Aschere happened to take a peek at the hourglasses before going up to her common room. Her jaw dropped.
How had Gryffindor got to -50 already?

On her way from the dungeons to the owlery Mystic looked at the hourglasses to see how Slytherin was doing on points. She could not believe her eyes, they where down 5 points. Well at lease they where not low in as the rest. She hoped it stays that way. "Well of to the owlery,"she said to herself.

Patrick passed through quickly, noting that Ravenclaw was still in the lead! He grinned as he continued on to the Great Hall for lunch. As his stomach was grumbling awfully, he quickened his pace. He could almost smell the food from here.

Chris Potter walked through the great front doors of the Entrance Hall, after a nice walk down the Pathways, and over to the Hourglasses that held the Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow stone in which kept the score of House Points for each House. He smile excitedly. "Yes Gryffindor is just behind Ravenclaw! We can still catch up."

Lizzie walked slowly past the hourglasses, glacing at them. Well she thought. At least we're not last place again she said quietly to herself while studying the rubins. Second isn't too bad.. Just a little more effort and we'll be back to first place as two years ago. Just then she realised she was staring at the hourglasses and talking to herself. She blushed slightly and turned to walk away, standing face to face with Chris.

Chris stopped talking to himself too when he realized another voice was doing the same, and he turned and saw Lizzie. He chuckled jokingly "How stupid are we standing here talking to ourselves?"

A little smile appeared on Lizzie's face, and she nodded saying Yeah really. We must look like idiots. She turned quiet for a second, unsure what to say. After glancing at the hourglasses again she said Well it looks like we're heading for first place this year, right? looking back at Chris.

"I sure hope so!" he said smiling. "So have you done much of the homework yet? I think the only things due still at the moment are Divination and Herbology."

He then smiled brighter. "You saw that Chalice was back right? Man I missed her while she was gone didnt you?"

Lizzie's smiled got wider as conversation began to flow. Well I'm trying to keep up with homework, but I lost my calendar the other day and so all the dates are mixed inside my head and I can't remember which subject is due what day.. she chuckled slightly. But I'll make sure to get the dates from someone later. I bet you've already handed then all in.. she teased him a bit.

Yeah of course I am too. I've missed her a lot, and it's been so quiet without her craziness around she smiled.

Chris smiled "You lost your calendar? Well here." he pulled out his and then pulled out a piece of parchment. He pointed his wand at the calendar with the homework dates and classes times and copied the information with a spell and then placed it on the parchment. "Here you go. That should work until you find your old one or get a new one."

He then laughed "Not all of it has been turned in yet. I still have to do Herbology and Divination."

She was coming back from Kevin's birthday party but she wasn't heading up to the common room. She felt good and of course she looked good and she had been acting like a hermit for the past couple of months. So why not spend some time outside the common. Even though they lost the Quidditch match she had scored all the goals for Slytherin. That was something to be proud of. And she was proud of her team. They worked hard and did a good job. She should get them all a little present or something. "Chris," she said happily when she looked up from her magazine she was flipping through.

Lizzie got the piece of parchment from Chris, smiled and said Thanks Chris. That should work just fine for now. She rolled her eyes slightly as he defended himself with having some homework left to do. Surprising she giggled, happy that the mood was so relaxed. She'd been terrifyed that they wouldn't be able to talk to each other any longer. She was just about to suggest they should do the homework together, when a voice said "Chris" and she turned around. She recognised Paris Greenwood at once, and swallowed. This conversation seemed to be turning in a direction she did not like much. She swallowed again as she looked at the girl. Hello Paris she said quietly. After a short moment of hesitation she decided to be polite and said I heard about your game, I'm sorry you lost it...

Chris looked away from his happily pleasent conversation with Lizzie for a second when he heard his name called. He turned to see Paris walking in. He was always glad to see her, but she this was defnately bad timing. "Hey Paris!" He smiled at her. He really just patched things up with Lizzie and knew this would be awkward for her. So he said to his new girlfriend. "Um would you mind if we met up later somewhere, perhaps on the grounds later tonight? I like really need to catch up with a friend." he said with a smile. He knew she would understand especially with the whole Theo incident the other day.

Chris then turned back to Lizzie with a clearly guilty, appologetic look. And then smiled as she took the parchment thankfully. "You're welcome. Hey if you need any help with that or just want to work on some of it together Im up for it whenever. We really do need to catch up." he said with a nervous smile. He really hopd Paris didnt accidentally scare her off.

