| | Slytherin House Table
Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well. Every Paranoid Slytherin
Every house you diss
Every bludger you miss
Every word you hiss
Every doom you meet
They're watching you
Every wand-tip you lit
Every gambling trick
Every prefect you kiss
Every power fit
They're watching you
Oh don't you know
Snakes slither alone
They will look for you
For every chaos that issues
Every lie you speak
Every nervous tick
Every mental kick
Every evil mist
They're watching you
They are watching you
They'll be watching you
Slytherin watches you
I'll be watching you.
& Alone
Have you ever felt alone in the world,
like you just don't belong.
Like everywhere you turn,
you do something wrong.
You zig instead of zag,
you're yin instead of yang,
you step instead of leap.
It's always one step forward,
and two steps back.
You wonder why they hate you,
or stab you in the back,
or turn away so easily.
They look away when you're in pain,
and laugh when you fall.
They tease you because you're different,
because they are all the same.
They hate the way you think,
and laugh at your ideas.
Know you're not alone.
They're the same as you,
unique in many ways,
but hide it from society.
Never speaking their mind,
hiding their emotions.
Have you ever felt alone in the world?
Know you're never alone. |

"I'll... go... walk... look for Diane," she muttered to Cam before she walked over to the door of the Great Hall and almost bumping into it as she hadn't looked up. Dru didn't so much as flinch, she just carried on her solomn little way. Cam frowned when all he got as a response was a no. But she probably got out, he was sure of it. If she didn't theeeen... happy thoughts, Cam. Happy thoughts. But at least she was finally climbing out of the table which was a greaaat relief. O M G. Kazi--heee?! He was the deputy headmaster?! Unbelieeeevable. But he payed more attention to the flooding and all. Soo... all he had to do was just wait here. That was boooooring. Kiri listened to Professor Kazimeriz's speech wide-eyed. Deputy Headmaster? Where was Professor Bontecou? Where would the Slytherins sleep? And she had forgotten all about her things down in the dormitory... Her clothes. Her books! She'd deposited about half of them in the Library a few days earlier to study, so at least she still had them, but what was she about to do about the rest? Not to mention her notes, potion ingredients, star charts...
Reaction to the speech of the old professor was immediate. The Great Hall filled with a low, excited buzz as each student turned to his or her neighbour and began to discuss this development. Likewise, Kiri turned to Raiden who had appeared again out of nowhere. "What do you think happened to the Headmaster? Where do you think they'll put us? Our common room is gone. And I think I lost a lot of books and things..." she said gloomily.

She might've cared if she wasn't thinking about other things. She didn't really want to have to just stay in the Great Hall, and all. But it wasn't like there was anything else she could do.
Natasha glanced around, and saw the boy she had spoken to in History of Magic. It was.... Erm... Cam! That was it! "Hey," she said to him. Her voice sounded really tired. She really hadn't slept well for what felt like aaaaaages. It probably wasn't, though.

Oh, but here came who - she hoped - knew more stuff! YAY! Fully aware the looked all slimy and steamy - since she still had steam coming out of her ears because of the pepperup potion - Evangeline stood up from the bench and made her way to her Head of House. "Professor? Hi!" She greeted nervously, affected, as always, by the Professor's presence. "Hmm. Some students want answers, Sir. What happened, what shall happen to our belongings, where will we sleep, should we order new textbooks ... things like that." Actually, she was pretty sure the textbooks part was only on her mind. "I presume you haven't got the answers to those questions now, but as soon as you have them .. maybe you could talk to either me or Prefect Carden and we'll gladly reassure the Slytherins." The nervous and steamy Prefect told him while nodding her head. "But most of us need to rest, Sir.." Not her, though. Nope. She was a Prefect and she'd stay up as long as it was necessary. She just needed a cup of coffee. "Mainly the little ones. The first years, I mean.." Ack, little ones didnt sound nice at all. "Is it possible to conjure some sleeping bags or something for them?" |

