Vanessa was there as well, inside the compartment, talking to... Kiri had to suppress the instinct to hide behind Miles. Vanessa was talking to Raiden. More than that, in fact. Raiden had just bestowed a big hug on her.

Kiri wondered whether she should just continue onwards, but Miles had, obligingly, already made room for her. Feeling herself blush (Why!?), Kiri gave Vanessa and Raiden a small wave.

Stepping back from hugging Vannie Corbette, Raiden looked around her at Miles Parker. And... there next to him was Kiri. Raiden's stomach did a little bit of a twist and he struggled to keep his smile from fading. It wasn't that he was unhappy to see Kiri... it was just a surprise.

"K-Kiri," Raiden said softly, giving her a little wave too and moving to sit down again. "Wanna come in and sit down with me? And... well I guess Vannie Corbette and Miles Parker are gonna stay too, right?"

He didn't like the oddly awkward feeling of being around Kiri. It hadn't been there in the beginning of term. Why did it have to be here now?

And er, hi Miles," she added, sitting down on the window seat opposite Raiden.

She looked at Raiden. At least, she tried to. Whenever their gazes met, Kiri dropped her eyes. Or looked outside. Or at the other two. She smiled at Raiden self-consciously. What was he thinking about?

"Umm... how are you?" she asked quietly. Ugh. To Vanessa and Miles, the whole situation had to appear extremely weird and awkward. And it did to Kiri, too. They hadn't really had problems talking to each other before. Of course, things were a little different now. For the thousandth time, Kiri played a silly what-if game in her head. What if I hadn't...
"Happy about going back home?"

Shaylee walked to the middle of the train looking for a compartment filled with her friends. She kept walking and didn't find anybody she knew, so she sat down in an empty compartment and took out some candy while she waited for a friendly face.

"what?" Vanessa asked, cocking her head to the side as she stared at Miles. She hadn't quite caught that. She looked around, it seemed like everyone else was stood in the corridors anyway. But she would much rather sit down.
"You can stand out here if you want Miles." Vanessa nodded, flashing him a smile. "I, on the other hand want to go and find people....to say goodbye." She coughed, looking away from him for a second, before smiling again.

As soon as she had stepped into the compartment she knew it had been a good idea. She had hardly seen little Raiden since the start of term, and she had really missed him. She was really going to miss him. "Hey Sweetie." She smiled as he hugged her. It seemed that someone was rubbing off on her. "Thank you." She ruffled her hair a little, and she squeezed him. Lucky boy who'd be coming back next year. "Why are you all on your own? Wheres Kiri?" She asked, as she looked around. That was when she noticed a little small girl stood next to her boyfriend. That was where Kiri was.

She smiled at the girl as she watched her talk to Raiden. It seemed a little awkward, and she couldn't help but Frown. What was wrong? "erm....Guys?" She asked quietly, glancing up at Miles. "Is everything okay?" She looked between them. They'd seemed so not awkward before.

"I don't want to sit down." He finally said properly, but still in a whisper. "I want to walk about and see people rather than just sit in one compartment." Still feeling mopey and unhappy, Miles gave up and followed Vannie into the compartment. Even though he wanted to stay in the corridor so he could see into a lot of compartments, he still didn't want to do it alone, and he kind of wanted to walk off the train with Vanessa anyway.

As Vannie made pleasantries with Raiden, whom she seemed to be good friends with, Miles casually put his hands in his pockets and glanced around the compartment. Vannie was right, Raiden was on his own, Poor kid. Though, Miles couldn't feel as sorry for anyone else enough as himself. He'd picked today to be selfish.

As a petite girl walked into the compartment, it felt like a gloomy cloud had followed her in. Was she leaving? Wait .. no. It was Kiri! YEY! Though, he was going to keep his hugs to himself for the moment, as an awkward silence filled the small space with Kiri and Raiden being rather ... odd. Unless they were always odd, then they were just acting normally. But, Vannie knew Raiden well, and he knew that she could tell when something was wrong.

