The water kept its ascent, very dirty, full of algae and soil from upstream, foaming and most of all, dangerous.. Instead of flowing sleepily as it did in the dungeons, this time it was rolling very fast. Instead of rippling peacefully, it roared as it took down everything in it's path. It was as if the water was angry...

The water stopped it's ascent as it touched the ceiling.

As Arethusa said, the water was drained out, the injuries healed, and everything was restored to normal.

As soon as the flood had stopped, Wesley had been itching to visit the kitchen. Vanessa had said they where okay, and she absolutely trusted her prefect, but more than anything, the small brunette wanted to see for herself. Unfortunately with the end of the school year fast approaching, it seemed that she was busier then ever.

But not today. After powering through her homework, the Hufflepuff had taken the opportunity to run down to the kitchen.

To see the House-elves, of course!

Please let them be okay! Please let them be okay! she thought as she sprinted down the hallway, through the portrait, and into the expansive room.

Breathing heavily, Wesley stopped and looked around, eager to see them milling around, safe and happy.

Reese had her arms crossed over her chest as she entered the kitchen. She glanced around, taking in the surrounds. She has NEVER set food in the kitchen before. Shocking, isn't it? Well, she never saw the need to come down here for food when you can go to the Great Hall and get food. Standing by the doorway, she waited for Torin to enter. He was doing most of the talking around here, not her. She was just here to be a witness and supervise the cooking, if he was going to cook. The house elves might not even let him.

Torin entered the kitchen after Reese thinking of what he would say to the House Elves. It should be easy though, seeing as he liked the creatures despite never seeing one in real life before.

He cast a glance around the place and thought that it seemed like a pretty cool place to be. Now where were the House Elves?

Fyo wasn't so sure this was a good idea.

Not the best one, anyway. Entering the kitchen after Reese and Torinbadkitty, the third year stopped to scan the place. The house-elves, they were awesome creatures, a nice, always-read-to-help kind. Still, Fyo wasn't so sure if they would let Torin cook in here.

Oh well. Worth a try, wasn't it? Wasn't it?

Errr, maybe.

He smiled as his second witness finally arrived. "Thanks for coming, mate. I really need to prove her wrong about me." This was more than just trying to impress her now. She had insulted him so it was now also about showing her that she was wrong. He didn't look it, but he was great in the kitchen. Maybe 'cause he always looked at the art of cooking and baking as being similar to that of Potions. Especially baking. That was his specialty too. And he had made Baked Alaska before.. so HA on her. "She's going to regret being so rude to me now... Practically laughing in my face. Fyo, have you ever talked to a House Elf before?" He sure hoped so; it might make things easier here.

Reese turned her complete attention to Fyo when the boy walked into the kitchens. She was sort of glad that Fyo was here with them, because Torin and Fyo could talk to the elves and she would just sit back and watch. Unless, something came up and the needed her help, which was possible.

She stood close to the door and kept quiet as Torin and Fyo talked.

"Um, sure, it's nothing," Fyo said, with a shrug of sorts. The truth was, he was more interested in seeing for himself whether Torin really could make Baked Alaska - and whether the house-elves would let him cook in the kitchen - than in Torin's proving Professor Bunbury wrong.

Because that was just so silly!

"You know, Professor Bunbury confuses me," he said, his tones thoughtful. "First she gives you your oh-so-wanted Bunbury hug, and then she laughs in your face. Strange." He stopped talking to shake his head, when Torin asked him if he had ever talked to a house-elf, before. "Not here," he confessed. "I've talked to house-elves before, but never at Hogwarts."

His gaze wandered to Reese, who was standing really close to the door. "Um, what are you doing there?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "You look like you want to escape, or something." He wanted a Reesekitty!hug.
