Constantine Masterson was busy attending to a rather LARGE pile of wood. He had spent all morning creating a pit and then fire-proofing anything within a 100 ft radius. He was now getting all the wood set up in a tee-pee shape. To a patch of grass off to the side was sitting quite a few baskets of food and LARGE blankets. There were also some extra sleeping bags in case any body forgotten theirs or just didn't have one. Come on up! The party's just about to start!
"Meh..I like just mozzarella and tomato sauce pizza. Thin crust." Ooohhh..Piiiizzzzaaaa...
"Uhm. I went to Rome, Florence, Venice, Naples. We typically go either every summer or if we can't go in the summer we go in the winter over Christmas. My mom's side of the family...well, most of them, live kind of scattered about Italy." She thought about all the summers she'd spent at beaches all over Italy. And the multiple sunburns...ouch.
"Kevin huh!? Cool! Kevin and Steve will be SUCH good friends," Hayley exclaimed, patting her pocket where Steve was 'sleeping'.
"That's my favorite except I like a little meat on my pizza ya know?" Pietro really wanted pizza now. Crap. "You go to Venice!? That's where I usually spend my summers! My parents' house is there! This summer I'll be in Sorento, though. That's where my Aunt lives." This summer Pietro would try to go outdoors as much as possible. The sunshine was great and it made his aunt mad when he wandered away from the estate.

"I dunno..I like meat...but...cheese is awesome. I loove cheese! And it's fun to say..and OH MY GOODNESS! When I went to America once, we went to a muggle store and they had cheese in a CAN! And you could SQUIRT IT! It was sooo awesome!" Ahh....it had been gooey and salty and cheesey...cheeeeesseee...
"EEP! Sorento! I have a cousin who lives there! That's my favorite place to visit cuz my cousin is soo much fun!" She remembered going there last spring. Her cousin, Paolo had taken her all around on a motor scooter dealy bobber. Goood times.
Peeking at Copernicus from under his hair and out of the corners of his eyes, Garret wondered what on earth he was thinking about all this weirdness sprouting from Cela and Daphne. He himself couldn't make heads or tails out of it, so he was hoping the older and wiser Cope would give him a hint on how to react to all this talk about practising kissing and ... well, he was the one who started the bean flavour discussion, so Garret couldn't really expect him to have a similar reaction to that topic.
"HMMMM," he said, stretching his arms out over his head, pretending to be tired, "Wow, it's late, innit?"
Not really, and he was on a sugar high, but he wanted the topic to be changed and changed immediately!

"I can see that you are clinging to Vannie," Reese told him. "Aww. I don't want her to leave either." She glanced over at Vannie and gave her a little smile before she turned to Torin. It was sad that THREE of her friends were graduating this year.
"Are you going to cling to me when I'm a seventh year?" She asked him. "Because, I only have two more year before I graduate." And, those two years were going to go by fast. Sigh. She didn't want to graduate and leave Hogwarts. It was going to be hard, but she had to graduate. No doubt about that. "Oh, nothing much. I've just been up in the dorms with my cat," she answered.

Cela looked back at Garret sternly, "YOU better practice on your hand or something before launching at anyone because MY best friends have to be GOOD kissers, okay?"
Cel peeked over at Copernicus and added, "It was only good one of the surprising times, might have been the tree though!"
"Chocolate-covered caramel marshmallow, washed down with a cool glass of water" Cela whispered at Daphne and giggled a bit, clinging to her friend.
Daphne raised her brows at Copernicus before rolling her eyes playfully at the silly Ravenclaw. He was still on about beans and it only made her want to giggle but she'd control herself--for the sake of the alliance. "You're funny."
Daphne nodded enthusiastically at Cela's outrage until it registered. Too? Did that mean--"Tipps did the same to you?!" squeaked the blond in a horrified whisper. EEEEK!! GROSS. "It was horrible, he spit all over my lips," whined Daphne instinctively wiping her mouth with the back of her hand as if she could just feel the saliva clinging there and ruining her life.
Daphne wrinkled her nose at Cela's description of what would Cope taste like but gave into the clinging, nuzzling her forehead against hers. "That's a lot of sweet in one person, Celandine," whispered Daphne with a bemused smirk. But Cela loved candy so it would explain a lot of things.
Just a little, she blushed.

