And when you're not sleeping, I would sit beside you and talk to you and when you finally fell asleep, I'd stroke your hair."
Merlin, she adored playing with his hair so much. Instead of reaching for it, she instead continued to sway their hands between them.
Oh Hufflepuffs. What a fine excuse for Issy and Samson to spend more time together. The fact that it was Samson proposing this meant they stick together filled her with glee. A long time ago, Issy had learned that, as long as she was with Samson, she would be happy. Brushing aside her fringe, her gaze remained on Samson, a serene smile upon her face.
But nothing could top what came next. Issy did all she could not to swoon and she fought to prevent the sigh that wanted to escape her parted lips as Samson tucked back a lock of hair she'd let fall free. But it was the words... her heart soared, her head buzzed, her body trembled gently.
"Samson..." she breathed, sighing. Whenever he did performed such simple actions or said such things... ag! It filled her with such bubbly sweetness... Her fingers curled tighter upon the remaining fingers she still linked to. "Oh, Samson, you're..." Her breath fell short. Samson noted how positively adorable Issy was when she talked. And she talked a lot, all the time. Therefore she was adorable all the time. He liked that very much.
"Well, miss Cortella, just know that I would love your company at any time of the day, whether I be sick or not. I'd gladly appreciate every little thing you would do for me. And I hope you stroke my hair even when I'm not sleeping. It would be unfair to me, I wouldn't be able to feel your little hands," he kind of teased, then he brought her other hand up to his lips and kissed her fingers very gently. Then he smiled. He didn't know why he did that, and he didn't understand why it wasn't as awkward as he had expected it to be, but in any case, he rather liked it.
He was starting to appreciate a lot of things a lot more these days with Issy. Things he would normally overlook, or normally be annoyed about. He was a changed man. Kinda.
As she looked up at him, happiness brimming from those pretty orbs that were here eyes, he looked down on her trying to top that glee. When was the last time he was happy with a girl? Never. Save for his mother, of course, he'd never been in like with a girl. Never in his whole life did he think he was even capable of such feelings for the opposite sex. And yet here she was, standing before him, hands held and looking into each others eyes and all.
Amazing, how large wonderful things came in such small packages.
"I'm what?" Samson asked, raising his eyebrows as Issy stammered. He squeezed her fingers back, and smiled a smile that made his eyes squint. | |

Amanda headed into the corridor, merlin she needed a break from doing homework; it was never a good idea to let a bunch of homework pile up because in the end you were going to pay for your mistake by spending hours doing the assignments anyways. As she was walking, she noticed Lucy and Gabben running down the corridor..holding hands. Oh this was not happening..
