Reese nodded. Yes, that WAS it. Cale was just too busy finding a job that he hasn't had the chance to write her. But, she shouldn't put all the blame on him for not being in touch, she hasn't even attempted to write him a letter. Actually, she has tried to write him a letter, but always got distracted somehow. Oh, now she felt bad. She needed to write Cale before he started thinking she didn't care about him. "All...these...crazy...stunts," she slowly repeated. "He needs to stop letting him imagination run crazy, if that's what he's doing. I promised him I would be on my best behavior and not get into anymore trouble and I've kept that promise. So, he doesn't need to think of all all the crazy stuff I could be doing right now." She shook her head as she spoke.

She didn't know what else to say now. She started walking again as she tried to think of something else they could talk about. She patted her side pocket and a smile formed on her face as she felt something inside. Oh, it might be a chocolate frog! She reached inside and pulled out, to her surprise, a chocolate frog box. What was that doing in her pocket? She must have put it in there before she went to Hogsmeade and forgot about it. Shrugging her shoulder, she opened the box, but before she could grab the frog, it jumped out of the box and headed down the corridor in the opposite direction than the way her and Jack were heading. "Not cool," she muttered. She stuffed the empty box back in her pocket and sighed.

"So..." She said, trying to get the chocolate frog off her mind. She didn't know what to say, so she just picked a random topic to talk about. "How do you like sharing a common room with the Slytherins?"

"Well, I'm just speculating...I mean, he might not think that. If he did, wouldn't he have written by now or something? To check up on you?" Jack asked her. He was contradicting himself in a way, but he didn't want Reese to feel like Cale thought she was some crazy, wild, party loving Slytherin.

Jack started looking at his feet as he walked along, now that an awkward silence had somehow crept between them, when suddenly he heard a faint ribbit from behind him. He turned on the spot in a flash and saw a tiny chocolate frog hopping away. Reese must have opened it while he was examining his shoe laces. He lunged out for it and tried to grab it in his hand, but it hopped away anyways. Boooo. She probably wouldn't want it after it touched the nasty ground anyways. At least he had tried.

"Darn. Guess my Seeker skills need a bit more work," he joked, staring at the place the frog had been. He looked back up and continued walking as she asked him about the Slytherins. He nodded and smiled. "Yeah, it's pretty cool. A little crowded, and there are a few people in both houses who still seem to feel a bit of tension between the houses but other than that, I think it's fine," he said with a grin.

"Jack, is he not writing me because he knows that I haven't gotten myself into something, these 'crazy stunts' you are talking about, or because he's busy?" Reese asked him. First, Jack agreed with her about him being busy. Now, he was saying that he's not writing her because he knows she's not doing anything crazy. She didn't know which one it was, but she wanted to know. "Now, I don't know if you know something I don't know, but you are telling me two different things right now," she told him. "So, which one is it?"

She let out a soft laugh when Jack lunged himself after Mr. Froggy. "No need to get it," she said. "I have more where that came from." Actually, she wasn't too sure if she had more where that came from. If she didn't, then she would just make a quick trip down to Hogsmeade tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. She turned back around just as Jack talked to her. "Oh, yes," she agreed. "A little bit more work on your seeker skills and you'll be able to catch a runaway frog."

She rolled when her eyes when Jack mentioned tension among some of the students. She remembered her first trip to the common room and talking to Piper and that guy next to her had a little tension between one of her fellow Slytherins. She didn't know why all the Gryffindors and Slytherins could just get along and live in peace. Knowing that she hasn't said anything in almost a minute, she spoke up. "Yeah, it's crowded," she said. "Honestly, I don't see why we can't all just get along. Like, what you told Wesley on the train about the stereotypes or whatever their called. You and I get along without fighting, why can't everyone else? It's not like us Slytherins bite...well, most of us don't."

Jack blinked as Reese suddenly started getting defensive. In truth, he really had no idea WHAT Cale was up to now, he had just gotten bits and pieces of the story from talking to Anna about the letters he wrote her. The last one had been weeks ago, so whatever the former prefect was up to now, he had NO idea what it was. "I don't know!" he said, feeling a bit like he was being attacked somehow. "I mean, I don't talk to him, I've just mentioned him once or twice with Anna...I already told you we weren't BFF's or anything. I dunno what he's doing right now," he said. "I was just throwing ideas out there." he explained.