ZOMG! She had said something.

Miles gave Vannie a little nudge, as if telling her not to ask questions. "Now, Nessa. It's not really any of your business." He bent his back a little to get to her level and mumbled in her ear. "You sure, you .. don't want us to leave?" Miles asked sheepishly in both Raiden and Kiri's direction.

Well... Raiden was slowly becoming sure of one thing. Kissing, while nice in that it made you forget stuff while you were doing it, made everything much, much more awkward afterwards. Actually, he couldn't blame that on kissing so much as blame it on himself. If he weren't so dumb, he wouldn't... like both Cela and Kiri. He would like Kiri as more than a friend, because there was no way Celandine was going to like him as more than a friend.

"Uhm... I was all on my own because nobody else had come in yet," he said brightly, looking at Vannie Corbette. Easy way to avoid staring at Kiri, that. Why was she asking if everything was okay? Of course it was... he wasn't getting sick this time or anything. "Everything's... fine? Are you okay, Vannie Corbette?"

She was probably really... excited or sad. A lot of the graduating people were one or the other. Excited for leaving, and sad for leaving their younger friends behind. A few were really... probably very scared, he'd realised. Scared because they were all adulty and stuff now. He offered Vannie Corbette a reassuring smile, then looked at Miles Parker.

"Why would we want you to leave? You're our friends..."

"You can't just steal the boy I was about to hug! Couldn't you just wait a little bit more? Or look for another one?"

Daphne's eyes welled up with tears as Willow searched for a loophole in the Hogwarts Quidditch rules. She dabbed her eyes with her handkerchief. "Sadly Willow I'll be leaving, failing NEWTs or not. I'm already of legal age." She blew her nose loudly, distraught that she was entering adulthood, leaving Hogwarts behind.

She decided to comfort Willow the best she could, Daphne wasn't, after all, in the best of emotional states. "You'll find someone else, I wasn't even that good. We didn't win," she sobbed, head dropping into her hands. She couldn't help but feel terribly about their defeat.

Ultimately she gathered enough courage and composure to greet them. Wiping away residual tears, she walked towards them. Her face was red and splotchy, but she was unable to gauge her appearance, nor did she particularly care at this moment. "Hi Ellie," she sniffled, waving her hand.

“Jones ! Hi !” The brunette exclaimed in surprised when she heard the Ravenclaw’s voice behind her. To be honest, she actually scared the Slytherin. Ellie was going to ask how the older girl was, but judging by the way Daphne was acting, the answer was a little obvious.
Oh! Ohh, right! Ellie’s brown eyes widen as she realized the reason why the girl was acting like that. “You are graduating… !” the Slytherin said, with her eyes still widen and a surprised expression on her face. But of course ! She had all the reasons to be sad, which she definitely was. “ Oh c’mon Daphne.. don’t be so sad..” Ellie spoke, rather more nicely compared with all the other times she had spoken with the ravenclaw.
Merlin ! It seemed like Daphne was about to cry.

Her brain was so occupied thinking about Blair, the stupid black cat, and Willow and Daphne that Eleanor didn’t even notice Clifford.
Or maybe she had mentally and unconsciously just ignored him. Not that she disliked to be around Clifford, not at all.. But sometimes she just started acting and talking silly around him.
Go figure.

With a smile on her lips, the brunette turned her brown eyes to the older boy, that was .. graduating..
Oh my, Clifford Carden was graduating.. as in.. he was never going to set foot in Hogwarts.
And..and.. that just felt too disturbing to think about at the moment.
There was a way too many people around talking to her and too much noise..she would think about it later.
Now she was just going to say goodbye, she had to say goodbye to Clifford, he was like one of her best male friends.
Ok, he was on top of the list, buuutt that didn’t matter. She had to say goodbye from him.
Right ? Right.

….
But saying goodbye usually means that you are never going to see that person again.
Right now, while everyone was talking and new people approached them, Ellie was having a dilemma. Inside her head, she kept thinking about if she should, or should not say goodbye from Clifford.

