Nancy had once again, in search for a spot to do her Transfiguration homework, got lost in the huge and confusing castle. She probably wasn't any better than their headmaster. She must have taken the wrong turn as often as he had. Definitely. Why couldn't they put up floorplans or something? That would make everything a lot easier. Especially for people like her. Now where was she?

Glancing around at her surroundings Nancy cocked her head slightly to the side in an attempt to figure out at least which floor she was on but nothing, absolutely nothing looked familiar in her eyes. How come she'd never ever been here? It was her fourth year here already, after all. And particularly with all the times she'd already got lost she had been sure to know every corner of the castle already. Well, duh, apparently not. Now, was there anyone around to help her find her way? Anyone apart Boris the Bewildered and Gregory the Smarmy that is, of course.

Mari walked along the fifth floor corridors, meaning to go one way but going another due to her distracted thoughts. Lots of them revolved around the oddness between her, Cayden and Elizabeth, and then there were classes on top of all that mess too.

She ended up at the statues near a definitely impassable section of the corridors, sighing with frustration as she realized where she had ended up. She turned around rather quickly, not really looking where she was going as she neared the statues that indicated she was almost out of that particular corridor.

Robert walked down the corridor on his way to the stairs, his head down and his hands in his pockets. He needed to get to the greenhouses in time to meet Rose there or she was liable to leave. He had made a promise and to him a promise was a promise, she was going to pass with flying colours this term. As he got to the section with the statues he saw someone up ahead and sighed there was only room for one to pass through at a time.

The girl seemed lost that was for sure.... Sighing he cleared his throat, "Umm..excuse me...I'm in kind of a hurry." His tone was definitely polite but his body language showed something akin to irritation.

Mari should have been aware of who was in the hallway with her but she was distracted enough that she didn't. She only looked up when she heard the person speak, and then she stopped, unsure of what to say or do. " I'm sorry," She said and then she made a weird little noise as she realized she and Robert were alone. For the first time...since, well, since the letter. " Um...I'm sorry, I'll move." She said wanting to get out of there as quickly a she could.

Copernicus needed to visit Professor Lupa very soon, and figured he might as well get it out of the way during his free period. He stalked down the fifth floor corridor, but his progress was arrested by the sights. Swamp? On the fifth floor? What was THAT about?

Plymouth was roaming the halls aimlessly, as per usual. He was checking out the statues today, seeing if any new ones had popped up since last term. No new statues, but he did note a particular stepbrother. "Perni. Hey."

Copernicus turned and raised a quizzical eyebrow at Plymouth. They were on uneasy speaking terms with each other, but he would take any gifts Plymouth extended his way. Instead of making a deal out of it, though, he pointed at the swamp. "Do you know why this is here? I mean... it smells really bad."

"Beats me," Plymouth shrugged. How had HE not noticed it...? "I just figured you had tooted, you know?" Plymouth grinned at Perni.

"Well, I did have broccoli for lunch," Copernicus mused, as if this was TOTALLY normal conversation and not completely embarrassing. "But I think the smell is coming from the patch of swamp. Very... erm... trapped swamp gasses sort of thing, which is impossible, because we're in the middle of a hewn stone corridor." He wanted to go look in the swamp. Totally did.

"I wonder if there are turtles in it," Plymouth pondered out loud. He moved over to stand near Copernicus and prod his toe at the edge. "So.. how's.. things?"

"I don't know if turtles like the swamp. The water would be so... unpleasant to swim in," Copernicus peered into the muck and then immediately backed off, just in case someoen came running by to push them in. Hey... it was Hogwarts... there were some VERY ill-mannered people around.

"Things are fine, I guess." He hesitated a long moment before adding, "I think something might be wrong with Celandine, though. I saw her in History of Magic and Care of Magical Creatures and she acted ill."

Plymouth took a deep breath - which he immediately regretted - then coughed to let it out. Gag. Swamp were staaaaanky. "She was .. upset when I was with her. I think I overreacted about you and her." Plymouth shrugged. "Maybe not. Not sure. I'll check on her though, no biggy."

Copernicus let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding. So that answered that question, really. No matter what the pensieve memory looked like, Plymouth and Cela had made up. They were fine, and Plymouth might just forgive him for falling for his girlfriend someday. Hopefully.

"Yeah, that's a good idea. It might be nothing, but we had nifflers in CoMC, and she just laid out on the grass like it was sunbathing time. Very odd for the energetic Miss Toussaint."

"She's pretty when she has a tan," Plymouth again with the thinking out loud. "But don't worry. She might have just been... bored. She's probably got twenty nifflers at home, right? Or homeS I mean. Probably two in her shirt alone... Hehe.." Plymouth sat down at the edge of the swamp and started taking off his shoes.

Cope frowned at the top of Plymouth's head before taking another step back. "You're not seriously contemplating going in there, Plym. It's... you might smell all week. Imagine having this scent follow us back to the dorm."

"Imagine the look on CellBell's face when I catch her a turtle.. or an alligator ... from this swamp..," Plymouth countered, not looking up. He rolled his pants up as far as he could get them. "It'll be alright. I know how to swim and you know CPR."

"For the record, I don't know CPR. And you might not know how to swim. For the record," he seated himself on the floor to watch. Hey, you couldn't stop Plymouth from doing something he wanted to do, and that was a fact.

"You DONT know CPR? I thought you knew everything," Plymouth started with his toes first. Squishy. "I don't know what it stands for, but you blow air in my mouth until I come back to life. Got it? You got any rope on you?" Plymouth slowly started into the swamp. "How about carrots?"

"What are the carrots for?" Cope leaned back on his hands and watched Plymouth wading. "And no, no rope for Cope." Man, he was a funny funny boy.

"I bet there's a spell that does that CPR thing," Cope offered helpfully and wished that he had Cela there, because she would KNOW if there was. Cope wasn't breathing for ANYONE today.

"To lure the turtles, of course," Plymouth replied. Maybe Copernicus wasn't as smart as Plymouth thought. "You already have like a thousand house points? I don't have any. I dont' know why, but I just haven't been in the mood lately. Maybe me and CellBell have the same bug." Plymouth tiptoed farther into the swamp.

Turtle sightings: 0.

"It could be. Did you two eat anything odd recently? Do you have a fever?" Copernicus thought about that before sitting up. "Maybe I have it TOO, but I just don't know it. I haven't earned a single house point, Plymouth. Not ANY."

"If I have the bug from Cela, I probably got it from nuzzles. From her." Plymouth turned and gave Copernicus a long look. "Here turtle... turtle..."

"Then I don't have it," he relaxed back against his hands again. They WERE still nuzzling. Good to know. Very... good... to know. Merlin, why had he been stupid enough to believe that pensieve memory changed anything? Nothing had changed, except the knowledge that Cela did like him but she was still staying with Plymouth, so she liked him more.

Which was good, because it made Plymouth happy. And he'd rather they both just be happy. He'd be happy if they were. Honestly.

"You're going to stink so much, Plym. I'm just saying."

Robert's irritation vanished as he recognized the voice of the girl in front of him. Mariska. STaking a deep breath he steeled himself yet her voice still made his heart ache. He stood there seemingly rooted to the spot he stood in and without any words. Sure he wanted to ask her questions but he knew he probably wouldn't get an answer to any of them. Feeling uncomfortable he shifted his bag higher up on his shoulder and ran his hand through his hair in his habitual gesture. What could be said that wouldn't make him feel worse knowing the answers? "Ummm....hi," was all he could manage.
