Headmaster Bontecou actually arrived for something early (he'd given himself a two hour head start) and he spent that early time setting up. First, he banished the tables to the sides of the hall and then he moved the benches so that they were all facing the raised dias. Then, he banished the staff table to the wall and set out some of the staff chairs along the side, leaving the middle open for the cage and podium. He figured the younger students would go in front with the older (and presumably taller) students in the rear with any other staff that wouldn't be directly involved with the assembly.
Once he was ready, he waited for the staff and students who were coming. They still had some time...

Fallon watched as Professor Lupa turned into a full wolf. She didn't like the look the students were receiving from the werewolf. Fallon had the idea that now was the time to leave the Great Hall. She just couldn't bring herself to do it.

Theo's eyes widened as he witnessed what was happening in front of him. He could feel his heart racing. He was absolutely terrified. His eyes went blurry, and suddenly he was falling backwards.

Lyra hadn't realized that she was holding her breath during the whole transformation and turned more paler than she normally was from the lack of oxygen. She let out a deep sigh and continued to stare at the wolf. It looked sad in that cage like that but her feelings of sadness faded away when the wolf gave a hungry look. Now starting to get really scared, Lyra had jumped up from the bench she was sitting on and had turned around to leave. But something was holding her back, a kind of force that she couldn't explain maybe it was curiousity? it must be, Lyra's biggest strenght and weakness is curiousity so she turned around again to face the wolf and sat down, making sure she had enough space to move her right arm to flick her wand out of her holster in case something happend and was ready to use it....she hoped.

The transformation from human being to werewolf was nothing Kiri ever wanted to look at again. Humans, she was familiar with (obviously), and the werewolf, even though it was almost unnaturally scary, was also a complete form. But the intermediate stages... they made Kiri sick to her stomach. Bones cracked loudly. The skin covering them moved in disconcerting ways. But Kiri couldn't help but stare. Thinking about Professor Lupa's face and mind which Kiri knew were suppressed somewhere behind the salivating wolf made the scene even more unreal.
And then there was Professor Kazimeriz. He was scary, too, even as a normal human, but the way he talked softly to the caged Professor Lupa was downright creepy, as if he were some sort of ringmaster in a macabre circus show.
The werewolf-Lupa howled at the ceiling, and Kiri, despite her fear, relaxed a little. At least the professor did not seem to be in pain anymore.

Professor Morgan was crying... why was she so far away? Jake wanted to pull the woman out of the room or leave this place as soon as possible but was terrified to call attention to himself now, especially after he was already standing on the chair.
Hopefully he'd be able to duck between the seventh years if they started filing people out.
This was relatively frightening... maybe it was supposed to happen. | |

"C'mon, let's go." he said quietly taking Fallon by the arm and walking out of the Great Hall. As much as he was enjoying the assembly he could tell Fallon wanted to leave.

Cyrus was probably one of the few students in the crowd that didn't have a horrified expression on his face. It was full of interest and awe. Sure, he felt bad for Lupa who was going through such pain. The first year DID have emotions, contrary to popular belief that he didn't. But, the fact that he was ACTUALLY seeing a werewolf transform was beyond cool.
"Wicked." He whispered to himself, his brown eyes bugged out of their sockets.

Lyra noticed in the corner of her eye that people were leaving, most of them first years. Well that was understandable and even Lyra had the urge to follow them but she just couldn't. Watching the werewolf with fascination she wondered how it must be to be a werewolf and transform every month. must be horrible she thought and shivered a bit at the thought

Satine was frozen with her mouth hanging open and tears running down her cheeks in shock. This could not be right...she thought in horror again but then she heard a Professor tell them to be strong for Professor Lupa and that's just what she did. She stood her ground unlike most of the other first years and stared into the cage determined to be a rock for the Professor.
She watched the Professor become an absolutely beautiful wolf and shivered from the howl and growl coming from the werewolf, but she looked around at the empty spots on the front bench and then at the Professors and knew that she was safe with them around...
Well she atleast hoped she was
but she was going to stand supportive for the Ancient Runes Professor that Satine was sooooo fond of and looked up to...

