Slytherin Common Room

You walk along the dungeon corridor to a blank expanse of wall. You approach a seemingly random patch of wall and mutter the password. An open doorway appears and you step into the Slytherin Common Room.

Once inside, you see a banner with the house motto, "Attendo thea Vipera". Just below the banner is the notice board. You look around a bit more and spy the doors which lead to the boys' and girls' dormitories, a large stone fireplace, and an assortment of comfortable-looking, leather, chairs. However, the floor is a bit wet, the drapes are damp, and there's a chill in the air that doesn't seem to go away.

Aaron was first in line with his friends when the prefect explained how to get into the common room. Aaron was going to try to remember the password, but he doubted he would. But when the door opened to the common room, Aaron was in awe.

It was a little colder than the rest of the castle because it was under the lake in the dungeons, but it was great. Tinted green just like his parents said. And it was one big room, too. With a big fireplace and large sofas and... AGH! It was too good too be true. The only thing he could say was,

"Awesome."

Iris walked in after Aaron, and even though she was tired, her eyes couldn't help but light up at the sight of the common room - it was so classy and sophisticated looking... it also looked really magical with the green lighting from the lake. It was, just how she was hoping it would. "wow, it's amazing." she said, looking to Aaron, "just think, this is practically going to be our home for the next seven years."

Aaron couldn't say anything. Iris' words barely made it into Aaron's brain. He came out of his trance. "What? Yeah," He said looking around again. "It's amazing..." Aaron remembered he was really tired and wanted to go to sleep. He turned back to Iris.

"Well, I'm exhausted. I'm going to sleep." He turned to her and smiled and exhausted smile. "I'll see you tomorrow." He gave her a hug and then said, "and the next day, and the next day, and the next day." he then turned and went off to where the prefect said to go to the boy's dorm.

"yeah, I'm going to claim a bed in the Girls dorms too," she said, looking over to the girls dorms and was rather suprised when Aaron hugged her, then replied, " yeah I'll see you tomorrow Aaron, night!" she called as she entered the girls dorms.

Lettie walked into the common room, her large Maine Coon cat was following right along. The girl's hazel green eyes glanced around at everything in the room, "Interesting." She said to nobody in particular and walked slowly around the room, taking everything in. Leticia looked at her hand, it was still badly swollen, but she couldn't resist visiting the common room before heading off to the hospital wing.

She sat down in a large armchair by the fireplace and sighed, Ornlu soon jumped up and rested on his girl's lap, purring loudly and waiting to be pampered.

Lucy entered the common room glad that the feast was over. After being here for 5 years, Lucy was pretty bored with the begginning of the year and just wanted to jump into school. She walked over the couch and sat down, taking a book out to read. She felt someone sit down next to her, and lowered the book. "Oh hi Lettie! Your hand feel better?"

Natasha walked into the Slytherin common room with a smile, looking around at the familiar surroundings. She spotted the girl she had briefly talked to at the Slytheirn table, and walked over to her with a smile. "Hey, do you like it?" She asked her with a grin.

"Huh? Oh, sort of." Lettie said as she held her hand out of the way of her cat, who continued to insist that Leticia scratch him on his head. "I thought I'd come and get a look at the common room first, before heading up to the hospital wing. I couldn't resist."
"Oh yes, very much." Leticia said as Ornlu looked around at the new faces, swishing his long tail from side to side. "How long have you been coming to school here? It must be so nice being able to stay here the entire term."

"I'll come along if you'd like." Lucy sugested smiling. "So what do think of the common room? Were under the lake you know." Lucy said poiniting up towards the ceiling where the lake bed lay. "I couldn't believe it when I found out, until the ceiling started to leak in spring one time."

Lettie's eyes widened and she looked up towards the ceiling. "Really? I wondered why it looked different down here...". She trailed off as she imagined all the hundreds and thousands of gallons of water that must have been pressing down on the ceiling right that very moment. Wait...what if the ceiling caved in?! What if it leaked so much that they all drowned?!
No, there was probably a spell that prevented that from happening.
"It's alright, but I already have someone escorting me to the hospital wing. Ott is going to lead me up there in a while. Thank you for offering though." Leticia smiled politely to the girl. "I think the common room is wonderful, it's not at all what I expected."

