Kiri looked around uneasily. She'd completely forgotten that today was the day they were going to get a visit from a werewolf. When the lower floors were being drained from the water, she'd merely followed the stream of students into the Great Hall under the assumption that, at the end of the stream, something interesting was going on.
Which was admittedly true, in a fashion. Werewolves were fascinating beings, and Kiri was very well aware of her own stereotypical view of them. Now would be the perfect time to change them, then!

But... she shifted in her seat and surveyed the benches behind her. There were a lot of teachers there. Probably just to see the show, but some of them were definitely looking a bit tense. Professor Lupa especially (Kiri leaned sideways to peer past a huge fifth year) appeared to be the centre of attention in a group of professors that were clustered around them, including the headmaster.
And she wondered where Raiden was. Counting the times she'd been able to speak with him over the last... weeks was no calculation that required an advanced thinker.

"I guess I should go first then" Marcus replied giving the Headmaster a nod and he turned towards Less and Kazi. He gave Professor Kazimeriz a polite nod and then reached out squeezed Less' hand in reassurance. "We'll all be here" he murmured before moving forward to the front of the podium.


"Okay everyone quiet down. We're about to begin." Marcus paused for a moment before continuing. "As most of you know from the notices placed around the school that we are here to talk about werewolves and to see an actual transformation. So I ask all of you please DO NOT carry on like prats when it does take place."

He eyed the students for a moment and he noticed the number of staff members that had arrived as well. Good. They could keep any students that gets out of hand under control.

"The term 'werewolf' is used for both the wolf-like creature and the normal human. A werewolf comes into being when a person is bitten by another werewolf. They technically do not exist except around the time of the full moon when they then turn into a dangerous creature but at any other time they are a normal human being. I want you all to REMEMBER that!" Marcus stressed that point to make sure the kids got it.

"A werewolf can be distinguished from a true wolf physically by several small distinguishing characteristics those being the pupils of the eyes, snout shape and tufted tail. Once a person had been transformed into a werewolf they lose all sense of themselves and will attack humans. But the condition can be managed by the wolsbane potion and Professor Kazimeriz will go into detail about that. Now are there any questions before we introduce you to our special guest?"

Brant kept quite while professor Lawson talked about werewolfs. and he whispered to Sarah "Yes, Im ok now that Im with you" and he just kept watching.

Sarah looked at Brant who was still resting on her shoulders and when she heard Professor Lawson ask if there were any questions she raised her hand and said. "Why are werewolfs bites dangerous?"

Alessia shuddered a moment. Was she really doing this? Breathe... just breathe. She looked at the headmaster... then to her godfather. Then she looked at the sky... they had time... but she was still nervous.

Pepe boldly reached over and took Less' hand.

Julie listened silently, she was barely breathing. Remarkable. A real werewolf. Breath shallow she listened for more.

William listened to professor Lawson speak about the characteristics of the werewolf. He had thought as much and wondered if he should take out his book and write things down. "Professor, is it true you can only be bitten by another werewolf? Can it be genetic?" He asked, putting his hand up and frowning slightly.

Kevin silently listened to what the professors were saying and was still rather nervous about whether or not they would be safe but he thought they would be which is why there was a cage

Kazimeriz shifted uncomfortably as he listened to Lawson. Truth was, no matter what the man had to say, his 'expertise' would be found at fault by the older man, and even he knew he was being unfair and biased as he inwardly scoffed at the man's 'facts'.

With him teaching DADA, Merlin help the future of wizardkind. he thought sourly as he listened.


Kazimeriz's eyes flicked over to Alessia and then descended onto her hand... and Reynard's over it. His eyebrows went up and he looked at them both in quiet contemplation.

Alessia and Reynard? What in Merlin's pants was the headmaster up to? Suddenly, Kazimeriz felt as though his mistrust had not extended far enough up the chair, and for the first time he felt true, deep concern. Something about this was just... wrong. He could feel it in his bones.

She looked at their hands, then looked at him and smiled. This was better.

Well Clifford was obviously distracted, that's... nothing new.

Oh and Iliana had sat down. Iliana was an extremely nice person. Cari was not used to women being nice to her. It was unfamiliar and unnerving.

She was about to greet her in kind, but Marcus called for quiet. So she merely nodded at her instead.

Herminny walked into the Great Hall for a Special Assembly she had seen on the notice board of her common room. As she entered the room she saw a cage in the middle of the room and wondered what that was all about as she took a seat on one of the benches and waited to see what was gonna happen.

Brant noticed that the headmaster and Professor Lupa were holding hands, or what seemed like they were and he looked at Sarah with a werid look as if he were saying "are they together" type of look?.

Anastasia was being very nice and quiet and well behaved, for once, on one of the back benches. Of COURSE she had to attend a special assembly - THE special assembly - just so she could gawk at how hideous Alessia Lupa looked today. Her robes looked like they had been tailored for a giantess and her hair was more stringy than a selkie's. And what was with her face? Not that it wasn't always cringe-worthy, but it seemed worse today... maybe it was just because she was standing so close to someone good-looking like the Headmaster.... yes, that was surely it.

