"Eeek!" Hoorah. What day is it, "Conjuring-And-Throwing-Objects-That-Hit-People-In-The-Head" day? Bleh. Without any hesitation, the girl gave the rabbit pinata a hearty whack, then moved on to the others. Her head was still spinning a bit from the impact of the bat earlier.

Selena banged her own bat into the pink shoe, thinking about her friends' expression if they ever see her flying around swatting pinatas. Oh yeah, Lumiere's face would be hilarious, what with her being a professional Quidditch player and all. She could almost see the pale French girl hovering in front of her right now, her hazel eyes wide and her stark white face showing utter comical horror. But then, she won't get to see them for a very long time...

As the spider receive a bat, the girl felt tears welling up inside her own gray eyes. These days, she have been avoiding thinking about Rose, Alex and Hito at all. Every time she does, it only resulted in more pain. So far, Rena have been good, but she have already caused enough trouble. It was because of her that her own mother have to abandon her country and flee to Britain...

Selena had to wrap it up by focusing on the two remaining pinatas, the parrots. Dividing whacks nicely, she stopped moving around and hover in the air waiting for Vindictus to give some more directions or target.

As Dominic had just swung the bat and it connected with the muggle tennis ball, soaring back at Willow, he blinked in astonishment when the ball disappeared. At first he wondered if perhaps his fellow sixth year did not like the game and maybe vanished the ball, but then he heard Vindictus' voice instructing them to grab a school broom and line up. Oh they were going to be flying now!! How thrilling! But what was that thing he was instructing Plymouth to ride today? Poor Plymouth; even if Dominic never really got along with the Sixth Year Ravenclaw, having to ride such an embarrassing training broom... SIGH! Anyone could feel bad. Even if Plymouth didn't seem to mind and was way too enthusiastic to cooperate with his head of house. Maybe it wasn't Dani who got hit with a tennis ball . . .

Oh... Well that was probably smart of Vindictus to not send bludgers at them when they were just learning; he had after all, just really started in the Beater position today. His quidditch experience did help him a little though, for that he was grateful.

Piñatas?! Interesting.... Something was inside and Dominic had a feeling he wouldn't really like it. Though they were unbreakable right now, so why not have at it? Maybe then Kaika would see that he was capable of swinging a bat!



Though just as the sixth year was about to fly towards the yellow ducky and whack it with his bat, something flew down right at HIM!! Dodging the Gryffindor Fifth Year (Jack), Dominic flew around to come at from a good angle, getting his bat ready, holding it low as he held onto his broom with one hand.

. . . a Giant Black SPIDER!?!?

Blinking at the arachnoid, he shook his head, grateful for once that he was not scared of the insect and thinking it could have been worse. Besides, it wasn't as if the spider was alive anyway. It was only a piñata, stuffed with some unknown substance.

Once the spider fell within a foot of him, right as it could have very easily unseated him, Dominic swung his bat which connected with the spider and sent it SOARING at a Ravenclaw who was just sitting and waiting, evidently for the action to come to him.

Yes. The spider Piñata was flying right to William Cullack.

Satine watched as a million and one...well not really that many...but pretty dang close... Muggle Pinatas flew into the air and started appearing at random intervals. She thought it was pretty ironic that a butterfly pinata happen to fly in her direction...butterflies were her favorite thing in the whole world...but this was an awkward looking thing and she decided this was a sign that beating up this butterfly was her mission.

She felt like she was in a shoot out...no more like a jousting tournament.... and it was just her and the butterfly and there could only be one left standing...or flying... at the end of the battle. She flew up to where she could see the white...do they have whites?...hmmm...she thought...of the butterfly's eyes and then flew forward as quickly as she could. Right before she reached the menacing pinata she slammed on the breaks and skidded to a slowed down speed to just tap the pinata with her broom.

*BAM BAM BAM*

Okay so maybe not tap but beat the crap out of the butterfly, but the only problem was as soon as she "bammed" it the butterfly flew forward...so now it was a game of cat and mouse....

