Kevin limped into the common room and smiled he was glad to be back at the place he called home and hoped that his uncles would never annoy him again and he took a seat in the corner of the common room

Kobie entered the room and sat down in one of the big chairs. She looked around and took in her surroundings. She opened the book she had brought down and began reading it.

Sydney came downstairs to the common room with a pack of Bertie Bott's every flavor beans. She sat on a big comfy chair near the fire place. Glancing around & chewing a few beans, she spotted a boy & a girl sitting. "Hi, I am Sydney!" She said to both of them.

Walking into the common room with Paris, Nancy and Corwyn, Steven noticed the younger girl that had been sitting with them at the feast. He felt quite bad now, considering his temper was back to normal and he realised he hadn't even said hi to the girl.

Motioning to the girls that he was going to go and say hi, he smiled at her. "Hi. Sorry about Dinner, I wasn't in the best of moods." He told her with a smile. "I'm Steven. How do you like Hogwarts so far?" He could tell from the look on her face that she had either just transfered into Hogwarts, or was a first year.

April came in to the common room and looked around. So this was what it was like... she liked it. With a small smile she found herself an empty seat and looked around at the people who were also in the common room, wondering how many of these she'd know by the end of the year. And yet again, as had been happening so often today, her mind wandered towards Alex. She could almost see him sat in the chair opposite her, smiling at her... shaking her head slightly she tried to force thoughts of him out of his brain. It wasn't good to be thinking of him... deciding to go and see what the dorms were like she got out of her seat headed up to the girls dormitories.

Lyra walked inside the common room and saw a huge banner saying "attendo thea vipera" Lyra frowned , "owkee," she muttered a little "what in the name of merlin's beard does that mean?" she whispered to herself and decided that she was going to find out the next day ,maybe at the library. Lyra looked around, it was a very nice common room , apart from the slimy things she thought. She walked over to a black chair and sat on it, listening to the people talking to each other.

Sydney looked around and saw Lyra sitting on a nearby chair. "Hey her! Here have some beans" She said tossing the packet towards Lyra. Instead of landing on Lyra's lap, the packet dropped to the ground. All the little colorful beans scattered around the common room. "Oh no!" Sydney said slapping her forehead, she silently rose from the chair, hoping no one saw this. She wasn't ready for trouble now at least not so soon.

Now it was Nancy's turn to look slightly annoyed as she entered the Common Room along with Steven, Paris and Corwyn. Why was it just impossible to catch Steven alone? She really wanted to know what that whole scene with the Gryffindor boy back at the Start-of-Term feast had been about. Okay, she could have expected to not be heading back to the Common Room without the others but still, she had somehow hoped that they would. She really wanted to interrogate Steven about that Gryffindor. Hmpf...

Oh, great, now he even left their side to talk to that little girl from the feast. What was her name again? Anyways, Nancy frowned at Paris and Corwyn as she quickly began to stride over to one of the comfy chairs near the fireplace but stopped half-way. What was she going to do there anyway? She certainly wasn't tired enough to be heading to sleep either, though. Glancing back at the door they'd just entered through Nancy bit her lip slightly considering the option to just take another quick stroll around the castle before heading to the dormitory. Yes, that would be nice, it certainly would take her mind off the thing with that Gryffindor boy.

Half-heartedly Nancy gestured towards the door as she walked past Steven to let him know that she was going to leave the Common Room again. The possibility of him noticing wasn't exactly high, though.

Lyra looked around to see Sydney sitting in a nearby chair. "hey!" she said back and waved, next second she saw her throwing some beans and falling on the floor "thanks!" she said laughing "i always wanted common room floor flavour!" and she bent down to help Sydney pick up the beans.

Sydney chuckled at Lyra's comment & bent down to grab the beans. "I bet they'll taste yummy" she said clutching as many beans as she could. "Try this one" Sydney offered an interesting looking light Grey colored bean.

Lyra accepted the bean from her and looked at it curiously "oh well i never know what flavour it is when i don't try" and with that she put it in her mouth and immediately spit it out in her hand "yuck!" she said disgusted "black pepper! i don't like black pepper" Lyra stuck out her tongue and brushed with her finger on it attempting to rub it off. She then gave Sydney a pink with white spots bean. "here try this one"

Grace entered the room, and stopped at the entrance. This was fascinating! They were probably way down under the lake and everything. It was better than his dad's description. She realised she was blocking the entrance so she took a couple of steps in. It was amazing, fascinating, awes-she stopped, her touch sense felt something. The wetness that was always there in the UK. The wetness she hated. The only thing which was bad was the wetness on the air, she thought. She decided and tried not to care and walked towards Lyra and the girl she hadn't met yet. She smiled and said "Hi." to both of them. She couldn't see Iris and Aaron, they'd probably gone to dormitories already.

Kevin smiled at Sydney and said "Nice to meet you Sydney, I am Kevin and i am just starting my second year"

laying down on the long sofa Luke Stretched out his leg across the sofa deliberately just to be annoying so that nobody could sit down

Okay, that had just been a really stupid idea to leave the Common Room to go for a stroll. Nancy hadn't even got any further than the Dungeon Corridor before turning right around since first, she was way too lazy to take take unnecessary walks and second, she didn't want to go alone. So, now she was back and still quite annoyed with everything. Or everybody. Meh... But what to do now?