Really though - she was the focus of the assembly? Bunny would have rather been learning about flobberworms. Then again, though, flobberworms weren't a bit exciting and she always did love danger.

The redhead folded one leg over the other and shot a few of those teacher-warning-glares while making professory shhhhhhhhhing noises at the nearby students....even if they were silent. Marcus had spoken. Now. WEREWOLF TIME.

"Well that would be because if they don't kill you first Sarah, their bites will turn in you into one of their own. I would say that's pretty dangerous wouldn't you?"


"Yes William, if you are bitten by a werewolf and not killed then you are infected also. Male werewolves can reproduce and yes it's a disease of the blood and is transmittable. Females however cannot procreate, because they cannot carry a child to term."

Any questions?! Evangeline felt herself nodding after Lawson had made that question. Indeed there were! Right now, she was asking herself if Stupefy was strong enough to stun a werewolf. Or if maybe the people that didnt wnat to be there could leave? Hm. She was a Prefect. She couldnt be scared.

Bummer.

Looking around trying to see where were the nearest exits, Evangeline found much more than that. Ack! Why was Clifford looking at her like that? She had .. she had told him to stay away. She was simply going to hurt him again if he got any closer, so he ought to stay away. Stay away and be happy with someone else as she licked her wounds.

With a sigh, she turned away from him and back to the professors. She needed to focus on that werewolf, or get bitten. No, thank you.

...what.

Real. Werewolf. INTERVIEW?!

Cam knew what the big cage was for now, pfft, it wasn't a prop, it was a place to keep the werewolf in its place! This was gonna be FUN and EXCITING, though what would happen actually if the werewolf destroyed the cage. Weren't they strong... being/things?! And the 1st and 2nd years had gotten the first row, so he was... quite excited... and scared at the saaame time. He tapped his fingers on the bench in a panick-ish type of way, staring at the bunch of professors.

Were was the werewolf though? He didn't see any werewolf in sight at all. Was it hiding somewhere? But YAY for information.

He quuuickly wrote down a feeew notes, "Dangerous in werewolf form... normal in... human form." Inteeeresssting. So... werewolves could make other people werewolves?

Couldn't you just call them hairy vampires in disguise?!

Fallon listened very carefully to what the Professors had to say about werewolves. She found them to be very interesting. Fallon loved gaining knowledge. She was always looking for something new to learn about. She waited for more interesting information.

Kel remained silent as Lawson told everyone about werewolves. He was feeling a bit better about the whole situation; the werewolf wouldn't be able to hurt anyone or do anything. Plus, Kel thought it would be kinda cool to see a 'wolf transform...and feel safe while you're watching it. So, he just sat up a bit straighter, waiting for the real exciting part.

She looked at him.. then looked away. Pout. Brow furrowing, Clifford turned back to the front of the hall where it all seemed to be happening. Up there seemed to be the place to be..

He was glad he was a seventh year.. these seats at the back were FAR better. Ayup.

And he had a question!

"Professor.. this is an interview with a werewolf, right?" He asked, hand raised high. He'd heard something like that.. "So... do they like... talk?" Or could he speak growly RAWR language. Uhm.

Antonio had slipped in quietly and unnoticed, which was fine. The strangest thing possible had happened, the castle was no longer flooded, everything all the way down to the dungeon level was now completely dry and most miraculous of all, his entire classroom and office were totally undamaged by the flood waters. The merfolk truly possessed a powerful magic, one he wished he knew more about.

And now, some of the professors were holding a general assembly about werewolves along with the Headmaster. Something had drawn him to come here and listen, even though he wasn't technically obligated to be here. Well, it was a subject one could always learn more about, that was for sure. It never hurt to become familiar with magical beings, one never knew when one might encounter one of them.

Antonio sat back and began to relax, taking in the subject of the meeting. It was just a relief that all the drama was over, and he was glad he didn't have to stand up and teach right now.

Lyra had been lost in her own thoughts and in the corner of her eye she saw Professor Lawson make his way towards the podium to talk about werewolves. She jumped up slightly when his voice shouted for silence and her thoughts shattered in her mind. 'ugh, must not zone off again' she told herself, wondering why she was always with her heads in the clouds when waiting.

Listening intently to what Lawson was saying she started to sit more upright when he spoke about the details of werewolves. 'this is interesting' she thought. 'and he knows quite a lot about were....wait..he's a Dada teacher, of course he is suppose to know!' she corrected herself and mentally slapped her forehead for being so simple. When he asked for questions Lyra raised her hand up as though they were in class. "uh... what is the best way to defend yourself against a werewolf attack"....... the first year asked and lowered her hand. "professor" she quickly added.

Marcus looked at the Head Boy and had to chuckle. He guessed this was as good as time as any to introduce their guest. "Why don't you ask her yourself Clifford?" He turned and looked at Professor Lupa. "Would you like to talk to the students now?"

"The best advice I can give is to get away from a werewolf as quickly as you can. If that is not possible then I would suggest probably the stunning spell is most likely your best defense."

Kevin shuddered a bit when he heard what Professor Lawson had told Sarah and remembered what his father had said to him and then Kevin remembered that he had almost been attacked by a werewolf when he was six and he was playing outside unsurpervised and had almost been a werewolf which was cool but it did never happen