And then, that McKenna girl seized the back of Clifford’s shirt, and , out of the blue, tugged him into a random empty compartment. Eleanor fallowed the girl’s move with her eyebrows raised, and when the compartment door was shut in front of her, she felt bad and her heart turned heavy.
Really, really heavy.

The brunette stood still for a minute or two, with her eyes locked on the door trying to imagine what could Evolette McKenna be saying to Clifford.. or.. doing.
Ellie shook her head. Something was seriously wrong with her, she needed to pull herself together.
Deep breath. Much better.
At least her best friend was there .. not. Willow fallowed Evolette and opened the compartment’s door of where she was with Clifford and then walked in.

Deep breath.. deep breath..
Maybe she should just go look for an empty compartment.

Daphne was glad to see Ellie. She wiped away her tears. The girl was right, there were several positive elements to graduating, and she had reasons to not be sad. "Thanks Ellie, I just don't like the change. It'll be so strange not returning. It's been like a home, here," she smiled, recalling all the good times.

She moved closer to Ellie. She seemed somewhat uncomfortable, though the crowded compartment was emptying out. "Are you OK?" she asked, clutching her tissue in her hand. Just because she was a mess didn't mean she didn't care about others.

She glanced between Vanessa and Miles uncertainly, then - big mistake - looked at Raiden. He seemed slightly confused. So maybe he hadn't noticed anything. Kiri was very glad about that.
The camp-out had made everything so complicated! Kiri still wasn't sure whether she regretted her decision (she'd come to think of it as her decision, even thinking the word kiss was nearly impossible), but it had spawned another minefield of awkwardness. She wondered briefly how long the awkwardness would continue. That reminded her of something.

She forced herself to not avoid Raiden as she turned to face him. And she couldn't help but smile slightly. No, she thought, she was not sorry about what'd happened. "Er.. Raiden," she ventured, trying, not very well, to sound casual. "What, um, are your plans for the holidays? When are you going to go to Diagon Alley?" That hadn't been so difficult, had it? Encouraged, Kiri looked at Vanessa and Miles again. They'd be 'fellow students' of hers for only a few more hours. "What about you two? What, um, are you doing next?"

Kevin wandered up to the middle cars and sighed another term at hogwarts over and he was sad at the thought of having to make his way home to dundee alone cause his father was still away in europe somewhere, kevin was hoping that his father was alright

Surely she could sit down, Miles could say goodbye on his own right? She smiled as he followed her into the compartment. She'd go and stand in the corridor later with him if he liked, and then she could say goodbye to some other people to tehhe.
"Miles" She shook her head, leaning up to whisper to him. "There my friends. I'm only asking" She smiled at him. He must have known her well enoguh to know that she wouldn't pry intentionally. She was only being friendly.

"Am I okay?" Vanessa asked, as she sat down next to Kiri, for the had noticed the girl motioning for them to sit down. "I'm....okay...I suppose." She shrugged. Well she was sad yes. Anyone could tell that, she didn't look her usual self. Her hand reached up to touch the necklace around her neck and she smiled a little. "I'm graduating....I should be okay shouldn't I?" She cringed, shaking her head. "I'm gonna miss you two." She pouted. No fair. She wanted to take her friends with her. "You will write to me won't you?"

Then Kiri asked about what they were doing next. Ooh. This is what she could babble about. "I'm doing a internship at St Mungos." She nodded with a smile, her fingers closing around the necklace again. "Oh and I'm going to see Ili-...Professor Morgan tomorrow." She practically beamed at those words, glancing at Miles. He didn't know about that. "What are you doing in the....your holidays Kiri?" She nearly choked on those words. They were holidays to her anymore, for she was never coming back.

Raiden stared resolutely at his legs, tracing a finger up and down the seam on the leg of his jeans as he listened. Vannie Corbette was sad. She was leaving foreeeeever. And therefore, Raiden too was sad.

