Steven grinned, as he looked down at Chis, "Hey there little guy." He said, as he stroked the soft fur. "That's good. Nothing that I need to know then?" He asked her before he grinned and looked at Paris with a soft smile. "We hung out, went to a ball and went shopping. You know... The usual." He said with a laugh.

He laughed some more as Nancy told him to just get 'anything'. He looked down at Paris. "What about you Paris? What would you like?" He looked at his girlfriend and another small smile past over his lips as he ordered a few pumpkin pasties, three boxes of Bertie Bott's and a couple of chocolate frogs." He tried to think if he or Nancy would need anything else, as he waited for Paris to tell him what she would like. He motioned to the lady that he was paying for it all.

Nancy returned Steven's grin cheerfully as he bent down slightly to stroke Chis' black and white fur. Almost shoving the cat into his arms the 14 year old giggled slightly as she said, "Oh, you can have him! Seriously." Well, she obviously wasn't being completely serious about that but right at the moment she wanted her cat to be anywhere but her arms. He could be so annoying at times. Especially if he chose to scratch her. Whatever...

At Steven's question Nancy seriously felt the need to stick out her tongue at him but of course she was too old for that already so she simply stuck with smirking at him. With a roll of her eyes she replied, "Nooo...no boyfriend or anything as far as I know. Unlike yours, my summer has been quite unspectacular." She winked at him with her eyebrows slightly raised before running a hand through her dark-blonde hair. Well, at least it was Paris...

Nancy gave Steven a broad grin upon hearing what he had ordered for them but mimicked the boy's facial expression as they both waited for her to tell Steven what she wanted. Hopefully she would hurry since the chocolate frogs already in Steven's hands looked greatly inviting. She needed chocolate now! Luckily Steven always apparently knew what she was longing for at the moment. And right now it definitely was chocolate.

Thomas went to the lady of the food trolley and he asked her, "May I have three chocolate frogs, two pumpkin pasties and er.... Can I also have sugar quill."

Alana was feeling soo hungry after her long ride from the states. After walking a bit she found herself at the food trolley. Hoping she wasnt cutting into the queue, she walked up to the lady. "Can I get a bag of Bertie Botts and two chocolate frogs please."

Mariel's smile faded somewhat at Liz's words. "Oh, sorry to hear that it wasn't so great, but at least it got better," she said, awkwardly trying to give the older girl a reassuring smile. It seemed a bit personal, so Mariel wasn't going to pry unless Liz wanted to talk about it. "Mine was pretty amazing, thanks. It started out fairly boring, you know, spending it with the family, but then I got to spend the rest in America with some of my friends and that was awesome. We rode horses and played Quidditch... Always good to get in some extra practice," she added the last part with a grin.

Mariel glanced over at the younger girl who was leaving and shrugged to herself. She had all but ignored the third year only to have her make her feel as if she was being rude. Whatever. She gave a half-hearted wave in her direction as the girl left, before raising an incredulous eyebrow at her touching Keltan's arm on her way out. Just what was that about?

Her eyes shifted slowly to Keltan's face whereas her face assumed a more normal expression. "Oh, the twenty-first... Only a couple more weeks then. You should definitely have the Elves at Hogwarts make you a birthday cake. They are the best cooks in the world. Even better than the House Elf we have at home and he's a decent chef." Oops, now Mariel felt incredibly guilty for comparing Pippin to the Elves at school because he was pretty awesome himself. Hopefully he wouldn't find out.

Shrugging it off, she nodded when Keltan mentioned her playing for Ravenclaw. "Yeah, I do... Chaser's a great position. It was my favorite before I came to school, but since my Captain felt I was more suited for Keeper, that's become my favorite." She grinned back at him, not realizing that he was amused about her bragging, but more because he obviously thought she was totally awesome for being such an amazing player! "Thanks," she said with a nod. "And I'm sure you'd make a great Chaser."

Thinking about Quidditch suddenly made her remember Lasca - perhaps since they played it so much over the summer - and the real reason why she had started walking this way through the train's corridor. She was looking for her best friend - and she should probably go find her before the train actually got to Hogwarts. "It was really nice meeting you, Keltan, but I really should be on my way," the third year said. "I lost track of my friend and need to go find her. Hopefully I'll see you on the pitch... And you too, Liz," she added, turning in the older girl's direction. While Liz was a great reserve player and they needed great reserves, Mariel was certain that this was Liz's year and she'd make first string. "Bye," she told them both cheerfully and waved before heading down the train, once again in search for her best friend.

