"Welcome," Plymouth grinned. He hesitated just a second before stepping out. He was dressed in the coat that Copernicus had gotten him for Christmas - with matching bow tie. He was SO SURE that Daphne would be into the pin stripes - all red. Plymouth reached and adjusted his bow tie on the way over to greet Daphne.

His eyes scanned her, head to toe. CUTE. CUTE. And CUTE. Plymouth touched the little flower on her head first. "I LIKE that, Daphadil." Then he reached and lightly brushed one of the flowers on her dress. "Hehe. And THESE. I like these."

Okay, so Plymouth liked it ALL. He offered her his hand, wanting to give her a twirl so he could see the whole thing. Girls liked that (or the one girlfriend he'd ever had had..).

Daphne was smiling. Plymouth was always so sweet, it couldn't be helped. She'd only frown at Garret who was constantly trying to get her all riled up. Plymouth, though, always meant well. He was pretty and--

Wearing a horrible, horrible, horrible red and white pinstripe blazer with a most unfashionable bow tie.

Daphne's smile faltered.

"Plymouth!" she squeaked, tense smile glued to her face. "You look--err..." except she was saved from having to comment by Plymouth's action. When his hand neared her thigh, she swatted it away, clearing her throat sternly. "Look but don't touch." That's something Mother always said. Daphne cringed. When had she turned into her Mother? Horrible.

But it couldn't be worse than that bowtie on Morgan's neck. "This is...interesting," she commented reaching out to fix his crooked bow tie. "Where did you get it?"

"Sorry," Plymouth grinned. He totally wasn't though. He LIKED the little blue flowers, so why COULDN'T he touch them? Ah well. That was just Daphne. And Plymouth liked her just that way.

Plymouth stooped down so she could reach his bow tie better. "Copernicus. For Christmas. He got me the jacket, too. And... a few hats. I thought a hat with the bow tie would be too much." But maybe for their next date? Assuming... well, no, Plymouth would NOT assume that.

He put his hands behind his back, so that he'd behave, and let Daphne work on his bow tie. Plymouth made cutesy faces at her since he was stooped down to her level and he just couldn't HELP himself.

Daphne looked up from his tie long enough to catch his weird funny faces. Sigh. That Plymouth Morgan was never going to change. "A hat would have definitely been over kill," she admitted truthfully releasing Morgan's bow tie and shaking her head at Copernicus Kettleburn. Trust that boy to...dress up her date like a Casino Boy.

At least he liked to dress up, right? Bright side. Bright side. "Where are we going?" Smart. Change the subject, Hopton.

Plymouth did a little twirl around until he was on her left side. He liked his right arm best, so he wanted to offer that one to her. Made sense, at least, to him. "Well... first... hehe .... just stick with me, Daphadil. And don't worry your pretty little head one bit. I have it ALL planned out."

ooc: Plymouth is taking her here.

follow me; everything is all right.

And earpiercing screech filled the corridor. It was coming from the submerged great hall.

She was bored. Natasha looked around the seventh floor corridor. What to do? Where to go? She was about to go on the search for someone she knew, when she heard an earpiercing screech. What the? She jumped, looking around.

"Where did that come from?" She asked in a worried, confused voice, looking around at anyone else on the Seventh floor.

Not only was there all the flooding, which was bad enough as is, but now there was screeches coming from who knew where? Or, better yet, from who knew what?

"I don't know," Aislynn said startled. "It sounded like it was coming from the Great Hall. Maybe we should check it out?"

Natasha looked at the girl who had spoken, frowning. "Yeah, we should. But the closest we'll safely be able to get is the second floor corridor, isn't it? Think we should go there?" She asked the girl. She seemed quite a few years older then her, and she didn't seem to know what was going on, either.

"I am game if you are." Aislynn shrugged. Why not? It couldn't be anything dangerous. "Perhaps someone is hurt. Maybe they need help?" She looked at the girl. "Let's go!" And she was off in a hurry to the second floor corridor.

"Yeah, sure." Natasha agreed. It really couldn't be anything too bad, could it? She sort of hoped it was someone hurt, rather than something else, because hurt people could be healed rather easily. But she would be fine investigating, anyway. Her curiosity was much strong then anything else. That was why she hurried after the girl to the second floor.

His fingers practically wrenching themselves out of their sockets, Jake squeezed himself through a small gap that could be seen beneath a plynth for a suit of armour. He had just crawled through the floor... yup.

But the thing was, he had climbed fast, and only came out of the secret passage because it ended here, so he missed his stop on the sixth floor. By one.

Meh.

Dragging himself out, Jake took a quick glance around to make sure he knew where he was, before heading to the stairs so he could get down to the sixth floor where his other passage was.

What fun!

Anyway.... back to G-Man.