He was rolling in the grass, feeling quite bored. He had decided that acting like a dog was much, much more entertaining than watching people. Willie continued to roll onto the grass. "Woooooooooooof!!!" He barked, wagging his butt like it was his tail.
Willie then sat up on his knees and then placed his hands on his knees. "Merlinnnn'thhhh thith it boring!" He groaned, quickly covering his face with his hands. He then stood up, brushing off the grass from his knees and then began to scan over the camp. His eyes then quickly landed onto the back of the head of a brown haired boy. Willie smirked.
Ready.
Set.
GO!
"THYYYYYYYRUUUUTHHHHHHH!" He yelled as he ran all over the camp until he finally jumped onto the young boy and tackled him to the ground.
Going back to Cy, he gave glances at Nurse Avalon again. "Well ya see, mate, he's got magic--maybe mixed in with a beautifying potion probably," he wasn't calling her pretty--though the nurse was--but... yup.
"Very... crazy... yes. Sure."
S'mores? Hm? Thinking it was the boy's accent that had caused him to say it like that, he asked, "S'mores? S'more what?" He'd been looking at the fire. More fire? What, was the kid a pyromaniac?
The young guy's brown eyes widened in interest, hmmmm. "He's gotta, because ya' know mate. That Avalon..." his eyebrow mischievously shot into the air. "She not so bad on thah' eyes. Yeh?"
Cy folded his eyes and looked away from the school nurse. Enough brain cell power was being used on one woman. It had to end.

Smirking slightly at Cy and in her head she was thinking, Lord Andrus? Me call you that? In your dreams, sweetie. "Pleased to meet you Cy. I'm Livvy," she said, grinning cheerfully.
Boy were they both spazzes. One moment Cy was introducing himself to her... the next moment he was talking about S'mores! "S'mores? What is that, Cy? Are they some British or American muggle thing of some sort?" she asked curiously. S'mores... what funny word. Livvy couldn't imagine what a S'more was... and she was brought up in the Muggle world, assuming that S'mores belonged in the Muggle world. It should be... she hadn't heard of S'mores before ever in her life.
Cy's wry grin never seemed to leave his face. "Livvy? That's a pretty odd name you got there, yeah? Bloody brilliant though. Tell yah' folds that I give the good ol' two thumbs up." And as a result, Cy threw up two thumps up of his own.
Pause. Wait a minute. THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT S'MORES WERE? This must be made illegal, Cy wouldn't tolerate it. Well, even though Cy was pureblood, he was raised in a very muggle envirement... due to, very odd familial circumstances.
Time to explain.
"You gotta be kiddin' me dude." His jaw was basically hitting the ground. "A s'more? You eat it 'round the campfire. Best thing evah' known to human kind." He eyed them like they were aliens.
"OK OK OK. Listen, cause I won't explain twice." His brown eyes eyed Livvy for a moment, "Yes, it's a muggle invention. It consists of a marshmallow, a few graham crackas, and a block of choccie." The young Aussie looked over at the campfire area mythodically, then looked back two the two.
"First, you melt the 'mallow. After yah' get it nice and gooey, you sick it in between the graham cracka's." Giving the a-ok gesture, he finised his explanation. "And for a good effect, you put a bit of chocolate in thah' middle as well." Best idea ever, right? "Capeesh?"

So, rather proud of his explanation of s'mores, he sad there as smug as an 11 year old could. That was when he heard his name being called out. A huge smile broke out across Cy's face as he began to turn around to face his buddy.
That was when... WHAM.
The two bodies slammed to the ground in unison, Cyrus hitting the ground first as Willie was on top of him. Did Cy think it was funny? Of course he did.
Pushing him off in a 'i'm Cyrus and I own all' manner, he laughed shaking his head. "WILLIE! Mate, if I knew how to use this," He help up that piece of wood called a wand. "I'd blast yah' legs off!" Yeah right, in most cases, Cy was all talk.
"But really dude, where yah' been? I wanna start a fiyaaahh! I LOVE FIYAHHHH!" He was so excited, even, that he started to shake from happiness.

