The Corridor Outside Professor Kazimeriz's Office The corridor outside Professor Kazimeriz's office is dim and has a thick, musty smell of damp, mildewed stone; the kind of smell you can almost taste and which will certainly linger in your clothes, hair and pores. The door is set at a landing halfway down a cold passageway that leads to the potions classrooms. In the corridor, you will find a small table holding an open, blank parchment book and a quill set. There is a sign on the desk: Quote:
Please ring bell or knock then wait to be admitted into the Professor's domain. If you prefer, please leave the professor a note and he will respond at his soonest convenience. Thank you. |
Abby makes her way down to the dungeon to see Professor Kazimeriz. She's not looking forward to this meeting, but he looked so frail at the Opening Banquet. Abby can't help it. She likes the professor and hopes the events of last term have not ruined their.... Abby couldn't exactly call what they have as a friendship. It's more of a mutual understanding. I know he's going to penalize me at least five point for coming to see him, so I won't be too upset when he does it. I wonder what excuse Professor Kazimeriz will give this time. I know behavior unbecoming to a Hogwarts' student. Students shouldn't waste a professor's valuable time pestering him with trival matters like his health. It can't be help. We have unresoved business that must be taken care of before classes start. Abby walks up to Professor Kazimeriz's office door and reads the note. Terrific, he's not seeing people. Things must be worse than I thought. I guess I could leave a note, but what I have to say should be said in person. I promised my father I would talk to Professor Kazimeriz in person, and in person it's going to be. Abby has never been to the Potion Master's office. She never had a reason to bother Professor Bonteceau. Abby's dying to see if there really are disgusting things floating in bottles in there. She knocks on the door and waits for Professor Kazimeriz to answer. |
How long he had been there didn't really matter. He had not bothered knocking on the door, he had a feeling the professor wasn't even inside to answer. Even if he was, the boy had no desire to rush their next meeting. The end of last term had been a terrible ordeal, the young prince was lucky to escape the dungeon for the summer. There was a gnawing feeling that was where he would begin his sixth year. Something changed with Kazimeriz, but he wasn't sure what. The former DADA professor was the only person (besides Kayla Winters) to intimidate the Greek boy. But when he was dismissed for the summer, something was different. He was locked up during the epic duel, so he had no clue. So impressed was he with the professor that he did not see the cracks in his foundation. Not thinking him capable of vulnerability or weakness. Though Helios acted the role of the rebel, he was secretly under the spell of hero worship. Good luck getting him to admit that. |
Breathe iiiiiiin. Breathe ouuuuttttt. Aaaaand, hyperventila- NO! You can do this Jakers, you can! Whether he really was supposed to come and see the old man or not, Jake knew that he really had to show up anyway. That little voice in his head, known as a conscience, which had not been present last year, told him that now... he needed to apologise for his behaviour. He was not interested in earning points back, for it had not been this man that had taken them. And he deserved that loss anyway, Jake only felt he should... explain to the professor that he was confused... and... well, you'll see. Ring bell or knock. ... "Errrr... okay," Jake uttered to himself, looking around for a bell, and instead just knocking, as it was the closest method at hand (no pun intended) to request entry. |
Professor Kazimeriz navigated his way down the winding stone steps to his office, not too surprised to see he already had a few students waiting to see him. "Good afternoon, students. I hope you have not been waiting long." He passed them and approached the door, which swung wide at the sound of his voice. "Please come in and be seated." ooc: Mrs. Weaseley, Helios Sunrider, and Zoerwarr are all admitted to the office; if your student arrives after this post please ring bell or knock and wait to be admitted, or leave a note in the charmed ledger by the door if you prefer. Thanks! :) |
Walking to the Potion Master's office, he is excited, to finally meet the awesome Professor Kazimeriz. Knocking on the door, he steps back to wait. Hoping that he isn't interrupting something important, of the brilliant professor. |
Herminny was walking outside in the courtyard hoping to find one of her freinds when she stumbled onto the door of the potions masters office and saw on the door the name Valon Kazmirez and practically jumped for joy ayt knowing he was still here cause seeing a new name on the DADA office door worried her quite a lot and she was just so happy to see that Kazmirez was still here. Herminny quickly knocked on the door and waited for him to allow her to come in. |
Kaika couldn't help to look down at the parchment on the table. 'Order of Merlin. Third Class'. That rang a bell. A bell she didn't want to be remembered, but still. In spite of that. Kaika preferred to enter the office. Which is why she decided to 'Ring the bell' instead of knocking. Knocking was for those Professors that didn't have the option of a bell. She was glad to wait. There was no problem in waiting. This was Kazimeriz. |
Corwyn walked through the dungeons looking for the potions master's office. When she spotted the office she breathed a sigh of relief that she hadn't gotten lost in the maze that made up the Hogwarts dungeons, and knocked on the door with confidence. Cor had seen the potions master at the feast and noticed the other students seemed fearful of him, but she had a plan. She thought the best way to deal with people who are very strict is, adhere to the rules, do not ask trivial questions, exude a quiet confidence in yourself and what you are asking about and above all, show respect without sucking up. |
Suddenly water seem to seep into the dungeon level, wetting everyone's feet. |
Kaika surely felt it. Water. Her head was now looking down at her feet, and the end of her robes. It was all wet now. Oh, great. "Water? Where's it coming from?" her mind never worked too kindly when it came to water, firstly because she didn't enjoy Quidditch while it rained, and the snow was even worse when it melted, so... "The lake?!" that was her first thought, but maybe it didn't come from the lake. Maybe. Was it better if she left to an upper floor? Was this happening only in Kazi's office or the whole Dungeons? Who would let them know? Umm...yes, she left. Visiting hours for Kazi were over. Any sign of water is never good. |
Professor Kazimeriz walked out of his office, water squelching in his shoes with each step. He grimaced, observing his surroundings. He glanced at the students who were waiting in the corridor. "Students, you will evacuate the corridor and head up to the great hall. Find a professor, notify them of water intrusion in the dungeons and remain in the hall for further instructions. Inform all you see that they are not to come down to the dungeon levels at this time." He noticed two Slytherins. "Slytherins, you two will go directly to Professor Forrester's office and inform him that there appears to be water intrusion in the dungeons." Kazimeriz decided to go check on the Slytherin common room and detention rooms. Perhaps the source of the water could be found in an overflowing basin or something. However, constant vigilence was how he lived his life; one could never be too careful where safety was concerned. |
Cor nodded at the professor and turned to the other Slytherin student, "Go try and notify out Head of House, Im not sure where his office is and I have to rescue my books from the water." With that, she turned around and ran back to the Slytherin common room. |