There. Another crisis averted. Hopefully.

"I know," Jack said with a sigh as she brought up the house stereotypes again. "I think some people seem to think that because they're in a certain house, they need to live up to the typical model of a Slytherin, or Gryffindor, or whatever. In reality it isn't like that at all. I mean, look at me!" he said with a tiny laugh. "I'm sure the Sorting Hat had to have made a mistake or something--I'm in the only one in FOUR generations who hasn't been a Hufflepuff," he told her. "And, when it comes down to it, I'm hardly brave or daring." he added.

"Yeah, Slytherins are just fine--wait, YOU don't bite, do you?" he asked with a grin.

Reese looked down at the ground when Jack started talking. She was being over dramatic, that was all. She knew good and well that Jack and Cale weren't friends and...

Let's face it, she was just being mean to Jack. If she wanted to know what Cale was up to, she should just talk to Anna or even write Cale herself. See, problem solved. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound mean or anything," she told him, hoping that he wouldn't be too mad at her for getting onto him. Like Jack said, he was just throwing ideas out. There was NO need to get onto him like she did.

People these days. Why did some people have to live up to the typical model of what a Slytherin should be? Or, even what another student of another house should be. She raised her eyebrow at Jack when he said the Sorting Hat must have made a mistake. Haha. Was he joking? "The Sorting Hat doesn't make a mistake," she stated. "You must have some hidden bravery or something." It was possible that people can have hidden bravery and not know about it, right?

....did she bite? Well, there were many ways she could go with this question. "Well, um, you see..." She didn't how to exactly say this. "I don't generally bite people, but there was this-ummmm-one time that I bit someone. I only bit him, because he bit me first," she explained. She was regretting that she said all that now since Jack will probably think she was weird since she bites people. Then, he wouldn't like her anymore. OH, NO! Maybe telling him it was Cam will make him not think that. "The guy I bit was Cam," she quickly added.

He shook his head and grinned. "Nah, it's ok. You're just worried about him cause he's your friend. I'd probably be the same way," he added. Nevermind the fact that right now, he really didn't have any friends that he needed to fret over. Except for Reese, of course. What would ever happen if they got seperated from each other for long periods of time? Would he be a complete mess, worrying about her and making sure she was safe? Probably.

Cue the awwwwwwwwwwws.

Jack shrugged. "Guess you're right. My courage is hidden deep DEEP down, though," he laughed. "The look on my mum's face when she read the letter had to be priceless," he said with a grin. He realized that it was becoming easier and easier for him to joke about his unfortunate sorting. Before he used to be so ashamed of the fact that he wasn't in Hufflepuff, but now, it really didn't seem to matter anymore. Strange. He wondered what had brought that on.

Maybe it was when he met the little terror Cyrus. And suddenly all appeal of that house was gone. Ah well, maybe he'd never know. Either way, he was happy that he finally seemed to feel at place in his house. Somewhat. He was still getting there.

"You bit Cam?" Jack asked, blinking at her in surprise before he burst into laughter. "Why am I NOT surprised?" he said with a grin.

Reese shook her head. "Not deep DEEP deep down. Just deep down," she told him. "So, you were the only person in four generations that wasn't sorted into Hufflepuff? I find that interesting. The Sorting Hat must have really saw something inside of you." Jack reminded her of when she was a first year and didn't know why she was sorted into Slytherin. Since she's older now, she has finally learned her Slytherin side. Being cunning was so much fun!

She couldn't hold back her laughter when Jack started to laugh. "Yeah..." she said. "You see, me and Cam don't get along very well. But, I guess you could already figure that out from Herbology class." She smiled at him and then yawned. She was getting tired now. Maybe she should make her way to the common room now. "I think I'm going to head up to the common room now. It was nice talking to you. I guess I'll see you later," she told Jack. She waved goodbye and walked off.

Jack nodded. "Yup. Even my younger siblings got Hufflepuff--therefore proving that I am the only weirdo in our family," he said with a small chuckle. This poking-fun-at-yourself thing wasn't that hard at all!

He looked up and saw that they had indeed arrived at the common room. And it was at that moment that he realized just how tired he was. He yawned and rubbed his eyes. "Yeah, I think I'm gonna take a nap or something...see ya later," he said.