Ha. Livvy's lips curled up into a smile at how he worked her name in on his sentence, how ever so cleverly. Awww... ickle schmartypants. "Why I guess you're right, G-Man. Guess your masculine appearance knocked the senses out of me," she said, grinning sweetly.

And before she knew it, the boy had dropped Cela's arm and was pulling her, Livvy, towards the exit. "Off to Hogsmeade we gooooooooo!" she said, grinning and she looked back. "C'mon Cela and Bar-Bear!" Livvy said, happily as she strutted out of the Common Room, holding onto G-Man's arm.
"Let's race 'em to the chutes!" Garret grinned at the girl tucked in his side, hoping that she would agree to his ruse to get a few minutes ahead of Cela and Barry. Not that he didn't like Cela...

But how did she expect him to ever get a girl interested enough in him to want to kiss him if she kept tagging along?!

I'm ready!

Barry came out of the common room and watched Garret and Livvy walk on ahead of him. But oh well he could wait and he`d missed Cela so he waited for her to catch up so she wasn`t left behind

Livvy's eyes danced delightfully as she grinned back at G-Man, after walking out of the Common Room. Looks like she made a new acquaintance. Quite a good thing. She had been rather lonely all these days. Busy with classes.. homework... OWLs... and Quidditch, it was nice just to 'hang out'.

"Race? I like races! Okay!" Livvy said, smiling. She turned around to look back at Cela and Barry. "Race you guys to the chutes!" she said, laughing as she began running down the corridor, all the while keeping her arm around the G-Man's.

She had just had to get out. Not only had it been odd sitting in the locker room, listening to what had been going on during the match, but she just couldn't take the pounding in her head. The sounds from the pitch had only made it worse, so she had snuck out to go see Nurse Avalon. Who, after looking her over, had helped make the bump on her head go down and had given her a pain potion. So at least her head wasn't hurting, but she couldn't forget what she had heard before she had left the pitch. And, since she had a feeling anything that was going on after the match was out in the grounds, she had figured the common room would be safe for a while. So she could brood, letting her disappointment for not being able to finish helping her team take over for a while before facing people.

So she stepped into the seventh floor corridor, for once happy that she hadn't seen anyone or been seen on the way up from the Hospital Wing, and turned to make her way over to the door leading into Ravenclaw tower, walking slowly but deliberately. She trusted that her head wasn't going to explode again, hypothetically, at least, but she didn't want to take any chances.

Robert raced up the stairs searching almost each floor he could and had yet to find Liz. It wasn't until he checked the Hospital wing and the nurse said that she had just left that his frustration grew even more. WHY would she go wandering off without anyone? She had a bloody head injury for Merlin's sake. Even she wouldn't let him do that. Stopping in the stair well he looked up the stairs and back down before settling on checking the common room first.

Taking the steps three at a time he ran up. When he saw her he was.... And to top it off they lost and he felt responsible because his playing was HORRIBLE. Willow must really hate him to have made him Keeper. What was she thinking?! He hadn't caught not one goal and that bloody Huffie was an inch from getting a good punch in the nose just for his troubles. As he reached the landing he looked down one side of the corridor seeing no one then turned and looked down the other....

Walking slowly in the direction of the common room was a familiar small shape. "ELIZABETH!!!" He marched his long legs in her direction and reached her in no time. His teeth clenched he glared down at her before waving his hands as he spoke, "Where in the bloody hell have you been?! I've been searching for you everywhere! Are you mad?! Wandering around the castle by yourself when you've had a head injury and who knows what lake creatures wandering around. What if you had slipped and fell in and they got you!" He spoke rapidly and didn't slow down all of his frustrations were coming out on the one person he didn't want to happen but it was too late there was no stopping now. "Not to mention that we lost the game and the bloody nightmare of a Captain made me Keeper. ME! Then when I went down for a little moral support, so you could lie and tell me what a good job I did you weren't there! I've been frantic looking for you!"

Elizabeth had heard someone running up the stairs, and since she thought she recognized their steps, she slowed down a bit more. Until she could listen more, at which point she could tell he wasn't happy. And no wonder, really, if she wanted to think about it. Considering how he'd been before going back out onto the pitch after the accident in the locker room, she couldn't imagine it had gone over well coming back to not find her waiting. Taking a deep breath, she waited, finally hearing him yell as he came toward her, and she turned around. Clenching her teeth, she sat there watching him as he ranted, flailing around like a crazy person. Thankfully he wasn't flailing in her direction, because head injury or not, she would have had to stop him if he had.

And then it seemed like he'd finished, or taken a breath, something, and she took another deliberate breath before looking up at him. "First off, I wasn't about to sit in there by myself, listening to everything that was going on out there, just to soothe your ego afterward," she said, speaking in a dangerously low voice, belying how close she was to really snapping. "Because yes, as you so helpfully pointed out, somehow I seem to be the one with the head injury this time. And when I feel like my head's going to explode I'm not about to pretend everything went along great out there. The locker room's not soundproof, and I'm sure Willow could have found somewhere else to put you if she really hated you. Like, not on the team at all." Which she knew would go over really well with shifting to professionals after graduation, finding out he'd been ejected from the match. For stupidity.