Thankfully, that ended up being a decision she didn't have to make, though, for when she rounded the corner and entered the waiting area, she was met by none other than Professor Kazimeriz himself. The good news was that he was safe and definitely knew of the situation. "Professor," she said, a bit out of breath. "We've just been in the dungeon corridors working together to urge the students to higher grounds. We've come to make sure you're alright, and thankfully you are. Is there anything we can do to help?" |

Kazimeriz turned to Greingoth. "I will need your assistance. Come with me into the detention hall, as we will need to evacuate those students and then see to the Slytherins if their Head of House has not already done so. Has a source of water intrusion been identified?" Kazimeriz asked as he started to walk down the corridor toward the detention chambers. |

Kazimeriz nodded. "We must head to the detention halls, and clear out students from all chambers. Then we must tend to the Slytherins, in case their Head of House has not yet arrived." Kazimeriz cast his corporeal patronus, and his appeared. He sent it with a message: "Headmaster, the dungeon level of the castle appears to have a water intrusion issue. The floors are ankle-deep in water. We are evacuating students to the Great Hall pending your instruction." The qilin took off at great speed, heading toward Bontecou's office. |
Water continued seeping in, rising fast. It was now at waist level and continually rising... The water was cold and dark, green, and murky... and no spell was going to stop its ascent. |

"Professor!" Helios called as he trudged towards Kaz. "I shall assist you." The young prince kept close to the old professor. While it may be rude to underestimate him, the golden haired boy was in his physical prime, and he would swim the river Styx before he let something happen to Kazimeriz. Following loyally, the Hufflepuff brute kept his cloudy eyes vigilant for anyone that needed help. Considered a trouble maker, he was determined to prove what he was born to be: A Hero |
Leaving the hall he wonders what's going to happen to the school. |
"Come on, then, Sunrider. We've no time to spare." Kazimeriz said, moving toward the detention areas. ooc: follow me to the detention check in areas. |
"Sir." And the young soldier followed, wading through the rising water. |
As Arethusa said, the water was drained out, the injuries healed, and everything was restored to normal. |
