Max turned around and was about to chide Valon for overreacting when SHHMMAAACCKKKK! He walked right into the door. "OUCH! That's gonna leave a mark. Now where's the handle?" he called out rather loudly and his hand reached for the door knob in the icy water. Something gave way and he groaned. "Uh oh." The doorknob was in his hand. "The, erm, wood must have rotted. Any ideas, hot shot former Auror besides HELP US!"

Kazimeriz glared at the dim shape which was Max. Dim, indeed. Jocks. And Max was still a smart-mouth, all these years later. "Move aside, Maximus. Does this door swing inward? The pressure of the water may be preventing it from budging." he said as he swam up to the door. "CONFRINGO!" he cast, blasting at the door.

"Smart move, Einstein," Max replied snarkily and watched as sparks bounced off the door. "Whatever locked my office door has created some type of shield that's PREVENTING US FROM BLASTING THROUGH!" But he thought he heard voices. Student voices. "Do you hear voices? HELLO? HELP US!" He was now starting to panic because this was the only way out.

Trying as she was, Sabrina found it hard to ignore the people in the broomshed with her. The short sixteen year old frowned as she tried to think of how the professors were going to get through. The Slytherins' panic was not really helping much.

Panicking was never good. If you panic, you can't think clearly. Didn't they realise that?

Well, sure, Sabrina panicked once in a while too, but hello? Not helping here.

Still, despite all the noise, Sabrina thought she heard something, but what? Biting her lips, she went towards the place she thought the noise had come from.

And then she heard a loud bang.

And then Professor Vindictus' voice. "PROFESSOR?!" Sabrina slopped towards the wall. Well, it looked like a wall, obviously it wasn't.

Kazimeriz chuckled, hearing the thin, reedy sound of panic entering the flying professor's voice. "Calm down, Vindictus. I certainly do not intend my last moments to be spent drowning in the dark with Kajsa Henriksson's grandson." He cast two simple bubble-head charms on them, just to be safe. "Conserve your air. Use your wand, son." Kazimeriz said, pointing his wand at the door and casting blasting curses again. Certainly, the spells bounced off, but perhaps they would weaken the wood and surely the loud BOOMING sound of the curse against the wood would draw the attention of any nearby students.

"BOOM!"

"BOOM!"

"BOOM!"

He prayed to Merlin that someone could hear them.

But Max was stubborn and removed the Bubble Head Charm. "I'm not going to look like some alien when they find me," he grumbled and tried to remember the layout of the area on the other side of the door. Ack! The ten crates of supplies. He cupped his hands around his mouth and hoped that his voice would echo loud enough for whoever was on the other side. "MOVE THE CRATES!"

... Looked like the professors were panicking too. Or trying to think of some way to get out. Obviously they had a very good reason. She knew the passage must be right in front of her, she was hearing the voices right in front of her. Clutching her wand in her hand, Sabrina dearly hoped the Professor was not trying to blast it open, or she'll be the one ending up in the Hospital.

"Are you okay?" Sabrina asked, and then felt like smacking her head. Of course they weren't. What a stupid question. "What happened?"

Don't blast the door, please.

The crates? They already moved it. "We already did!" She yelled back.

From what Max could see through the cracks in the door, the other crates had been moved. "NO! THE CRATES IN THE BACK!" he yelled and started pounding on the old door with his fists.

Ah, vanity. He remembered a time when he himself would have refused to wear a bubble head charm, lest he look the fool. But better to look the fool than to be the fool, and dead to boot. He stopped blasting at the door, now that Max was pounding all caveman-style on it. "USE YOUR WANDS!" he hollered at the kids, lest the students forget to do so. This would take too long if they merely used manual labor... Kazimeriz might be old but he was hardly ready to drown while waiting for muggle-style tactics to save them.

The other crates? Sabrina looked around the broomshed again and found the ones he was talking about. Pointing her wand at the crates, Sabrina whispered, "Mobiliarbus." She shifted the crates to the centre of the shed, which was going to get impossible to navigate in a few moments.

"NOW?" She thought it was better to ask Vindictus rather than trying anything herself. Just in case.

Use your wand. As if she needed reminding. Hello, she was a Ravenclaw, although sometimes she had doubts and wondered if the sorting hat had made a mistake ...

"Thankgoodness I put a fire-proofing charm on all parts of the shed," Vindictus said to Kazimeriz. "Any suggestions on which charm the students should use?" His teeth were chattering again and his legs were starting to become numb with the cold.

Kazimeriz shot another quick warming spell on the stubborn flying professor. "The door seems to be sealed shut by some sort of charm or spell; something unusual that is repelling even blasting curses... perhaps if we simultaneously cast sperecanto* on both sides of the door, the spell will be weakened enough to move the door enough to get us through...?" Kazimeriz speculated. "It would have to be done simultaneously and we'd need to act fast, and talk them through the motion to get it right... " That is, IF it even works. If not, or if the students on the other side can't cast it, we're in real trouble.