She held fast to Steven's hand as he talked with Nancy. If she didn't know any better she would swear they were flirting, but Steven was like that with all girls, so it was just who he was. "Oh um chocolate and sugar quills are fine with me." She told him with a smile and she leaned into him.

She however didn't like the wink Nancy gave her boyfriend. But she wasn't going to play the jealous girlfriend that was just low class. She just smiled at Nancy, making a mental note to watch her a little more.

Theo walked towards the food cart. He was hungry, and he wanted a sandwich. He should've got his mum to make him one. He fancied ham. Oooo or cheese.

He saw Paris near the cart, and he smiled, rather happily. His face fell as he saw her holding a boy's hand. Why was she holding his hand? He sighed and walked towards them. Well they were in the way of the food.

She looked away down the corridor as Theo came walking up, she smiled at him but frowned whens he saw his face fall. "Whats wrong Theo?" She asked him seriously. She always saw him with a smile on his face, it was a bit unnerving to see him look so unhappy.

Theo turned around as he approached the cart. Paris was talking to him. He shook his head, "Um....nothing." He avoided her question. "Who is he?" He pointed to the boy she was holding hands with.

She looked back at Steven. "This is Steven, my boyfriend." She explained to him. Was Theo trying to take Lucas' place in being her protector? That was cute, and it made her feel special. "How was the rest of your summer?" She asked.

"B...b..boyfriend?" Theo stammered. He was her boyfriend. That made him feel sad. She didn't like him. Oh well, he would have to like someone else. He shrugged, "S'ok." He brushed his feet on the floor, and looked down at them. They were far more interesting than looking Paris in the eyes, or seeing them two together. "Yours?"

As soon as Paris had decided on something Nancy quickly reached out to grab one of the chocolate frogs from Steven. "Thanks", she muttered towards Steven while, grinning contently at both of them, she carefully unwrapped her chocolate frog. Yay! Finally! Chocolate!

As she was chewing happily on her chocolate frog Nancy's blue eyes moved back over to Paris who, even though she'd just smiled at her, somehow seemed to be a bit defensive over something. Was it about Steven? Was she trying to defend him against some other girl? But from whom? There was nobody near them except for some girls she'd seen around but never actually talked to an well herself. So, who could be a potential threat?

With a small shrug Nancy returned Paris' smile, still a bare hint of confusion visible on her face. Well, she certainly was going to watch out for girls who might be flirting with Steven, since Paris really was a nice girl and everything. And that's all she could want for her friend, right? A nice girlfriend.

She looked at Nancy as she snatched a frog from Steven's hand. "Hungry?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. She couldn't be jealous of Nancy, she was Paris Greenwood and no girl was better than her. She had Steven and thats what mattered. they were just doing some harmless flirting. Thats all, no need to tackled her to the ground and mash up her face. She smiled.




"Yeah he is," she said. She blinked at him. What was wrong with him? And why didn't he want to look at her. She was utterly confused by his behavior. "Well I just did some more shopping and we went to the Black and White ball." She shrugged. "Are you alright Theo?" She asked a little more concerned about his behavior.

She let go of Steven's hand and walked over to Theo and hugged him tightly. She pecked him on his pale little cheek. "You can talk to me you know," She told him softly. He was her friend and she didn't want to see him hurting.

Theo nodded, still looking at the floor. "I'm fine." He didn't know what to do. He just wanted a sandwich. He didn't want to be around Paris, if she was with a boy. A real boy. A proper one. One that wasn't him.

He held his breath as she hugged him. He liked the way she felt and she probably smelt amazing, but he couldn't breathe it in. "Erm...I don't really want to talk to you. Right now." That probably sounded really rude, but Theo wasn't really to know. "I'll grab my sammich later," he said. When Steven isn't around anymore.

Reese grabbed a chocolate frog from her bag and opened the box. As soon as the box was open, the chocolate frog hopped out of the box and started hopping down the train. Goshdarnit. There was no use going after that frog- she had 11 more in her bag.

She grinned when the boy mentioned her being clumsy. Looking back at him, she shrugged her shoulder. "Sort of, not all the time though. I just happened to not know you were behind me," she told him. She eyes the boy and gave him another smile. He was sort of cute, not as cute as some people she has met before, but he was still cute.

