It wasn't doing much for him. She didn't want to waste anymore time. She HAD to move and make her way down the stairs to Professor Lawson's office and prayed he was in there. She slumped him back on her shoulders and sorta 'dragged' him because he was soooo tall!!!!

"It's fine, Cela,"she was running as fast as she could.

Kevin wandered down from the astronomy tower and felt very tired he hardly slept a wink and it wasn't cause of his leg this time cause that was fixed so he had no idea why he didnt sleep

"Come to me son. Christian come to me. We have so much evil to do together you and I. Leave the girl and join me....." The voice repeated over and over as Christian began to stumble. He had to hold on to something or he was going to fall.

Jane HAD to piggyback him now. Not knowing if that was even possible. She tried, but he was too heavy.

"Christian!!Christian!!Nooooo!!Come back!Come back to me, love!!"tears streamed down her left cheek. She hugged his waist and tried to push him to walk from behind.

Christian felt himself being pushed. She was holing tight to him. The voice kept pounding in his head. He wanted to put his hands to his head and scream.

His simple kiss warmed her down to her toes and for a moment it felt good. But she couldn't hold on to that feeling. She squeezed his hand. "We can just walk the corridors," she said softly and they walked out of the room.

She didn't know where to start or even how to start. She didn't want to say what she as going to say. Hell she didn't want to feel what she felt. "Steven what is it that you feel for me?" she asked him softly.

Steven nodded, and smiled as they walked into the cool corridor. He was almost positive that he could hear the rain on the roof, and smiled a little as it reminded him of home. As they set off in the direction of the corridor's, he silently wondered what was going to happen. He didn't have a good feeling about the conversation that was aw-

Ouch.

He gulped and looked down at Paris, his hand slipping out of her hand and around her shoulders with a sigh. "You're my girlfriend Paris, I love you." He said with a smile. He wasn't sure where this was going, so he thought it was better to play it safe with what he said.

He didn't want to hurt her... Ever. She was one of his best friends and he didn't want to go through the rest of the year without her. Really, he didn't want anythign to change. "Baby, what is it?" He asked her, his fingers moving gently over her shoulder.

She certainly hadn't expected him to say that. She was speechless. She didn't know what to say. Did she love him? How could she when her thoughts were always invaded by Cope? "Steven do you really love me honestly. Or are you saying that because you think thats what I want to hear?" She asked him softly. As he touched her shoulder she suddenly wanted to be close to him and she leaned against him and buried her face in his robes. If she started to cry she didn't want him to see her cry.

Steven looked staight ahead of them, suddenly very confused. And he hated being confused. Am I really in love with Paris? He wondered. They had been going out for almost two full months, and he knew that he liked her and didn't want to be without her... but he also knew that love was a big thing. He frowned as he remembered that his Damsel-in-Distress was Nancy and not Paris.

He gulped and looked down at her. "I don't know." He said, in a quiet strangled voice. It wasn't like him; but he never questioned his thoughts and feelings if he thought they were true. Not until someone made him question them at least. "What do you feel Paris? Why are you asking?"

Her heart strutted in her chest as she heard the strain in his voice. She didn't want to hurt him. That was the last thing she would ever want to do. She did like Steven. She never lied about that fact. She couldn't look him in the eye, if she did she would star crying. "Steven I don't know if what I am feeling for you is love or not. I want to be with you and I've had such a good time being with you." she said softly as she slid her arms around his waist. She took a deep breath. "I have feelings for someone else too." she added so softly she hoped he didn't hear her, but she wanted to be honest with him.

Silently, as he listened to his girlfriend (would she still be when she pulled away from him?) talking to him, his arms slipped around her in a protective coccoon. The last thing he wanted was for her to start crying. "It's okay Baby." He said, as his hand flitted up to play with her hair a little. "It's hard to know what is love and what isn'tat fourteen." He said with a soft smile on his lips, before he kissed her forehead again.

He looked down at the Slytherin Quidditch Captain and smiled. "I would love to say that you were mine, Paris. However, I will not hold you back from who ever it is that has your attention." Nudging her face up to look at him, he smiled and winked at her playfully. "If we are meant to be, you won't be able to resist my charm." He laughed at how bigheaded he sounded. Everyone knew that wasn't really him... not really.