Livvy just stood there, watching as something went on between this... boy and her best friend. Guess she couldn't expect everyone to follow her way and her opinion on... 'love'. After what had happened between her and Chase, Livvy believed that whatever that was... she didn't want to go through it anymore.
Yet she still couldn't help but feel a tad bit hurt that Rachel hadn't told her anything. Even though they just established this boyfriend and girlfriend relationship a few moments ago, she used to tell her everything. Even the littlest of things. Guess they weren't too close anymore, eh? It was like that when Chase and Whit had got together, and they spent all their time together and left Livvy all alone. Maybe it was better if her friends were little boys who were still afraid of cooties. They'd still be by her side.
But she couldn't blame Rachel for not telling her about Reid... after all... Livvy had never told Rachel about Chase. But it hurt too much to think about it. Her mistakes and the feelings back then were too unbearable for a fourteen-year-old to take.
Yet.... here was Rachel... looking quite happy with this guy and Livvy felt so small and invisible. A part of her wanted a bit of companionship. Was she going crazy? She wanted companionship now? Hormones must be getting to her... yes... and now that Rachel has a boyfriend... it just added on.
Even though Livvy felt happy for Rachel, she wondered if their friendship was at an end. After all, she had heard many stories and seen it many times where the girl neglects her best friend and chooses her boyfriend over her. But Livvy wouldn't blame Rachel if she chose her boyfriend. He was pretty cute, no matter how unpleasant he was, and well Livvy...... she was just... Livvy.
Smiling gently, she turned to the two boys. "Come on boys... let's leave these two alone... where would you like to go?" Livvy asked, putting a hand on both their shoulders as she steered them away.
Blinking slightly at the sound of Livvy's voice Reid finally remembered that they weren't alone. "You don't need to leave. If you want to spend time with Rachel go ahead. Your friends after all and I suppose that it could be interesting to get to know you." Reid was trying to be friendly but finding it a tiny bit hard. He was so stressed recently but he never really let that show around Rachel, not wanting to bother her with inconsequential problems. However that stress was affecting his personality at the moment and he feared it would give Livvy a completely inaccurate opinion of him.
Turning back to Rachel he asked softly, "Would you like me to leave you alone with your friend. It seems like you two have a lot to talk about." he wanted to give her that option, even though he wanted to stay here with her he could see that her not telling Livvy about him would create some sort of strain on the two girl's friendship. And if Rachel seemed as if she was ignoring the girl or choosing him over her that could create a greater strain, something he didn't want to happen.

Elizabeth inclined her head in acknowledgment of the response, as Mari nodded to show she wasn't going to do anything to hurt her little plan, sending her best friend a mischievous grin before bringing her attention back to her boyfriend lying on the ground. She had to admit there was a little oddness, in being in the same place as both Robert and Mari since that hadn't really happened all term, even before her and Robert had started dting. But then, she couldn't really change things and there was bound to be some time when they were all together at the same time in the future. So this was just a way of seeing if it could work.
But as Robert opened his eyes and smirked up at her, going with her teasing, she almost forgot Mari was there. "I brought it out here, so it's mine. You're just going to have to get your own," she replied with feigned seriousness, continuing the teasing. Hearing Mari's laugh, she glanced over as she knelt down. "What?," she asked her, distracted enough that she was surprised when Robert's arm snaked up to pull her down next to him, and almost on top of him. Giggling a little, she curled up at his side as he looked at her searchingly. "Why is it you always seem to like having me on top of you?," she asked facetiously, before kissing him back. As he continued speaking, she grinned. "It's a campout. Whatever would make you think s'mores were going to be involved?," she joked.
Other than the fact that William had had marshmallows that he'd gotten from Professor Dumont, and the part where she'd heard talk of the treats as well, she was surprised Robert knew what they were. She had always loved when she'd gone camping with her father and they'd made s'mores, but since they were, as she'd assumed, a Muggle thing, some people at Hogwarts knowing about them still threw her a little.

He nearly began to jump in happiness when she said that she'd happily be his girlfriend. However he contained himself and let his eyes express everything he was too proud too. After all doing a happy dance in front of people would be way embarrassing and do nothing for his reputation, for he somehow knew that if he did anything like that the muggle press would get a hold of it through some source or another.
The feel of lips pressing against his cheek broke him from his thoughts. Blinking a few times he looked down at Rachel in slight surprise that she had been bold enough to kiss him. Then again a lot of girls were bold enough to do that. Eyes darkening slightly Reid determined that he would have to put a stop to that once and for all. He couldn't have others do that when it could hurt Rachel. Plus he didn't want them to kiss him anyway. Which was another good reason to have Rachel come with him to either America or France.
Silence. . . What did that mean?! Did he like it? Did he hate it?! He wasn't saying anything! Frantically searching within his blue eyes for answers, she noticed that they had darkened just a tad.