She looked at the girl when she introduced herself and her brother. "Oh, it's a pleasure to meet you Danika...and Torin," she said, glanced back at the boy, "I'm Reese- Reese Upstead." The term hasn't even started and she has already met three new people. How exciting!

She looked at him like he had slapped her. What the hell was wrong with the people at Hogwarts? One minute they were your friend and the next minute they shoved a knife in your heart. First Jake, then Tobi and now Theo. What had she done to him? She had been nothing but nice to him. Paris' eyes darkened. "Fine then," she said. She was getting really tired of Hogwarts people stepping on her heart.

Okay, maybe she was just being paranoid. Maybe Paris hadn't taken in a defensive stance at all. Since the next thing Paris did was to genuinely smile at Nancy after asking her with a slight look of wonder on her face if she was hungry. Uhm...well, duh. Out loud Nancy said with a small grin and a wink, "Oh, well, just longing for chocolate you know."

Now it was Nancy's turn to raise her eyebrows as she watched the scene that was going on between Theo and Paris attentively. Theo was obviously not too happy about the fact that Paris and Steven were a couple now, if the way he kept on glancing at him was any indicator. As he even declined Paris' offer to talk to her Nancy bit her lip contemplating whether or not to interfere, to tell Paris what or better who was the reason for Theo's rather unusual behavior. She decided to keep her mouth shut, for once, though.

Theo frowned. She was confusing him now. She wanted to talk to him, and now she was just being mean. What was wrong with her? She wasn't the one that liked someone, and found out that they were with someone else.

"What's wrong with you? Are you ok?" he said, forgetting for a moment that he didn't want to be around the two of them.

She nodded. "Yeah I know how that goes," She said. She had a trunk full of the best Swiss chocolate int he world, and if Clifford looked at it wrong she would poke him with her wand.

"You just told me you didn't want to talk to me thats whats wrong. I thought were were friends." She told him. She had no idea what was going on around here.

"Right now. I said right," Theo frowned. She was weird. "That didn't mean you had to be a meanie." His shoulders hunched forwards a bit. "Are we not friends?" That made him feel even sadder. She didn't like him, even as a friend anymore.

Ok she was going to need some headache potion when the train finally got to school. She couldn't deal with all these teen angst feelings. "Alright we can talk later then." She shrugged.

"Well you were being mean first," she said sounding like that 11 year old girl and not her fully grown 14 years. "Yeah we are still friends," she said deflating. She hadn't meant to to start a fight with Theo,

Theo frowned, confused. "I wasn't a meanie. I wasn't really." He didn't like that he was being mean. He was never mean. She must be lying. Yes that was it. He nodded, "I am glad we are. Because I don't want to not be friends with you." He looked at the floor, "Because I like you lots."

Oh. My. God. On what planet does this sort of thing happen? Here Paris was nursing a soft spot for Copernicus, who was crushing on Cela who was dating his brother, and Paris starts dating Steven, who may or may not be flirting with her friend Nancy, and here is Theodore Newington, her brother's best friend telling her that he likes her.

Her jaw dropped. She didn't know what to say. She didn't know what to do. What was she supposed to say to him? To Steven? She didn't want to hurt Theo, and she didn't want to hurt Steven. She didn't want anyone hurt over this.

"I, um...can't do this now." This was hard. "I have to go." she said turning around and walking down the corridor away from everyone. She couldn't deal with all of this right now. Tears were stinging her eyes and she had to blink them away.

Theo's face fell completely. Tears formed in his eyes. She didn't like him back. He wiped his eyes with his sleeve. And then he sniffed. "Um....ok." The back of the train was the way to go. Maybe someone nice would be there.

Kel nodded slowly. These Ravenclaws were really biased, he was sure. It couldn't be the best house, now could it? Surely all the houses were the same...but he didn't want to be in Slytherin, of course. Personal reasons...

"I don't know what house I'll be in," he mused, shrugging. "I think Ravenclaw would be good...well, anything, really..."

He nodded again. After murmuring a goodbye to Mariel, he turned to Liz. "Hey, I should probably go find a compartment, ya know? Before this thing goes insane." he shrugged his right shoulder, the shoulder Jasmine was perched on. She hooted and nipped at his ear, then hooted again.

"See you at Hogwarts?" he asked, surprising himself by hoping his statement was true. He lifted his hand up to his shoulder, his elf owl jumped onto it, and he waved to Liz with his free hand and started off in the direction he'd come from. He stuck his three sugar quills into his pants pocket, then put his free hand over Jasmine so she wouldn't fly off somewhere.