I don't like the look on that Werewolf's face.
Sarah sat frozen with fear as the now fully transformed Lupa stared back at them,almost as if she wanted to eat them.Of course she wanted to eat them! She was now werewolf,the potion hadn't worked properly for whatever reason,and her mind was no longer her own.This was SCARY!
Gulping several times,Sarah finally looked round to see that alot of the first years were leaving,not able to take what they were seeing.She very nearly felt like doing the same,but for some reason she still sat,transfixed,by the creature in the cage.Almost willing it to transform back into the Professor that she knew,the one she liked.
Must remember she is still a person. | |

William was frozen to his seat, his eyes wide as he watched the transformation. It was something he wished he'd never see again. Gulping he scooted back in his seat, his eyes never leaving the wolf now in the cage, looking rather hungry. He was scared; more scared than he'd ever been in his life. More scared than when he'd faced the merpeople just a few days ago.
Gulping a tear slipped down his cheek and he soon found himself crying; not from fear though, but from sympathy and something else. All he wanted to do was run but he couldn't. his legs were glued to the floor and his blue eyes were dark. He sure hoped the cage was sound, as he wiped the tears from his face not able to stop them.

She'd been listening carefully to what her professors had to say, as she'd always held a special interest for things of this sort. She narrowed her eyes, studying the front area of the room quite carefully, as she watched Professor Lupa step into a cage. Anna sort of swallowed...or, more like gulped...as the transformation started taking place.
She jumped back a bit as she listened to the wolf's loud cries. Anna dug her fingernails into the bench she was sitting on and tightly closed her eyes. It was really uncomfortable to listen to the cries, as the professor...er, well, the wolf...seemed to be in so much pain. A moment later, the creature grew quiet, and Anna watched with her breath held. What was happening? Was she even okay? The headmaster would surely so something if she wasn't, right?
Anna jumped when the creature's loud howl broke through the silence. Anna's eyes flickered from professor...to professor...to professor... They'd alert the student's if there was any danger, right? Besides, this was Professor Lupa. She'd never hurt a student...right?

The wolf stalked the cage back and forth, back and forth salivating hungrily at the mouth. Finally she bent back on her hind legs and lunged against the cage which burst open easily... had it not been put together correctly? had it had been sabotaged?
She fell in front of the students and lunged again... the small ones would be great appetizers...

The headmaster watched the transformation with great interest, though he'd seen it before one other time so that he wouldn't be surprised and to make sure it would be safe in front of the students. He could immediately tell that something was wrong because it was different than what he'd seen that other night last month. He stood ready at the side of the cage and when it failed, he flung himself into Less' path, wand drawn. His heart was pounding and he couldn't spare a thought for why the cage had burst apart like that. She was too quick and he was unwilling to hurt her so instead of gaining control over Lupa, she was on top of him. His glasses fell off first thing, though it didn't really matter this close up. His only goal at this point was to keep her distracted long enough for the other professors to get her under control before she could injure any students. He was responsible for their safety and he knew she'd never recover if she injured one of them.

Watching in interest as Lupa, or the werewolf, stalked the cage. He was thrown into a moment of shock as she broke through her cell. WEREWOLF ON THE LOOSE! Cy let out a bit of a yell and jumped to his feet.
The headmaster was being tackled, Truebridge was guarding the other little girl that was sitting just to the left.
Acting on impulse, as Cyrus usually did, he whistled loudly hopefully grabbing the werewolves attention away from the Headmaster. Waving his hands dramatically at her. He then proceeded to dive under one of the benches.
HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE EATEN. Yet, his hiding place was FAR from fool-proof.

Caroline gasped.
No no.
This was not what was supposed to happen at all.
Well she didn't know what was supposed to happen, but she was pretty sure this was NOT it.
Caroline looked at Iliana, a look that clearly said, Excuse me I have to go do casualty control, want to come with?
After which she leapt from the bench and sprinted to the front where her boss and colleague were having... A disagreement. Though under normal circumstances Caroline would figure Bontecou would have a slight advantage, she wasn't counting on it right at this moment.
"Everyone, get BACK!!" Caroline barked, running up the front, "To the BACK!"
Sedate her? Oh right... Not with a Potion Caroline with your wand!
"Stupefy!" she yelled, casting a stunner at her friend.
Normally she would stop to consider how weird that was.
Not right now though.

Just then nurse Avalon sprinted up to the front screaming for them to get back. That snapped him out of his fright and he jumped over the bench, nearly tripping over his bag leaving it behind as he climbed over benches hurrying for the back. he was shaking uncontrollably, hiccuping as he stopped behind the last bench, a hitch in his side.
Yes, far away.

The wolf looked up at being hit by spells, her mouth covered the headmaster's blood. And she growled... but she wasn't finished with this one... She took a stance over the headmaster and growled at Ethan and the nurse. Ropes came flying towards her and she dodged them just in time to miss them.
She moved from Pepe's unconscious body, looking at who sent the ropes...
