"Oh that's great!" Sydney said excitedly. "What about the classes?& are the teachers nice? I am very worried about it." She said nodding her head slightly. "Have you ever gotten detention?" She asked curiously.


"Nice to meet you Grace!" Sydney said with a smile. "First Year?" Sydney blurted out, what a stupid thing to say she thought.

Kevin smiled at Sydney and said "The professors are amazing and the classes are good and no i have never got detention before"

Sydney blushed slightly feeling that she asked Kevin a lot of questions.."I am so sorry, you must be feeling annoyed by my questions.." She said lowering her head. She fiddled with her fingers for while, "I am just curious, you see I don't want to lose any points for Slytherin." She said.

Kevin nodded and said "Yeah just one piece of advice Sydney never be late for class because on the odd occasion students have points taken away for being late"

Dru was still looking around to see where the item had flown in from when she heard an unfamiliar voice address her. She stopped twirling to look at the boy in front of her. Well, she would have stopped if she wasn't dizzy. She staggered slightly in a small circle before managing to balance herself.

"I'm alright," she announced, as a response to the question and to hide her embarrassment at almost falling over. She looked at the boy and mentally added his face to the montage of people who were nice in the school.

Lyra watched as Sydney placed the pink colored bean in her mouth "aww it taste good? i was hoping you had a disgusting one too" she said laughing. She followed Sydney to the fire and sat down on a chair. "oh! i know a spell!" Lyra said and grabbed her wand. "its called Accio, i read about it in my Charms book at the feast, it summons things to you!" she said. Lyra pointed at a bean still lying in the corner and said "Accio!" but nothing happened. Lyra cursed something under her breath and tried again "accio!" she said and pointed her wand at the bean, it moved only slightly but it was suppose to fly in to your arms. Sighing, Lyra looked at Sydney , "you try now"

PHEEEEWWW. So he wasn't sure if the girl had gotten brain damage from a chocolate wrapper but at least he wasn't going to get in trouble or anything. Maybe he should have told her... yeah... he should have, in about 5 years from now yeah. Honesty wasn't his priority in life or anything so yay. But still, he had to do something. Anything really because he felt guilty on the inside. It's not like girls just get hit by a flicked chocolate wrapper everyday, right?

"Sooooo uhhhhhm... Cam," he started, "OH WAIT. I think I dooooo know who threw that at you... It's um... It's a guy named uh, Hilloy Dumbah! He's this weird dude but... I scared him off so he's never gonna come to this school ever again!"

There. That should have ended on who did it. Wasn't he such a genius. "Soooo, what's your name?"

Well, Luke's reaction could have been expected. Nancy really should have, but since she had somehow still hoped that he would just put his feet onto the floor, where they belonged, and make room for her. Yes, of course, it now seemed quite foolish to hope for that to happen. Even though, she'd just only met that boy the smug smile on his face definitely was an indicator. Now, since Nancy really wasn't in the mood to fight with a boy she hardly knew so she settled with just glaring at him while she said sarcastically, "Oh, well, as long as you're happy." With that said she swiftly turned on her heels and headed towards the stairs which lead to the Girl's Dormitory. Talk about dramatic exits...

luke smiled said with a cheeky grin "Yeah im good..howabout lunch tomorrow then?" luke said with a sort of "what are you up to stare" kicking off his shoes he pulled off his socks.

Dru raised one eyebrow questionly at the boy. She didn't believe a word of what he had said. "You didn't chase anyone away!" She accused the boy. "You're not much taller than me, and I'm little!"

She stood with her hands on her hips, standing as tall as she could. "And I'm not telling you my name until you tell me exactly where the boy went," she told him firmly.

Nancy stopped dead in her tracks right at the beginning of the stairs leading up to the Girl's Dormitory upon hearing Luke's next words. What the-?! The annoyance on her face completely vanished and was replaced with utter surprise. Had he just seriously asked her to have lunch with him tomorrow?! No, she had to be mistaken. With that same look still plastered across her face Nancy half-turned back to give Luke a confused look as she exclaimed, "What?!" He couldn't be serious now, could he?!

Roland entered the Slytherin common room pushing back his floppy brown hair. He had missed this place a lot. His eyes rested on the emblem of Slytherin over the fireplace he saluted it with two of his fingers with a smile on his face.
Even though he came from a magical background his mother and father had refused to let him use his wand over the holidays. They weren't strict but their liberal opinions didn't stretch too far. Roland put his hand in the inside pocket of his robes and withdrew his wand and pointed it at one of the wooden chairs at a desk in the corner. At once the chair changed into a load of moths which flew at him, he waved his wand again and it changed in to sand which fell to the floor. Another sweep of his wand and it changed back to a chair again. It felt great to do some complex magic after all this time.
He walked over to one of the arm chairs and put his legs out in front of him relaxing. Listening to the slightly echo of wind up the corridors had a soothing quality to it. He then noticed some sort of arguement going on between another two students. They had began squabbling already. He laughed slightly to himself.

luke sat up and looked at her more serouis
"Yeah, you, me, lunch together tomorrow" he said smiling and winking at her then a little chuckle flew out of his mouth.
flicking his finger a gren flames travelled up his arm and onto the end of his finger and he grow into a dark green rose and threw it over ot her with a wink. he lay back down.

