"Yeah sure,be my guest," she sighed, smiling and gesturing to the small space next to her. "No-one else is."

Clutching her puffy, Ravenclaw-blue sleeping bag under her arm, Mariel tentatively made her way out towards the advertised camp out. As she approached, her footsteps slowed, emerald green eyes scanning the numerous faces for any sign of familiarity. It seemed like ages seen since she had seen any of her friends - partly her own doing as she had felt quite anti-social lately and a bit... angsty, spending most of her time studying in the dorm and avoiding the screeches of mermen. She wasn't completely sure what had gotten her in such a disagreeable mood as of late... it couldn't be, ugh no, not hormones... She'd have to have a talk with Willow for some advice on how to deal with that. Her Quidditch captain was always able to keep such a level head about those issues.

Quickly snapping out of her thoughts, the 14 year old once again turned to look among the crowd. Somewhat nervously, she made her way past some people, not realizing there would be so many out tonight. Eyes flickering from one unfamiliar face to the next, the ends of her lips curled into a small smile despite herself at the sign of welcomed recognition.

Sitting herself down next to the Hufflepuff, Mariel grinned over at Sarah, who was looking up at an older boy, and cleared her throat to get the girl's attention. "Long time, no see," she said to the girl she had hardly seen since moving back to her own dorm. "Can you believe term's almost over?" At least now they would get a chance to talk, and maybe finalize some summer plans together.

But still impossible. More impossible to deal with than cute, actually.

She stuck her tongue out at him, and crossed her arms, tapping her foot very hard.

Rolling her eyes at the boy and shaking her head, Livvy just watched Cam continue on chanting that Bunbury was a cannibal. Bunbunz was NOOOOTTT a cannibal. She shouldn't be... she couldn't be. She was a lunatic... that was for sure. But not loony enough to eat man flesh! Eep.

"Oh yes? Does that mean you don't have many friends left that you have to turn to plants now?" Livvy asked mockingly, wearing a mocking frown. HEHEHE. She couldn't help but mess with the kid... since he messed with her FIRST!

Kay. Weirdo. The fifth year girl raised her eyebrows as she watched the little puny cuuuute twerp... cover up his ears saying how she was lying and that hobo extinction would be the cause of an apocalypse. Well... as long as this hobo before her was alive... the world isn't close to ending quite yet. But if he gets on her nerves, the hobo population will just have to deal with shrinking.

"Uh-huuuh... so... you're saying... that Santa either drank a Polyjuice Potion... or shaved his beard and performed the Malifius Charm to make him look female? Well that's rather disconcerting. Having Santa tend to your wounds as a female presence... what ever makes you sleep at night, Cam... let's just go with that then," Livvy said, grinning slightly. No matter what... the kid would win. Whether it'd be by a poking war or a tantrum.. he alwwaaaayyys won.

"Dont'cha got extraa brain cells? Like, you are a Ravenclaw," he told her with a nod, because Claws were just smart. Mmmmhhm. SMART. Though Slytherin was better, obviously. And he poked her again, not on the forehead but on the cheek because ... yeaah he just poked her on her cheek. Taking another bite of his chocolate bar, he looked around to seeee if moooore people came.

ANDWAITWHAAAATTT?? Him? Not have friends?! "I DOOOO have friends Olivia, I'm--I'm the most POPULAREST kid in school actually," he lied and continued on with his blank expression, "Plants are nice. That's all. You're just jealous you don't have any plant friends. HMPH." She was.

He raised his eyebrows back when she told him... about... whatever she told him. "Polyjuice? Malifius Charm??" he said aaall confusingly and then started with the lecture, "No no, NOOOO, Livvy, see... Santa has powerzz. He ain't a wizard. He ain't a witch either. He's got powerz. Alright? He JUST does."

Cam continued looking at Nurse Avalon Santa and gave a staaaare at her bag.

Kiri was in deep in concentration, trying to keep the Levitation charm active. The marshmallow had been hovering in the flame for a little while now, so she made it come back and gave it a scrutinising look. Its smell was incredibly seductive, too. She stretched out the hand not holding her wand and touched it. Ouch. It was very hot, but also sort of crispy to the touch. That qualified for Kiri. She wrapped a piece of her robes around her hand and let the marshmallow drop into it. Carefully, she took a bite... and nearly fainted in delight. It was so tasty! She shoved the rest of it into her mouth hastily. That was a mistake. The heat made her eyes water. When she swallowed, the marshmallow burned its way down her throat.

