Thomas took his owl and gave her a little package and a letter for his father the package was full of Berti Botts and on the letter was written how was he on the train and how has the feast.

Kaylee slowly walked into the Owlery. Before she got on the train to Hogwarts she promised her parents she would give them a letter saying she got there safely. Looking for one of the school's owls, she put her letter to her parents on the owl and it flew away.

Mia sighed. This was the silliest part of all, having to write every two days to her mother. But mum had been insistent. She took the short letter to Lothlorien and tied it to her leg. "Come back soon, Loth!", she called after the owl.

Natasha walked up to the Owlery, a letter in her hand, as she looked around for a school owl to use. She didn't often send letters to her parents, because it wasn't usually necessary. But it was important now, very important. Although she knew what her parents would say, she still needed to ask.

Soon she found an owl that looked good, and she picked up the owl gently, and tied the letter to the owl. Natasha watched the owl fly away, a soft smile on her face. When the owl disappeared out of sight, her gaze fell down onto the sunny grounds below.

Vivianne climbed up the owlery to send a letter to her parents and to her sister. Looking for her owl, Freeze, she saw Natasha. "Nat," she called. Maybe her calling wouldn't bug the owls out. Soon Freeze perched on top of her shoulder and Via began tying the letters on her feet. "you bring this letter to my parents at Halesworth, okay?" she told the owl motioning to the letter on the right. "Then this one goes to my sister, Natalia."

She set freeze to fly and up she went. She just wished she wouldn't get confused with the letters.

Natasha turned with a smile as she heard her voice. "Hey, Via." She said, coming over to her. "Sending a letter to your family?" She asked her curiously. Glad to see her again.

Via watched Freeze till she's gone and turned to Natasha, "Hey pal," she said. It was great to hear from her again. "Yeah. Have to send a small note to Mum and Dad like always after arriving at Hogwarts." She had been doing that for four years. "And to my sister." The note for Nat was kinda longer. "How have you been, huh? Might want to go for a walk?"

"I've been good, thanks." Natasha said grinning. "Yeah, I'd love to go for a walk." She said with a warm smile. Natasha hadn't been able to get to the Hogwarts grounds... Yet. But she really loved them, and was happy to go there now. Have anywhere in mind?"

She shook her head as an answer to Natasha's question. "Let's just try to head wherever our feet leads us to," she said chuckling. "Maybe we can think of somewhere else to go as we walk along." Via started to walk backwards. "So let's go." No stumbling, she thought.

Natasha smiled at Via, and turned around and started walking with her. "So, how have you been?" She asked, conversationally, but still interested. She hadn't talked to her very much recently.

"I've been totally fine over the summer," she said. She had nothing much to do than shop and wander. "Been doing a lot of wandering at Diagon alley. Haven't seen you in there." Yeah, she haven't spotted Natasha back there, "What have you been doing?"

"I've been in Diagon Alley, too. We must have just not bumped into each other." Natasha said with a smile at Via. "But asides from that, nothing much, really." She said, simply. "Main;y I'm just really glad to be back at Hogwarts."

She smiled at her, "Yeah. There were too many people back there." They had reached the point that they had to leave the owlery now and so Via started to climb down. "Me either. I missed the school. So let's head somewhere else."

Sydney hurried to the Owlery, her silky brown hair bouncing behind her back. "Phew, father must be expecting my letter" She said to herself. She took out an envelope from her bag, tied it to a very cute Grey colored owl which flew away quickly. She turned on her heels and dashed outside.

Thoughts had been swimming through Varius' mind ever since the last term when the ghosts had arrived back at Hogwarts. He couldn't stop thinking about it and he wasn't sure why, but he was planning on acting upon his impulse and in order to do that he needed help.

The problem had been deciding who the most qualified and useful companion in his mission would have been and he had considered a different number of people. However, Celandine, the little Ravenclaw girl (despite her being a fourth year, and he a second) seemed like the most appropriate choice. Afterall, she had invited him to her birthday party... or had she? No matter.

Now Varius was faced with another decision: what owl to use? He wish he had his own as some of these school owls looked far to incompetent to be mail carriers. Some looked battered and bruised, others looked rough enough to be in some hardcore mafia and others just seemed to small to be reliable. He picked a rather average looking tawny owl and attached his piece of parchment to it's leg.

"Take this to Cela(ho) and make it snappy... Irkling," yes, he named his temporary owl messenger for the day. "Oh and," he reached into his pocket, pulling out a small treat he had stolen from one of the boys in his dormitory who did own an owl, "here you go. Now fly my pretty! FLYYYYY!"

And with that Varius left the tower. Oh, for those of you who are nosey, the message read:

Jack walked into the owlery and looked for his snowy owl. When he found his owl he attatched the letter to it's leg, told it to give it to his mum and dad and then watched fly out of the window.

