These candies are the best." he informed her as solemnly as he could, well at this point anyway. "Isn't this just crazy? I mean a sandbox how weird is that?"oh man he really shouldn't have had that sugar. It made him hyper and he always acted out of character... That's when he noticed the imp. "Ohhhhhhhhhh that's such a cutttttteeeeeeeeee imp. I want one." he stated petulantly while reaching out to try and play with the creature. "What's his naaaaaaaaaaaammmmmeeeeeeeee?" Reid asked while drawing the word out. Yep definitely too much sugar, he was going to crash so bad later.

Sydney decided to visit the sand box which she heard some students talking about. She chuckled slightly at the sight of the sand box. "It's cute" She said to herself & took of her shoes. She stepped inside the sand box and wiggled her toes which were covered with sand. The fresh morning breeze was breath taking but was making her hair a mess. Sydney took out an elastic band from her bag which hung on her shoulder & tied her brown hair in a pony tail. She just walked around the place looking at other students chatting & enjoying.

Sneeze looked up. "Hey, Dem. How's everything?" He had made a couple towers trying to make a Hogwarts model. "I like this place. Good for when your stressed."

Cedric walked towards the girl who is alone.Maybe he needs some companion.He thought."Hello there?"Cedric said greeting the girl.He thought that the girl was a first year student that he didn't know some other students.
