He grimaced as he tried to smile again. "Perhaps. That would be the fair thing to do, wouldn't it?" he asked, a note of sarcasm in his cheerful voice.

He nodded occasionally as he listened to Satine talk, smiling more genuinely as she spoke about spelling the name for support. "K-E-L-T-A-N. Better memorize that." he said, sounding serious, but there was a gleam of teasing in his eyes. Your mother was a Ravenclaw? Is that the house you're expecting?" he asked, curious. If she turned out to be a Ravvie, too, Kel better hope that he was. Or he needed to find friends from a different house.

"I...don't know. I didn't think about it, really. I probably will...yeah. I don't know what position, though. Maybe chaser...definitely not seeker. Hmm. What position do you play?" he asked, cocking his head to one side.

She smiled as he spelled out his name, "Well, I'll try to get it right atleast once, but I'm not making any promises." She said picking on him.

"I'm really hoping to be in Ravenclaw, but you never know. I heard the hat or helmet or whatever it is reads your mind, so I'm going say Ravenclaw a million times in a row. How awful would it be if the hat thingy said that I didn't belong in any house?" She said as a joke but then that thought made her a little worried.

"But I guess if I played I'd have to do Chaser also, maybe seeker, but I'm still just a first year so I have a little bit to figure it out."

Kel nodded, his smile becoming a grin, then fading. He was about to say something, but she continued on, talking about houses, so he just went along with the flow of conversation. "It reads your mind?" he asked, his eyebrows shooting up again. Well then, that solves your problem, doesn't it? he thought. ...At least if it listens to you...it might just get a kick out of putting you where you don't want to be.

When she voiced his fear, he frowned. She had clearly been joking...was he the only one that was scared of that? Ugh. No comment...

Glad at the Quidditch subject again, he nodded and his face cleared of his oh-so-uplifting expression. "I wouldn't be a good seeker." he admitted, thinking about it. "Nor a keeper. But I reckon I could be a pretty good chaser...not a beater, though. So...chaser, yeah." he chuckled nervously and shut up.

She smiled, "Well then I guess I'll have to learn to spell out 'Kelton the best chaser in the world!' But that might take forever, so you better be a good one for me to put forth that much extra effort," she finished teasingly with a wink. She knew her eye had changed to a see-through blue with the wink and blinked to turn it back to a purple.

"Oh, it'll be worth your while," Kel promised, grinning. He looked away, missing her wink, and then looked back at her. "That is, though, if I get on the team. And I'm sure there's a bunch of people that are better than me...but I don't know. I'll try out, at least." he trailed off with another shrug.

Satine smiled, "Well if you make the team, then it sounds like a date. I'll create so many fireworks it'll make you dizzy." and then paused, did that sound weird...getting back on track she decided it was time to leave this conversation, "Well, it was great to meet you. I guess I better head back to my compartment because we must be getting close and I need to get ready. I hope I see you around." She touched his arm slightly as she turned away flipping her purple hair over her shoulder as she headed for her compartment.

"...thanks," Mariel told Keltan as he cast his arms out to make sure she didn't fall backwards, willing the heat out of her cheeks. Weird. The girl was not one to blush, yet she was reminded of doing the very same in WWW. Of course she told herself that it was because she stumbled and nearly embarassed herself by falling over. Yeah, that had to be it.

Biting her lower lip absentmindedly before mentally chastising herself to stop, Mariel nodded again as Keltan expressed his doubts about the sorting. Certainly Professor Bontecou would have that sorted out for him when he got there. Smiling again when he asked about her birthday, she said, "Mine's the eighth, when's yours?" Of course she got to celebrate it early with a few of her friends over the summer, but she couldn't wait to be officially fourteen. It seemed so much more grown-up than thirteen.

Her smile soon faded though when Satine spoke directly to her. Had she been abrupt with her? It seemed that she had hurt her feelings as well. Two people in the course of ten minutes. Nice going, Mariel. Or maybe other people were just sensitive... because she didn't think she had been rude. "Not interrupting," she said lightly. "You had just startled me, is all." She nodded when the girl said - or questioned? - that she was leaving. She certainly didn't mind if she was staying, but she was free to leave as well.

And then the conversation turned to Quidditch... the best thing ever! Mariel's entire face lit up. "You guys like Quidditch?" she asked, excitement evident in her voice. "I play for Ravenclaw. Last year I was Keeper, although I filled in for Seeker during our Championship game." Leaning closer to the two of them she added in a low voice with pride evident in her voice, "I caught the winning Snitch." Of course they wouldn't have won without the hard work of the entire team, but she was immensly proud of her own contribution. "You guys should definitely try out. It's the most fun ever," she added after chewing on the last bite of her chocolate frog.

Stomach grumbling, he made his way towards where the food was at. He wanted to try some of the Wizard candies they had over here, and as such had brought as much money as he could fit in his pockets. But of course there was a big line of people surrounding the trolley. Sighing, he joined the crowd and hoped that this wouldn't take too long.

Kailey had one chocolate frog left

she offered the new boy that had joined the crowed a chocolate frog since the wait was so long. Then Kailey turned and waved to the girl, Satine she had met earlier, who appeared to be leaving.

Wondering where her brother was at, Danika walked along the train. She did not know anyone, and neither did Torin for that matter. Then she saw a group of kids gathered around the food trolley. Looking closer she saw Torin. "Torin, what are you doing?" she asked her brother.

A girl offered him a Chocolate Frog. Smiling, he said, "thank you," before he heard his sister call out to him. Turning towards her he said, "lining up for some food. Come on, Dani." He then quickly ate the Frog. It was good.