With a quick glance at Steven she made sure that he was still talking to that girl from the feast before Nancy slowly strolled towards the long sofa near the fireplace. Upon arriving there, though, she found that it was already occupied by none other than the boy she'd briefly talked to just a few minutes ago at feast. Now, he still was in her way and with the annoyance pretty obvious in her voice Nancy said with a frown, "Oi, Luke. Would you mind placing your feet somewhere else? Like the floor for example, just like normal people do." Okay, she really wasn't in a very good mood tonight.

"Black pepper? that's yuck!" Sydney said laughing. She took the pink white spotted bean from Lyra.."Alright here I go....*munch* It's *munch* not bad..Thankfully!" She said sighing with relief. "However, I don't know what flavor it was...weird but in a good way" She said chuckling. She took the beans which Lyra collected and stuffed them inside the packet. "Lyra lets sit by the fire & hmmm" She thought for a moment "Try some more spells?" Sydney suggested. "Or if you want to sleep then it's absolutely okay with me, I am quite tired too" She said rubbing her eyes.

Sydney looked up from the ground and saw a girl leaning over Lyra & her. Sydney flashed her best smile, "Hey there!" She said. She got to her feet and stuck her hand out to the girl "I am Sydney Carrington"

Sydney brushed a strand of her hair and smiled at Kevin "Pleasure meeting you too Kevin" She said sticking her hand out to him. "Second year? Cool! So you must know a lot about Hogwarts then?" She said politely.

Lettie looked to Ott as he sat down, smiling slightly and still scratching Ornlu behind his ear. After letting Ott sit down for a little while, Leticia spoke up. "Do you think we should head up to the hospital wing soon? Before it gets too late? I don't want to let things go for too long with this thing." She held up her purple hand and flexed her fingers.

Kevin smiled at Sydney and said "Yeah i do now a bit about Hogwarts and i should be able to help you find your way about the castle"

Grace shook her hand and said "And I'm Grace Lesley Kettlewell." She smiled back.

Dru was lost in her own mind, wondering exactly how much scrubbing and man-power would be needed to clean this place properly, or indeed if it was possible, when she heard a voice from the side of her. Dru jumped a little, but managed to avoid screaming like she did when she was scared on the train, and turned to see where the voice had come from.

Dru looked up at the taller older boy (Dru looked upwards a lot) and said a quick "Hi," back. This boy appeared nice, he was saying sorry to her and to Dru's mind, nasty people don't say sorry.

"I'm Dru," she told him. "And Hogwarts is very big and some people arn't nice."

While she may not have won an award for the best speech in the world, Dru was very please at herself for managing to talk to a new person without falling over her own words.

A bond first year student appeared in the common room, a little late than everyone else and once most of them were settled. She had blackened hands and her robes were displaying a layer of dust. She was panting. She didn't stop to look around more than it would take her to realize the girls' dorms were upstairs, and headed towards them.

Thus she was gone upstairs without a word to other students, looking for all that is worth a mix between busy and a bit more than a little troubled...

Was it him or was the Slytherin Common Room waaaay more packed than before? Oh the Sorting Hat was some sort of a miracle this term which meant more friends this year! No wait, maybe even enemies... But no one was his enemy except for some certain people so all was well. Nibbling on his chocolate again, he set down his lemurs on the couch because he knew that sitting on a person's shoulder and that person was eating chocolate was probably torture for them, right? Mosi and Nakato started playing with each other and he started eating bigger chunks of chocolate.

He stared at everyone in the room that were talking and all, and well, how come nobody talked to him?! It was like, simply impossible. Simply, simple impossible. After finishing with his chocolate, he crumpled up the wrapper into a small ball and held it up with two fingers.

Flick.

Cam had flicked his own chocolate wrapper at a random direction and well he wasn't sure if it would hit anyone. He had the worst luck. And it wasn't his fault anyways! He had some instinct to flick sometimes. Yeah... it was all instinct.

Luke Smiled at her a yawned as he stretched his arms then looked at her
"ermm..im going to have to say......Nope, im quite happy the way i am thank you" he said crossed his legs over "Theres a perfectly good arm chair over there" luke said pointing behind him

Dru was in the middle of talking to the boy that identified himself as Steven when she felt something hit the side of her head. "Ow!" she exclaimed and rubbed the side of her head where it had hit.

She glanced round, going in a big, dizzy circle, to try and work out the direction of the... item that had just hit her.

Cam started to whistle--well he couldn't whistle--but he tried to make the best whistling sound which sadly sounded pathetic. He wasn't sure if he hit someone with the wrapper or not but when he heard someone say "Ow!" a second later, he was in troooouble. How was he suppose to know his godly instincts could have hurt someone? As he continued to pretend-whistle, he glanced around to see who he hit. A girl. HUZZAH! That was good... and baaaad at the same time. Bleh.

It was time for his acting skills. Surely she couldn't possibly know where it came from. Because he was just fast lyke that. Walking towards her, he put on the most surprised expression he could ever do.

"OMG. Are you OK? Oh... I didn't see who did that, but still, are you OK?" Hopefully she would believe in him.