Wait - but not to her. Bummer. Turning to face Livvy, Rachel blinked a couple of times as she realised that her friend was still there; but she was leaving. And Reid - being the perfect gentleman that he was - was telling her that she didn't have to.
Thing is... Rachel could talk to Livvy anytime - they were in the same house after all, and shared the same dormitory. While this past year they'd been VERY distant, if Rachel actually went looking for her she was sure that she'd find her. Reid on the other hand was a Slytherin, and so was in a completely different part of the castle most of the time.
As much as she honestly did love Livvy, she kind of wanted to stay here alone with Reid for a while. . . He was, after all, her BOYFRIEND.
"Reid, it's ok, I'll catch up with Livvy later," the fifth year turned to him again, shooting Livvy hints under her lashes. They had drifted, sure, but that didn't mean that Rachel had forgotten what each and every one of Liv's looks meant. And she dearly hoped that her best friend hadn't either because right now she was trying to communicate, "I'm sorry but LEAVE! I WILL catch up with you later, I promise..." Or something like that that could be conveyed with only a look.

As Rachel listened, she couldn't help but see the truth in his words. A smile spread across her face and by the time he finished talking, she was positively beaming. "Buy me things? What sort of things? You don't HAVE to get me anything, just you for the summer is enough! Speaking of Miles, he here was. She smiled as she watched him come over. Yey now this camp would be really awesome.
"Hey Miles." She smiled at him, as he sat down next to her. Ooh. He liked camping? She had never known that. But it was really cool, and they'd most definetly need to go camping in the future. "Really? We better go camping our selves once we've graduated." Vannie nodded with a smile. They'd need a tent though.
"Where have you been anyway?" Vanessa asked, curious. He'd probably still been studying most likely.
Miles nodded. "Maybe." He preffered to go caomping just with Terry and Hugo, but maybe Vannie taging a long wouldn't be so hard. He'd never gone camping with girls before, so obviously this little camp-out would be much different to his usual ones. "Looking for this thing." Miles lifted his rolled up sleeping bag up and dropped it back on the ground again. "I always bring it .. just in case. But we haven't needed to use 'em before, so it's been tucked away in the dorm somewhere. And then ofcourse, I had to dry it somehow." Stupid floods, ruining everything. "How long have you been here?"

"So you wouldn't snog her even if Uncle Henry wasn't around? Well, tell me that you at least snogged her before." It would be a sad thing to find out that he had kissed Alice more than her own boyfriend had ever done.
He just cast Fyo a look that said 'watch what you say from now on' and pretended nothing had happened.
Aah, it seemed that his lie had worked. Well done, Torin, he thought giving himself a mental pat on the back. "Well, that's good to know," he added as said boyfriend suddenly joined them. "Hey, Miles. I see you are all pumped for this." He cast a smile in the direction of the Slytherin and thought that he would miss him almost as much as Vannie.
"YEAAH!" Miles grinned happily. "I would have been down here sooner if I knew where my sleeping bag was. I haven't missed anything have I?" Merlin's beard! What if he had missed the roasting of marshmallows? Or a little acoustic number from Mr Masterson?!
As Rachel listened, she couldn't help but see the truth in his words. A smile spread across her face and by the time he finished talking, she was positively beaming. "Buy me things? What sort of things? You don't HAVE to get me anything, just you for the summer is enough! But are you sure that people will be ok with me there?" she asked, not really worried about herself but more concerend for Reid. It was his movie after all - and if the directors didn't want her there, she'd have no choice but to leave.
Plus, she'd probably be a HUGE distraction to him while on set. Even though she felt kind of bad about it, she couldn't help but feel excited nevertheless. Seeing how a movie was made, with her BOYFRIEND as the star - nothing could be better.
"Well... Yeah. I mean, you didn't say anything so I just assumed that you didn't like it. I know that when I like something, I usually comment on it and it's cool if you don't but I just wasn't used to it and you have to understand that usually I never do these things and that I..." she replied quickly, rambling on and on as she explained her reasoning. Sure she was babbling like crazy, but she just couldn't seem to stop.
Her eyes left their hands and slowly made their way back up his chest to his face as she talked, and she couldn't help but fade away into silence as she finally met his gaze. Merlin - what HAD she done to deserve him?
"Just things that I hope you'll like. I know I don't have to, but I want to. Believe me if you were demanding I buy you stuff all the time then I'd probably get you nothing, or at least nothing that you wanted. But you haven't asked for anything. Also even if you do ask for stuff I wouldn't say no. Besides I didn't get you anything for Christmas or your birthday." which reminded him, he needed to find out when her birthday was.
"It'll be fine. Most of the sets are open any way. Plus one of my friends is normally there with me. The director is cool though, I've worked with him a lot and he doesn't mind just as long as you don't get in the way of where we're filming or destroy anything because of tripping he'll like you." Reid said reassuringly.
"Hey, I'm sorry, I just started to think of something else after you kissed me which distracted me." he said softly, drawing her into his arms for a hug. It hurt that he'd unknowingly caused her to worry because he'd gotten lost in his own world. "Normally I only say something if I don't like what someone has done. But with you I'll try and change that."