Yet....people are wearing green robes, and Slytherin badges, but these could not be Slytherin. Slytherins would not be so immature, would they?" He gave them all a cold eye and stern look. Glancing around, Anna noticed that the Slytherin Head of House, Professor Forrester, had approached. She listened as Evangeline spoke to him, concerned as they all were with the current happenings. Evangeline asked many of the same questions Anna wondered about. Where would the students sleep? What would they do as far as obtaining new textbooks and new school uniforms? Suddenly, Anna felt very appreciative of the everyday objects she'd always taken for granted.
"Professor Forrester, I'm willing to help in any way I can, too," she volunteered. "Please let me know if there's anything I can do." Regardless of the fact that she was a Gryffindor, Anna still felt for the members of Slytherin house, who'd surely lost every bit of their belongings. She started to say something else to her professor, when a booming voice echoed throughout the Great Hall. Quote:

A professor will come by to collect these items from you." Remove shoes, socks, and outer robes? Of course they needed to do that. It only made sense to rid themselves of as much flood-affected clothing as possible. Without wasting another second, Anna knelt down and removed her shoes and socks. Eww...they were so dirty, damaged, and destroyed. She knew losing one pair of socks and a pair of shoes was nothing compared to what some of the others had lost, though. When she was done, she stood and removed her outer robes. They were just as dirty, damaged, and destroyed as her shoes and socks were. All of it would have to be replaced.
That done, Anna began walking the length of the Slytherin table, addressing everyone, groups at a time. "Alright, everyone. Make sure you do just as the professor asked. Remove shoes, socks, and outer robes," she said, making sure every student was aware of the announcement. "Keep them nearby, so that a professor can come along shortly and collect them from you." When she was sure everyone was aware of what to do, she turned from the Slytherin table and headed to the other three tables.

She suddenly remembered their her homework. She didn't want to seem like a geek but she wanted to do them with someone. Especially considering she had some trouble with casting "evanesco." Not as frightening though, as the old bloke inviting him for tea. Shudder. We'll be getting some replacement robes, even if it's just work robes from Herbology." He looked around, satisfied that at least SOME of them had been listening to Kazi, "Alright, shoes, socks, outer robes all OFF," he repeated the earlier command to insure complete compliance, "Now, then, until we get a chance to stop the flooding and lower it back down, you lot are sleeping in the observatory. Bed rolls and such will be set up shortly, we're going to send off for replacement books and emergency clothes for everyone. Once we get everyone settled in, the nurse will stop by to check in on everyone. The water should be fine, but we're going to take all the precautions we can think of, okay?" He looked around the table.

Feeling Clifford at her side, Evangeline looked up and offered him a small smile, knowing that all her tiredness was visible on her expression. Oh, how she wished to simply sit on one of the common room's comfy armchairs, letting the warmth of the fire heat her up.
But the armchairs were ruined, and the fire was out because of all the water.
Once more, Kazimeriz got her attention and she turned to listen to what the deputy Headmaster had to say. Whaaaat? Now they had to strip down?! Hmpf! Nodding at Clifford's words, Evangeline gave her head a shake to shake away the sleepiness and turned back to her own table. "Attention everyone!" She called over the whispers and voices with a clap. "You heard the Professor. Socks, Shoes and outer robes out. Put them in a pile next to you and wait for someone to collect them. Thank you." She told her fellow students, before leadin Clifford back to the table and starting to unbutton her robes and to unlace her shoes. "I dont like being sockless!" She whined. Boohooo. She was about to complain some more, but then Professor Forrester came back and she simply nodded at his words.
Well, at least they had a place to sleep in. |

Kiri blinked. They were supposed to take off their clothes now? But she'd just had hers dried by Raiden... Was there something wrong with the water as well now? The teachers looked deadly serious (not that she thought Professor Kazimeriz had ever made a joke in his life), but well... take off her robes? In the Great Hall, in front of her classmates and the professors?
On either side of her, students were complying with the order. With a heavy sigh, Kiri bent over and fiddled with her shoelaces, then pulled off her shoes and socks. The stony floor of the Great Hall instantly made her feet cold. Feeling distinctly weird, Kiri then struggled out of her robes, leaving her with a clammy shirt. And a skirt. She bunched her robes together and grouped them with the shoes and the socks, waiting for a teacher or prefect to come and collect everything.
Coldness was creeping up her feet now. Kiri lifted up her legs and wrapped her arms around them. Her chin came to rest on her knees.