She closed her eyes for a second, taking a few breaths as she waited for the new pounding in her head to stop. At least this time it had nothing to do with hitting her head. But then she opened her eyes again and glared up at him. "Focus on something other than yourself for once. Because if you had, you'd know that I'm not going to go traipsing off without knowing I'd get where I was going safely. My head hurt, it didn't keep me from using common sense. The oddly helpful thing about professors knowing about the flooding? They give us ways to get places where we can avoid the water. Ladders are quite useful. So your little worrying about me slipping and falling into the floodwater? Irrelevant, seeing as I got nowhere near the flooded area of the school. And don't you think I'm as upset about us losing as you are? I'm sitting here not knowing if things would have gone any better if I had just paid attention so I wouldn't have tripped over that bloody broomstick in the first place." And the fact she was starting to use British slang didn't escape her, even though she was too worked up to wonder about it. "If you hadn't been so upset about everything else, you wouldn't have even had to look for me. You would have known what I'd do." Breaking off, she looked away, knowing that if he kept acting idiotic, she couldn't guarantee she'd avoid hitting him. She needed to calm down.

Breaking off, she looked away, knowing that if he kept acting idiotic, she couldn't guarantee she'd avoid hitting him. She needed to calm down.
Robert didn't even notice how she was standing there with her own teeth clenched, didn't even care that his own little rant seemed to be getting to her as he went on. As she spoke he fidgeted impatiently not really hearing what she was saying until he heard the last bit, "What in the bloody hell is that supposed to mean? Not on the team.... Even Willow can't deny that I'm better than half of those guys out there," he said with a gesture of his hand indicating the pitch. "Is there something you want to say about my playing?!" His temper was starting to get the better of him and he didn't even realize that he wasn't particularly making any sense.

"How can you say that? I've been looking for YOU...I've been worried about YOU and you don't seem to even understand what could have happened. Great so they used bloody ladders...well what if you had fallen off the bloody ladder! Everyone was outside!" He walked around almost pacing as he continued to rant, "For all this talk of common sense you're bloody stupid sometimes! You have a higher chance of falling off of a ladder it you say, oh I don't know, got dizzy or something than you would on the bloody stairs!" Oh he had known he went too far with the 'stupid' comment but he didn't care. "I mean how can I not be angry when the person I love does something so...so bloody STUPID as to go wandering around the castle when no one else is inside, after a serious injury which she THINKS is fine but can't be one hundred percent positive. Did it even occur to you and your 'brilliant' common sense that no one else was inside or if they were weren't going to be readily accessible if something did happen? Of course not." He shook his head and muttered 'stupid' under his breath inaudibly as he continued to pace a bit.

Elizabeth rolled her eyes as, of course, Robert latched onto her comment about Willow and playing. "What did I mean?," she echoed. "You're the one who seems to think Willow hated you and that was why she had switched your position to keeper. Ever thought that she may have done it because she thought you'd manage to block a goal? It's your own fault if you did so badly, not hers." And the fact she now was defending Willow was a testament to her current annoyance, since at this point there really wasn't a lot of love lost between her and the captain. Even if she was still slightly worried she'd get reamed for her injury and forcing them to find a replacement. Which had apparently not helped very much, since they weren't at a celebration now.

And part of her snapped as he continued ranting about being worried about her. "Fine! You were worried about me. As you can see, I'm perfectly fine right now, thank you very much. And I didn't fall off the bloody ladder, as you seem to be so concerned about me doing. If I had felt dizzy, I wouldn't have gone on it. Or I would have held on until I knew I could make it to where I was going." The fact he kept calling her stupid was getting on her nerves, and she clenched her fists to hold herself back. But as he started pacing, and she heard him continue muttering the word, she intercepted his pace and hauled back, landing a solid right hook across his jaw. "Don't you dare insult me like that. I currently don't care if your concern over my well-being is what caused it. You do not act like I have no idea what I am doing. I've had to deal with enough of your head injuries to know what's serious, and I'm not going to do something unless I'm positive nothing's going to happen. I am not stupid, and you're an idiot if you even entertain the thought." The anger and adrenalin currently running through her was making sure her injury wasn't going to come back any time soon.

He could feel his blood starting to pulse harder as he clenched his fists, "MY FAULT?! If you hadn't tripped over the bloody broom in the first place I wouldn't have been worrying about you. Who knows if you had been paying attention to where the bloody hell you had been going and played we might've won so don't start. And since when do you back Willow?"