Brandon threw himself into a chair, busy reading The Daily Prophet.He liked keeping up with the days news, a trait he'd inherited from his father. He sighed and quickly turned to the Quidditch section at the back.

Gasp.

This girl--she didn't believe in him anymore and she figured out that all of his words were liesssss! Well not all because she still thought that someone else threw it at her. Hehe. Giiiirls these days. "I diiiid chase him--," he started to argue but she had a point. Cam couldn't really chase anyone away. Scare them away, he could do, but chase them away? Noooope. His petite size was just too petite.

And then she went off to saying she wasn't telling him her name. He didn't really care but well he was curious to know what the name of the girl that he flicked a chocolate wrapper at. "He um... he went that way!" He pointed to the direction of the girls' dormitory. ...Wait no. "I mean he went that way!" He pointed his finger now to the fireplace.

...this wasn't doing so good. "I meaaaaaaaaaaaaan... he jumped out of the window!" He looked around. Whooops, no window either.

Dru giggled slightly as the boy in front of her was telling story after story. "Did he just vanish into the air?" she teased in a friendly manner. She smiled widely at the boy, she didn't care if he was telling her lies, he made her laugh.

"I'm Dru," she told him. "And I still think you're a liar liar pants on fire!"

Roland noticed another guy sit down in a chair. He wondered whether to disturb him as he read the paper or not. He decided to take a shot at it anyway.
"Hi" he said pleasantly raising a hand in acknowledgement. "Who's winning the league?" he asked. He usually kept up with the latest quidditch news himself but the last couple of weeks had kept him very busy. O.W.L was likely to be no different.

Nancy just stared at him with her mouth slightly hanging open trying to comprehend what exactly it was that was going on at the moment. All the smiling and winking Luke was doing were creating somekind of barrier inside her head which made it almost impossible for her to think straight. Nancy's blue eyes darted through the Common Room in an attempt to find something or somebody to help her explain the situation to her, without any success, though.

Furrowing her brow slightly Nancy turned her full attention back to Luke and just in time since the next thing she knew was that a dark-green rose came flying her way. Her hands flew out and caught the rose with a startled expression flashing across her face but there was also a wee bit of amusement on it as a small smile crept onto her lips. "You're serious about this, aren't you?" She asked, even though she already knew the answer, shaking her head in slight disbelief.

Steven smiled at the first year and nodded. "You're right, not every one is nice." He said and nodded. He grinned a little as she looked up at him, and he remembered just how tall he was... Whoops. He was away to ask her if she needed anything else before he went back to his girl-friends, but he was distracted as he saw Nancy hoovering beside her favourite sofa. Bizarre.

Want to know what was even more bizarre? Flything paper-things, hitting first years in the head. He looked up, and noticed a small boy trying to whistle. He raised his eyebrow, as he came over all concerned. Just as he was away to say something, Dru stuck up for herself, which only made him grin more. Seemed like she could handle herself perfectly.

That made him smile, although it faded a little as he saw that Nancy was talking to one of the older Slytherin's... and she looked shocked. That was never good. He frowned a little as she turned to walk towards the dorms - then stopped looking even more shocked. He gulped a little, suddenly immensly protective of his best friend and he raised an eyebrow as the older boy spoke to her and invited her to lunch!

When the heck did that happen?

He frowned more, as he threw her a green rose, and silently he wondered if the boy was good enough for his best friend. He gently moved away from Dru and the boy who had called himself Cam. He moved over to where Paris was sitting, although he wasn't sure if it was so that he could ignore the need to protect Nancy or because he needed to make sure that she was okay. Especially since the whole fiasco on the train with that guy... Whose name he didn't know.

sighing he hung his head over the arm of the chair
"look do you want to go tomorrow or not. cus i was thinking about going to play some qudditch?, unless you wanted to join me" he said laughing again.

The fact of a girl playing Quidditch with him was almost laughable. But hey there a first time for everything
"and yeah im serouis. totally up to you though"

"Well, it's sure not the Cannon's anyway,"Brandon said with a snort, throwing the paper down in disgust at how bad yet again his favourite team were fairing."Who do you support?"he asked the boy.

Kobie looked up and saw a girl looking at her.
"Hey, I'm Kobie, nice to meet you" she smiled.

"Tutshill Tornados" replied Roland. "Yeah, the chudley Cannons could do with giving more training to their beaters. Last season I think they knocked each other out. Then again our seeker needs his eyesight testing". He thought about the recent match.
"I think you're in my year, 5th isn't it? What's your name by the way" Roland asked leaning forward and extending his hand.

Brandon mentally shook himself when he remembered the Cannon's last season."Yeah, I'm in your year, 5th year. Brandon Black,"he said, shaking his hand.

A rather cheeky smile tugging at the corner of her lips Nancy narrowed her eyes slightly at Luke trying to see the flaw in his invitation. There seemed to be nothing wrong with it though. Hmm... A grin flashed across her face at his mentioning Quidditch but the fact that he was apparently amused by the thought of her joining him for playing Quidditch made her frown. "Oi. What's so funny? It's not the thought of me playing Quidditch with you, is it?" She asked her eyes growing colder with every word she said telling him I'll hex you if that's what you were laughing about.
