Daniel sat silently in the couch listening. He then raised his hand and said, "Professor, I can't say that I am a perfect student. I have been in detention in the past. I even had lost precious points in a few times but I have learned from my mistake. I have learned that naughty students should not be dealt with by yourselves. Also, hexing and cursing another student is a big no, no." he said remembering the event last term where he was in detention. "Also, courtesy will not kill anybody. May it be a Professor, a school staff or a fellow student, courtesy is a must."

He then looked at his fellow Gryffindor, "Also coming to class late is a bit, humiliating. And like what Professor Dumont had said, it wouldn't hurt if we try to make some extra stuff just to bring the Lion's Pride alive." there is a bit of a pause "And, I am sorry if it sounds harsh but we look like we are worst than Slytherin." said Daniel with a sad face.

Fyo had been quite in his usual, dreamy way so far, but Daniel's comment made him look up.

"You know, I don't think Slytherins are all that bad," he said, wide-eyed and shaking his head. "There are good and bad people in Slytherin, just like there are good and bad people in any other house, mate."

Then he added, "Gryffindors just need to be courteous and - mostly - go by the school rules; answer in class, hand in their assignments on time. I think we'll be fine with that, no?"

Selena have stayed quiet since the beginning of the meeting. Her hands could be seen clenching and unclenching every time the issue about house points is bought up. What's with those people? She thought, annoyed. I mean, following rules aren't that hard. Why do they have to break them and cause disastrous scores? She, in an effort of trying to gain points for her beloved house, signed up for the Quidditch tryout. Why couldn't they pay some respect? Teachers are wiser - and older - than us, and rules are not created to be broken. Her hands clenched again, nails digging deep into the palms.

Sarah hurried into the Common Room. There was a special meeting for Gryffindors and she had been strolling along the corridors. Amusing really were the coats or Armour's and everything but now she was worried whether she was late. She spotted a group of people with Professor Dumont. Damn, she was late! She scurried forwards and spotted suddenly. "Sorry am late, what did I miss?" she said with a pant and a very annoyed and worried look.

Via sat there and listened as the others exchanged views and opinions. She wasn't going to comment anyway. She just wanted to work on the homeworks and turn over as much as she could. Daniel's comment about Slytherins had somewhat earned some comments from the other Gryffindor's with friends from that house. She's one of them.. they're not bad at all.

But even though she's silent, the thought about losing points gave her the creeps. She haven't lost any points for her fours years of stay there and she's afraid to.

"Uhmm..."Jane whispered and leaned to the right, exposing Christian who was somewhat behind her.

Homework and pair discussions would help alot.Jane smiled as she thought about that.

Christian chuckled silently. The firstie had no clue who he was dealing with. Christian popped a little red candy into his mouth and smiled.


He lifted his head at Dag and gave him a little wave. Then pulled Jane closer to him and lightly held her hand.

Jane smiled, showing her sparkly teeth again. She raised her hand to ask the Professor a question.

"Professor?Are there like any labour-work thing we could do around the school to earn points?Like even if it is one point for 7 hours of weeding or trimming of plants..something to work us out of the negatives?"Jane said that with the wild flowers she'd seen this afternoon in mind. She would be willing to work for minimum amount of points if it is just to get Gryffindor up over 0.

Daniel smiled, "I'm sorry about that." he said "Let me rephrase that. The image often inculcated on our mind about Slytherin is that all but, I know that there are good people in there and I do have some friends over there." he said looking at the group, "Sorry if I raised some brows about that, but you got the picture. With what the records we are having at the moment we are worst than the worse." he said hoping the new statement won't have any violent comment now.

Yeah, Via got the picture of what Daniel's trying to imply. Worst... It's only the start of term and they had alot of points off already.They should have been on the lead if only it was the reverse.

Herminny had beenlistening in and decided to pipe up and said, "It's nice to respect Slytherins achievements but thats not gonna help us stop some of the members of Gryffindor house from doing the wrong thing and losing house points. I suggest we bring back the point board we had last year that way they know both there achievements and failures will he present for all the house to see. I think it could help if these people care what their peers think about them, what do you guys think?"

Professor Morgan walked in the room and gave Professor Dumont a quick nod. "If I may interject." She said, walking up beside him. "Look you guys, most of you are doing an outstanding job. Attendance in lessons could be higher but for the most part, I couldn't be more proud. Its the blatant disregard of the rules that has got to stop. The talking in class, the PDA, and this includes hand-holding during this meeting." She looked over at their newest Gryffindor. "Its just not appropriate behavior." The look on her face showed more than disappointment. There was anger there as well.