Her words were starting to grate on his nerves as she spoke because somewhere in the verrrrrrrrrrrrrry back of his mind he knew she was right but he refused to let that sink in. No...he much preferred blaming her for all of his frustrations? Why even he wasn't sure but she just seemed like a viable target at the moment...well the only target really. Too bad for her. He was about to say something else when he was stopped by her and he growled, "Move..." he didn't get it all out before her first rammed into his jaw and his eyes widened. Did she just hit him? Really? His eyes narrowing he turned to look down at her, rubbing his jaw, his face bright red in anger and his other hand rigid in a fist. "Don't. Ever. Hit. Me. Again." he whispered dangerously. He didn't bother listening to what she was saying instead focusing on calming himself down. He hadn't gotten into a physical confrontation yet and he certainly wasn't about to start with Liz of all people. Thoughts, memories really of the fights he and Mariska used to have flooded his mind and for a moment he tightened his fists even more, clenching his jaw harder until his teeth were grinding together. He didn't need this. Not right now. It was liable to cause him to do something he'd regret. Looking at Liz through narrowed eyes, "Fine. You don't care. I won't care. You be stupid all you want out here, alone and by yourself." He pushed past her and headed in the direction of the Room of Requirement, "And don't follow me!" He yelled as he kept walking, his back straight, without so much as a look behind him.

He yelled as he kept walking, his back straight, without so much as a look behind him.
Elizabeth didn't flinch as her comment about the match hit a nerve. "What? You think I could have hit a bludger to help us catch the snitch? Or my bat was going to stop any goals?," she asked, sarcastically. If he was so determined to think he was a horrible keeper, whther or not he had been worried about her, she wasn't going to convince him otherwise. And she wasn't about to let him know that she had been wondering if she would have made any difference in the second half of the match either. "And apparently I back Willow when you're being obtuse and blaming her for your own problems," she snapped, irritated at him for picking up on the very thing she had been surprised at herself.

As he reacted to her punch, she stood her ground, keeping her own fists clenched. She hoped he wouldn't physically retaliate, but she wasn't about to stand down either. At his whisper, her eyes narrowed. "Don't. Call. Me. Stupid. And. I . Won't. Hit. You," she replied, in exactly the same dangerous whisper. She wasn't scared. Holding herself rigid, she watched the emotions play across his face, too incensed to care about what was happening. And she kept her hard gaze on him as he narrowed his eyes at her and spoke, barely hearing what he said until the end. When he turned to walk away. But as he did, her anger splintered, and a thread of concern slipped in, causing her eyes to widen. He isn't actually leaving, is he?, she thought, suddenly not so certain. One fight couldn't be the end of everything. Trying to take a deep breath to calm herself, she flinched at the way it shuddered. And then she felt herself start moving after him, ignoring his yelled command and instead speeding up until she could grab his arm. "No," she said, fighting back the growing worry.

He continued to walk toward the room of requirement, his mind racing with memories and what had just happened. He needed time to cool down, sort things out, something. He had never gotten into a fight with Liz and here he was getting into one on the level with some that he and Mariska used to have. His mind started rolling over and over in his mind the fights they had. As he reached the blank space of wall that he knew would be where the door would appear, his mind still on past fights, he felt a hand on his arm and without stopping to think he yelled, "Bloody hell! Will you just do what I ask for once Mariska!" As the voice that spoke reached his ears he realized his mistake, what a stupid idiotic mistake and he closed his eyes. Raising his hand to the bridge of his nose he shook off Liz's arm easily and headed toward the door that had appeared. "Just leave me alone..." he said almost resigned and threw open the door with a loud bang. If he hadn't dealt irreparable damage with that bloody slip it would stun him. He couldn't believe he had just done that. Liz wasn't Mariska...far from it.

At Robert's angry reaction to her touch, especially the slip of the tongue, Elizabeth's eyes widened and her grip loosened. As he shook her off, she stood there, completely thrown for a second as she dealt with her physical and emotional response to the thought that he'd even think of comparing them to his relationship with Mari. It hurt, almost more than she could stand. But the resignation in his voice as he decided to go into the room of requirement snapped her out of her stupor, and she blinked as the door hit the wall. "No," she whispered as she watched him disappear inside. And a few seconds later she moved, slipping inside the room herself just before the door slammed shut again.

Stupid ruddy Common Room fuull of STUUUPID ruddy Gryffindors. HMPF. No bloody peace around here.. the nerve of some people.. Mumbling and grumbling under his breath like an irritable old man, Clifford stumbled through the portrait hall and into the seventh floor corridor.

Eh, he was likely to get more peace and quiet out here than in there. Brow furrowed, the Head Boy slumped down on the floor, back against the cold, hard wall. Bleh. He didn't like those squishy red armchairs anyway. They sucked.

Still huffing, the seventh year proceeded to empty his pockets. Oh yes, he'd left well equipped and prepared. He had enough chocolate here to last him a good couple of hours. NOM.