She was gasping for air as Emiliano joined her. He was carrying a box of his own with what appeared to be chocolate and a bottle of pumpkin juice. "Hot," Kiri breathed, and took the bottle out of his hand. A few hasty swigs later, and the fire in her stomach had been extinguished. "Erm... sorry about that," she said with a sheepish smile as she handed the pumpkin juice back to Emiliano. "I, er, think I got a little overexcited. I'll never have another marshmallow that's not toasted, I think. What do you have there?"

She inspected the box and watched Emiliano do his own little Levitation trick. She grinned. "Why no, Mr Saenz," Kiri replied, adopting his posh tone of voice, "I don't believe I have." A little while later, the first of the things he'd called... s'mores zoomed back out of the fire. He presented them proudly. A marshmallow with molten chocolate, sandwiched by crackers? Kiri took one curiously, mindful of the heat this time. It smelled, if that was possible, even better than the marshmallows alone. She nibbled on the one Emiliano had handed her. "They're... amazing," she told him, laughing. "Who invented them? I can see why you're in love with that person!"

She turned. "Hey Vanessa, come and try some!"

"I wish I knew really..." Emiliano commented with a loud chuckle as he watched Kiri eat the treat he preparared. "...but I shall go find it, google it as soon as I get home." He told her with a wide smile. Emiliano took a glance back to the flames, and thought about making himself a S'more. He was in the need of extra sugar those days. Sadness could be reflected, shown at some point of the last days of school.

Vannie was coming over, probably. So, he put his wand to work again and prepared another S'more for her then began to do his own. Vannie's was placed on a napkin and given to Kiri. "Hold it til she comes around, maybe. I think I like the job of being a chef..." He told Kiri, doing one treat after another.

Yes, Emiliano was hungry! :D

Coming out to the camp out, Cyrus was extremely stoked. The kid loved the outdoors, obviously. His twitchy brown eyes quickly flew about the grounds until they settled on a person he was familiar with.

CAMERON KARSTEN!

With the sleeping bag and all that jazz, Cy ran over to him with enthusiasm. Coming up behind him, Cy whacked him on the way and gave him a toothy grin. "How goes it, mate?" His Aussie accent flowing through the air.

Who, was this girl? She was older, but she didn't seem like one of those completely idiotic females. "G'day, miss." He saluted her with his right hand and set his stuff on the ground. "Did I hear you say... Santa?" Cy didn't believe in Santa, well, Teal (his father) had ruined it for him.

"No no No." Vanessa shook her head, eyeing Torin. Could he stop clinging to her now. "Miles is much much more good looking." She grinned at Torin, before smiling at Lyra. "This is Torin."

Oohhh! Thank goodness that was not Miles. He looked...a little young! Talk about robbing the cradle. "Nice to meet you Torin," she said with a well presented smile. It was...strange to see such a clinging boy but then again, Vannie was a very pretty girl.

"Have you seen the other PI-girls?" Her eyes gave a hint so that Vannie would know who she was speaking of. No need in telling everyone their secrets.

"Moon is pretty today, in fact it's pretty nice out here... or at least everybody thinks so"
he said pointing with his head to the crowd around them, the air was full of voices giggling and talking. He pulled his knees up a little, arranging his position so he would lean back a little to look up as well. Then she spoke again, introducing herself and offering biscuits. "Well thank you" he told her smiling taking one biscuit " My name is Luke, I'm a seventh year Slytherin " he took the biscuit to his mouth and his tongue watered. It was an amazing biscuit, probably the best he had had in ages. " What is this?" he asked her, his mouth full, completely delighted.

Meh, Camping.

Melanie Lockhart had lived her whole life in a big city until she started coming to Hogwarts, thank you very much. Camping wasn't exactly something she was accustomed to. She'd thought about not coming at all, considering the fact that she hadn't thought to bring a sleeping bag with her to Hogwarts...but apparently the Groundskeeper was supplying them.

So she had no reason not to come.

The second year trekked down to the, camping site...thing, whatever she was supposed to call it, lugging a giant black trash bag filled with all the necessities...in other words pretty much everything she could think of, sunscreen, sunglasses, a bucket hat, bug spray, bug bracelet, bug wipes, a flashlight, a lantern, a pillow, an extra waterproof pillow case, a few random Zonko's products, an air horn, a bandanna about 4 pairs of socks...and much much more.