She felt warm in his embrace and she almost lost herself in his long arms and they wrapped around her tiny body. She sighed as he said it would be ok and then he stroked her hair. She hated what she was doing, but she hated more what she had been thinking. She closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead. It was something so sweet and gentle. She had often seen her father kiss her mother like that and now she was starting to understand why it made her mother weak in the knees. "I am yours Steven, and I do think about you all the time." she whispered. "I just..think about him too." she admitted.

She had tears in her eyes as he lifted up her face to look him in the eye. "I couldn't resist you." she said as she smiled a little through her tears. "Do you hate me?" she asked him with a tiny voice. She would hate it if he hated her. She wouldn't be able to take it.

Steven smiled softly as she signed and melted into his embrace. He loved the feel of her small body against his, but he wouldn't do anything to make her unhappy. Anything. He smiled and kissed her forehead again. "Then, I am content. I have the Slytherin Quidditch Captain, calling herself mine..." He said, making a very bad joke. He wasn't the best in situations like this, and he simply didn't want to get into it enough to feel it.

He knew that he would feel it later, when he wasn't kissing her goodnight, but for now he needed to stay strong. "You can think about him. Whoever he is, needs to realise what a wonderful thing he is missing by not trying to gain your affections." He said, blinking a few times to stop his tear ducts from watering. He wouldn't cry. He wouldn't.

He smiled softly, and pulled the girl into a tight hug. "I will always be here for you Baby." He told her, his arms around her waist holding her tight in a protective grasp. "If anyone messes with you, I will be there for you." He looked down at her and shook his head fast. "I could never hate you. I don't think I have a single bone in my body that could hate you." He told her again, as he lent in and placed a soft, fleeting kiss over her lips. "I just want you to be happy Baby."

Christian sat down in a corner in the Corridor. The last time he'd been in this area really, Jane had had to physically drag him to see professor Lawson.

She felt his heart beating in her ear and it was lulling her almost to sleep. It was just a soft thump, thump, thump. "I will always be yours Steven." he was the first guy that she had had strong feelings for and she knew she would never forget him.

She nodded at his words and the tears did roll down her face. He was being so sweet and understanding right now she was feeling so horrible breaking up with him. "I feel like crude," she said sniffing. "You've been nothing but wonderful to me and I'm thinking about another guy." the tears were coming faster and she dropped her head to the look at her feet. "I'm sorry Steven. Will you forgive me?" she asked

She hugged him back as he lifted her off her feet and hugged her. "I just couldn't stand it if you hated me." She considered Steven one of her best friends, certainly after the term she had last year. She loved it when he called her baby. He didn't even realize it when he did it, but she loved it. "If anyone messes with you they will incur my wrath," she promised. And her wrath was a sight to behold. She went weak in his arms at the softest kiss he had even given her. She didn't want to move and she didn't want to walk away from him. "As long as you are in my life I will be happy." she told him. And it was true. She couldn't live without him.

Anna climbed out the Gryffindor Common Room's portrait hole and headed out into the seventh floor corridor. Sometimes during the evenings, when the corridors weren't so busy and full of life, Anna liked to stroll around various parts of the castle and take in all its wonders and beauty. When Cale was still in school, he'd usually join her, and they'd end up completing their nightly prefect patrols together. It was really duing times like this when she missed him the most. Sighing softly, Anna put one foot in front of the other and began her walk.

A short time later, she happened upon a boy she'd really never met before. She knew he was a Gryffindor, but she'd never actually had a chance to meet him. She came to a suddent halt right in front of him and glanced down at him with a smile. "Hey there. Enjoying some peace and quiet, too, I take it?" she asked.

Christian had been lost in his own thoughts. When he heard a voice speak, looked up and smiled. "Yeah, sometimes it's nice just to sit and think. It's not often I get to just be. I have too many voices in my head." He smiled up at her. "You're the head girl right? You're in my house I think." Christian said softly.

Anna once again smiled when the boy, who appeared to have been lost in his thoughts, glanced up at her. "It is nice, isn't it?" she asked, not really expecting an answer to that question. It'd just more or less been an observation of sorts anyway. "My boyfriend and I used to take evening strolls around the castle. We'd do our prefect duties together," she said, glancing off down the corridors, deep in thought. "He doesn't go to school here anymore, though." She nodded when she asked if she was the Head Girl. That was pretty much the first question she got from everyone she encountered. "That's be me, and yes, I'm a Gryffindor...a seventh year, as a matter of fact. Graduation...eek!"

Cor walked out of the Astronomy Tower and stretched her arms over her head and grinned, she rather enjoyed being in the tower, the work out from running up and down the stairs felt great.