"Uhm..." Diagon Alley? "I'm not really sure, Kiri. I tried writing my mum a few times over the school year and she didn't answer back. She's the one that takes me, so I guess... I'll find out and owl you when I do?" He looked up from his jeans, gaze moving to her. "As for plans during the summer, I don't really... have anything set out to do. The end of term kinda snuck up on me, so I didn't really... ask anyone if I could spend time at their houses or if they wanted to spend time with me."

Oooh? Vannie Corbette was going to be a St. Mungo's Intern? That was awesome! Raiden grinned widely and sat up a little more. If he got sent to St. Mungo's for anything now, he'd get to see Vannie Corbette!

...not that... he should be hoping for a reason to be in the hospital...

"That sounds like a lot of work, Vannie Corbette," he said, instead of blurting about how much he might get to see her there. "But... well you're Vannie Corbette. So you'll do really well at it. You're smart and nice and stuff too, so I think you'll do really well at St. Mungo's." He nodded. "And I will write to you... a lot. Because I'll miss you a lot, Vannie Corbette."

When Rachel had gone off looking for the graduating prefects, she had expected to run into the sooner rather than later. But carriage after carriage, compartment after compartment, and they were nowhere in sight. She had walked down the WHOLE bloody train - including those areas which are almost always swarming with way too many first and second years; those kids who always seem excited.

Annoyed, slightly put out and a little breathless, the fifth/sixth year headed back the way she had come, intending on asking Willow whether she had seen the Prefects on the train. What if they weren't on it? Ugh, that would SO not be fair since she had basically fought with Jake to let her take the train. He insisted on holding on to this stupid idea of his, that the Express was only for transportation. The train was just as much a part of the term as all the feasts and the weekends. Just because you don't actually learn anything...

As Rachel neared the spot where she had talked to Willow before, she sighed as she saw that there was no more Willow; But there WAS the retreating figure of Dominic Denton. Hmmm... He would probably have wanted to say goodbye to the Prefects too. Or at least, the girl wanted to believe he did.

Checking in both compartments to either side of her, just out of habit, Rachel's eyes widened as she saw Anna and Evangeline sitting in the ONLY bloody compartment she HADN'T CHECKED!! ARGH! Annoyed, the fifth/sixth year took a deep breath and pulled open the doors that were almost shut.

"Erm, hi Anna, Evangeli-" she began, then stopped and gasped as she saw that the Slytherin prefect was crying. Yes, CRYING. In front of Rachel, and Anna, and probably Dominic too since she had just seen him leave. "Oh... I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to barge in - I just wanted to say goodbye and I know I should knocked, but I figured it was ok and-

"Would you like me to step outside?" she finished off her rambling, quickly realising that her apologies, explanations and probably her very presence were not going to help Evangeline feel better. Ugh... Figures; I'd spend AGES trying to find them, and when I do, they don't want me.

Ohhh... someone? Livvy raised an eyebrow at him and smiled with one of those mischievous smiles that usually meant she was gonna pry. "Someone hmm? A giiiirlfriend?"

Kel raised an eyebrow questioningly at Livveh when she snorted. Shaking his head slightly, he looked away. The girl was weird, and Kel wasn't gonna ask what she was snorting at. "That sounds like a lot of fun," he replied, preoccupied with the sudden movement in his pocket. He'd forgotten he'd put his pygmy puff there...oh well. It could stay there for a little bit longer.

"Rach has a boyfriend?" he asked suddenly, realizing what Liv had said. "That's good." he smiled. Rachel seemed to him like the type of girl that a lot of guys would like, so he thought it was good that she had a boyfriend. Although staying with them over the summer might be a bit awkward...hmm. He'd let Liv be the judge of that.

"My plans." he murmured, shrugging. "Well, I'm going to try to think of a way to sneak out of the house." he said with a small smile. That was always fun. "And after I do that, I', going to do just that - sneak out of the house - and go to Jenn's." his smile got a bit bigger as he said that, and he hoped that Livvy wouldn't notice. He always (well, not always...but usually) got happier whenever he talked about Jenn. "She's invited me to stay at her house this summer."