"First of all - thank you. Second of all - I didn't get you anything for Christmas or your birthday either, so we're square on that. When IS your birthday, by the way?" Rachel asked, preparing to commit the date to memory. She was useless at buying people presents, but she hoped that by the time his rolled around, she'd get better at it. Last time she'd given a present... Well, let's just say Jake was extraordinarily pleased with getting a cookbook this year.
Thing is, Rachel had been SURE he would like it. He had kept rambling on and on, talking about how he needed to learn this and needed to learn that and baking this, frying that. . . He sure had been hopeless at cooking, so WHY NOT get him a cookbook?!
Ugh. Right. Back to Reid.
"Oooh, can I meet these friends of yours? Are they all muggles, or do you have some undercover wizards on set?" the sixteen year old asked curiously, trying to envision Reid going out with a bunch of Muggle boys, laughing and having a really good time- meh. In her vision, a group of fangirls had just spotted them and ran up to them and... Rachel was DEFINITELY accompanying him this summer.
Rachel's gaze softened as he explained and she melted into his hug, surprised at how good it made her feel. She snaked her arms around his neck and buried her face in his chest, feeling more comfortable and safe now than ever before. There's only so much comfort a girl can get from a cool uncle. "No, don't change. I like you just the way you are," she murmured into his shirt, her eyes closed.

She heard Reid talk to her once more and she glanced back at the two as they argued a bit on whether or not she could stay. Reid didn't seem as bad as he was before... but at that time, Livvy had interrupted them, so couldn't quite blame him right? Look at the two now... they were fighting like an old couple. Smiling, she left the two and went to the two boys.
At Cy's reaction to her name, Livvy snorted and grinned. Her name couldn't be that good... plus it was a nickname. Mari had gone off and been a dolt and named her Olivia. Ewww.... Olivia. "Well... you've got a pretty unusual and brilliant name yourself," she said, smiling. Gah. That cute smile of these boys were getting to her.
... Why.... was this boy staring at her as if she was crazy? ...
"Uh... no I'm.... not," Livvy replied, slightly confused. Was it that big of a deal that she didn't know what S'mores were. "Yeah... sorry, love... I've never heard of such a thing." By the look Cy gave them, they probably should've. Now they were classified as beings-out-of-this-world, because they didn't know what S'mores were.
Livvy stared back at Cy as he stared back with those brown eyes. She smiled and nodded. "Alrighty... explain please... Lord Andrus," totally not believing she just called this boy Lord Andrus.
Listening to this boy speak was as fun as Quidditch.. which was impossible, because Quidditch was possibly the best thing ever invented. But Cy was so cuuuute.. his accent... and his language was quite peculiar. What was choccie?
Best idea ever? "I guess... it does sound good though. I wish I could try it," Livvy said, her mouth almost watering after listening to Cy explain the process of making S'mores. Marshmallows... mm... that she knew of.
Did-did he just sit down? Livvy watched as this little first year boy plopped down on the ground with a smug 'iwinandimsosmart' look. And before they knew it, this mass of about a second year, came rolling towards them at full speed, speaking an unknown language and knocking right into Cy. Thyruth? What in the world was that? Livvy was surrounded by crazy people.
She watched as the mass, soon became a Hufflepuff boy about Cam and Cy's age. Well wasn't she popular with eleven and twelve-year-olds? Livvy studied the boys as they soon launched into a discussion of loving each other. "Okay... I assume you two know each other then..." Hopefully.