And, feeling a little disappointed that their conversation had ended so suddenly, he headed to the boys dorm.

She didn't see him at the game and she was a bit disappointed but she wouldn't be upset at him. She had just out maneuvered pro Quidditch players. And she looked good while doing it. She needed to find Chris so she could tell him, and plus she wanted to see him they had been trying to avoid getting in trouble again for kissing and she was upsetting her that she couldn't be with her boyfriend.

So she was on the hunt for Chris Potter.

Chris rounded the corner after leaving the library. He had been studying all day. Just as he walked around the corner he bumped into Paris! He dropped his Herbology book like a klutz. "Hey Paris." He kissed her on the cheek. "It's good to see you. It's like been a while. Busy times. Hey I saw you flying in the Quidditch match thingy,you were brilliant!" he said smiling brightly.

She blinked and then he was there. She giggled as he dropped his book. She stopped and picked it up for him. She blushed as he kissed her cheek. "You saw me?" she squeaked. She didn't think he had been there and she was actually glad that he was there. It had been a big game for her even though that clod kicked her. Such behavior for an adult playing against a child, but no matter they were clobbered in the end. "I have missed you," she admitted. They were both so busy these days. her with Quidditch and gobstones and him being a prefect.

Chris smiled as she blushed. And then he said excitedly. "Well of course I saw you! How could I not have? You were up there flying better than the Pros were." He said wrapping an arm around her in a side-ways hug as he steered her down the hall a bit to a place where they could sit.

She slid her arm through his and around his waist as he stirred her toward a window seat. She sat down and patted the cushion next to her. "I was scared a nervous in the locker room but Professor Shackleton gave me a pep talk. That woman with a bat is a scary thing." she giggled. "But once I was out there I just saw another Quiddtch team to take down not pro quidditch players." she said as she smiled at the memory of cracking a bludger at those pros and knocking one of them off their broom.

"Aww well now you know you had nothing to be nervous about, the way you played. I really wish I would have been able to see you before the match." he said smiling and sitting down next to her on the window seat.

"Professor Shakleton? That woman is great. She is definately one of my favorite Professors." he nodded. "Not only is she nice, and gives great pep talks," he said gesturing to Paris. "I also love Arithamancy." he chuckled.

"You did very well! Who knows maybe it will be you in the Pros one day playing against the students." he said brightly. It would be awesome if she could reach a high level like that in something she loved.

She leaned her back against him and propped her legs up in the seat. "I wish I could have seen you before the match too. I looked for you but then we had to go into the locker room for the warm ups." she explained.

"Well Artimancy is not one of my favorite subjects, but I like Professor Shackleton, shes the faculty adviser for the Quill." she told him, and this was Paris' second year on the Quill and she loved it. She shrugged. "Well I want to be an inventor. I don't think I will go pro in Quidditch. I mean its good and all but its so limited you know. I want lasting greatness. I want my name to be in the history books with Da Vinci you know." she wanted to be famous don't get her wrong, but she wanted to be remembered centuries later.

"Oh yes the Quill. I forgot you wrote on there! That must be fun." he said looking at her. He then listened to what she wanted to be when she grew up. "Wow an inventer sounds fun! Well you will have to invent alot of things to be like Da Vinci, but I think you could do it." he smiled.

"So how have you been recently?" he asked leaning his head on the top of her's since she was leaning against him.

She giggled. "Well maybe I should put you in my column so you won't forget that your girlfriend works for the Quill." she teased. "Its the only thing I've ever wanted to do with my life you know. I've invented a few things already." she said matter of factly.

She smiled as he laid his head on top of hers. She was like a little kid next to him. he was well over a foot taller than her. "I don't now I fee like I'm missing everything and everyone." she admitted to him softly.

"Im up for an interview." he teased. "Well Im glad you have such high standards for your future." he nodded approvingly shaking her head with his as well, which made him laugh a bit. "What kind of things have you invented?" Chris then asked curiously.

"Really? Well we will stick together now, and try and stay in the spot light, ok?" he said brightly.