Miles shrugged. "Alright." He just thought that maybe Raiden and Kiri wanted some privacy, and didn't really want depressing seventh years in the compartment which Raiden actually got first.

The camp-out had made everything so complicated! Kiri still wasn't sure whether she regretted her decision (she'd come to think of it as her decision, even thinking the word kiss was nearly impossible), but it had spawned another minefield of awkwardness. She wondered briefly how long the awkwardness would continue. That reminded her of something.

She forced herself to not avoid Raiden as she turned to face him. And she couldn't help but smile slightly. No, she thought, she was not sorry about what'd happened. "Er.. Raiden," she ventured, trying, not very well, to sound casual. "What, um, are your plans for the holidays? When are you going to go to Diagon Alley?" That hadn't been so difficult, had it? Encouraged, Kiri looked at Vanessa and Miles again. They'd be 'fellow students' of hers for only a few more hours. "What about you two? What, um, are you doing next?"

Miles giggle snorted a little as Kiri was very pushy with them staying. Maaaaaybe, the odd thing was was that they didn't want to be alone. HUZZAH! Miles wondered why that was, but then he realized, that would be a little hypocritical of him, as he'd just told Vannie to keep her nose out business which wasn't hers.

Miles shrugged. "To be honset Kiri, I thought I'd be in school forever." Don't cry. DON'T CRY. He knew it sounded sad, but it was the homset truth. "I haven't ... really thought about it."

Seeing 2 familiar faces, Torin pushed the door of the compartment open. "Hope I'm not disturbing you guys?" he said as he finally noticed another two people were there. Ones that he had never met before. They seemed to be a bit younger than he was. "Hey," he sad giving them a little wave. He headed inside and shut the door behind him. "I figured that I should say bye to two of my graduated friends." He was not going to get all teary over Vannie. Nope. He kept telling himself that hoping that that would help keep him in control.

Forgetting what they had been talking about previously, Livvy turned to look at Keltan with a confused look. "Hmm...? What sounds like fun?" she questioned. As it seemed... Livvy had a very short memory and had been wrapped up in her conversation with Reed, that she had completely forgotten what she had been talking about with Keltan. What was it...? Eggrolls was it?

Oh riiight. Rachel's boyfriend... Reid...

"Uhhh yeah... she's got a boyfriend now. A Slytherin boy named... Reid... sort of interesting guy there. The two were a second away from hexing me when I surprised them during there uhm... personal moment," Livvy said, her cheeks turning pink at the memory of it. She had honestly not known what the two were doing and just thought the two were merely two friends that were connecting. How stupid she was. Livvy probably lost brownie points in Rachel and Reid's book for that.

Goooodd? Was it good? Livvy decided not to bring that up and just ignore that comment. She didn't want to get into the whole... 'Rachel's gonna ignore Livvy now since she's got a boyfriend' thing... especially since with Reed in there... a boy that Livvy had never met before until today.

"Sneak out of the house, Micheals? You bad boy," Livvy said, cackling in delight. Ohhh but she loved it. She loved the idea of all the mischief that Kelly boy would be going through this summer.

Now what the boy said next, caught Livvy completely by surprise. If she had been drinking water or some sort of liquid form, she would literally choke and spat it out in surprise. But she wasn't... so her shock didn't quite show. Livvy looked at Keltan wide eyed and raised an eyebrow. JENN?! Now she usually wasn't quick to jump to conclusions... but Livvy had never known that the two knew each other... nor that the mention of her name would brighten the boy's face so much.

Clearing her throat, she said, "Jenn? As in... Jennumara Blood? Do you have... ahem..." Livvy lowered her voice and continued. "Feelings... for her?" His answer would totally change things. Seriously... was everyone hooking up with somebody these days?