Willie rolled onto his back the moment Cyrus pushed him off and placed both his hands onto his stomach. He gave Cyrus a wicked look, laughing afterwards when he threatened him with his wand that he didn't know how to use. "Thy, I be poppin' yer 'ead if I KNEW how to uthe me own wand!" He laughed. It was funny how both boys didn't know use their wands properly.
"Fiya? YOU GUNNA LIGHT FIYAHHH?!" Willie exclaimed rather excitedly, pushing himself off of the ground. "Yer gunna be lightin' fiyah? Tell me where you be lightin' mate, and I'll be there!"
He then heard a girl's voice and his head cracked in a freaky way towards her direction. "Yeeeeeaa we do, we do! And ye a'e?"
Mariel mirrored Sarah's movements and got into her own cozy sleeping bag, then turned to look up at her incredulously. She had spoken as she had been in the thick of the situation, which Sarah soon confirmed to be true. "You were there?" she asked, still staring at the Hufflepuff with wide eyes. "Wow," she breathed in a low voice, clearly impressed with the story of Sarah's adventure. And although it sounded exciting, Mariel wasn't completely sure that she would have wanted to participate in something that sounded equally scary.
Finishing off the last off her s'more, Mariel nodded thoughtfully as she stared off at a random spot in the distance. "Sure," she nodded. "I'm sure I can find time to get away for a while." And although it was true that her father was no Muggle lover - extending to Muggle-borns as well, the fact that he seemed so busy with his new wife and family often allotted Mariel more freedom than she had in the past - plus she was nearly 15. "Yes, I will be there," she confirmed with a nod of her head as she focused her attention back to her friend. She was certain she would find a way to spend some time with Sarah over the summer.
Mariel glanced down at the seemingly-reassuring hand on her shoulder, then looked up at Sarah, matching her quizzical expression. "Oh... no, I'm fine," she began slowly. Sarah had thought something was the matter with her. "I was just... hoping you were okay after what was written in the Aparecium last week," she said quietly so the people around would not hear. Certainly Sarah had one of those magically changing parchments, the whole school seemed too after it was mixed in with some homework at the beginning of term. And although Mariel was typically not one for gossip, the juicy news of the rag became somewhat addicting. "But you seem to be in such a good mood today... maybe you and Ryder already worked things out..." Of course, Mariel wasn't so sure she'd would be quite as forgiving if it had been her. Then again, Sarah was such an agreeable person that maybe she took things like that in stride... though that didn't mean she should be a doormat either, right? Her mind was in such a state of conflict. Taking a deep breath, she added, "I'm always here if you need to talk." Even if it was about confusing things like boys.
Getting colder by the second,Sarah decided to zip up her sleeping bag and lay back down next to Mariel.Pulling the thing up under her chin she turned her head to face her friend, and saw the stunned look on her face. "Yeah I know...me! With my previous fears I was as surprised as anyone that I managed to stay hovering on a broom over all these angry merpeople! Mind you," she giggled, "I wouldn't want to do it again in a hurry."
Sarah started to look back at the stars as Mariel spoke of the summer again. She dearly hoped her friend would be able to get and visit her,she knew that she would never get to go to her house anyway. "Hmmm, well we can owl each other often, and even if you can't stay with me for a while,we can still go out and have fun somewhere," she smiled, nodding her head in the same way Mariel had.
Mariel appeared to be confused at Sarah's concern.Had she gotten it wrong, was there nothing the matter? Mariel's response made her even more confused. "Oh...I...I see," she stumbled, not sure what on earth her friend was talking about. "The Aparecium? I've got one,but I haven't read it for a while. All it seemed to be about was Professor Lawson and his conquests," she sighed, wiggling herself to get comfortable. Her eyes snapped open wide when Mariel mentioned Ryder.Sitting back up she turned to face her, eyebrows screwed up in confusion. "What do you mean 'worked things out'? We haven't got anything to work out,as far as I know...." Sarah sat trying to think of the last time they had spoken. It had all been about his findings in the library, and him actually asking her to be his girlfriend. As far as she was aware there was no problems that needed sorting....unless Mariel was referring to that Hogsmeade situation the month before.....
Snapping back to reality,Sarah smiled warmly at Mariel. "Thank you,I appreciate that. And I'm here for you too." Reaching across again Sarah gave her friend another small hug before laying back down.