Coming closer, Liz smiles at Mariel. "Hi Mariel! My summer, wasn't the greatest, but it ended well. How about yours?"

Turning to the younger boy, she gives him a smile "No, I don't believe I have as of yet. I'm Liz, nice to meet you." grinning at his proper greetings, she tilts her head a little.

Danika shook her head at her brother as she stood next to him. "You and your belly." she said to her brother. She looked at all the kids that were awaiting there turn. "How long have you been here?" she asked Torin. The wait looked to be about 10 minutes.

He rolled his eyes at that comment. Just 'cause she didn't appreciate candy didn't mean that he had a big appetite. "I just got here. Wanna get some food too?" He raised his brow at her.

Danika shook her head. She was just too nervous. "There is no way I can eat now. I am just to nervous." she said when she looked up at him. She was almost a foot shorted then him. She thought for a sec. "Wait, you don't need candy, anyway." she told him. She was not ready to let him loose on the train after having sugar.

Reese wandered up to the food trolley with a tummy that was growling. This is what you get for not eating a lot before you get on a train. She looked at all the people that were crowded around the trolley and shook her head. If your not getting anything, get out of the way! She pushed through some people until she finally got to the cart. She smiled at the woman and ordered a dozen chocolate frogs. When she received them, she stuck them in her bag that she has been carrying out with her.

She quickly turned around and nearly bumped right into two people that were in a conversation. "Oh, hello," she said, brushing a few strands of her hair out of her face. This is also what you get when your in a hurry to get back to your compartment to chow down on your food, but- since she almost ran into this people, she might as well talk for a minute or so.

He chuckled. "Relax, Dani. No need to be nervous. It's going to be just like our old school, I promise." He ruffled her hair and smiled at her. Sometimes Dani needed to learn how to relax. "And why don't I need candy? I'll have you know -"

"OOF!" before he could finish, he was bumped into by a pretty blonde girl who looked to be about his age. Catching his balance, he smiled at her greeting and said, "hello there. A bit clumsy I see." He winked at her.

Christine was starved. She knew that she wouldn't be able to wait until the feast to eat. While practically running to the food cart, Christine thought about what she was going to get to eat. She patted the right pocket of her jeans to make sure she had some money. Christine had to skid to a halt, almost running into the people in front of the food trolly. Gosh I guess everyone is hungry like me she thought to herself.

"Pfft. Me? Relax? Come on Torin, dont make me laugh." she told him. She narrowed her look at him when he brought up their old school. She felt her heart wrench. Their parents thought it would be better if the twins when to school closer to home. Danika left so many friends behind. And now going to a new school and not knowing anyone, she was scared.

She was waiting for him to finish when they were bumped into. Danika turned and looked to see who it was. It was a pretty blond girl. Before she could say anything Torin started to talk. When he was done she turned to the girl. "Hi. I am Danika. This here guy trying to be slick is my brother Torin." she said with a smile. Heck, might as well start trying to make new friends.

Victoria got into the line for the food trolley, she wanted to stack up on sweets before they got to Hogwarts.

I'd like some chocolate frogs please

Kel just nodded slowly when she announced that she was leaving. He looked down at his Hogwarts robes, which he'd been wearing since he'd been at his house, considering his mother had apparated him right to Platform 9 3/4, and there was no need to dress like a muggle - something that his parents had so much trouble with that it was almost funny.

"Yeah, see you around," he said quickly, trying not to make a face when she touched his arm briefly. "See ya at Hogwarts," he added, then shook his head. Ugh.

"Mines the twenty-first," he said quickly, trying very hard not to notice the color in Mariel's cheeks. Last time he made a girl blush, it'd gone to his head, and he'd completely let his guard down...he'd winked!!! at the girl. He wasn't going to do this this time, not for a million galleons.

He chuckled, though, when she caught onto the Quidditch conversation. (Say that five times fast...) "You play for the team?" he asked, kind of surprised. Not that she played for it, but because...oh, never mind! He was kind of glad she said that she played Keeper, though, so he wouldn't be trying to take her spot...

And why does that matter? "I want to play chaser, myself," he said, although she probably already knew that, on account that he had just told Satine the same thing.

He grinned at her bragging, amused. "Well, congrats," he said, holding back laughter. Sure, that was something to be proud of, definitely. And the girl obviously was, or she wouldn't be telling them. "And I'll...try to try out." he added.

"Hey Liz," he said, one side of his mouth twitching up into an awkward smile. "I take it your a Ravenclaw, too?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. If she was...Kel wasn't sure what he'd do. It'd be kinda funny if she was, though...

Smiling, she answers "But of course, I wouldn't want to be anything else, personally. Though I have some good friends in other houses. Ravenclaw I think is the best."

"You know, you're lucky. I also used to be allergic to mayonnaise, it wasnt pleasant. It passed now though, I can eat it safely." Grace was again eyeing the chocolate, as if battling inside. She hardly took her eyes off it and listened to Lyra's rest of comment. "Oh God how could I forget! PSV Einhoven is Dutch too, isnt it? I s'ppose they're the best." She frowned at AZ. "The name sounds familiar but... Couldnt remember." She was still thinking about it. "Is black in their colors?" She again gave her full attention to Lyra. "Well, fourth is bad in world's -I think- 11th (or was it 12th?) hardest league." She laughed lightly. "You're right. But most of the footballers whine because if they get up easily, they cannot snatch a faul. It's fun to watch though, when match goes on and nobody cares, they get up like nothing happened. All their carisma dies." She laughed again.

Laura approched the food trolley and her stomach began to rumble. Telling it to be quiet, she then laughed. What good would talking to your own stomach do. She picked up half a dozen Chocolate Frogs, a couple of Cauldron Cakes, and then handed over the money.