Let no one say that she didn't come prepared.

After tripping over her own feet a few times on her way, she finally reached the area where most the other students were accumulating, and dropped her bag on one of the blankets, huffing and puffing (haha). Melanie gave the surrounding students a wary look, before deciding none of them looked like thieves and stepping off to find a sleeping bag.

A few minutes later she returned, happy to see her trash bag still there, lugging a carefully chosen, yellow and black sleeping bag, which she promptly seated herself on, putting on some sunglasses. Now all that was left on her checklist was someone to talk to...

...Or maybe some s'mores.

She was going to explode in a second though, so he decided to enjoy the break while he could. Leaning back, Garret stretched out on his sleeping bag, hands tucked under his head as he watched the darkening skies overhead. He kinda wished it would rain. Just so he could watch Daphne run around like a drowning rat.

Shock! Indignation! Shock! More Indignation!

Brooding, Daphne coloured up underneath the blanket before removing it from her head. That Garret Crocker was as ill-advised as they came yet here she was sitting in his approximate vicinity? Why? Because it was better than tending to Homework and his pooping abilities, that's why. "I assure you," she whispered surly. "If this is how you treat ladies that you're fixing yourself up for a life of wizard chess by yourself and half-delusional walks at night through your garden."

If he even had a garden.

"HAH!" Garret looked about, holding a hand over his eyes as he pretended not to see her sitting right there in front of him, "Lady? I don't see any ladies!" He shoved his arms in position, crossing them over his chest as he glared accusingly down at her, his nostrils flaring slightly in his anger. Ladies didn't let smarmy Ravenclaw boys touch them round their waists and hold their hands and kiss them. Ladies didn't go on dates with their bestfriend's ex-boyfriend!

Yes, this was all about Cela. He was standing up for Cela, that was all.

Google? Kiri gave Emiliano a confused sideways glance, then went back to her s'more. With two bites, it was gone. She licked her fingers clean from the chocolate and followed it up with a third one and some pumpkin juice. All the while, Emiliano was busily moving more marshmallows around. He wasn't eating much, but appeared to be enjoying himself immensely. Kiri watched him for a few moments, smiling silently to herself.
Soon, they had a stack of finished s'mores. "I'll take some of those over to Vanessa, alright?" Kiri said, grabbing a batch. She turned around and stumbled back to where she assumed her sleeping bag was. Night had set in properly by now, and she could hardly see more than a step or two, with her eyes all used to the brightness of the fire.

More people had joined Vanessa and the other Hufflepuff boy when Kiri arrived. "Hey, erm... Emiliano made some... s'mores, I think he called them, and they're really good. I brought you some," she announced and put them into the basket that still stood at the foot of her sleeping bag. When she straightened up, she could see the first stars twinkling in the night sky. For several seconds, Kiri stood and stared, then she remembered about Emiliano. "I'll go back to him now. See you in a bit?" She waved vaguely and trudged back towards the Ravenclaw.
He was still hard at work. Kiri squeezed his arm. "You know, you really do look like you're having fun."

That Daphne girl, she really didn't know what to think about her but she had to be somewhat in good spirits if she were friends with Cela. She gave a wave towards Garret and shrugged her shoulders up to make her look as cute as she could. Once again, another way of flirting with the boys in a simple way.

Melanie had literally jumped out of her sitting position and had very stealthily reached inside the trash bag for her air horn, which, before the boy would even know what was going on was pointed directly between his eyes.

A few seconds later she was left wondering why she hadn't grabbed for her wand instead.

Anyway it was only Claude, being silly, she had no need to worry, just like he had no need to yell. Hmpf. She'd remember to sue him when she was an old woman and only had half of the hearing she'd been born with and needed a special hearing aid. Melanie slowly let the air horn drop to her side and then back into the trash bag.

Her hearing was soon forgotten though, as Clark made a remark about 'the best idea ever' she was all ear. "What....?" she asked, curiosity sparked, wondering what was so spectacular that you could do with a simple balloon.

"Yeah, what is it even for?" she asked him, wondering what he was going to do with her perfectly good pudding. It was inside her bag along with all her other stuff...She'd been too curious as to what he wanted it for, not to bring it. And now Claude had to go and make her even more curious.

If that was even possible. "WhAT? Just tell me already, okay?!" she asked...well, ordered, already plotting to hoard the pudding for herself, if by chance he didn't tell her soon. He was probably just thinking about doing something silly with it like trying to feed it to the Giant Squid, anyway...