She didn't know who the girl was and and she was surprised that she knew her name. "Oh um well thanks for that. We played a good game though." she told her politely.

She smiled and nodded her head. This must be Leslie or something. She would let them have some privacy, she didn't want to see or hear what they were going to say to each other. "Alright I will wait in the common room for you." she gave his hand a squeeze and walked out in the direction of the stairs to head upstairs to the common room.

Lizzie watched Paris walk away, surprised at the question that had been written all over her face. "Who are you?" As soon as Marcus had told her about Paris she had had the girl pointed out for her so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings, but she could tell Paris had no idea who she was.

Turning back to Chris and their conversation concerning homework she replied his nervous smile and said Yeah that's be great. You know me, always do it in the last minute. I don't take divination though, but herbology would be nice. She had only been to one divination class, and that was it. She hadn't been able to stop giggling with her girl friends, and realised this was not the subject for her.

As she glanced at the stairs where Paris had left, she gave Chris a questioning look, swallowed and thought He's a friend, he's got the right to date anyone he wants but Paris taking his hand - even briefly - had given her breathing issues. With a little smile she said So how's it going with you and Paris then? She was curious, like any girl as at the thought of discussing a relationship, but wasn't sure of how much she wanted to hear. She's the quiddich captain, right?

Chris squeezed Paris' hand back as she left and gave him and Lizzie some time. "Ok see ya later." he said as she walked away.

Chris laughed a bit as he turned back to Lizzie. "So your saying you arent very good with Divination? It can be difficult though." he added.

'How are me and Paris?' He thought about her question before answering out loud. He didnt want to hurt Lizzie at all. "We are good. And yep she is the Quidditch captain."

Lizzie shrugged slightly. Well I mistook some signs for something else and happened to tell the girl I was working in pairs with that she was most likely to give birth to seventeen daughters and fifteen sons she said with an amused smile, remembering the surprised look on the girl's face. Eyeing Chris she said Isn't there any subject you just can't manage?

Deciding to not bring up the subject of Paris again, Lizzie just said Ok and left it at that.

Water trickled in by the hourglasses and wet the floor around them.

CHris looked down as his shoes became wet. "What the heck?!" he said. He then looked down and then at Lizzie. "We have to get out of here. Everybody the Flood has reached the Ground Level! Get to higher ground!" he shouted, his voice echoing around the Entrance Hall. He grabbed Lizzie's hand and pulled her up the stairs.

Aaron ran passed the hourglasses to get to the stairs and he heard the Gryffindor yell about the flood on the ground floor. he stopped and yelled again.

"YEAH!!! COME ON!!!" He then ran as fast as he could again towards the stairs.

Lizzie felt the water around her feet before she realised what happened. What's going on? she asked, feeling how her socks and shoes were getting soaked. That second, Chris began to shout about the flood, and Lizzie came to the conclusion that somehow the water had reached a new floor. She sighed as she quietly wondered how they were gonna get out of the castle any longer if the entrance hall would be a lake of its own. She felt Chris grabbing her hand and thankfully joined him towards the stairs. The flooding water was becoming rather unpleasant to walk in, getting deeper each minute, and she was glad she had something (in this case someone aka Chris) to hold on to. She wouldn't wanna fall and get all wet.

The water suddenly froze and the area looked like a large indoor ice rink.

Lizzie just got her feet out of the water as she and Chris reached the stairs, when she felt the cold from behind and turned around to see the water they'd just stepped out of freeze to a cold shiny surface. Ice?! she thought in disbelief. What's going on? she asked Chris, looking at the entrance hall that was now covered with ice. Lucky the water didn't have time to get deeper, then the entire room would be frozen.. she thought, then realised that the lower floors and the dungeons might be exactly that - entirely frozen. She shrudded and put one foot on the ice, trying to see if it was solid to stand on. What could possibly have caused this? she wondered aloud.

Aaron was still running as fast as he could when the water he was running through turned to ice. His right shoe got stuck in the ice and the rest of him went flying.

"WOAH!" he shouting falling. He landed on his slide and slid across the room finally stopping by hitting the wall. Okay, that hurt. He got up and carefully walked over to where his shoe was stuck. He pulled it up and put it back on. Ack, cold! He then carefully, made his way towards the stairs.