She nodded her head. "I could put you in there, we are working on a new issue." He could totally be on her hot list. He was dating her so of course he is hot and he was a prefect. "Oh I made this new hair potion that changes color. I used it on Cope last term for the Muggle Studies final." She told him. She actually used that potion on a few more people too. That final had been her favorite by a long shot. "You've never told me what you want to do with yourself." she pulled his arms around her waist as they sat on the window seat. She could see yellow and red scarves moving around outside.

Chris always looked on the bright side of things, and he always made her feel like a bowl of chocolate ice cream. Pure awesomeness all the way through. "You promise to stick with me?" she asked him. She didn't think she could take another break up.

"Me in your column?!" he said jokingly making a surpirsed tone of voice. "I never knew I was that popular." he added with a chuckle.

"That's neat! A changing hair color Potion. Did you get a patent for it? Im sure that would be a great money maker!" he said cheerily to her. "Wait you used it in the Muggle Studies Final last term? Oh yeah that's right you worked with the clothing part for the Final right? I worked with the Currency Changer. I knew you worked it too!" He said remembering. "That Final was fun!"

"Well when i grow up I want to do something to help the world, and to travel. So maybe something in the Law Department in the Ministry or an Auror maybe. But if that stuff doesn't happen I would love to teach. I really enjoy helping others." he said with a smile.

He then listened as she asked if he was going to stay with her. "Of course Paris, Im with you." he then kissed the top of her head.

"Yeah I was in the clothing store with Evangelin and Clifford. He was so funny, He didn't have a clue what he was going." She giggled. Well Clifford was funny in any situation if she thought hard about it. "Yeah I loved it too. I wonder what Professor Dumont has up his sleeve for the final this year." she was hoping they would get to cook something for the final.

"My dad's best mate is an Auror. He's like the top Auror and everything, and he is huge. I mean he looks like a real mountain. Like he is 7 feet tall." she explained about Warren. She is literally scared of him, even though her mom had knocked him unconscious one day. "My mom used to work as a judge in the Wizengamot. She really liked it too, but she works for the Prophet now. But I think you would make a great Auror. You're really smart." she assured him, but it did sort of scare her that he wanted such a dangerous job.

Se melted like warm white chocolate in front of the fireplace when he kissed the top of her head. Usually she hated when people did that, but with Chris it was uber sweet. "I'm with you too Chris," she promised.

"Oh you were those two? They are both really nice. I met them both this term. Clifford is pretty funny." He then thought about his partners. "I was partnered with the gryffindor Herminny and Dominic was there too." he laughed.

"Really your dad's friend is the top Auror? Well maybe I can meet him one day!" he said excitedly. He then listened intently about her mother's past profession. "A judge? That's cool. But so is a reporter." He laughed. "You really think Im smart enough to be an Auror?" he said smiling brightly. "Well thank you. You are smart enough to be an inventor too!"

"Yeah Clifford is awesome. I really like him. Ugh Dominic," she told him. She had been trying to be nice to him but he still wanted to be a git to her.

She nodded. "Yeah Warren and Alexa are the best there is. And you can come by the house any day and meet them. They are always at the house," Maybe if Warren was there her dad wouldn't freak out about Paris having a boyfriend like he normally did. Well he had only met 2 guys, and that was the gist of her dating experience to be honest. But being the diva she was she had to give the air that she went though guys like a Marc Jacobs trunk sale. "Of course I think your smart enough." she said turning around to look at him. "I mean you didn't get that prefect badge by being a git. And plus you're with me that automatically makes you good enough for anything," she teased with a wink.

"Not a big fan of Denton are you?" he asked with a smile on his face. "I haven't talked to him much but..." he trailed off he wasn't sure what Dom had doen to make Paris not like him.

"Really i would love to go to your house and meet them. That would also give me the opportunity to meet your parents, and visit you. Well after I meet your parents you can meet mine ok?" He said with a grin.

"Oh well thank you." he said looking at his badge for a moment. "You are also in a position of leadership too you know, Quidditch Captain requires smarts." he laughed.

Okay, so things weren't going too well here. Bunbury was flirting it up with that git Colin and his mother was probably plotting evil punishments for him right that moment.

But he was still doing this. He had to. Sitting on the floor, he took out a piece of parchment and some invisible ink. He wasn't stupid enough to use the real stuff.

He began to write down ideas for how he would do this.