Spotting Paris and Steven walking down the corridor she ran to catch up to them, "Hey lovebirds, how ya doing?" she said with a smile.

Steven smiled, and hugged her once more and used his free hand, well the thumb, to wipe away her tears. “Don't cry Baby, you deserve to be happy.” He told her with a smile. He gasped and made her look at him again. “Baby-love, you have been amazing. Don't think you are awful. I realised earlier today that I wasn't being fair to you when I was mucking around with Nancy...” He sighed a little and looked at her. “Nothing happened, I wouldn't of ever hurt you- but it wasn't fair either way.”

“There is nothing to forgive you for Paris.” He smiled at her and grinned a little. “We had an awesome two months, and I know have a Bodyguard in the form of my Quidditch Captain and Love.” He smiled at her, and ran his thumb over her cheeks again as he kissed her forehead one final time before they were interupted by a gorgeous American accent – he was allowed to think that now... Right?

Steven glanced down at Paris and smiled, his arm resting on her shoulders. “Actually... We're not together any more.” He said softly, as he winked at Paris. “Isn't that right Baby?” He said, trying to act as if everything was normal. He needed to... he knew he wouldn't manage to last through Paris crying again.

"I'm Christian MacLeod, your name's Anna right?" He asked, running a hand through his black hair. "I wouldn't mind a walk if you don't mind having the company." He smiled. "I've been meaning to ask you, someone told me you knew my cousins Monica and Excelsior Black. Could you tell me about them?"

She sniffed. "You deserve to be happy to too Steven." She didn't want him to think that she was being selfish and only thinking of herself in this. She knew there was something between Steven and Nancy, but she was glad to hear that he didn't act on those feelings, and she didn't either. "Maybe we were just supposed to have this time so we could become the best friends we both needed." She told him softly. She wasn't upset that he was thinking about Nancy when he was holding her. any other guy and Paris would have whipped a stinging hex on him so tough his mother would have felt it, but with Steven she didn't mind.

She nodded. "Yeah we did," she whispered thinking of their dance at the Black and White ball. She had felt like Cinderella in his arms. "And I have a bodyguard in my love was well." she smiled at him as he wiped at her tears. She closed her eyes as he kissed her one last time. She knew it would be the last time and she wanted it to last, but all good things had to end.

Didn't they?

She heard footsteps and she pulled away from Steven and gave him a big smile. It didn't hurt so much now, she wanted to tell him. But it didn't need to be said.

She was glad they were able to get past the breakup. She didn't know what to expect. Well it still hurt a little bit and it would for a few days, but it didn't hurt as much as she though it would. "Yeah he is just too much man for me to handle," she teased looking at Corwyn.

Jane, in her pajamas, stumbled out into the corridors. She didn't exactly know where she was going. She had been sleeping for awhile, but her thoughts woke her up. She had wondered where indeed Christian's fatherstalker was right at that moment. She had to look for him. Find out what his problem was.Why did he cause Christian so much pain by penetrating his thoughts. Where was he?Who was he? What IS he?!?Jane walked past Anna and Christian, not noticing them, even though they were two very obvious blobs of people...with no faces!! Dangling from her right fist was this. She was inches away from a pillar, which she might run into and wake up.

"Yeah, it is," she said, surprised that for the second time today someone had known her name, yet she hadn't known their's. She really needed to get out more. "It's cool to meet you, Christian." She nodded when he asked for a walk. It would be nice to not walk around the castle completely alone for once. "You know, I could use some company. I had a bit of a rough time which a second year earlier, and I'm sort of still down about that. He's a friend of mine, you see. Anyway, let's go," she said, motioning for him to stand and follow her down the corridor. "Actually, Excelsior was a student here only during my first year, so I'm not too sure I know him quite well. He actually seemed to be nice and respectful to everyone around him, though," she said, talking as she walked. "As for Monica, she was a student here during my first few terms, so I know her a little better. She was always nice to me, but she always seemed a bit upset about something going on with her family. She never really said what that was."

Christian Stepped up and grabbed Jane by the hand, she seemed to be sleepwalking and hadn't noticed him.

"I think I might be able to shed some light on that. My birth father is Romulus Black. He's a pretty big time death eater and is always causing some kind of trouble. Last summer he kidnapped my mom and my aunt all for his boss. And because he was looking for me. He found me when my adoptive parents transferred me here. That's why people see me a lot with professor Dumont. My Uncle is protecting me." He whispered.