| ♥Dunkin | Pixie's Precious Pea | kpop goddess | sneaky sounder | forever slytherin♥ Raiden shrugged at Kiri's questions. The headmaster could be anywhere, and as to where they were sleeping... oh, well Professor Forrester had just answered that one, at least. Biting his bottom lip, he listened to Professor Kazimeriz's last order and looked down at himself. Robes, socks, shoes... but... his toes were probably all wrinkly and icky from the water.
Oh well.
"I don't know, Kiri," he said quietly, pulling off his shoes quickly. They were old trainers, but he liked them. Most of the writing that Shana had done last term was gone now, and they were falling apart right good, but... He hoped he'd get them back eventually. He shoved his wet socks into them, noted that his toes were in fact wrinkly, and then pulled off his robes. Wrapping his robes around his shoes and socks, he formed a little bundle out of them and left them on the floor, finally tending to his own damp clothing. "Tergeo... Tergeo..."
Roscoe finally made his way back over to him, and headbutted Kiri very firmly in the side, demanding pets. Raiden glanced at the cat as his long tail batted him in the side and smiled.
"He doesn't want you to worry. And he wants you to pet him. But more so the first than the second." Staring at his toes very intently, he didn't even realize the oddity of what his arms were doing until it had already been done. He absently reached over, gently put one arm around Kiri's shoulder, and pulled her into an awkward hug. "Don't looked so scared, okay? They'll sort it all out."
Oh wait. Hadn't he just learned a lesson about unsolicited hugging?!
But... it was Kiri, and not Professor Kazimeriz... so she wouldn't get mad, would she? At least... she couldn't take points... |

Listening to the directions that were given, Ott starts removing his robes, socks and shoes. This is going to be a cold walk up the stairs... he thinks to himself.

Natasha began taking off her shoes and socks, and then her robes. Once they were off and together on the ground, she wrapped her arms around herself, in an attempt to stop herself from her slight shivers. She mainly just wanted to go to sleep, even if it had to be in the Astronomy tower rather then the common room.

Natasha glanced around, and saw the boy she had spoken to in History of Magic. It was.... Erm... Cam! That was it! "Hey," she said to him. Her voice sounded really tired. She really hadn't slept well for what felt like aaaaaages. It probably wasn't, though. Cam was actually starting to get tired. Without chocolate... without candy... he couldn't even get hyper anymore. That was the sad part about the flood. Aaaaand also his books and clothes and all. He had suddenly remembered a library book that was in the dormitories. Oops? Was he going to get in trouble for killing a library book? Well he didn't kill it, the water did. Hmm. Maybe that librarian would understand.
Hearing someone call at his direction, he turned and saw a familiar girl. He remembered her from History of Magic. "Heeeeeeeey," he said and then realized from her voice that she was tired too, "Tired? Me too."
Then everyone started telling them to take off their clothes. HUH?! But... Cam didn't like being exposed. Even if it were his socks, his feet would be exposed. And without his robes, he was going to feel even much much colder. Already dry, he found taking off his clothes was a reaaallly bad idea and he didn't understand why everyone had to. Were they going to use their clothes as sponges to clean up the dungeons?
Ughhhhh.
He did it anyways. Socks... what if someone though his feet were smelly? His toes were all pruuuune and he guessed everybody's toes were pruny and all. And then his outerclothing, he took off his outer robes and then sighed. He put the bunch next to him and waited for someone to come and pick it up.

"Heeeeeeeey," he said and then realized from her voice that she was tired too, "Tired? Me too." Natasha nodded to Cam. "Yeah, really tired. And now we've got to walk all the way up to the Astronomy Tower." Siigh. It was such a long way to walk, and it would probably be really cold. Natasha had gone back to having her arms folded across her chest now, as she glanced around every so often. Hopefully it wouldn't be toooooo cold in the Astronomy tower. She really needed a good sleep.
Why did this have to be in the Slytherin common room, of all places? Now Natasha had practically nothing. Nearly all of her things had been ruined. And the few things that hadn't been ruined wouldn't last long.

