There's a large grassy area outside of the Quidditch Stadium that's void of any obstacles whatsoever. At the center of the vast expanse of grass are two rows of school brooms lined up neatly. But standing guard over the brooms is Professor Vindictus who has positioned himself so that no one can even get near or touch a broom without his permission.

If you're here for your first-ever flying lesson or are a non-Quidditch player who never mastered flying for whatever reason and feel the need for a refresher basic course, then have a seat on the grass in front of the professor.

Lucy walked out onto the grounds, hyped about the flying lesson today. She had missed the first lesson due to circumstances, but she was free right now. Walking over to the pitch she sat down on the bench, next to another Slytherin.

Chris Potter walked into the flying lesson hopeful that it would go well. He smiled at Anna and Clifford and then smiled at Resse, the only people he really knew that were there. He picked a seat close to these three and waited for the class to begin.

Plymouth Morgan moseyed down to flying class. Maybe this would be the day that Professor V would teach him how to blow the whistle instead of getting on to him about his grip on the broom. Last class had been SO successful - Plym was sure it would pay off. Plymouth was much of a sitter-downer, so he paced around checking out things.

William shuffled along, his mind in the clouds as he walked to the next flying class. He was actually looking forward to it, the last one had gone alright, he hadn't fallen anyway. Making it safely he perched himself next to someone and waited.

Herminny was quite excited to attend flying class after the horrible turn out for the quiddich game. She could'nt wait to be able to hit the open air with her dark brown hair flowing in the wind. As she made her way on to the pitch she saw wooden benches and took a seat on one of them and waited for class to start.

Elizabeth made her way onto the practice pitch for class, feeling like she needed rain boots or something just to get around the school lately. As it was, her knowledge of cleaning spells was getting stronger, as well as drying spells. Simply from trying to save her shoes from the school.

Arriving at the benches, she glanced around, noticing how Clifford seemed to be trying to avoid Anna, Reese was with the Slytherin seeker, several other students were arriving, and Willow seemed to be struggling not to go after the bats. The last part made her grin a little, and she made her way to a bench just behind her captain. Not that she was going to be stupid enough to annoy her, since who knew when retailiation might happen when it came to the sixth year. But at least she could keep an eye on things. And so much the better if Dominic showed up.

Clifford didn't know what was scarier. Willow 'THE BONE CRUSHER' Kovac clearly eyeing up those bats, or Anna Greingoth suddenly appearing next to him. They were both up there on the scale, that was for sure. Scary.

TOO scary. Clifford wasn't a brave ~~boy~~ man. Nope, not brave in the slightest. That's why he moved. Just as fast as Greingoth had appeared to pop out from mid-air.. he vanished into it.

Panicking, he scooted on further down the bench. EEEEEK!

Dani skipped onto the Practice Pitch. Her newly discovered love of flying on her mind. She wondered who all would be at the lesson. Maybe her friends would be there. Hmm. She found an empty seat a little away from other people. She preferred to be alone most of the time. Maybe it was because she recognised some of the strange older kids. There were brooms and bats? Ooo fun! She sat there waiting impatiently.

Vindictus snuck into the practice area through a lesser-known side entrance and found himself standing BEHIND the class.

"Welcome to today's lesson on Quidditch basics!" his voice boomed enthusiastically. And one look at his sparkling blue eyes and mischevious grin revealed that he was up to something. But what?

"Who can tell me what's in the box? And no, we're not playing Muggle baseball."

Dani raised her hand. "Is it food Sir??" She was hungry. She had missed eating to do homework and now seemed as good a time to get food. Right? It didn't really seem likely that it would be food. But she figured it was as good a guess as any.

Reese jumped a little bit when she heard Professor Vindictus' voice. She raised her eyebrow when she didn't see the Professor anywhere. Then, she figured he might be BEHIND them. She turned her head and smiled to herself when she saw the Professor. He was a sneaky Professor. She didn't even see him come in!

She looked down at the box and then raised her hand. "Is it Quidditch supplies?" She asked.

Lyra sat down and clapped her hands! The look on Professor V's face was classic and she was loving it. "Like....Quidditch stuff so that we could like...learn to play Quidditch?" No one had really taught her before and as many times as she'd watched her uncle when she was younger, that was just unheard of. It was a good thing Agie taught her well on a broom.

Lucy was so busy paying attention to a butterfly that had just flew past that her that when she heard the voice of Professor Vindictus, she nearly fell off her seat. but she turned around to face him along with the rest of the class.

Examining the box Lucy raised her hand to answer the professors question. "I believe it's the qudditch supplies sir." She said.

Mmmm, flying lesson. Fyo was getting better at Quidditch with each passing day, and he was sure this was going to be pretty awesome. "Quidditch equipment, sir?" he guessed, raising a hand. "Such as quaffles, beaters' bats etc., some of the essentials of Quidditch."

Raising her hand, Anna said, "Are those...beater bats, sir?" That's what they looked like from the angle she was sitting at. For all she knew, though, there could be lots of other supplies in that crate, as well. She tried to see them a bit better from the spot she'd chosen to sit in, but the view wasn't all that great. "Beater bats...and maybe the balls used in Quidditch?"

"Very good, Anna. That's a point for Gryffindor," Vindictus finally replied and walked over to the crate that was clearly full of just Beater's bats.

"And what do you hit with a Beater's bat during a game without being penalized?"

"Bludgers!" Dani exclaimed happily, raising her hand. She was rather disappointed in the lack of food though, but bats and bludgers were fun too.

"Quidditch is so violent," Plymouth mumbled. Meanwhile, he picked at a spot on his sweater and made faces at the pretty girls in class. "hehe - Bludgers! But I've seen PEOPLE get hit when the ref wasn't looking. Not you though, Professor V. You're ALWAYS looking. "

Aaron knew these. They were easy. he IS on the reserve Quidditch team. he rased his hand non chalontley. "That would be bludgers, professor." What an easy question. Perhaps he shouldn't be here...

"Very good. A point each for Ravenclaw, Slytherin and Gryffindor," Vindictus said and wrote the points down on his clipboard. "I want each of you to grab a bat and return to your seats."