"Just make it a rule to arrive to class ON time, to NOT talk during a lesson, and to always, and I mean ALWAYS address others with respect. Especially your professors." The mere idea of students being rude to their teachers was appalling. "Simply follow the rules and try your best in class and we will get out of this points slump."

Via turned to Herminny's voice, "I agree," Via piped. Okay.. she promised she won't talk. She smiled at Herminny for the idea. "In that way they would be dared not to lose points because everyone will see the scores of each student belonging here... whether they have negative or not."

Via was surprised to see her up there. But she was a former Gryffindor as far as she knows. "Good day Professor," she greeted her. Just then Professor Morgan started specifying things that should be avoided and she would have to agree on her. Her eyes scanned the room for a moment and she again looked at her hands. Last term they had another one memorable event again from Professor Pierce. Well, that had a big impact on her.

Lilly had been sitting in the back and listening to everything that was going on. she had a question though so she raised her hand. "um excuse me maim. i was wondering well what i mean to say is are we not allowed to make friends. i mean you said no talking during class. if we are doing our work but we run into someone new are you saying we can't talk to them and introduce ourselves. i am new to the school and i haven't met to many people. is it reasonable to say that you can't ask for help from someone new and introduce yourself?" she put her hand back down and waited for a response.

Was she allowed to respond at the girl? She wanted to answer this. Yeah, she could see that the girl was new for she still don't know her name. The answer to her question for Via's perception is... Yes they are allowed of course however there are certain limitations to the conversation and introduce yourself thing. Yet she didn't dare raise her hand and she waited for Professor Morgan to answer it. There might still be other things she doesn't know.

"Hello Via. Hello Herminny" Professor Morgan smiled. "Girls, why don't Professor Dumont and I discuss the point board privately. Then we can decide whether or not to hang it back up." Maybe a little motivation would do the Gryffindors some good.
"Lily you are more than welcomed to make friends, I certainly don't want you to think I'm suggesting otherwise. But the classroom is not the right place for making friends. That's what your Common Room and other such places are for. Find somewhere were socializing is allowed." She clarified. "When a professor is trying to teach a lesson and you're busy talking to your friends instead of listening, it shows disrespect. As a rule of thumb, I suggest a simple smile, or 'Hey, how are you doing' before the lesson begins. But once your professor's started teaching, your focus should be on the lesson at hand. After all, we don't come and try to teach you things while you're busy hanging out with your friends, right?" She smiled at the thought.

Fyo smiled, his wide eyes already full of dreams and other, fuzzy things, again. "It's alright," he said, looking at Daniel. "I didn't mean to be impolite, or anything."

Fyo listened to the professor repeat the general rules. It was simple enough, and he wondered why some students couldn't follow it all. He nodded, trying to push the dreamy, fuzzy things to the back of his mind.

He looked over at Lily, listening intently to her question. Hmm. He could probably answer this one but, seeing how she had asked the professor, kept quiet.

"yes professor, and it is understandable that while the professor is speaking to be quiet. i just meant during a practice time or such like that. just saying hello and if you have a question about something. i just wanted to clarify that, that was ok." she said trying to convey her thought. she didn't think she was doing to good of a job.

Via listened at Professor Morgan, "Of course Professor," she said. "It's for you to decide." Thinking about it over again, there's a disadvantage.

Maybe this meeting would bring a lot of change to them. She'd have to listen more intently coz she still doesn't know everything. And how she hoped the teachings from Professor Dumont and Professor MOrgan would bring Gryffindor back to the top.

Malfalda walked into the Common Room proudly."I got the owl.So,what's the problem?"she asked curiously

"Well hun, each professor is different, so what might be allowed in one class; could get you in trouble in another. Most of the time, if your professor assigns you to work with a partner then they expect you to communicate with each other. But the topic should remain class related the entire time. As for questions... if in doubt, raise your hand and ask your teacher. That's not only the best way to avoid losing points but also to ensure you end up with the correct answer." She answered.

Via noticed a first year enter the room and she looked like she hadn't had the faintest idea that a meeting was happening. "Hello there," Via whispered in her call with her smile. "You can come sit with me." And Professor Morgan had spoken again.

"ok thank you professor. i appreciate your patience with my questioning." lilly said.

Iliana looked up. She pondered for a moment whether or not she should speak to this girl about how to enter a room quietly. Then she decided, Not in front of everyone. She'd just speak to her in private after the meeting.
"Your most welcome Lilly. And thank you in taking an active interest in trying to help." She said with a smile. "I don't want you to be scared in class, I just want you to have every opportunity available to you to do well."

"no problem professor i just want the best for Gryffindor. I am not going to be scared i just wanted to be sure of what was allowed and what was not as to not get points deducted. thanks." lilly said