Giant Birds! Say What?! Dani flew forward, smacking them as hard as she could. She couldn't hit very hard though. She laughed as Plymouth started screaming at the pinatas. Then she went after the one in front of her again. At least there were no peanut pinatas. That would be terrifying. Peanuts were just scary. She eyed the other students as they fought similar foes and looked back at the Professors laughing face. Wow. That was a sight she hadn't seen before. She turned back to Plymouth and his hopless tirade at the pinatas. This lesson was fun.

At least Will could sit on a broom over the ground without falling off. It was a start; a pretty good one at that he thought as he looked around not really knowing why he was doing it, but it felt normal to be sitting there ignoring everyone and everything.

He was looking up at a bird when he heard a strange slapping sound. Looking down, around, everywhere he saw the spider pinata come flying at him, moving way too fast for him to soar out of the way. As if in slow motion he watched as it hit his broom stick, sending him flying through the air. He didn't know what happened next; the last thing he remembered was flying free before gravity kicked in and he hit the ground. If he hadn't been only five feet from the ground it would have hurt, but instead he lay there gasping.

Did anyone get the license plate number of that shuttle craft?" He asked as he sat up, the world spinning.

Anna flew a good lap around the pitch, eyeing the pinatas and trying to determine which one she'd try and go for next. The bunny looked like a good choice, so she circled around it a bit, waiting for Selena to have a good go at it first. When the girl seemed to have abandoned it for a different pinata, Anna took off towards the bunny. She raised her bat and lined the tip of it up with the bunny's nose, similiar to what she'd done with the tennis balls and targets earlier. She grew closer and closer, eyeing the poor bunny with an evil look in her eyes all the while. When she was close enough, she reached back...THWACK!

She did hit the bunny, of course...even directly on the nose like she'd aimed for. What she hadn't counted on is that bunny bouncing back with just as much force as she'd hit it with. It first swung backwards, then flew forwards and right towards her. The tip of its ear decked her right in the cheek, and she gasped in pain. "Ow, you idiot!" she yelled at it. Ugh. The nerve of some pinatas.

Aaron was floating watching the pinatas appear. When he was little he LOVED pinatas... And he still does. Yes, we get to kick the crap out of pinatas. He looked at the butterfly one which was floating over to Satine. He laughed. She loved those. He then took the bat out from under his armpit and held it in his right hand. He then started drifting to the right. Hey, hey, hey, hey!!! Woah, woah! He then shifted his weight a little more to the left to balance himself out. That's better. He practiced swing then darted immeadietly towards the duck. It looked too innocent. He just had to whack it.


WHAM!!!

It felt like he hit it hard enough that it WOULD open, but it didn't. He then regained his balance, still flying, did a U-Turn and went for the duck again. This time, he ducked down and then came up and whacked it from underneath. HAHA! YEAH!!!

he then slowed down and floated above the duck looking for another one to whack.

Vindictus watched as the students hit the piñatas back and forth. Even Plymouth was somewhat resembling a novice Quidditch player. "Atta boy, Plym! Hit them birdies with all you've got!" he shouted and then saw Dominic blast the spider towards William. "Nicely done, Dominic! Easy on the butterfly, Satine! Lyra, you have to hit the pink shoe, not pet it!"

But then he overheard a ranting Gryffindor and his mood suddenly soured.

"Young lady, are you questioning my ability to care for school equipment?" he asked sternly and folded his arms.

Lyra's eye widened. She didn't want to hit the pretty PINK shoe, but she didn't want anyone else to hit it either so she came up with a plan. She began to think of the worst thing that had happened so far at this school this year: The ickle GREEN water that tried to ruin her shoes.

She pulled back with her arm and...

THWACK!

THWACK!THWACK!

THWACK!THWACK!THWACK!THWACK!

That GREEN water was NOT going to ruin her shoes! No sir. "How as that?" Using this bat was a lot of fun! What else could she hit?

"Go rescue Plymouth from the birds," Vindictus called back to Lyra while he waited for the Gryffindor girl to answer him. "Cat got your tongue?"

Dani smiled at the Professor. "Don't worry Lyra! I've got the birds!" She smacked Plymouths as well as the one in front of her, switching off. But she wasn't doing any damage. "On second thought, I could use some help over here!" She shouted in the general direction of Lyra. She was being swarmed by giant pinata birds. "Plymouth heeeeelppppp." Oh noes. This was not good. She couldn't hit them hard enough to do any real damage. They were closing in on her. There was nothing she could do. Why her? Why couldn't they go after Plymouth?