From the looks of it Livvy had siblings too. She seemed to understand what he was talking about. He couldn't wait to get home to Jordan's. Maybe he would get there before Baylie so he could have just a little more time without her.

"Something tells me that the two of you would definately get along" he said to Livvy with a small laugh. He too looked towards the door. He was really starting to wonder where Bee was. She was probably with Sarah or something. He might go looking for her later, but for now he would just stay here.

Reed listened to her talk about her plans for the summer. Finally he figured out why she had had a strange reaction when he had told her his name. "Well that sounds like fun" He told her with a nod of his head. "You know Jordan has said any of our friends can come hang out this summer, so if you're even in France you should stop by" He told her with a small laugh. From the sounds of it she wasn't too excited about being with the boyfriend.

Brow furrowed, the eighteen year old did as he was told - goodness, like he'd disobey the McKenna - and carefully sat down. Brown eyes flickering between the girls who were talking to him ... well, ABOUT him rather like he was nothing but a - a THING.

"I am bloody here y'know!" He huffed in slight annoyance. All he wanted was to get out of here.. he did NOT want to be stuck in a compartment with both these scary girls. "What do you want me for?"

However, as quickly as the snickers tried to come, just as quickly they left, only to be replaced by a frown. "I said you should go look for a boy, not--" Well, she was going to say MY boy but Carden was most definitely not hers, "--the one I was talking to!" Hmph.

Uh. Whatever. At least Clifford didn't seem particularly pleased with having been manhandled by Evolette.

Also, he'd gotten brave. "Right, let's get this goodbye process over with, Clifford," Started Willow, feeling a little awkward. "I ... well, it was nice meeting you. And, um, thanks for ... well, you know," Willow was not about to admit in front of Evolette that she'd been consoled by the older boy in one occasion, "And I guess that's it?" Yes.

Uh-oh. It was time to hug him.

"Going to Rachel's..." Kel said slowly and clearly, as if he was talking to a very confused, not-all-there person. He raised his eyebrows again, and held back a snort. Apparently, Liv hadn't been paying much attention to their conversation. He glanced at Reed, whom had been talking to Livvy about some girl, Kel thought. Aha. Gossip. Livvy and Reed were talking about Reed's girlfriend...weren't they? ...Moving on...

When Livvy said 'personal moment,' Kel snorted very loudly. Livvy, Livvy, Livvy. She had a knack for things like that, didn't she? Being very loud and dropping randomly into conversations? She'd done that a couple times to Kel before. But he didn't care that much, because none of them had been a 'personal moment.' Still, it was funny.

He nodded to her comment, chuckling lightly. "Sneak out of my house." he confirmed. "I've done it loads of times." he added with a casual shrug. "But sadly, I don't think my usual method for getting out of the house without being seen will work to get to Jenn's, unless I want to walk a very long way." Yeah. Ireland to England was quite a walk. "I'll have to use floo powder or somethin' like that. Maybe...A muggle shop will have a fire place?" he frowned slightly, and shrugged again. He'd think of a solution to his problem some other time.

At Livvy's next words, and her obvious surprise, Kel's eyes widened in his own surprise. He opened his mouth to tell her yes, Jennumara Blood, when she asked that question. Color rushed to his cheeks and he looked down, now wondering where had this girl been all year. He was sure that Jenn would've told her that they had been dating...didn't girls tell each other everything?

"Um...me and Jenn, um...dated for...a few months." he muttered, looking down at his hands, which were clasped together in embarrassment. "But we - well...I - broke up with her..." this would be a perfect example as a time when talking about Jenn made him not smile. He was frowning. "AndIstillhavefeelingsforher." he added quickly and quietly.

Kiri sighed. "I don't really have any idea, either," she told Miles. "It's probably a bit early for me, but it doesn't feel like I'll, you know, figure something out." Talking to him and Vanessa was definitely easier than talking to Raiden. But by now she didn't feel as if she were about to faint anymore. Her face seemed to have stopped turning red as well. "Not even with four years still to go. But I don't think I'd be able to go to St Mungo's, for example" she said, smiling a little.