*ooc: a little tweak on two canon spells- spe= spell, recanto = recant/halt. Hope that works for y'all.

Max thought it over. "Yeah it might work but doesn't the force of the spell on the opposite side need to equal the force of the spell that we emit?" he asked Valon and wondered why the other student voices went silent. Did the water get them, too?

Kazimeriz thought quickly. "Anything would be worth a try at this point; besides, it might be better to have the strength of the spell on our side, as we want the door to move outward. As long as we can get them to do it at all, we have a chance." Kazimeriz said. "Can you hear them still? We must act... quickly..."

Needing a nice, quiet place to clean her broom, Anna nonchalantly strolled into the broomshed. The first quidditch game would happen soon, and she needed to make sire she---and her broom---were in tip top shape. She gently pushed open the door to the shed and walked in, whistling a bit as she did so. As soon as she was in, though, her broom, along with her broomstick servicing kit, dropped to the ground.

The students who were inside seemed to be a bit panicked, and if she wasn't mistaken, she could hear voices on the other side of a door. "Oh, Merlin. What's happened here?" she asked, walking over to the door. Uh oh. Something about this situation just didn't seem right. Then she heard voices...voices urging her to act quickly. "I can hear you, sir! This is Anna," she said, drawing her wand.

"LISTEN TO KAZIMERIZ. DO AS HE SAYS," Vindictus yelled and squished up against the wall so that Valon would have room to stand beside him. "Tell them what to do or else we're gonna be popsickles with rubber duckies floating around our heads."

"I...I've just arrived, sir! What did he say?" she asked, panic sounding in her voice. She turned towards the other students in the shed and gave them all questioning looks. "What is it that he said to do, and I'll do it..." She kept her wand raised and at the ready. Professors Vindictus and Kazimeriz could drown soon if they didn't act quickly! As she waited, she racked her brain, trying to think of a spell other than a simple Alohomora. That spell didn't seem to have much effect on this castle or its grounds anymore.

Despite the urgency, Kazimeriz couldn't help but chuckle at that image. "Well, you always did love to ride about on a stick, Maximus. A popsicle should be a natural shape for you." he smirked. The cast sonorous on his throat.

"LISTEN WELL! ANY AND ALL STUDENTS IN THE SHED. ON MY COUNT OF THREE, YOU WILL DO THE FOLLOWING... MOVE YOUR WAND IN THREE QUICK, SMALL COUNTER-CLOCKWISE LOOPS. FOCUS YOUR INTENT ON BREAKING THROUGH A SPELL-- NOT THE DOOR, A SPELL-- AND CAST THIS INCANTATION: SPECIALIS RECANTO. HOLD YOUR CAST ON THE DOOR UNTIL I SAY TO STOP. IF YOU UNDERSTAND THIS, SOMEONE HIT THE WALL THREE TIMES NOW."

"Maybe I should go get the headmaster and any professor," he said hopefully it being a good idea.

Aaron was listening on the hidden door.

Aaron quickly reached into his pocket and grabbed his wand. He then pointed it at the door. He then started circling his wand and thought about breaking a spell. He then said the spell. "SPECIALIS RECANTO!" And big explosion erupted from his wand and scared him. Crap. Of course. He then tried again.

"SPECIALIS RECANTO!" This time. Nothing happened. This time it had to be working. He kept his focus and kept the spell going...

Boom, boom, boom!

Just as she'd been told, Anna hit the wall three times with the hand that wasn't clutching her wand. Afterwards, she took a small step back and waited for the signal. She was sure she had the spell downpat, but regardless, she kept repeating the instructions over and over in her head.

*On his nightly run Gabben heard a loud sound by the broom shed. He ran down over to it with a frown a bad feeling growing inside him.*
"Anna is that you, what's go-?" *He had only known her for a little while but any scared voice seems to stay in your mind for awhile.He heard other people in the shed stuck and his eyes shot open.*
"Here too?! What can we do?"
*He turned to Aaron and nodded.*
"Yeah go get him and any professor you can!"

Aaron keeping his focused gave a quick look to the Hufflepuff and said, "As long as you can get this, I'll go get professors." He then waited for the Hufflepuff to cast the spell before he grabbed a broom and took off full speed towards the castle, keeping his eye out for any teacher or Professor.

"I'll try and do my best till they get here, now go fast!" *Gabben raised his wand and cast the spell. It hit the door but nothing happened. Gabben hit the door again and yelled.*

"Spells didn't work last time with the Groundkeepers hut either sir!"

Max could hear the conversations and upon hearing a few students decide to leave and look for help, he started to yell rather loudly. "NOOOOOO! NOT ENOUGH TIME!" And the water splashed against his chin.

"What can I do then sir?!" *Gabben was running out of Idea's, fast. Using his shoulder he tried hitting the door.*