Bunny piñata, arrggghh.

Fyo swerved, managing - YAY! - to avoid the FuzzyCute thing, before turning back to chase it and, with a whoosh and a swing of his bat, send it thwaackking through the air. This was definitely one of the best classes he had been to, in a while!

Now for the duckie. Fyo let his eyes scan the place and, once he had spotted the piñata in question, began to make his through-the-air way towards it. Hey, maybe he could even hit TWO piñatas, at the same time, if he managed to find a chance. For now, though..

ThaaaWAACKK!

"I...uh...well, in a way." Aislynn couldn't catch her she was getting really dizzy. She stepped backwards. She closed her eyes and took deep breaths. She looked the professor once more and handed over the broom. "I just..."--she saw black spots--"...I just think you should get this one looked at."

Her eyes began to flutter. She didn't know what was happening. It felt like everything around her was spinning.

"Have you ever flown before?" Vindictus asked. "Because these brooms aren't defective and go through constant inspection and recertification for use." But he saw the girl sway. "Perhaps you should sit down on the bench and rest. Those unaccustomed to flying usually get sick."

"I'm.."--her stomach churned a bit--"...I'm...Oh no!" Aislynn looked at the professor in horror. She slapped her hand to her mouth and began looking around. There was a large tree and she hurried and ran behind it. What was churning in her stomach reached the surface.

She cleaned it up with her wand and went back over to where the Professor was. She was still light-headed and couldn't even walk a strait line back over. When she was a few feet away she kind of stumbled and just sat in the grass. "Ugh...I hate flying," she said to herself. She didn't look up at the Professor, but could feel his presence. "I'm so sorry," she said quietly.

"Just sit on the bench and rest," Vindictus said and used his wand to cause the puke to vanish. "COME ON AND HIT THOSE PINATAS!"

Dani heard the Professor, but all she could see was pinatas. "They're tryin to keeeel meeeee!!!!!!" She swatted randomly, feeling her bat collide with them on occassion and hoping that she wasn't hitting other people. Where were Plymouth and Lyra. She was claustrophobic, and they were gonna get her. There was nowhere to go.

Like a conductor with an orchestra before him (in this case, students and pinatas), Vindictus lifted his arms and with a simple swish and flick, a bright pink light appeared around the pinatas for about five seconds and then vanished. The protective spell had been lifted. Now it was only going to take fifteen to twenty hard hits to break open each pinata and for the candy to rain down on the students.

What?! So, the boy could totally play with a bat, then. Greeeeeeeaaaaaat. Which position wasn't he good at?

And a piñata almost hit her thanks to that distraction. Ugh. How annoying.

Now this was something she never heard of: Piñatas killing people. Nice. As interesting as the thought of witnessing it sounded, Kaika went over to the girl side and the birds were flying away now, their next target unknown.

"Careful with the bat" she said, as she zoomed away, "Wouldn't want to hurt people, would you?" and winked. Surely, the girl wouldn't mind hitting Dominic with it....

But looooooook...Kaika's eyes narrowed when something pink, because yes, that was pink, was showing around the piñatas, and then vanished...was it wise to hit something that was touched by pinkness?

"Thank you!" Dani yelled after the girl. Now that the pinatas were seperated, she took off after one of them, holding her bat tightly in her right hand. She smacked it as hard as she could and heard a THUNK. That was different. It must have had something to do with the pink light. She smacked it again and looked around at the others. Was that girl fighting a giant shoe?

"Not a problem!" she exclaimed, and since the girl was alright after hitting a piñata, Kaika decided it was worth to try, still suspicious about that pinkish light, though.

And...she smacked the bat as hard as she could to the duckie piñata and it felt...different...like they could actually harm them this time.

Time to hit other piñatas, then. Where were the birdies ones?

Selena zoomed around the pitch, giving each pinata a whack. The sound and the feeling was totally different. She knew that Professor Vindictus have lifted the protective spell off... or had he? Oh well, it's still her duty to crush 'em. () She wanted to bat something to pieces and try to distract herself from an upcoming surge of guilt and pain for thinking about her friends.