It was much better off in her stomach.

OH MERLIN!

The people of Hogwarts really had something against her hearing didn't they?

Melanie glanced around wildly once more, hearing her actual name this time, and almost fell over, as she was attacked hugged by Shana, this time having no time to pull out her wand...or her airhorn (which was probably a good thing). "Oh...Hey Shana!" she said as she recognized the red head, giving her friend a cheerful grin, and hugging her back. "Missed you too." Melanie replied honestly, patting her back awkwardly. If she kept it up, Shana was going to give her identity away to Claude though, couldn't let that happen... "And call me Millicent, okay." Melanie added before addressing Claude once more. "Mel's a nickname...That only Shana calls me... Because Millicent and Milli are so hard to pronounce." she explained, stuttering badly like she did whenever she lied.

At least it proved her point that Millicent was difficult to say...

...even if it really wasn't.

Close call.

Hopefully Shana would pick up.

And then about how Cela had rubbed the fact that she and Daphne had both kissed tons of times when he had never even kissed once. He'd show them!

Ack! Indignation, yet again. Garret was so improper. "Stop throwing things at me!" she squealed, batting away at invisible projectile. Pulling out her wand, she zapped the nearest moth hindering her vision. Stupid bugs. "Don't be ridiculous. Do you know what year it is, Garret? 2069. Ladies are hardly like the ladies of old. We're allowed to discuss snogging with close associates. As long as we don't go creeping in dark corners, everything should be fine."

That Daphne girl, she really didn't know what to think about her but she had to be somewhat in good spirits if she were friends with Cela. She gave a wave towards Garret and shrugged her shoulders up to make her look as cute as she could. Once again, another way of flirting with the boys in a simple way.

"Yeah...they can't miss this...campything." Vanessa smiled at Lyra, as she looked up at her. Surely it would be a lot easier if she could just stand up next to Lyra.
"Erm..Lyra?" She asked, motioning to Torin. "Help?" She giggled, smiling sweetly at Torin. He was awesome yeah? But she didn't really want to spend the whole of the night attached to him.

Amidst all of Garret's sulking and blushing and trying not to think about Daphne snogging when all Daphne could talk about was snogging, he noticed someone across the campfire waving at him. His back straightened when he realised who it was.

He waved back, a little too enthusiastically, the grin that lit up his face completely different from the pout he'd been wearing not thirty seconds ago. Whatever Daphne was saying flew right over his head as he tried not to make it too obvious that he was staring at Lyra Noir and how cute she looked tonight. In the firelight... in pink...

Lyra heard her name and looked back to Vans. GASP! Insert panicky look here because this is me. Lyra Noir. The girl who passed all of her classes on good looks and charm, not actual book knowledge. Lyra was the one in need of help now. "Vans...I...ermmm...ok." Lyra lifted her wand but what would be the proper spell to use on ungluing to people together. She could give the boy an electrical shock. That would surely separate them but, she didn't want to hurt him.

Her eyes looked from Vannie to across the campfire and she became giddy once again. That Garret boy was just too cute for words and whoever snagged him was going to have lots of fun with the boy. Well, she had her Christian. Everyone needed someone like her Christian...but of course they couldn't have HER Christian. He belonged to Lyra and to Lyra only!

Smirk!

Wrinkling up her nose, Daphne reached out and swatted Garret half with her hand, and half with the blanket wrapped around herself. "Are you even listening to me!" she hissed and swatted at him again. "At least have the courtesy to pretend instead of swooning at girls clearly out of your league!"

INDIIIIGNAAATIOOOON!

"Lyyrraa Lyraa NNOOOO. Not with your waand." Vanessa shook her head (Probably wacking poor Torin with her lovely and most awesome brunette hair.) She didn't want to get hurt if Lyra did something wrong! And Torin probably didnt want too either.
"Geet...a professor!" She nodded, they could get Torin to let go righhhtt? An then she could be freee

Her head turned towards a screaming Vans. "Oh," Lyra said as she placed her wand back inside her robes. "Oh....OHHH...Ohh yeahh!" Yeah! A Professor or staff member would be a good one. "You stay, I'll be right back." Lyra turned and ran off towards...well where the big staff members were.

"Umm...Can someone help me get two Hufflepuffs unstuck please?" She gave her charming smile as she looked towards Mr. Masterson since he was the first in line.