"June 30th? Reid, that's in like, a couple weeks!" Rachel exclaimed, eyes widening as she realised that she would now have to find the perfect gift in under a month. Even the cookbook had taken three weeks to think of! She was DOOMED.
When was her birthday, he asked. Lucky guy had A WHOLE YEAR (almost) to think of a present. "April fifth," she replied absent-mindedly, her brain working a mile a minute as it tried to come up with a good present. Guh - this was SO not fair.
AHA! Distraction - good. "You told them about me?" she asked slightly rhetorically, a huge grin smothered all over her face at the thought. That means that he's liked her for a while just as she's liked him. Laughing at his 'cool people' comment, Rachel couldn't help but inquire, "And? Are there cool people here Reid?"
What he said next made Rachel's brain go slightly fuzzy. She'd had NO IDEA that wizards tended to perform in muggle films... Running through a list of muggle celebrities in her head, she wondered how many of them were actually wizards in disguise. Jake would so LOVE this. "I'm sure I'll like them - after all, they're your friends right? Which means you like 'em, which will mean that I will like them. . ." she nodded with a smile, not really imagining Reid's friends as the type of people that she wouldn't like.
There really weren't very many people Rachel Rider could say she didn't like... Those two Huffie sixth year girls, her parents (but that was something ENTIRELY differnet) and... Well, that was kind of it. Ooh and that Slytherin girl that she'd disagreed with in that DADA class in her second year - but other than that, none.
"I'll stay VERY close - don't you worry. Those girls will not know what hit 'em!" Rachel replied fiercely, a slightly comical determined look in her eye. No girl was going to get close to Reid Hemingway this summer - that was for sure. Well, unless he had kissing scenes in the movie. But for those, she'd politely excuse herself from the set and go sight-seeing or something. Or she'd stay and make the actress's day a living hell No no! Sightseeing! Shopping!
Standing there in Reid's arms did wonders for her mood. She could not seem to hold onto any negative emotion for long and the fifth year was SURE that someone had slipped her a Calming Draught in her water earlier today because there was just NO WAY she was this relaxed. Well, as relaxed as she could get. No matter where she was or in who's arms she was in. . . Rachel Rider would always remain slightly insane. In so many more ways than one.

"Yea I know. I'll be eighteen, which is actually kind of scary." he said, looking back, briefly, at his life up until this point. He just couldn't believe that he would soon legally be an adult in the muggle world. From the tone of Rachel's voice he could guess that she was slightly panicked at just how soon his birthday was. "But it doesn't matter really. I'll be working and so wont really get to celebrate it this year, although my friends do want to take me out somewhere."
"April?" he asked, pulling away slightly and looking down at her. "That wasn't that long ago. So you turned sixteen then right?" he asked slightly confused. She was a fifth year after all so he had assumed she was fifteen at the start of the year but he thought he better confirm it right now. So you know he didn't right something stupid on the card he'd have to give her next year.
"It depends on your definition of cool. Their definition tends to be models. If we're going off that then no. But if we go by my definition then yeah there are 'cool people' here." he replied, letting her grab hold of the distraction, seeing how happy she was that he'd mentioned her to his friends. "They can be quite pretentious sometimes and tend to think that they're better than others. Probably because most of them are stuck up models." he mused. "But when you really get to know them and if they like you they'll pretty much protect you like your family."
She seemed extremely determined, it was cute really. Although he was sure he wouldn't think it was cute if the look was actually directed at him... He just knew that there wouldn't be many if any fangirls invading his private space this summer. It warmed his heart to see that Rachel felt so strongly on that issue even though they'd only just got together. He hoped that she kept that determination as time wore on and they got closer to each other.
Humming an old, familiar tune Reid let himself relax more as he just enjoyed the feel of the night air, the fire crackling not far away and the feeling of Rachel in his arms. If every night could be like this he would be in heaven.
