“You will get double presents though … just not double parties. Sorry. I’m not that social. I can do presents. I can do a date. But I can’t do presents a date and a party … not unless you are going to be hostess of the party. I could probably get some butterbeer into the common room though, if you wanted to do the party thing that is.” Wes offered. He knew that for Ev’s birthday he’d never get away with a less than magical party.

When she blew him a kiss Wes smiled in a manner that he hoped would be seen as bashful, and even went so far as to lift his fingers daintily to his lips -- as if he were delightfully embarrassed by her action. His face didn’t flush in the least, however.

“Maybe you should shake it up and wear the old shoes!” Wes suggested excitedly. At her suggestion that they stir up drama Wes lifted a bite of steak to his lips, and looked around the room, then shrugged. “I dunno we could involve the underclassmen or something … I’m a bit out of ideas though.” He confessed lamely. What ridiculousness was that? Pester the first years?

Narrowing her eyes, Evolette dipped her head to get a better look at his face. She could practically sense the gears in his mind racing. Did he really think she had a shoe addiction? GASP. "Don't worry." she said lightly, "Daddy's money pays for my shoes, which means my trust fund is still in tact."

She smirked.

"Which also means, when you and I get married, we can live off of my massive fortune, and not have to get jobs." Grin.

Ah. Evolette knew everything that he had just said was completely and totally true. Wesley was NOT good at throwing parties. "Ummmm.." she paused, wrinkling her nose delicately as she pondered, "Okay, sweep me off of my feet Wes." Heck, it was about time someone swept her off of her feet.

However, at his suggestion of wearing old shoes, she gasped, rather loudly, and clamped her hand over her mouth. "Take that back right know." she squeaked, grabbing the table to keep her balance. She was going to hyperventilate... if needed.

Honestly, he was a bit miffed about the fact that even Evolotte got a trust fund. His parents had money but none of it would be his so long as they were alive. He got his needs met. He never went without … but he was far from spoiled. He never got handouts. His parents expected him to work for everything.

“Evs you’re my dream girl!” He informed her in an ‘I’m so in love’ tone of voice. Too bad that will never happen though, He reminded himself more seriously. Nothing would make him happier than to find a way to live without working. But it was necessary. He knew it was … he just didn’t like it. Not one bit. Mom and dad should just cave and give you a few thousand, he thought seriously, then sighed. It wasn’t happening. Might as well start sending out resume’s. Yikes!

“I’ll do what you want for the party you’re gonna plan … just don’t expect creative genius. Just a willing lackey.” He explained in response to her consent. It wasn’t terribly difficult to get her on board with the sweeping plan. It had been hers, after all. Part of him was a bit worried that he’d suck at it though. Whatever. It wasn’t like she expected anything. They were friends. It would be fun. It would be about her. She wasn’t expecting a declaration of love. She was expecting one perfect night.

When Evee began to panic Wes simply stared at her, and continued to slowly devour his mashed potatoes. He didn’t say anything for several minutes. “It was just a suggestion you know.” He pointed out innocently. “I mean, old shoes are good. OH! Didn’t you wear a pare of bright pink pumps once?” Back in your first year perhaps? He suggested in mock excitement. OK. By this point Wes just wanted to see how riled up he could get her.

Wrinkling her nose, Evolette delicately placed her hands on the table. "Sweetie, McKenna's don't plan their own parties." she told him, an air of superiority in her tone. Then she was back to her normal self, well, normal as she could be. "Besides, I don't need a party when I'm already getting to perfect date for my birthday." she added, winking at him. Yup. He'd better make it perfect for her. Afterall, she deserved nothing less.

"Bright pink?" she asked, arching an eyebrow. "Please, I am NOT Professor BunBury." As if. Evolette would never wear hot pink shoes. However, there was no doubt in her mind that Bunbury would. She eyed him suspiciously, "I know what you're doing." she warned, "You're trying to mess with me." Honestly, did he think she wouldn't catch on?

Angelica entered the great hall and glared at the hufflepuff table, she then turned to the slytherin table and took a seat. Just because she had be placed in THAT house doesnt mean she had to sit there. She then thought about what she wanted to eat and it appeared on the table.

Teeth gritted Angelica replied "Because i AM a Slytherin" Trying to sound as matter of factly as possible, "The sorting hat was wrong!" A small snarl escaped her as she said this last part.

Ruby heard Angelica gritt her teeth and speak to her as if she was anything but a Malfoy "erm.....Angelica" she said her name with a certain harshness "the sorting hat is never wrong," she ignored her snarl and gave her a slight smirk as she puffed out her badge on her robes her bright red eyes sparkling

'fooooood!' Lyra yelled in her head while entering the great hall and sat down at the Slytherin table. She immediatly grabbed some pancakes and a goblet of pumpkin juice and started eating while looking around at the table to see if there was someone she knew. Not finding anyone she shrugged her shoulders a bit and continued eating.

"I belong right here!" Angel snapped not calming. Ruby listened to Angelica America eh she thought untill Angelica had asked about her parents "my mother Narcissa has revoked the old ways but my father Edward Sawyer is a recovering Death eater he was instructed by his father to carry on, it wasn't untill he met my mother that he decided to renounce his ways in exchange for her hand in marraige" thinking to herself incase she is wondering about the Malfoy's

Angelica made sure it looked like she was listening even though she was only half paying attention nodding when Ruby was explaining about her parents and smiling when she said her dad gave up the old way for her mother. Then came the question she was not expecting to ask but it kind of just came out "What about the famous Draco Malfoy" She gave a slight blush hoping that the girl wouldnt notice she continued "I mean he was this great person in his time wasnt he?" Trying her best to skip over the blush.

Rubys final question made Angalica think, of course she didnt condone the way things were done back then but at the same time back then it truely ment something to be a pure blood, not wanting to take much more time to think and to not seem hesitant she simply replied with a nod "Most aspects of it yes. U?" Of course it was obvious what Rubys family members thought about the old times but what about Ruby herself

Ruby smiled and replied "i was brought up around Scorpious Malfoy and he wanted to change the ways people thought about the Malfoy's he decided to continue Draco's work after the final battle Draco decided to change his ways and views although it took many years for people to believe the Malfoy's were changing," she paused for a moment and continued "i myself have no problem's with muggleborn's and i don't have a problem mixing with other student's from different house's my boyfriend was a hufflepuff....." she took a sip from her goblet as she regained her coolness bringing up John now was not a good idea "but i suppose some of the aspects were better i agree"

Angelica saw the look on Rubys face when she mentioned her hufflepuff boyfriend and decided not to push that subject "So you are like a moden day Slytherin then" she gave a small smirk then went on "What are Scorpious and the other decendents of the great Draco up to these days?"

A grown escaped before Angelica spoke "Aw that sucks, I dont even know if any of my belongings are ruined. You see our common room and dorms are also locked down because of a flood, the only problem is we havent been re located yet so havent had a chance to check my things" She thought for a moment "I wish we had been put in with you guys i would of felt so at home then" This conversation had reminded her about the depressing fact that she was in fact a Hufflepuff and not the Slytherin she should be.