"Only a year," Natasha said smiling at Lettie. "That's why I'm so glad to be back." She said. She really loved Hogwarts so much, there was so much places to go, things to explore and things to do.

"Still, it's one year longer than what I've spent here." Leticia said with a grin before continuing on as she scratched her cat behind his ear. "Just so I know, what professors would you recommend that I stay away from? Or at least behave extra good around? I don't wanna get in trouble after all."

"Thats true," Natasha said nodding. She paused for a moment while she thought about her question. "Well, there's Professor Bunbury." Nat said with a smile. "If you're on her good side it's fine, but if not, well she can be kind of mean." Natasha said, it probably wasn't the best way to describe the teacher, but it was good enough.

Mystic fallowed Aaron and Iris into the Slytherin common room. I was as her father remembered it. She thought it was rather cool.

She was rather tired and told her two friends goodnight and headed to the girls dorm.

Lucy laughed at Lettie's shook. It reminded her about her first year at Hogwarts and how she too was surprised to know that there was a lake above them all. "Yup. That's why it's so greenish down here. But it fits in seeing as our colors are green and silver." Lucy sighed and looked around, she was just extremely happy to be back at school.

"Bunbury." Lettie repeated, knowing that it would help her remember the name better, "Okay, I'll just do my best to behave and stay out of her way." She sighed and stared into the fireplace, "You all are so lucky to go to school here. I mean, I haven't had much luck yet, but it seems like a lovely place."
"The green works for me." Leticia said happily, "My favorite color is green, you'd know that if you ever saw my wardrobe. Half of my clothes are green or have green on them." She smiled to herself and could feel her eyes droop. 'No! Not yet! No sleep!' Lettie clapped her hands together a couple of times very quickly to keep herself awake. But with the added warmth of the cat on her lap, and the comfortable chair, and the fireplace...that wan't going to be easy.

"Yeah, there's probably a few others that I can't think of off the top of my head." Natasha said shrugging, she had heard there were a few new teachers, too. "What happened?" Natasha asked slightly surprised as Lettie said she hadn't had much luck yet.

"Well," Lettie said, "I kinda had my hand broke by this Hufflepuff guy, I'm sure you know that already." After the big scene in the Great Hall, it was had not to have noticed...what with Lettie's screaming and all.
"And then I kinda got this Willie kid hyped up on sugar, and he kinda went crazy. So then he got in trouble by one of the professors, though he didn't seem to mind much." She shrugged, "I never knew that kids could get that mental because of a little sugar from pudding." Leticia tried to think of something else that had happened, but her mind had gone blank from exhaustion. "That's all I can remember right now, aside from having my hand injured in Ollivander's as well."

Question; why the heck wasn't he getting hyper at all these days? Or so he thought this his hyperness had gone away... Immediately he nibbled on a chocolate bar he was holding with one hand and pet the two lemurs on his should with the other. Mosi and Nakato weren't allowed to have chocolate or so Twitchy Girl said. Cam felt sorry for them. It was just too sad that he was almost tearing up. They couldn't taste the heavenly taste of chocolate which was totally a human need--well for him. Without chocolate, he would die!

...Well not really but he could go into some weird freaky coma! Chocolate was a blessing from mother nature herself. He couldn't waste it. Walking into the Slytherin Common Room for the first time in months, he sniffed the Slythie air and sat down while continuously nibbling on his chocolate.

"Oh, well that's pretty bad." Natasha said with a friendly smile at Lettie. "I'm sure the rest of your time at Hogwarts will be good." She said. After all, it was Hogwarts.

"I think you better head upstairs. You need to rest up for the first day of school!" Lucy said getting up and yawning. She too was tired, and need her rest. "See you later Lettie." She said climbing the staircase.

Amanda headed into the common room with a smug grin on her crimson lips, ah it felt good to be home again. Back in the Slytherin Common Room where she belonged, unfortunately she had to deal with the sad excuse for a Slytherin here but other than that, things couldn't be better.

Walking into the common room, Ott looks around amazed. Wow! he murmurs to himself. Looking around a bit more, he spots Lettie, and heads over to her, and sits in the armchair next to hers.

Listening to them talk, he smiles and checks out the room some more, relaxing deep in the chair. I could get used to this.

Thinking about what happened at the feast, he wishes he had been able to find Willie. Hopefully I'll see him tomorrow, when we're exploring the grounds...