Suddenly, she felt nauseous but that, obviously, was not because of the fact that she was flying. An ice cold sensation was spreading inside her body, and Selena let out a shocked gasp. Oh no, not here, so many students... She thought in panic. Her eyes were no longer gray as she knew it, but they were slowly turning into pitch black. You are not going to harm anyone, The girl growled in her thoughts, focusing the mightiest in order to drive out her inner demon and still pretending like everything is lovely. Anyone who looked closely (in fact, none could since she was flying with enough speed to reduce herself to a blur so seeing her eyes was impossible) could notice that Selena's eyes were flashing rapidly between being black and being gray.

Finally, she managed to push that sensation down, but only for a little bit. I'm going to need a private place later for half-unleashing this thing. She shuddered in revulsion, while the monster in her heart growled in appreciation of the fact that it could be free for a moment.

Dominic could very easily have just flown off and attacked a different piñata; he already had one good hit on the spider, so why not attack that evil looking butterfly? Or the PINK shoe? Because both those objects were surely worthy of being hit. Though the sound of a smack from where he hit the spider to had the sixth year turning around in time to see the young Ravenclaw flying through the air and landing on his back.

UH OH! Now Kaika will NEVER put me as beater!

But wait, what!? The boy was FINE! Almost. Except that he was definitely asking about . . . a shuttle craft? Oh dear, this boy didn't fly much, did he? Flying closer to him, Dominic shook his head. "Need a rest, boy? Cause that was no shuttle craft. Just a giant spider." Whoops! Maybe he shouldn't have said that . . .

Aha! What was that!? A nicely done, Dominic!

Dominic couldn't help himself but feel slightly smug at the praise had to shoot a small gloating look towards his captain. Something that he would probably regret since she did have a somewhat harmful look on her expression. But clearly, he was just awesome . . . with or without a bat, he didn't need one. It just made things more . . . convenient.

Oh what was that!?! . . . Dominic blinked upon seeing a certain bright pink light filtering around the piñatas but then fading. Some kind of force-field. What HAD Vindictus done? No time to contemplate though, because a certain DUCKY piñata was heading his way.

The sixth year prepped himself, holding the bat low and keeping focus with his flying while simultaneously watching the piñata . . .

SMACK!

The duck piñata felt the same to him as the spider one, but then again, he was a little inexperienced in the area of beating. Ah well, no time to think on that; where was that butterfly?

Aaron saw the pink light around the pinatas. What the heck was that? Oh well. Aaron shot for the ducky again.

WHACK!!!

Hang on. Aaron stopped and looked back at the pinata. There was a small crack in it. Oh yeah. It's on NOW, Mr. Ducky. He made a tight circle around the ducky and reached out his arm and kept whacking it.

There were many dents and cracks in this ducky. Surely this last one would do it. He looked down to make sure that Professor Vindictus was watching. He turned around, gained speed going the other way, popped a U turn, shot strait at the pinata and WHACK!!!.

He had too much speed to look around right after he hit it, so he didn't know if it was broken...

Satine knew that her arms were going to be sore in the morning, but she was having a blast beating the crap out of butterfly pinata. I mean it's not eeryday that a professor encourages you to take out all of your tension and it's for participation in their class. She continued trying to demolish the pinata and then chasing after it as it flew through sky with each hit.

*deep breath and wind up again*

Then a pretty pink light outlined the pinata. At first, it startled Satine and she almost fell off of her broom. She got everything straightened out and then looked around to see if anyone else was shocked. She quickly noticed that his was her opportunity to break the pinata and see what was inside.

Satine backed her broom up in the air so that she could get a running..wait no a flying...start at the pinata.

1....2....3.....GO! she thought in her head as she flew forward as fast as she could and them with the best windup yet slammed into the pinata popping of the left wing and making the head slam backwards only attached with a single piece of pinata paper.

Suddenly an array of purple, pink, blue, and yellow candies fell from the sky and started raining...well...really more flooding the students below.

"Watch out below" Satine yelled down to the students on the ground and giggled as she flew down to the ground to grab up all the candy she possibly could...how crappy would that be if she didn't get any candy after all of this hard work?