Staring at his toes very intently, he didn't even realize the oddity of what his arms were doing until it had already been done. But... it was Kiri, and not Professor Kazimeriz... so she wouldn't get mad, would she? At least... she couldn't take points... Kiri nearly fell off the bench when she felt something bump her side, but it turned out just to be the cat Raiden had clung to earlier. So it, or he rather, was Raiden's after all. Kiri let her legs slide down to the ground again. Her arms now free, she gave the cat a few hesitant, distracted pats on the head. A glance at the table convinced her that Sol was still there and out of reach of the cat's eyes and, more importantly, paws. He was bumbling about behind a large candlestick, squeaking to himself quietly.
She'd just turned around again to stroke the cat's fur again when...
Kiri was aware of being pulled slightly sideways, and then Raiden was hugging her. The world started spinning rapidly. Familiar hot and cold showers criss-crossed her body. He was hugging her! The cat, pinned in-between them now, meowed in protest, but the sounds seemed to be very far off, sort of muffled. The skin of her shoulder where Raiden was holding her tingled like... Well, nothing in her repertoire of experiences could compare.
With a small sigh, Kiri wrapped one of her arms around Raiden's back and returned the hug, clinging to him tightly, her mouth and nose pressed against his shirt. "I'm okay," she mumbled indistinctly into the cloth. "It's just a bit much at once." The flooded dungeons, her lost possessions, the drenched robes... Kiri's fingers dug into Raiden's robes as she held on to him.

Lettie took off her socks and shoes, just in case. She hadn't been near the water, but close enough...her outer robes too had gotten wet from her cat when he pounced on her outside. Leticia folded them nicely and set them down next to her.
Ornlu was now sleeping on the table, but was picked up by Lettie and was wrapped in his master's arms and blanket again to keep warm and dry.
The girl sighed and looked around, everyone looked so tired. And what would her parents say when they found out?
Laying her head down on the table, Leticia stroked her cat and glanced up to the enchanted ceiling...wondering.

Kiri's fingers dug into Raiden's robes as she held on to him.
This was an odd situation. While his girl allergies were making his stomach do little flips and squirms, he wasn't actually uncomfortable. He actually felt a lot better than he had about ten minutes ago. He patted Kiri's shoulder and leaned his head against hers, sighing as Roscoe wiggled out from between them and curled up on his lap with a reproachful miaow. It was really a good thing that Kiri hadn't gotten upset over being hugged. He'd reached his limit of people being upset with him for hugging already, and wasn't sure if he could take it again.
"I know... But you never know, they might be able to fix it," he said brightly. People were feeling really down and shell-shocked at the moment, but you always had to stay positive, he reminded himself. Staying positive made everything feel better, even if it wasn't actually... "I'm sure there's some way of making it better... Books and stuff can be dried and things can be fixed, especially with magic."
Sure, he wasn't as confident as he sounded. But if he sounded sad and worried like everyone else, then Kiri would never feel better. And he didn't like when she was sad or scared or upset or any of those things. It made him feel sad and scared and upset and all that too. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: *whistle* | NeeNee Omniscient Omnipotent Pie Maker Cari marched back down from the dias. It seemed to her that she was running around more than everyone else. But then, they were about to go get the water out of the Dungeons, and she WOULD NOT be doing that.
No. Way.
She cast a nice hearty Sonorous Charm on herself, "OKAY! Your Friendly, Tired, No Nonsense Nurse Here.
"Any students who haven't yet taken Pepperup Potion, Do It NOW. You are all present and accounted for and have been given your dosages, there is no excuse for not taking it. Anyone who feels ill in anyway, see a Professor Kapoor or Madam Kohan, who will be remaining in the Great Hall, and you will be sent to the Hospital Wing Waiting Room. THAT is where I will be returning to, with the Head Boy and Girl (surprise Clifford and Anna) and the Prefects who wish to help, to deal with this situation from this point onward."
Removing the charm from herself, Cari collected her things, still none too sure about where her shoes went, found Clifford and Anna, "You too are going to have to follow me. Evangeline is welcome to come too. Do you drink coffee?" she asked ominously.
Not waiting for an answer, she hustled out of the Hall to ready the Hospital Wing for what might be a busy night.