Mystic stepped into the owlery. There was so many owls, how is she going to find hers she thought. She looked around and could not spot him. "Haru where are you," she said more to herself, but when she said that a small black and white scopes owl zoomed down off one of the high perches and landed on a stand for the owls. He hooted to say here I am. Mystic gave him her letter and told him to take it to her parents. She stood there for a few and watched him fly off out the window. She then left for class.

Natasha nodded with a smile, and went with Via down the steps towards the exit of the owlery so they could find some place else to go.

Laura wandered up to the Owlery. Leaning far out of the window, she let the wind whip around her face. For a moment or two, she just stood there, taking in the veiw. Then, Laura turned around. "Godric," she called softly, almost a whisper. Hew Tawney owl flew to her shoulde and stuck its leg out. She carefully tied the letter to it, and then, after giving her an affectionet nip on the finger, Godric flew out of the window, oh - so gracefully. Laura wished that she could do that sometimes. Just get away from things.

She shook her head. No, she wasn't going to wallow in the dispear of the past. She was already loving Hogwarts, and she was determined to make it her favourite place on earth. Shaking her head, her micheivious grin returned, and with that, Laura left the Owlery.

Iris walked up into the owlery and was amazed by the number of owls, she walked up a few steps over to the school owls and looked for two owls, a fairly tough looking one and a slightly smaller one. and owl each for the letters she had to send. She looked at the first one, which was for her mum and dad, and made sure that it sounded OK -

To Mum & Dad,
Hogwarts is amazing!! it's beautiful - a proper old fashioned English castle type - and I've met lots of people!

But Firstly, I was sorted into Slytherin!! I was really happy, because Aaron was sorted into Slytherin too! (you remember, that boy I told you about after I went to Diagon Alley) The Slytherin Common Room is in the Dungeons!! but it's lit up like my room is at home - though the dorms are more drafty and damp smelling than my room! (don't worry, no need to worry about the damp - it's not like muggle damp!)

I've made loads of new friends, Nearly all of them are in Slytherin too - these girls are called Mystic, Grace and Fallon. But there is this girl called Satine, who was sorted into Ravenclaw, but she's cool, and I got on with her quite well on the train.

I was a bit annoyed about having to go all the way to London to get to school, because I discovered on the Train that Hogwarts is very near our home!

It looked fairly neat, and covered more or less everything, so she ushered down the smaller owl, gave to letter to the owl and told it where to go. The owl hooted in understanding and flew off out of the window. Iris watched the owl until she could no longer see it and took out the second letter, which was for her brother.

Hi Robert,
Hogwarts is SO much better than Beauxbatons! I'll prove it to you at the holidays. I was sorted into Slytherin (My house colours are Green and Silver!) and its in the dungeons, but it's really cool in there.

I've not had any lessons yet, but the feast was amazing - i'll write to you again some time soon!

Yes, the letter for her brother was shorter - but it'll do for now, she gave the letter to the larger owl, and told it that it had a longer journey than the other owl does - and set the owl off on it's way. She sighed and leant against the window, watching the tawny owl set off for France.

Tiffany made her way up to the owlery, her deep brown eyes glistening with tears. She wiped them away. The last thing she needed now was any attention. She caught a glimpse of a large, grey owl sitting nearer to the window. It seemed capable of the long journey. Tiffany tied her letter to it's leg. "This is for my dad," She whispered. She watched it fly till it was out of sight, before she turned around to leave. For the first time, she caught sight of all the other people in the owlery. Some were stroking their owls, feeding them. This reminded her of her turtle (Tiffany still hadn't thought of a name for it) She made a mental note to feed him as soon as possible. Nodding at the owl-owners, Tiffany left the owlery feeling slightly more cheerfull.

Kevin limped up the stairs to the owlery and called Bubbles down and said to her "Take this letter to Aunt Helen" Kevin took Bubbles over to the window and watched her fly away Aunt Helen was the aunt that was always nice to Kevin

Lyra walked in to the owlery and looked around at hundreds of owls, and grabbed a piece of parchment and began writing.

Dear mum and dad, you to Jefrey.
Hogwarts has been amazing so far!, i've been sorted in to Slytherin!
The Slytherin common room is in the dungeons, under the lake and it's pretty cold there but when you sit at the fire its comfortable warm and i've made really cool friends, most are slytherin. I already had two classes, the first was Arithmancy, i thought it would be horrible because i'm so bad at numbers but it wasn't so bad after all. And the other was Transfiguration, I already vanished a twig! yay, but the class was dismissed because a Ravenclaw girl fainted.
Is Uncle still lying in ST.Mungo's? When your going to visit him tell him i miss him , love you all.

Lyra looked at her letter, pleased about it she called her owl "Daisuke?!" she yelled over the hooting of the owls and a spotted owl flew towards her and landing on her shoulder. "hey lil guy" she said at her owl and stroked his feathers. "can you bring this letter to my parents?" She asked Daisuke and rolled up the parchment , tying it to his little claw and walked outside the owlery. "safe flight" she whispered at him and watched Daisuke flying towards Dorset.

Victoria went up to the owlery to find Merlin her tawny owl, she had a letter for her parents about her first two days at Hogwarts.