The compartment door slid open. Kiri looked up. The boisterous boy who had tackled Vanessa at the camp-out, nearly trampling Kiri in the process, stood in the frame. He didn't look as if he were going to run anybody over, though. In fact, he was wearing a rather solemn expression.
She turned around to look at Raiden. "Er, I... well, I was sort of hoping that, you know," she gestured helplessly, biting her lip, "we'd meet up in Diagon Alley. When we get the new lists for school and everything. It was fun last year... wasn't it?" she finished, a little uncertain.

She leaned out of the way of Miles and the Hufflepuff boy. "Say, Vanessa, you're meeting Professor Morgan?" she asked, over the noise the two boys were making. "Tomorrow? Is it about the internship?"

"It will be Rai. Im gonna be verry busy" Vanessa giggled. She'd probably be so busy infact that she wouldn't miss Hogwarts really. "Oh Raii." She shook her head, as she felt her cheeks blush. Oh he was so loverly. But it was quite embarrassing. She felt like getting up and hugging him again, but that could make it a little awkward again, so she would leave it. "You'll miss me a lot?" She smiled sadly, and did actually get up, and hug him again. She couldn't resist it! "I'll miss you a awful lot to my little Raiden." She smiled at him, sitting down again. She was being truthful though. She was going to miss him. He was her baby!

She looked up as she compartment door opened again, and she smiled at Torin. Aww. Another person she had to say goodbye to. "Hey Torin." She spoke quietly, looking up at him. "I dont want to say goodbye." She admitted, looking down at her hands. "You better keep earning points for hufflepuff next term. Or I'll be coming down here."

Vanessa turned with a smile back to Kiri as she heard her speak. "No actually, although I will be talking to Professor Morgan a lot about my internship." Afterall the woman had got it for her. "But I'm actually just going around for a social visit." She nodded, her hand going into her pocket and enclosing around the parchment in there. "I'll be owling her a lot over the next year."

Then he reached over to Vannie and gave her a hug. "I hate goodbyes too. But I promise that I'm going to be a good Hufflepuff for you." He let her go then looked at them both again.

"So what is in yours plans now, guys?"he asked them curiously.

Anna's attention turned from Evangeline to Dom when the Hufflepuff prefect announced his sudden need for lemondrops. Psh. Guys just couldn't handle this type of girl talk, could they? They were rarely the type to stick around for tears. "See ya, Dom...and thanks," Anna said, keeping her words short so she could focus on Evangeline again.

When the compartment door opened again, Anna thought that maybe Dom had changed his mind. What? Was the trolley out of lemondrops? It was Daniel who'd decided to join them, though. "Oh? A gift for me? Well, thank you, Daniel. That's really sweet of you," she said with a smile. How lucky she was to have such caring friends. First Bubury had given her a pendant, then Cope had given her the goblets for the wedding, and now Daniel was giving her... "Oh, Daniel! How thoughtful!" She held the stone up closer to her and admired its beauty. Her name was even etched onto the top of it...in pink!

When Evangeline started talking again, Anna turned bck to her former co-prefect and listened carefully, prepared to whisper, so as not to let everyone around them hear the conversation. "You know, I can relate to how you feel. Cale and I broke up during my fifth year, and I can see the same hurt in your eyes that I once saw in mine. I know that it's not fun at all, but this, too, will pass," she said.

Did Clifford really not want to reunite with Evangeline? Clearly she wanted to reunite with him, so was he the one holding them back? "Well, I did say that you did what you thought was right at the time. If that's not right now, then why don't you try something else? Maybe he feels the same way you do," she suggested.

Then the compartment door slid open again, so Anna straightened up and let her conversation with Evangeline go for the time being. "Hey, Rachel! Step outside? Oh, no, that's not necessary. Come on in," she said, moving Charlotte's cage to the floor, so Rachel could sit down. "I'm glad I got to see you anyway. This is it, you know. This is goodbye...at least for a while."
